Winner! 2017 Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence. How can you imagine forever with someone who’s leaving everything behind? Callahan, a former army sniper, wants to make an escape from his past and everything he experienced at war, but most of all, just not feel. Feeling leads to pain and he’s suffered enough. When he inherits a house on South Carolina’s Kiawah Island, he packs his bags, lured by the … Carolina’s Kiawah Island, he packs his bags, lured by the peace and seclusion he thinks it will bring. But, Callahan never counted on meeting anyone like Trinity . . .
Trinity has always been the cute, and funny one, who most guys overlook in pursuit of her “hot” friends. She became used to being everyone’s pal, until the day the young man she was attracted to, was drawn to her in return. He became her first great love, and first crushing heartbreak when she found him in bed with one of her closest friends.
To move forward, and to carry out her commitment to helping those in need, Trinity enlists in the Peace Corps, but not before returning to Kiawah for one last memorable summer. She just never imagined it would be so unforgettable.
Callahan doesn’t want to get close to anyone—let alone Trinity. He finds her perkiness insufferable and her attempts to entice a smile distracting. After all, he’s in Kiawah to leave all feelings behind. But when it comes to Trinity, who feels everything, it’s hard not to feel something.
Neither expected to fall in love. And no one could have predicted how inseverable they’d become.

Outgoing vs grumpy – who would win out?
Well, I know who I was cheering for – both of them! Callahan was ex-military carrying with him so much of the horror of war. What he’d seen, what he’d done, and none of it easily forgotten. Fixing up his inherited home gave him something to do but Trinity, she would give him purpose…
Trinity was a shining light, a happy, supportive friend in her close-knit group. Together for one last summer they were going to work and live it up, enjoying just being together one more time…
When Trinity discovers Callahan, she can’t help but be herself. Gently pushy, funny, warm and absolutely relentless in her hope that she can get through his gruff, tough exterior. Not that she wasn’t afraid to try again, but Cal was someone she couldn’t resist… And Cal felt the same way. Eventually…
These characters, including Trinity’s family and friends, quickly made them new favourites. Hilarious scenes, heart-pinging conversations and a slow build to scorching heat between Trin and Cal, meant a journey that entertained all the way through…
There will be more stories to come and I honestly can’t pick whose I want first!

How often could an emotionally wounded veteran find just the right person to help him heal? Love is a wondrous thing. The woman who is capable of showing him the kindness, patience, love and human tenderness needed is a blessing. Very heartwarming story.
Inseverable is the first book by Cecy Robson that I have had the pleasure of listening to. This book is full of humor, some angst, passion, alpha male jealousy and a love. Callahan has recently moved to Kiawah Island and is trying to meld himself back into civilian life. His time as an army ranger has shown him more than his share of tragedy and he is just trying to find his normal. He never expected Trinity, a cute, bubbly woman, looking to help others to enter his life. These two circle around each other for a while until she finally breaks through his barriers. Robson has a beautiful underlying story in this. It’s not just about finding your soulmate, but Callahan’s story of acclimating himself to his new life is very powerful. It’s hard to come back after his experience in the military. Between PTSD and living with survivor’s guilt, it’s a tough road. I did find it hard in the beginning to warm up to Trinity. Her overly bubbly personality and joke cracking to me was a little on the immature side. But as the story moved on, I found her way of handling situations and breaking through the walls around Callahan’s heart to be the best way she may have been able to deal with it. Callahan caught my heart from the start. Those broody, alpha males are the most fun to get to know as we find the warmth beneath their armor.
Tara Langella’s accent gave us a feel for the south. With Trinity’s character, she was at times over the top. She shows great emotion and has the big personality that Trinity has. Lucas Webley is amazing at portraying Callahan. He narrates with a slight growl, perfect for this ex-military, alpha male.
Loved this book!
I love a book that can capture your heart and make me laugh! Several times I caught myself laughing over some of the things that come out of that girls mouth very good book
Absolutely loved this book. Watching Callahan drawn out by the vivacious woman he was falling for was inspiring.
Phew! What a romantic read. Could not put it down.
Spunky, courageous, quirky, funny, strong were just a few adjectives that came to mind when I was thinking over Trinity after reading Inseverable. There were strong emotions attained during this read. I could do almost all of the emotion listed on the emotional chart. I was happy, sad, disappointed, angry, humored. I cried, laughed, panted. Callahan, oh my. What can I not say that would make you love him? He was hot, delicious, brooding, grumpy, sexy, sinful.
Both needing something. Both lured to the island for different reasons. Both on a course that will change their lives forever. Both find that there was something about the other. Neither could pinpoint what it was. Both having the summer to make a difference.
Kiawah Island has much in-store for these two. There was a slow build to the ride that would make this a very memorable read. Callahan gets a huge wake up call in life this summer. Wanting to run away from feeling will turn into the best decision he has made in his entire life. Because feelings have a way of sneaking up on you at the oddest of times and sticking in the best of ways.
Trinity was involved in her own life setbacks and she was taking this last summer to make something positive. I found her to be endearing to the max. She gave life her all and was overlooked for it. She gave her all to one and he took advantage of it. Now, its her turn to take back what was hers.
Cecy nailed this one to the wall. Pick it up. Enjoy it. You will find more on the other side that a quickie, hard falling, love fest. You get heartwarming, arms filing, heart overflowing emotional jaunt on bringing love to one and opening feeling in the other.
All I can say is wow… what didn’t I like!
Very enjoyable. The characters were entertaining and real. Of course secrets ruin everything once they are discovered but without a secret, there probably isn’t a book so there’s that. And then of course Trinity, thinks she is just average and every guys buddy, but is of course completely beautiful and has nooooo idea …. I don’t know why, but this premise always annoys me. Otherwise loved this book. Would recommend it
Great characters, wonderful story.
Sweet and sexy NA romance. I kind of loved how Trinity persisted and wormed her way into his affections despite his determination for isolation.
Being the mother of 2 Army veterans with severe PTSD, this story is spot on and gives me hope for some sort of normalcy
