Where Devin was all brooding darkness, Ayden was the shining light. Our star quarterback with the bright future whom everyone loved. But something wasn’t right. He was so guarded, and he wouldn’t let me in.
When Devin publicly shamed me, Ayden took my side, and our awesome-threesome bond was severed. The split was devastating. The heartbreak inevitable.
Ayden and I moved on with our lives, but the pain never lessened, and Devin was never far from our thoughts.
Until it all came to a head in college, and one eventful night changed everything.
Now, I’ve lost the two people who matter more to me than life itself. Nothing will ever be the same again.

Oh. My. God. This book has tornado-level emotional intensity. I was a total mess reading it, and it was really hard to shake afterwards because this book really sticks with you long after you’re done with it. This was a gritty, tragic and gut-wrenching story that includes a love triangle with a twist (all of Siobhan Davis’ books have twists!), yet there was a precious and profound quality to the connection between Angelina, Ayden, and Devin that allows the reader, between bouts of total despair, to have hope that things will somehow work out. There are several heavy subjects broached in the book, and no one is spared from heartache. In fact, it’s so easy to get immersed in the story that some scenes can be a trigger for people who have lived similar experiences. The evolution of the characters and their relationships, as well as a love that weathers the most vicious storms, are part of what makes this book so amazing. If I coud, I’d give it 10 stars.
I read this book twice, back to back. Couldn’t put it down
WOW. I started writing this review when I immediately finished this book and stopped myself. Many times I have written reviews immediately after finishing and my feelings are so strong, that my words are a jumbled mess and my review is all over the place. And I had no doubt that my feelings would be just as strong a few days later once I was able to somewhat put my thoughts together to write this.
Well, Siobhan, you’ve done it. You put my heart through every damn emotion with this book. There are very few books that have made me run the gamut of emotions and feelings throughout the whole book. In a series, yes, but never one book. There are few books where I have cried for various reasons throughout the book, books that had me yelling and swearing at multiple characters, had me pissed off at characters and just ready to throttle them. This book is just WOW!! These characters are so real and honest.
Devin, Ayden and Angelina are the awesome threesome – and no, it’s not what you think. LOL They have all grown up together since they were kids and stayed close through high school. But as they are getting older, they are growing and feelings change. In their senior year of high school, they start keeping secrets from one another, thinking they are protecting one another when in turn, it’s just pushing them all further apart.
When the truths and secrets are finally too hard to tell apart, everything falls apart between them all. The deceit, secrets, lies are too much for this awesome threesome and it puts a divide between them. Ayden and Ange (Lina) try to move forward with their lives without Devin. But he’s never too far away from their thoughts.
However, Ayden and Ange have a much more difficult time moving forward when it seems that Ayden too is starting to hide things from Ange and it feels like she is losing another best friend all over again. Then one night in college will change everything between them all forever.
Inseparable is told mostly from Angelina’s POV for most of the book with sprinkles of other POV’s. I have to say, there were times when I wanted throttle Devin for being an asshole to both Ayden and Angelina. I also wanted to throttle Angelina for coming across as selfish at times – as though everything revolved around her. But that’s also what led to her choices after everything came to a head in college. Ayden, I couldn’t hate that boy if I tried. As much as I want to say what he did was selfish, I can’t. God, I balled my eyes out on that one and had to put the book down to give myself a break (one of many breaks).
As I said earlier, my emotions were all over the place. I was happy, sad, elated, pissed off, hurt and so many other emotions. Siobhan’s writing just really puts you right there in the moment and you feel yourself getting pulled in deeper and deeper with these characters and the story as it moves along. This book has such depth, it will evoke very strong feelings and reactions. To be able to read this book in one sitting, was impossible. Not because it wasn’t amazing, but because I had to take breathers. I needed to calm my beating heart, soothe the ache and stop myself from throwing my damn kindle across the room. LOL
Inseparable deals with ALOT of issues. Siobhan writes them with such authenticity and never once glosses over any part of them. I won’t state what the issues are (gives away the monumental and turning moments) but know that they are handled perfectly and respectfully.
Inseparable is definitely a book that everyone needs to read. Siobhan may put your heart through the ringer, but it’s damn well worth it.
Siobhan Davis fires on all the feels in her latest novel in which three childhood best friends promise to be Inseparable forever until a heartbreaking choice destroys their bond beyond repair.
Siobhan writes an emotionally naked story about a girl and her two neighbors, Devin and Ayden. The three grew together and thought nothing could separate them until their senior year in high school when they started keeping secrets from each other and teenage drama ensues.
Angelina was harboring a crush on Devin, who in turn had started drinking, getting into trouble and sleeping around, simultaneously crushing Angelina’s heart while Ayden, star quarterback with NFL possibilities, began to slowly pull away. But a line is drawn when Devin humiliates Angelina forcing Ayden to side with her until their choices irrevocably tear them apart.
On that tragic night, Angelina not only lost her two best friends, she also lost herself to guilt and despair, a self torment without hope of getting out of. Even as the plot falls into torment and tragedy, the lovers’ plight will hold you in thrall. Of course, this begin a Siobhán Davis romance novel, all is not lost as she infuses her story with her own mix of drama and swoony love. The hero and heroine’s journey will haunt your dreams as book hangover overtakes you.
Inseparable is standalone contemporary romance by Siobhán Davis. It’s an emotional and touching new adult, friends to lovers, love triangle. Told from two points of view and has a happy ending.
OMG. This book was fantastic but so very hard to read in places. Three childhood friends – Angelina, Devin and Ayden. They are inseparable growing up, but their friendship starts to unravel. This is such an emotional read that it was very hard going in parts. Secrets are being kept. A secret love is hidden. Secrets that should have been spoken lead to an unbearable tragedy. This book had everything and I just loved the ending. I will most definitely read anything this author writes. She is brilliant.
Wow what an amazing story. It took us on a journey of 3 kids who had this unbreakable bond and did everything in their life together. Ange is the heart of the group but she hides her feelings for Devin. Ayden discovers that he to has feelings for not one but both of them. He fights himself at every turn not to be gay. Through the course of the high school years Devin pushes her away and Ayden swoops in. Through it all things happen and two people who shouldn’t be together are and the other leaves and never says why. A few years pass and Angelina and Ayden are still together but he’s gone in the Marines and bam Devin makes an appearance again. One thing leads to another and the finally get together. Ayden returns and finds them and next thing they know he kills himself. Never knowing why it takes a toll on her and she fanishes. 5 years pass and Devin makes it his mission to find her and make it right somehow. We watch everything they had once before make a comeback and find out so many truths that it literally makes us hurt for them all over. By the end of the story we see the knowledge of Ayden’s truth revealed and everything come full circle. It was a masterpiece and I’m looking forward to reading what you have next. I give this book 5 stars.
Wow! I think that’s the only word I can come up with for this book.
The more books I read of Siobhan Davis the more I can’t wait for her next book or series to come out. This book has definitely made me love her writing even more. I was drawn in and lived the story with these 3 main characters. I felt the love, the heartache, the anger, let me repeat the ANGER, the sadness, the happiness and all the other emotions these 3 went through. My emotions were all over the place.
This is a story of 3 best friends. Ayden, Devin and Angelina. These 3 grew up together, next door to each other and always thought they’d be best friends. Things start to change though as they get older and then during their senior year in high school there is a falling out. There is just to much that goes on and I don’t want to give any spoilers. With the falling out we get to see the cycle of relationships, decisions bad and good, and consequences of secrets. It’s a roller coaster ride and emotions.
I feel like Siobhan Davis is trying to teach life lessons in her books and what I take away from this is if you have true friends in life like these 3 were don’t keep secrets from them because you don’t only hurt yourself but you hurt your best friends in the process and set a totally different life course in action. I can only imagine what these 3 lives would have been like if only they would have opened up and talked to one and other and not kept the secrets they hid from each other for years.
You will not regret reading this book.
I have sat around for a couple hours trying to find words to express this book. I don’t think I will get it right, but I’ll try.
This book had me in tears at many times for many reasons. Happy and sad tears galore. there is so much that happens in this one book that makes you not able to stop turning the pages.
the book is sectioned into 3 parts. at first i didnt know why, but as i read through it, it made complete sense and i loved the way it was laid out.
there was times i wanted to give up on this book, not because the writing was bad, i dont think siobhan can ever write anything bad. but because the emotional turmoil from the characters was so much to handle at a time. The meaning in the book is very heavy yet i wouldn’t change a thing.
I loved Devin, so much. i was sucked into him from the beginning and was definitely on his team from the start. with that said i loved Ayden too as well as all the characters, well minus a couple but no spoilers from me!
this book needs to be read by anyone. it will make anyone who reads it sit and think about their life and make sure they are following their dreams. there is some sexual content in this book but it makes sense with the story and is written extremely well. dont let that shy you away from the book, you need to read this!
this book is definitely in my top 3 books read this year and i have a feeling i will be rereading it again very soon!
The book is about three childhood best friends, Angelina, Ayden and Devin. They have been friends since they were littles, they grew up next to each other and went to the same school too. Things have always been about the three of them, they have done everything together, they were they inseparable trio. But of course once they became teenagers things started to change, feelings started to change and their relationship started to change.
Angelina tried so hard to maintain their friendship to last, to make the boys stay together and friends but the more time passed the more apart they all became. During their senior year of high school is went all went downhill. Angelina’s feelings for one of them became too much to hid and when she found out he had the same feelings, she acted on it and of course things went much worse after that.
I don’t want to give the story away and tell you what happened to Angelina, Ayden and Devin, but what I can tell you is to be prepared for everything you can imagine and be prepare to laugh, cry (and Oh Man, will you cry a lot, trust me) and be shocked because so many imaginable things will happen. This is not your typical love story, there are some triggers, so be prepared because it will hurt you and your heart, but as ususal, Siobhan does an amazing job with them.
This is Siobhan’s first standalone novel and I wasn’t so sure how it was going to be, because I’m so used to read more than one book for her stories, but Holly Molly, did she do an amazing job with this book. I am in love with this book, I cannot wait to get a physical copy to add to my book collection! And I cannot recommend this book enough, please, PLEASE, go and read it, because trust me, you will LOVE it.
Ah, duh…5 out of 5 stars (would give 100 if I could
I’m first time reader of Siobhan Davis, so when I was asked if I were interested, the synopsis had me hooked even with my hesitancy towards love triangles. Let me tell you, love triangles are normally my huge nopes! But I decided to give this one a chance, which happens every blue moon. Be prepared to have your emotions go through the wringer and experience plenty of angst.
The one thing I liked about this book is how it was written, we go through their stories from high school, college and well after that. When it comes to POVs, two tend to be my max because things can get a bit confusing when there are too many characters involved. But Davis did a wonderful job with each character’s POV, it was pretty easy to see what was going on and who was feeling what.
I will say I was team Devin from the beginning, there was just something about Ayden that I wasn’t liking at all. So it was definitely interesting to see how things went wrong with all three of them and where they ended up. All I have to say is that it wasn’t what I was expecting at all. Not one bit!
We see these three each go through their own personal ordeal, all while dealing with their slowly deteriorating friendship. And with Angelina trying her best to keep the balance between all of them. Things happen and all of their lives change. And we’re taken on the journey of how they personally deal with what has happened to them.
Angelina remained the strongest until the end, she becomes so broken, you’ll be wondering how she’ll heal after so much heartache.
Their story had me hooked line by line and I managed to finish it all in one sitting. You’ll be engrossed, you’ll pick your team, tears will be shed and possibly the warranted feeling of slapping both Devin and Ayden.
Definitely a solid read!
