Both are drawn into a race against time to stop the plot of an American bin Laden and prevent a global catastrophe.

Evil is not born of madness, but madness of evil. Follow a rogue CIA agent who uncovers a shocking conspiracy deep in the intelligence community. But a shadow follows the investigation: a killer bent on a revenge so terrible, it is only matched by the crimes committed against him. In the end, no one escapes unscathed, no beliefs will go unchallenged, and no wrong will escape the terrible, final, and extraordinary retribution.
- “Stebbins nails it with this book. Just when you think you have the recipe down for international thrillers, an author upends it and creates multifaceted characters and a plot that never stops. Each book was unique. Characters were realistic.
An unusual and creative conspiracy novel with vibrant characters.
Excellent. Could not put these down. Really frightening when you think it is possible. Great imagination in characters and plot. I will check out others this author has read and purchase them. Great story!
Sorry to have it end. Great story.
A great thriller..went and got the next in the series straight away.
I had never read this author before but really enjoyed reading the series and plan on continuing. It is a little frightening while you are reading to realize how reliant we are on technology and what could happen in the wrong political environment so an interesting look at what could happen with great characters and a good plot.
Fast paced.
Erec Stebbins…no relation to me.
Never heard of this Author before but was drawn in by his name, Stebbins. Bought books 1-4. SPECTACULAR! Interesting characters, plot keeps building keeping you wondering where this (The world) is all heading…including the Internet, Social Media, hacking, Deep State Of the World, Military Power, Currency manipulation,
warfare, intrigue….I could keep on but you need to read yourself. I promise you a great action packed read. Can’t wait to read the rest of Erec Stebbins series.
Erec Stebbins takes conspiracy theories to the extreme. He creates scenarios that could play out in our current social climate. A fast paced but disturbing read
Simply amazing novels each stand alone, terrific characters and plots. So much action, twists and turns you won’t be able to put them down. The characters are truly amazing, well crafted and entertaining.
Title, author, rating
Intel 1
Sorry for the long review Actually 4 books, There is a disclaimer in the beginning that warns of political mention. Folks, it’s a fiction! If you can’t accept fiction with overtones of political bias stop now.
First, The Ragnarok Conspiracy
Special Agent John Savas is trying to find the terrorist that is planting bombs, against Islamist targets.
Very action oriented and would make a good movie, with the right director and actors in the lead.
As the CIA agents try to learn who is committing these terrorist acts against terrorist targets we learn about a super secure group who will go to any length to remain anonymous. The first capture ends as soon as the captor speaks and gets a bullet to the head.
Once they determine that money is a key and who had the finances to pay for all the materials things get even more deadly. Savas and Cohen pay a visit to the most obvious financier and Special Agent Cohen observes an artifact that resembles an item found on dead agents of the enemy. Subsequent study reveals a link to a mythological conflict called “Ragnarok”. Mention of that name gets a reaction from the financier and “hit squads” come out of the wood work to decimate the CIA team.
With about a third of the team left it is a hunch played by a member that reveals the location of the final hit and enables our team and joint forces with the FBI to get to the last hide out.
Good action through out. Readers of action, spy, war stories will enjoy. Sex is only mildly mentioned and gore is minimized. I’d give it a hearty recommendation for all readers.
Second, Extraordinary Retribution
Spoiler alert, Savas and Cohen appear only in the end. This isn’t about them.
Start out with people being killed, shot, stabbed, horrifically tortured, but not described, just saying.
Francisco is a priest and his brother is a former/maybe still CIA operative. When he is killed and a strange woman appears a search and a reason for these deaths begins.
The killer is code named Wraith. Who he is and why is slowly revealed through the story. Shocking to think our government could actually set up an agency within the CIA to conduct the things revealed. Both the priest and the woman find that not only are they tracking an unknown assassin, but they are blocked by their own agency from learning anything. It gets even worse as they continue to try to learn the who and why.
Another story that would make a good action movie.
Third, Anonymous Signal
Savas, Cohen, and Miller are all that’s left? Where did Angel, Mary, and Gabriel go?
Savas, Miller, and Cohen are in a trial. Not your normal trial either, a tribunal. Seems the military has suspended the constitution and civilian law. Intel 1 is accused of orchestrating a cyber attack and collapsing the world economy.
We bounce back and forth between the tribunal and what really happened.
Fourth Nash Criterion
It’s war! Our heroes must now find who is behind their defamation and going to such lengths as bringing the world to war.
While Savas and Cohen save and protect the President, the Priest and Sara along with Angel must track down the perpetuator.
They are against a big time media push that wants to claim the President has gone rogue and trying to form a dictatorship that gives the Executive Branch total power.
It’s back and forth action with lots of description. It would be a good action movie, better than the Marvel franchise currently playing as it would be more believable. Safe for all action loving readers.
That story really could be true… I really like how the author linked all four books to a grand finale. This could be classified as a fiction novel, or as a warning of what could happen…
Dopey
This series about husband and wife FBI agents who must battle foreign and domestic terrorists kept me glued to these books until the end of book four I They have action in every chapter that satisfied my need for excitement and heroism
Actually it’s just one book; artificially divided into four volumes. But inspired character development along with a flowing and believable narrative make for an amazing read, difficult to put down. The reader must start at the beginning to make sense of it all.
multiple unrelated books in this box set. Have read 3 of them. some better than the others
Interesting characters and plausible scenarios given the state of the current world zeitgeist. Hard to put down each day!
An action-packed look at conspiracy terror. I had some binge reading time with this series. Read it!
It took too long to get to the end
Held my interest such that I didn’t want to put it down or for it to end!
