I didn’t mean to see him naked–it was an accident. It had to be, right?Because Noah McCormick and I have never been anything more than friends. In all the years I’ve known him, he’s never once laid a finger on me. And even though he was a cute lifeguard at 16 and a hotter-than-hell sheriff’s deputy at 34, he’s always been that protective guy I could trust to keep his hands to himself. I never … I never wanted to mess with that.
Until I walked in on him getting out of the shower and saw his hard, muscular body totally bare and dripping wet. At that moment I never wanted to mess with anything so badly in my entire life.
I should have covered my eyes. Said I was sorry. At the very least, I could have handed him a towel.
After all, I was only in town for a few days, and he was just doing me a favor by escorting me to my sister’s wedding. It wasn’t a real date.
But I didn’t apologize. And he didn’t cover up.
(Talk about a hot mess.)
After all those years of being just friends, suddenly we’re insatiable.
He’s made it clear he’s not interested in romance. Which is fine with me because
I’ve got a plane ticket back to my real life at the end of the week.
It’s all in fun…or is it?

Somehow I managed to pick up two week-long fling stories back to back, but both were great, so bonus!
I love this world of Melanie Harlow’s. I love Cloverleigh Farms, I love these strong, independent women and these tough but tender men. Friends / enemies to lovers and second chances make it all that much better!
Noah and Meg started as best friends, but have lived apart for a long while. Meg’s sister is getting married and she’s getting back on her feet after a breakup. Going back home lands her back in Noah’s proximity, and that chemistry explodes in what they decide will be a week long fling. Famous last words, right?
So much fun, so steamy, so good!
Noah McCormick has always been a phone call away, a friend she can always turn to when her life is in disarray. So when she picks up the phone to call him and tell him about her latest relationship gone wrong, she starts to miss home, and him, so she packs a bag and heads home in search of some comfort and healing.
But what she finds waiting for her is about to change the entire course of her life, and give her the one thing she has always craved…
Between the pages of Insatiable readers will find an emotional and sexy friends-to-lovers story that satisfies on all fronts. In this latest installment we meet longtime friends Noah and Meg, they have always been dependent on one another for advice and friendship. But when Meg returns home for a wedding things take an interesting and unexpected turn. One little towel mishap and a wave of attraction hits and shakes their lives up, suddenly friendship takes a backseat to attraction and stolen steamy moments. This one had some angst laden moments that tugged on my heartstrings a bit, but it also had some sweet and tender moments that left my heart soaring too. Once again I am left with a happy heart courtesy of Ms. Harlow, her words were moving, captivating, and took me on a unforgettable journey! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
Melanie Harlow once again brought us a heartfelt story in the Cloverleigh Farms series. I loved everything about this book from the red hot chemistry to the sweet and swoony moments. This story will give you all those warm and fuzzy feelings you want in a great romance. It was fun and lighthearted with a side of sexy. I am loving all these Sawyer woman and can’t wait for more in this lovely series.
Meg is heading home to Cloverleigh Farms and she’s hoping her longtime friend, Noah, will help lift her from the doldrums she’s been in since she and her ex broke up. Noah’s always been there for her since the day he saved her life. But, they’ve always just been friends. No matter that he’s gorgeous and sweet with a huge heart. But when she finally gets up enough courage to cross that line, he shuts the door on them becoming anything other than just lifelong friends. Can Meg change his mind? Even if she’s only in town for a week before she has to head back and get back to her life?
Noah’s crushed on Meg for years now. But, he’s never had the courage to make a move on her, thinking that not only is he not good enough for her, but that he cannot offer her what she deserves, what she needs – love, stability, and a family. Can Noah get over his insecurities and allow himself to love and be loved? Or will he let Meg walk away?
I love the Cloverleigh Farms series! Meg and Noah are so sweet together, and they have the chemistry that only longtime friends have, plus the kind of passion that doesn’t come around all that often. I felt for Meg when Noah pulled a bonehead move toward the end, and I may have (definitely) wanted him to have to grovel A LOT more, but all in all, I loved this story. It’s sweet. It’s sexy. And it’s friends-to-lovers, which is one of my favorite tropes. Can’t wait for more!
Another wonderful book from Melanie Harlow! Meg and Noah’s story was wonderful. Seeing two people who have been friends for years realize they are soul mates was beautiful. There were tears and laughs along the way; Meg and Noah’s journey was full of hope and love. An excellent read!
I loved it!!!! Melanie Harlow never disappoints, and Insatiable is no different!!!!! This book was brilliantly written by an amazingly talented author!!!!
This is a second chance friends-to-lovers romance that is sweet, sexy and such an easy read with writing that flowed beautifully. I really enjoyed the writing, the characters and the story-line, it is a definite page-turner.
Noah is a hot sexy cop who is very protective of his family, especially his twin brother Asher who has cerebral palsy. Noah is strong, loyal, and dependant, a really good guy that I liked immensely, although there were times he frustrated me beyond belief.
Meg is focused, determined and knows what she wants from life and grabs at it with both hands. A workaholic she is enjoying being home for the weekend for her sister’s wedding. The push and pull between Meg and Noah was really interesting to read, their chemistry was so evident to me even if it wasn’t to each other. That alone made for entertaining reading.
Told in dual perspective, which I love. you get both Noah and Meg’s feelings which helped get a grip on what the characters were dealing with and how they felt about it. Obviously, secondary characters were a massive part of this wonderful and warm family orientated book.
At times humorous, dotted with angst, filled with intense chemistry this book was a delight to read and one I would definitely recommend.
The Cloverleigh Farms series is something else! The series is about The Sawyer Sisters that one way or another are connected to Cloverleigh Farms a wineward-hotel-restaurant runned by their family, in a small town in Michigan. Now, we get to know Meg Sawyer and Noah McCormick, she is a lawyer living in Washington and he is a veteran who is now a police officer in their hometown. They have been friend forever, but never got to be together as a couple. They have been afraid to loose their friendship and connection. But, things are different and although the fear of relying on someone else it is there, specially for Noah, they try to connect. They are explosive together and their story is so good and sexy that you will not put it away!
I loved this book and you should read the whole series because the books are wonderful!
A good 4 star friends to lover romance that had me reading it in one sitting. I was curious to get to the end and see how it would play itself out.
Noah and Meg have been friends at a distance for a long time. Meg comes back home for a wedding and things heat up between Noah and her. Noah has commitment issues. Will he open his eyes before he loses her for good?
It was a slow burning kind of romance without too much angst. There were no twists or turns. I was not “wowed”. It was a cute romance, a family story. It’s a story that has been told many times over, so no surprises. Asher was my to go character which is Noah’s brother.
This book is part of a series but can safely be read as a standalone. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I recommend this story.
I love this series. The Sawyer sisters are a lot of fun on top of it all too!
This is the third book in this series and it is equally as much fun as the previous two. This time around we have Meg Sawyer who actually lives away from Cloverleigh- she lives in Washington DC. But she’s headed home to celebrate her baby sister’s wedding.
Her childhood hero, Noah, still resides back at home and it a local sheriff deputy. These two have been close friends since they were in high school. What neither one realizes is that they’ve each had romantic ideas about the other.
Now with Meg back home and neither Meg or Noah in a relationship, it’s time for them to explore their feelings.
This was a fun read. In fact the entire series is light hearted and enjoyable. This is a perfect read for a lazy weekend or while sitting by the pool.
Insatiable is the third book in Cloverleigh Farms Series. It can be read as a standalone, but why not start this series at the beginning, and get to know each of the Sawyer sisters, and find out how they found love. This story has so much of the troupes that I like to read. It has a hero, best friends to lovers, small town, family, feeling, and so much more. I adored Meg and Noah, their banter made me smile, and laugh. Their chemistry is off the charts Hot!! Meg is a lawyer, she is strong, and independent, but the one thing she hasn’t found is the love of her life. Or has she? Noah is a cop, he’s caring, and so very alpha. Yep I really liked these two, their my favorite couple. I really enjoyed this book and looking forward to the next book in the series.
5 INSATIABLE STARS!! This one is by far my favorite in the series. You put a deputy/cop in the story and I am a goner….Noah is everything. Noah and Meg have been friends forever and that always makes a great story when it’s a friends to lovers. These two will touch your hearts with all the feels, banter, some angst, sexiness and love. I highly recommend this book and series….it is so good and worth your time and money.
Insatiable by Melanie Harlow is a friends to lovers story that was such a fun and charming read. Meg is in town for her sister’s wedding and is looking forward to spending time with her longtime friend, Noah. As friends, she knew she could count on him. But when she sees him in all his glory, will things change? But Noah is not interested in love or romance. Friends with benefits may be just what they both need. I loved the friendship Noah and Meg shared, but as lines are crossed, can they find their way back? Do they even want too? Their chemistry now is undeniable, but Meg’s life is somewhere else. Insatiable by Melanie Harlow was a bit angsty, steamy and charming friends to lovers read.
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
This book has all the things! Melanie Harlow writes beautiful books.
friends to lovers
K-9 cop hero
small town
childhood friends
emotional romantic comedy
I’m 100% obsessed with the books in the Cloverleigh Farms series. Every book is better than the last!! Swoony, small town romances are completely my jam and Melanie does me right everytime. This friends to lovers story follows Meg and Noah’s relationship as they FINALY explore their simmering feelings for each other. They’ve been on simmer for years, it’s about time this pot boils over!! They are undeniably cute together, and their passion for each other levels up the HAWTNESS times 1000.
A devoted K9 town deputy who is protective and devoted to his family is what dreams are made of. Noah is a dream boat come true. While a little stubborn, he makes up for it with his dirty talk and charm. Meg never stood a chance when she was young, she was head over heels for Noah long before college. She definitely can’t resist him now.
I devoured every page of this book like my last meal! Every new book in the series is like a new Christmas present!! I’m literally giddy with excitement and Melanie Harlow never disappoints. I also loved catching up with couples from past books, all the sister were together for Frannie’s wedding *cue shrieking and clapping*!! I highly recommend this series!!
Whenever Melanie Harlow releases a new book, it is basically a guarantee that I will drop everything I’m doing, including every book I’m reading, and devour her books.
Absolutely loved Noah and Meg in Insatiable! I grew up in Michigan and spent summers up in Northern Michigan, so these books, and Cloverleigh Farms, hold such a special place in my heart.
These two wear such a fantastic and fun fit for one another. When they finally give into temptation, it’s explosive. But of course, the two of them have things they need to work through before they can get their HEA.
This book was extremely well written, was full of family, fun, and PLENTY of heat to keep you turning the pages. Adored this book from start to finish!
Meg and Noah, …………. best friends to lovers story with all the feels and banters and just downright warming. It was ridiculously cute and such a warm read. These two were friends but deep down had some form of attraction that they never acted out on until seventeen years later, lol. Noah had reservations after they finally crossed that line which surprised me because Meg was unlucky in love because she always put her job first. But nope she was willing to give up things for Noah. His stubbornness almost made him lose her but his twin set him straight. These two are very family oriented and again made for a good read. Loved it!!
What another awesome addition to the Cloverleigh Farm series!! All these are great reads that can be read as standalones but I definitely recommend reading them all! This is a sweet and sexy friends to lovers romance.
Meg and Noah have been friends for over half their lives every since he saved her at the age of 17 from drowning. Since then he’s always been her hero and they have always been there for each other no matter how far the distance. So when Meg comes in early to town for her sisters wedding, things heat up between the two but should they take a chance on messing up the friendship of a lifetime?!
I loved everything about this book! Meg and Noah have such hot chemistry and omg, I loved the shower scene!!
And there’s so much heart in this book too! Love how protective Noah is with his family!! And I definitely love the Sawyer family!! I can’t wait for the next story in this series!! 5+ stars for me!!
Who can resist childhood friends-to-lovers? Especially when it’s from Melanie Harlow? This emotional rom-com would be a great November read, just sayin… 😉

Insatiable by Melanie Harlow is aptly named. I was addicted from the very beginning until the end of the epilogue.
This standalone romance is the third book in the Cloverleigh Farms series. We get plenty more of the adorable Sawyer family, lots of sisterly bonding and, as we expect from Melanie Harlow, A LOT of steam.
Meg Sawyer is a lawyer. (Yes, I wrote it that way because I am incredibly cheesy and love a good rhyme.) Meg’s a perfectionist, an overachiever and a classic avoider. She’s had a string of relationships just fizzle out because she avoids intimacy to avoid getting hurt, putting her all into her career instead. When another years-long relationship comes to an end, Meg returns home for a visit and turns to her long-time best friend, Noah, for support. Noah, a sexy man in uniform, is loyal, kind and funny, has served his country and now serves his hometown as a sheriff’s deputy. Not only is he the hometown hero, but Meg’s hero as well. After 17 years of friendship they decide to add some new benefits, but Meg breaks the rules and realizes she doesn’t want to go back to just friends after this visit. Now that Meg finally found a man she’s willing to sacrifice her perfect career for, will he be willing to give his all as well, or will she finally experience the hurt she was avoiding all along?
Friends to lovers is one of my favorite romance tropes. I am a firm believer that friendship is a strong foundation for romantic relationships and if you can’t honestly say that your significant other is one of your best friends, you’re missing out. Also, the tension in the beginning as friends try to navigate their feelings and wonder if the other feels the same is always such sweet torture.
As usual, Melanie’s writing style evokes so much emotion and really paints the picture in your head. This book feels like returning to one of my favorite places and everything about Cloverleigh Farms is just as I remembered it. I absolutely loved all of the Sawyers being together and the family bonding that happened in this book. I definitely felt like there was more family time in this one than any other. I do have to admit that as much as I loved getting to read about all of my favorite characters that I’ve missed, every moment that Meg and Noah were apart I was chomping at the bit for them to come back together. The steam in this one was OFF THE CHARTS and Noah is one of the sweetest heroes I have read in a while. Top it off with a cute dog and I am completely hooked. Once again, Melanie writes a nearly perfect romance.
