I didn’t mean to see him naked–it was an accident. It had to be, right?Because Noah McCormick and I have never been anything more than friends. In all the years I’ve known him, he’s never once laid a finger on me. And even though he was a cute lifeguard at 16 and a hotter-than-hell sheriff’s deputy at 34, he’s always been that protective guy I could trust to keep his hands to himself. I never … I never wanted to mess with that.
Until I walked in on him getting out of the shower and saw his hard, muscular body totally bare and dripping wet. At that moment I never wanted to mess with anything so badly in my entire life.
I should have covered my eyes. Said I was sorry. At the very least, I could have handed him a towel.
After all, I was only in town for a few days, and he was just doing me a favor by escorting me to my sister’s wedding. It wasn’t a real date.
But I didn’t apologize. And he didn’t cover up.
(Talk about a hot mess.)
After all those years of being just friends, suddenly we’re insatiable.
He’s made it clear he’s not interested in romance. Which is fine with me because
I’ve got a plane ticket back to my real life at the end of the week.
It’s all in fun…or is it?

4.5 “Not Potato Salad” Stars
I was so excited to read this third book in the Cloverleigh Farms series. This story is about Noah and Meg and let me tell you, they are fantastic. Noah is, in one word, dreamy. Sexy, K9 police officer, who is so loyal to his family and his pup. And Meg is his lifelong friend. She is smart, focused on her career, and so determined to reach her goals. I respected the heck out of her. This is a friends to lovers book that will just make your day. It’s sweet and sexy and so fun. This has definitely been my favorite book of the series so far. Melanie writes the best characters and I absolutely loved the banter between Noah and Meg. Also, the side characters were amazing and it was great to catch up with characters we already know and love. Diving back into this world was great and I can’t wait to read about the rest of the sisters!
Insatiable is the third book in the Cloverleigh Farms series by Melanie Harlow. It can be read as a standalone but I do recommend reading the previous books since they are amazing. They are tied together through the Sawyer sisters. Meg lives in DC so I didn’t know much about her until now. It was her turn to find love…
It all started when Noah saved her life at sixteen. And seventeen years later they were still the best of friends. Friends who lived thousands of miles apart. Friends were didn’t chat daily. Not even weekly, sometimes it was monthly or when one needed the other. It was the kind of friendship that was always there. It’s been three years since they were in the same town and now she was home for her sister’s wedding.
One week. That’s all the time they had. She was busy with her family but she wanted to spend time with him. And he wanted to spend time with her. As friends. Except something felt different from the moment they saw each other. They always thought the other was attractive but this was different. A need. A pull. Noah had to fight it. He didn’t want to hurt her. Didn’t want to ruin what they have. He didn’t want a girlfriend. He never wanted to get married or have children and she deserved a man who did. He was the man to protect her not hurt her. Then…it happened. A kiss. A touch. A shower scene out of a movie. One week. It’s all they had. Can they have their fun, a fling and go on with their lives? Back to the way it used to be with flirty remarks by text with a safe distance between them?
I loved Noah and Meg! They are a lot of fun with a twist of serious issues. I felt their warmth from the beginning. They made me laugh, swoon, and cry! Their inner dialogue? Oh my god…so good. The dirty birds these two. I just loved it all and can’t wait for the next sister to fall.
P.S Now I want a Twinkie!
Quotes:
“I’m stress eating Twinkies. But I also have margaritas,” I added in an effort to sound more adult.
“Twinkies and tequila. Classy.” I took a big swallow and set the glass down.
“I try.”
“Am I too picky?”
“You should be picky. There’s a lot of assholes out there.”
“Maybe I’m a terrible fuck.”
“Somehow I doubt that.” “But you can’t say for sure!”
“That’s true,” he said, laughing, “so maybe you should come home and let me take you for a test drive. Assess your steering and handling.”
That made me smile. “Very funny.”
He pressed close behind me and spoke low in my ear. His voice was deep and commanding. “You have the right to remain silent. Anything on my body can and will be used against you.”
“Oh, fuck,” I whispered.
“But feel free to scream if you want. No one will hear you.” (OH! I forget to mention he is a part of the K-9 unit.)
At the start of this book, you think it’s just another sweet, home grown, friends to lovers story. It very much is, but then it suddenly becomes so much more! Melanie Harlow always delivers and I should have been ready. Once you read this, you are going to know exactly which scene I am talking about. If there was any book that I have read that I would want my husband to read, this is it. The way that Meg describes her past lovers and how it has changed what she expects and needs resonated with me so much. Noah is dealing with some pretty heavy issues regarding his own happiness and his honesty with Meg is so refreshing. Meg and Noah started off as tight friends and the transition to lovers may seem sudden, but it felt so natural and right that you are cheering them along throughout their journey. I am going to need a serious HEA for Sylvia….I hope that’s coming soon.
A beautiful friends to lovers story that made me laugh, made me cry and made me swoon all at the same time. Noah and Megs story was great, watching the two see each other in a different light after knowing each other since they were kids. It was also fun to catch up with other characters from the Cloverleigh Farms series. This book had a great love story that left me with a smile on my face.
Noah and Sawyer… my goodness.
Melanie sure melted the pages when she wrote this. I have always been a fan of the friends to lovers.. This had everything I wanted with a twist! It had romance.. swoon.. steam.. but my favorite part was the sweet moments. It wasn’t a quick burn. It had amazing build up and gave me butterflies while reading it!
I was beginning to wonder if any of the other couples in this series would be able to give Frannie Sawyer and Mack MacAllister a run for their money, then along came Meg Sawyer and Noah McCormick, and these two were every bit as endearing as the original couple that kicked off this great series. Meg’s choice of Twinkies as her comfort food earned her bonus points with me. I mean, here was this successful woman who earned her law degree and now had a job she was really good at, yet there was this vulnerability to her as well. Now, Noah was far from perfect. There were times where I didn’t know if I wanted to smack him upside the head or give him a smack on the lips. He was stubborn and bull-headed, but he was dedicated to his family and his job, a trait he shared with Meg. That’s another thing I loved about this book; family was such a high priority for the main characters, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the family dynamics among the Sawyers and the McCormicks. With three of the sisters now living their happily-ever-afters, I’m guessing April’s story is next and we get an idea whom she’s paired with, and I have a feeling we’ll be getting five books instead of four in this series! I can’t wait! Five stars go to Insatiable.
Insatiable is the third book in the Cloverleigh Farms series, but can be read as a standalone. Insatiable is a slow burn, angsty, friends to lovers romance.
Meg has just gotten out of a three year relationship that lacked any excitement and is feeling down that no one ever loves her enough to fight for her. When she returns home for her sister’s wedding she reconnects with Noah, who she has been friends with since childhood and always had a bit of a crush on and wished for a little bit more between them.
Noah is a police officer who has very strong family values and a strong sense of family obligation. Because of his commitments to his family, he doesn’t feel like he can commit fully to a romantic relationship.
Meg and Noah have a beautiful friendship and their chemistry is pretty intense too. This book took me on a roller coaster of emotions as Meg and Noah navigated a friends with benefits relationship and the complex feelings when one or maybe both want more but can’t figure out how to go about it.
Melanie Harlow has a way with words and bringing out emotions in her books. I absolutely loved both Meg and Noah as the main characters, and I loved reconnecting with Meg’s sisters and meeting Noah’s siblings. This was a highly enjoyable read that I did not want to end!
Friends to lovers at its best!! Insatiable by Melanie Harlow has all the fun, the sexy and the heart we’ve come to love!!
I love a good friend to lovers romance and Noah and Meg are the classic example of just that. Though this being a Melanie Harlow romance there is a little more to it than just that.
Noah has demons and doesn’t want a girlfriend or romance but he has always wanted Meg since he saved her life all those years ago. Meg is trying to figure out what’s wrong with her and why she can’t seem to find the “one” and why every time she sees Noah her feelings just continue to go in the none friendship sort of way. Now she is home for her sister’s wedding and she needs a date and Noah is the perfect man for the job. If one thing finally leads to another that’s even better because at the end of the day she is going back to DC and he is staying in Michigan. At least that’s what they keep telling themselves.
I first have to say this is a classic Melanie Harlow romance – filled with great characters, fantastic dialog, and great supporting cast. Meg and Noah are wonderful characters that a little broken but when they are together they are great – even if they are slow to see it. There are also some great funny moments that are laugh at loud that are priceless. I will be honest there were a few times I wanted to go through the pages and strangle Noah but when he starts working through his issues and comes out the other side it was all worth it.
Melanie Harlow has successfully delivered a satisfying book once again! This story follows Noah and Meg in a “friends to lovers” story. The interraction between these two is just so enjoyable to read. Meg is a strong, independent woman, while Noah is a K9 cop who is comfortable living his single life with his dog. Their story is so adorable and is a great addition to the series.
While Insatiable is the third book in the Cloverleigh Farms series, you do not have to read the other books in the series in order to enjoy this story. However, I recommend reding them all. I think it is so fun to see the characters from previous books pop up while I’m reading and feel so much more invested in the overall story. Knowing so much about this family makes me feel like this place really exists!
Realistic second chance/friends to lovers story that has so many feels that you crave in a love story! Noah has had feelings for Meg since they were young in school. A close friendship that he didn’t dare lose by showing his real feelings. Noah had always looked after his family, especially his twin brother who had cerebral palsy. Somehow he has to realize that he can be there for his family and also have the love of his life. Meg has had many disappointing relationships, since she always put her career ahead of them. Can she make room in her life for Noah? I have to mention that Melanie really pours on the steam during the many intense love scenes that will leave you breathless!! I loved every aspect of this book!! Melanie always delivers the perfect heartfelt and sexy read!!
I completely adored Meg & Noah’s book! The old friends turned into something more theme worked exceptionally well. The relationship was like a warm blanket you just slide on into – comfortable and hot. Meg was easy to love, a character to relate with, and a sister you’d want to comfort. Noah (sigh) was the guy you have your eye on growing up. He was hot, great support for his family, and frustrating in all the right ways. Noah is not potato salad! (Read the book to get the meaning lol) This is a book I’d read more than once.
After another breakup Meg heads home early for her little sisters wedding. When she gets there she reaches out to one of her oldest friends, Noah. Noah saved Megs life when they were sixteen and they’ve been friends ever since. Noah and Meg spend friendly time together before giving into their attraction. They were super hot together! They both develop romantic feelings for the other, but Meg is the only one willing to take the gamble. Poor Noah doesn’t think he is marriage or family man material. I immensely enjoyed this friends to lovers story. I loved getting back to Cloverleigh Farms and seeing the Sawyer family again. I also enjoyed Noah’s family and the way they all gave each other crap. (It was so realistic.) Great Story, highly recommend it to everyone!
Noah is a dedicated family man, deputy, and friend. Meg uses work from getting close in relationships. After the last one ends she returns home and spends time with her best friend of almost 20 years. Spending time together brings out things that have been there all along but they were too invested in their friendship to be anything more. Sex is never just sex when friends are involved. Both are forced to face their worse fears in order to get their hearts desire. Noah more than Meg will find the strength in the most unlikely place. Great story of friendship and how the love of the right person can help you get the life you’ve always deserved.
Insatiable by Melanie Harlow is part of the Cloverleigh Farms series and can be read as a stand-alone. It tells the story of Noah and Meg. High school friends who have kept in touch since they were 16 y/o, but never have had a romantic relationship.
When Meg returns to Michigan for her sister’s wedding, the sparks and chemistry between the two ignites. Noah is a protector and works as the county sheriff and Meg, a lawyer lives in DC.
The question that this book raises is can friends be lovers, or will it ruin the friendship? Noah struggles with guilt over his twin’s disability and believes he shouldn’t have a future or happiness. Meg attempts to dispel this notion.
We have the opportunity to re-visit characters from previous books and we meet Noah’s twin, Asher who has cerebral palsy. Ms. Harlow provided an accurate compassionate picture of an individual with a disability. Not only discussing their daily struggles, but also how they overcome challenges large and small.
Insatiable was a wonderful addition to the series and I look forward to Ms. Harlow’s next release.
Friends to lovers are one of my favorites and Melanie Harlow truly gave me everything and then some with Insatiable!
Noah and Meg have been friends for years. While they each have wondered what it would be like to cross over that friendship line, the fear of damaging their relationship pulls them back.
Noah is uninterested in any long term relationship and Meg is looking for her knight in shining armor so there is no way this relationship can be anything more than friendly. Yet the easiness in which they can communicate and the level of comfort and chemistry they have is undeniable.
I enjoyed Noah, Meg and all the secondary characters in this story. It was fun and lighthearted with a touch of drama to give you that OMG factor, which was perfect. I am a newer reader of MH’s books and I have to say I’m really enjoying this series and highly recommend it!
LOVED IT! Noah and Meg are amazing together! I loved their chemistry. Friends to lovers romance is always fun to read and this one blew me away! Melanie has done it again. I ended the book with such a giddy school girl feeling and a major crush on Noah! I didn’t want to leave them. This book is totally worth getting and rereading.
I have been a longtime fan of Melanie Harlow and love her sexy, heartfelt and emotional stories. She has the golden touch when it comes to delivering stories that touch your heart while bringing all the sizzle. Noah and Meg were pure FIRE!! Lord did I love this sexy (childhood) friends to lovers story so much. What an exceptional addition to the already amazing Cloverleigh Farms series!
Meg Sawyer and Noah McCormick have had a life long friendship between them. But when Meg comes home for a week of R&R before her younger sister’s wedding, a fiery attraction between her and Noah begin to blur the lines between them. But with an aversion to commitment, Noah is so ready to push Meg away after a week and say goodbye to what they could have.
Gah!! I LOVED this story so much. Harlow brought the HEAT between Meg and Noah and then some and I was SO HERE FOR IT!! My kindle about combusted from the sexual tension and fiery chemistry between them. But what I loved more than anything was the real and volatile emotions that Noah felt. On one hand he has always loved Meg throughout his life, but his fear of not being enough for her and being torn in so many directions was so powerful. The emotions he felt were so real and raw, I could not help but ache for him.
Overall, Insatiable was magnificent and another breathtaking story from this amazing author! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula
I adore Noah and Meg one of the best friends to lovers ever you will swoon hard they are so sweet and funny and so so good together, now their are consequences of course and it is not easy as issues arise but I thought Meg was super strong and so brave and Noah with his life issues had to have a big wake up call. The writing is beautiful and the perfect push and pull you expect from this Author.
4.5*
I am such a sucker for a true friends-to-lovers story, especially one where there’s never been an inkling of feeling between the friends, until something out of the blue causes them to see each other in a different light. Melanie Harlow satisfied my craving completely with Insatiable. Meg and Noah have been friends for years- never more than a phone call away, but never anything more than friends.
When Meg’s life is thrown into an upheaval, she decides an early visit home is just what she needs. Once she and Noah are back in the same town, their friendship picks up right where they left off, and as Meg says, things between them are just easy. I loved their friendship, there’s a comfortableness there, but also a new awareness of each other, an undeniable chemistry- which makes the progression from friends to lovers pretty much inevitable.
Noah is my favorite kind of hero- loving and caring towards his family and friends, protective of those he loves, but with a bit of a closed-off side when it comes to relationships. Meg’s strong and driven, smart, but with her own vulnerability when it comes to relationships. It was quite a ride as these two went from friends, to friends with benefits, to friends with all kinds of feelings for each other. This story was emotional at times, and the journey for Meg and Noah, from being just friends to being everything to each other, wasn’t without heartache.Even when I wanted to give Noah a little shake, I could appreciate his thought process.
Insatiable is a really wonderful friends-to-lovers story. I loved getting to know Noah’s family, and spending some quality time with the Sawyer sisters! Ms. Harlow has really created a fantastic world with the Cloverleigh Farms series and I’m looking forward to more.
