I didn’t mean to see him naked–it was an accident. It had to be, right?Because Noah McCormick and I have never been anything more than friends. In all the years I’ve known him, he’s never once laid a finger on me. And even though he was a cute lifeguard at 16 and a hotter-than-hell sheriff’s deputy at 34, he’s always been that protective guy I could trust to keep his hands to himself. I never … I never wanted to mess with that.
Until I walked in on him getting out of the shower and saw his hard, muscular body totally bare and dripping wet. At that moment I never wanted to mess with anything so badly in my entire life.
I should have covered my eyes. Said I was sorry. At the very least, I could have handed him a towel.
After all, I was only in town for a few days, and he was just doing me a favor by escorting me to my sister’s wedding. It wasn’t a real date.
But I didn’t apologize. And he didn’t cover up.
(Talk about a hot mess.)
After all those years of being just friends, suddenly we’re insatiable.
He’s made it clear he’s not interested in romance. Which is fine with me because
I’ve got a plane ticket back to my real life at the end of the week.
It’s all in fun…or is it?

This series is on fire! I’m loving it!
Insatiable is book #3 in the Cloverleigh Farms series and follows the story of Meg and Noah. Well I can’t say that this was my favourite in the series I still enjoyed it. Meg and Noah have known each other their entire lives. There were parts of this story I just couldn’t connect to. It was a sweet and steamy friends to lovers romance with all the family drama that I’ve come to love in this series but I often I found myself irritated with the characters and frustrated with their actions and communication issues. No matter I still adore this series and look forward to Sylvia’s and April’s story next.
This third book in the Cloverleigh Farms series features a hero who values his friendship with the heroine so much, but he is absolutely terrified of damaging it by having a romantic relationship with her. He confines himself to the role of friend and protector. Meg and Noah have been friends since they were teenagers, when Noah saved her from drowning at the beach. He is now former military and is in local law enforcement. He’s not looking for a serious relationship. He devotes much of his time to helping with his disabled twin brother, Asher and his family after the death of his father. Meg is a workaholic political strategist in Washington DC, just out of yet another failed relationship and home at Cloverleigh for the wedding of her sister.
On this visit home, Meg is reevaluating everything about her life. At the same time, she and Noah both feel that the underlying chemistry that always simmers between them is feeling more intense than usual. They decide to spend a week indulging in their attraction to each other, and then she will be heading back to her life in DC. Of course, things don’t go as planned.
This book is smart, emotional, steamy, and beautifully written. I also very much appreciated the way in which Asher’s disability and ability was handled; Maybe someday he will have a love story of his own! Meg and Noah’s HEA was heartwarming and made me smile for hours.
I enjoyed this book but I’m not so sure that I liked Meg a lot. She is just ok. However, it was really steamy and romantic at the same time. Not too bad. 🙂
Melanie Harlow is a very skilled writer who can create characters with depth and craft a complex story. That said, this was my least favorite book of the Cloverleigh Farms series, and I’ve read them all, but this one was kind of a mixed bag for me.
IMO this was the good stuff—the Sawyer girls; Asher (he was a great character and well researched); Noah’s sister and her family; Renzo the K-9; and the backstory for Meg and Noah; also the epilogue.
Now IMO the bad stuff. This story sent some really bad messages. Noah is a very VERY flawed character. He’s got some very unhealthy coping mechanisms and doesn’t recognize abuse in his own actions. He’s also got paralyzing guilt and maybe PTSD. (And I don’t even want to talk about the fact that he kept stashing his dog in the spare room.) Meg doesn’t deserve a guy like that.
When I’m reading a romance I usually don’t want to blur the fantasy with the realism of therapy, but Noah’s got some major problems that were never dealt with during the course of this story and there can’t really be an HEA if a character is still messed up by the end of the book.
I’ve pretty much raved about all the other books in this series because I think Melanie Harlow is a really good writer and she does her research, but this book wasn’t well thought out IMO. However, whatever you feel about this book, you should continue reading this series because Books 4 and 5 are excellent. In this book though, the story feels like it’s a long way from finished and I can only hope for the best for these two characters.
This is the first book I’ve read by Melanie Harlow and it won’t be the last. Insatiable is the steamy page turner. I really enjoyed reading this beautiful friends to lovers story. Noah and Meg were perfect together. I loved watching their story unfold. I felt every emotion and it was a great experience.
I love the relationship between Noah and Meg, they have such sweet, naughty and witty banters. The chemistry between them is off the charts. A very engaging story.
A first time read from this author that was a great read! I’ll be checking out the series.
This book is funny, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
Meg and Noah’s journey to get their happily ever after was absolutely fabulous and so much fun to read. Their love for one another has carried them through many many years and has always kept them connected. If you love hot hero’s, strong women and steamy swoony moments, this book is a must read.
This series is fast becoming one of my favourite reads, I love my visits to Cloverleigh Farns and Insatiable is the perfect addition to this great series.
Meg and Noah have been friends for many years but neither of them have every thought about taking their friendship to another level because crossing that line could spoil everything they share. Meg is back in town for her sisters wedding, she is nursing a broken heart after recently being dumped so she turns to the one thing she can be sure of the friendship she shares with Noah. Noah is not ready for a relationship but when Meg accidentally walks in on him when he is stark naked passion rears its ugly head, lines will be crossed but will it be temporary or will this couple realise they both want more than friendship…..
This story ticked all my boxes, it’s a great read with a couple you will fall in love with but it was also nice to catch up with the residents of Cloverleigh Farm from previous books and I’m sure there are more stories to be told from this entertaining bunch of characters. An easy to read entertaining sweet romance with the perfect mix of humour and angst made this a story I couldn’t put down. Looking forward to more from Cloverleigh Farms.
True love story and why best friends make amazing husbands.
The series setup: five sisters all who are connected to their family’s quaint inn and winery in northern Michigan, and all with their own romance storyline.
This book features the local deputy sheriff Noah and big city girl Meg, who have been burning some serious chemistry since they were teens and Noah saved Meg from drowning one summer when he was a lifeguard.
What I loved was how their chemistry continued to grow when Meg comes home for her sister’s wedding after a devastating break up. I loved the sexy times they had, especially when Noah gets out the handcuffs! And their conflict which was so well orchestrated.
My only “not love” is that some of the details are just not my thing–the girly time at the salon, the bubbly sister wedding atmosphere. I know a lot of readers will love this stuff, so this isn’t anything against the author because everything came off beautifully. I just wanted a little more grit, maybe for Meg to be tougher when things came crashing down, maybe for a little more POV from Noah’s job.
Overall an excellent read with all the feels!
I love coming back to Cloverleigh Farms seeing the Sawyer family find adventure, new beginnings and boy the love. We have Meg and Noah, two long-time friends seeing there is more between them now. The chemistry between them is hot and man seeing Noah go all sex on a stick with Meg is hot. Each chapter we see them trying to fight the attraction but all it takes is one kiss and fireworks are exploding. Melanie Harlow sure knows how to keep the spice up between these two and readers be prepared these two are hot. Not only we see these two but seeing Frannie and Mack again how far they have come is beautiful. Cloverleigh Farms is more than just coming back to family but seeing friendship and love come together to create magic.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
I started here and went backwards in this series but not one book disappoints. Small town. High heat. All the feels.
As predicted, Melanie Harlow hit it out of the park with this one. I love a friends to lovers trope and Melanie nailed it. The angst, the ache, the romance, the steaminess, the witty banter, the chemistry, etc. Need I go on? My heart physically ached with this book. Around 83% if I remember correctly. Not every book can do that so I think that’s some special story telling power to create connection to those characters. This was book #3 in the Cloverleigh Farm series but can totally be read as a standalone book.
I loved Noah. Can you say yummy? I love men in uniform. Noah was alpha but yet vulnerable. He had a dirty mouth but sweet as sin intentions. And Meg, she is someone I could relate to. Not in terms of relationship issues but in terms of personality. She was strong but yet hopeful. She was witty yet powerful with her words.
The writing was amazing! The story line was entertaining and kept me wanting to turn the page. I finished this book in one day! My big butt will complain since I barely moved today but it was worth it.
I love a good second chance romance and Insatiable checks off all the boxes for me! Great characters, fantastic writing and a storyline that hooked me from the start and kept me engaged until the end.
Crossing that friendship line is risky but when Noah and Meg make that leap the sparks fly! They have both been stepping around their attraction for one another but once the fire is lit they are Insatiable for each other.
The biggest thing keeping them apart was Noah. He was feeling scared and didn’t feel like he deserved this kind of happiness when his brother struggled. He had to figure out a way to balance his need to support his brother instead of using him as an excuse that would keep him from a future filled with love with the one woman who has always had his heart.
Meg Sawyer came home early a bit early for her baby sister Frannie’s wedding in order to find…focus, no that’s not right…herself, yeah possibly. She usually only comes home for a day or two and goes right back to work as a political campaign strategist. Her type A personality creates problems for her personal life since she never puts the relationship before her job. Perhaps that’s why she needs to spend more time at home. Yes, the northern Michigan farm will always be home to her. She uses the extra time to evaluate various aspects of her life especially her personal life–like why men keep dumping her.
Noah McCormick has been protective of Meg since they were sixteen when he pulled her from the lake saving her life. Even though he’s fantasized about her even before that fateful day, he’s never made a move on her. She deserves better. Plus, he’s been burned too many times by women. He only does one-night stands now. Less drama that way much to his mother’s dismay. The more time he spends with his childhood friend, the more he fantasizes about her.
Until Meg walked in on a naked Noah… nothing was the same. They became insatiable for each other …friends with benefits until Meg returns to DC. Until Meg changes everything.
This book consumed me from start to finish. Once I started reading it, I didn’t out it down until I turned the very last page. Noah completely captivated me and stole my heart from page 1! He carried a lot of excess baggage on his shoulders for most of the book but Meg is the first person to accept him for who he truly is and helps him to let go of the extra weight that he has carried around all of his life. Their love story, that began as a mutual arrangement just while she is in town for her sister’s wedding, slowly turns into SO MUCH more. I seriously believe that I could’ve read a book of their entire life story and still would’ve begged for more. I loooooovve that their story began with them being friends. For me, that helped their story flow easier and cemented their feelings as the story progressed. I can’t wait to read their story again! This is definitely a book that I will highly recommend to all of my book friends!!
I absolutely friends-to-lovers books. They make me happy. They make my heart smile. Melanie truly can do no wrong when it comes to this genre, and Melanie ROCKED this book and this couple!
Noah and Meg MIGHT just be my favorite Harlow couple. Good LORD! The feelings I got with the build up were just so good. So flirty. So fun. So hot. It was SO EASY to fall in love with the couple. Hot cop – yes please! I want another book with them just because I love them so much.
