“If he’s gross, I’m bailing.” That’s what I said to my supposed best friend when she asked me to take her place. A blind date, she said. What harm could it do? He was charming. Beautiful. God’s finest creation. He wined me and dined me. Made me do things I’d never before dreamt of in the bedroom. It was perfect. Dangerous. Arousing. But Jenny didn’t tell me the full story. She didn’t tell me … didn’t tell me about the debt she owed. And now Quinn Cane wants his money’s worth, and he’s going to make me pay whatever way he can.
“A debt needs to be paid.”
The woman who came to meet me didn’t owe me money. I could tell by her innocent eyes. Still, the debt will be paid either way.
She was something to play with and use as I saw fit, but something about Emily Brooks made me want to keep her. So she became my dirty girl. Pure. Innocent. Mine.
Then she whispered my damned name and invaded my world, changing its reasoning.
She wasn’t meant to break the rules. But she rolled my dice and won.
Shame. Forgiveness. Dark. Erotic. Romance.
This book is intended for mature audiences. 18+ only.

Where would you even start this review?
These 2 authors who I have never read before
have dragged me into the dark where the bogey man lives with uncertainty, nervousness and twisted me up with a story that was so painful yet pleasurable to read in its own messed up way.
The writing is superb and the co-writing was smooth and flowed excellently. A fab new dark read! My favorite duo of the Dark Writing so far has been Ker Dukey and D H Sidebottom but these two most definitely give them a run for that tops spot.
Emily, the quiet and unassuming photographer with mismatched innocent eyes, a body and soul unblemished by the taint of evil and sin that comes from messing with the edge of darkness that surrounds a family like Cane’s. I loved her purity and strength even when she seemed so fragile, her resilience and will to do whats right and protect was admirable in her character, but her strength and good intentions was her undoing as it led her into the unrelenting grip of Quinn Cane.
A man such as Quinn can tear the walls down with a roll of the dice, a smoldering charm and a deviance that had me wide eyed and squirming even at his most vicious and callous. What a Cane wants he takes, and poor little Emily had no idea what lay beyond his eyes, charm and seductive touch.
This story is a dark romance that held me to the end, with a plot thicker and more fluid than family blood, and characters that had me turning the pages for more. It was deviant, darkly alluring, decadently satisfying and dark as pitch.Oh, my goodness this was a fantastic piece of fiction.
There was a lot I wanted to say but trying to put the words together is difficult, I must start writing my thoughts as I go, because once finished my words disappeared, so trying to get it all out in a way that nor only doesn’t spoil the plot but wants me to entice you to read this is difficult , Buy here goes I have tried my best, hopefully it’s good enough and you agree
So first I should say I am now a massive fan of these two authors works and cannot say enough good things about their dark dominant scribbling s, they seem to have hit the depraved part of me that I only allow out when I am reading and even when they take me places in my mind I’m really not sure I want to explore but alas it’s a journey that I can’t help but appreciate with that great big shove outside my comfort zone.
This journey through Quinn Cane’s kingdom along with the poor innocent Emily was delicious, depraved and bad, so what does that make of me or you the readers ??
It was a mixture of rainbows fire thorns blood and tears
Innocent Eyes goes through a whole kaleidoscope of emotions and while this is definitely not a pretty as a picture love story it also kind of is in all of it’s horrific glory
What makes this so deep is the true darkness and depravity of Quinn Cane’s decadent nature and how he corrupts the innocent Emily.
It’s the beacon that manages to bleed through to the darkness.
Emily has a light that helps to cleanse some of the blackness that is Quinn’s tarnished soul while his Dark nature in return paints hers in shades of grey, kind of a meeting in the middle of there true natures.
Emily, the corruption Quinn brings to the table to oust the rot from her life, strengthening her natural nature.
While Quinn benefits greatly from Emily’s guiding light, tempering him kind of his conscience.
So, There will be times were you will absolutely hated Quinn with a passion.
He takes what he wants selfish attitude, like a spoil t brattish kid with a new toy he wants to break, then put back together, damn the repercussions.
His world, his rules.
In the beginning, Quinn’s actions were truly reprehensible and it was difficult to see how he was going to redeem himself.
I also understood why he has grown into the monster he become, doesn’t stop me wanting smack him one though
Emily herself, she was stronger than she thought, I loved her naive optimism for life.
Also at the same time, I needed her to grow a backbone, and stand up for herself.
I was still totally rooting for her all the way as whatever was thrown at her she dealt with like a maiden warrior
You can not help yourself in liking this woman.
I was amazed at her resilience and ability to see the best in people.
The side characters here were few, but what we did have were so diverse a definite mixed bunch of very different individuals.
Some I especially loved to hate and I am so glad they got the rewards that their actions brought.
We reap what we sow in life and Karma’s is a Bitch
Except in the case of Quinn, I’m giving him a free pass on account of his repentance and just because I can he he.
Seriously though he did do a 360 in regards to his emotions and overall attitude so I’m feeling the love at this moment in time.
So this story was jam-packed full of everything, it was a rollercoaster journey of every emotion imaginable and I adored every minute of it.
I do so love me a HEA, even better when its a bitter fight till the finish.I am now going to check out any and all of these two very talented authors works because this was outstanding in all of it’s delicious darkness
Fingers crossed that these two talented authors pair up again because this diamond worked in every way and flowed together seamlessly. I Cannot recommend this enough
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
Wow, just wow.
What’s it like to love your life by the roll of some dice? Decisions left to fate. That’s how Quinn lives his life. What he wants he gets. He just takes doesn’t matter about the consequences and the lives he destroys in j is path.
Emily helps her friend out by going on a blind date. This blind date is about to change her life. She will discover who she can and can’t trust.
This is the first book I have read by Charlotte Hart but I have read all of Rachel De Lune’s. They have worked so well together to bring us an amazing Dark Read book.
I am looking forward to hopefully having more books in the series. .
Innocent Eyes by Charlotte E Hart and Rachel De Lune is the story of Quinn Cane and Emily Brooks.
Quinn is a hard man who by the roll of a dice decides what he gonna do with a person. Quinn feels nothing towards anyone really…other than a soft spot for his mother. Emily is a caring person who is mainly working at her Photography business. When her best friends starts acting funny and needing money Emily still tries to help her…even go on a date that Jenny was suppose to go on. But not to long after going to said date Emily finds out that it wasn’t a date and Jenny owes Quinn money. Quinn takes Emily even though he knows she didn’t know what was going on and Jenny set her up. There is something about Emily that Quinn can’t yet walk away from.
This is a dark romance with things that might be a trigger for some…so beware.
This book came recommended to me and I can understand why so many said to read it. I absolutely love mafia books so this ticked that box straight off. I also love darker reads (which I know do fit in with the mafia theme) so yes, another tick. I went in not having read any blurbs or reviews and I am glad that I did this. It was a fantastic read. A real page turner that had me wanting to know what was going to happen next. This book mainly focuses on the characters Emily and Quinn and I loved them both. It was wonderful to witness changes in both characters and I really hope that this isn’t the last we see of them. Other characters in the books were as equally intriguing and fitted well in the story and I once again hope that the authors will write more about these characters too. I would recommend this book to others without a second thought.
A dark romance. It’s a very fast paced read I managed to read it in one sitting. The book is told in duo point of view by Quinn and Emily. It really helped the storyline being duo point of view because we got to see both sides of these characters.
I really loved the plot it kept me hooked and intrigued all the way through, I didn’t really guess where the story was going and I did not know if they’d end up together or not. Or whether he’d have any redemption at the end of the novel. Or if it would change her. I loved the mafia aspect of the novel and that we did see both of these characters getting their hands dirty.
I really liked Quinn’s character he didn’t blame his parents for his shit behaviour he did blame them for the fact he had to run the business for his family, mainly because if it wasn’t him it would have to have been one of his younger brothers and he didn’t want that for his little brother. He was a dick, his behaviour although at times he could be nice to Emily he could be a complete dickhead to her. Some of the situations he put her in like with the Russians I believe it was and she nearly got raped because of him of course he saved her in the last moment but if it wasn’t for him she wouldn’t be in that situation. That being said, I liked him although he was a dickhead.
Emily, see I liked her but I thought she was very very stupid. She got herself into some of the stupidest situations that could have been avoided. Although she got the strength when she needed it otherwise she was very submissive and at times weak. She was very trust worthy and it was also misplaced throughout the whole novel.
I had a few issues with this novel, obviously it was dark romance so I knew it was going to be shitty behavior to some extent. My problem was is that is all it was we didn’t see much outside the love life between him and her. We knew of Jenny who is a complete and utter twat who betrays Emily, and we know she has a photography business but other than that we don’t really know much. We don’t see Emily really interacting with other people in her life and there’s not really any positive friendships shown either which is sad. Other than that I really enjoyed reading this novel.

Up All Night w/ Books
I am a newbie reader when it comes to Charlotte E. Hart and Rachel De Lune but I must say I was blown away by Innocent Eyes. It kept me captivated from the start and had me questioning everything at every turn.
Quinn is a ruthless mobster. A gangster as Emily would say. When Quinn meets Emily, he is expecting to meet Jenny, the woman who has racked up a hundred grand in gambling debt. Emily being the awesome friend she is, lets Jenny talk her into taking her place for this meeting. Emily has no idea what she’s getting into by helping her friend nor does Quinn when he meets Emily.
I was literally on the edge of my seat while reading, Innocent Eyes. Quinn is such a hot head that his mood changes from one moment to the next and you never know what he is going to do. When it comes to Emily, he has he reasons for “making” her work off the debt her friend made. Emily makes him a different person and for Quinn that is hard for him to deal with. Their chemistry though is off the charts! The sex is hot for sure.
If you love page turners then Innocent Eyes is for you. There are some triggers and if you cannot handle it, do not read it. It is very explicit in areas so be warned.
This was a really good book! It was dark, it had dubious consent and kidnapping, there was violence and criminal behavior… all the ingredients needed for a page turning, can’t put it down, novel!
I have to say, there were a few times where I REALLY disliked Quinn, and could not understand how in the world Em found herself attracted to him. I found some of his behavior especially appalling, knowing what his mother went thru, I couldn’t understand how he could even consider doing the same thing to another woman. But other times his dark, sexy nature won me over too.
All in all, I found it really hard to put down, and can’t wait to read the next one!
This book had me gripped from the first page, on the edge of my seat with my heart literally in my mouth!!
Emily innocently goes on a ‘date’ to help a friend out and gets more than she bargained for as she is hurled head first into the dark world of Quinn Cane.
Sweet baby Jesus, this man! He had me questioning every single thing but I could not put this book down! When’s the next one coming out?!!! Bravo!!
Oh my goodness what a story!
From page one I was sucked into Quinn and Emily’s world and their stunning story. Each page turn was a delight and I was eager to see where the authors were going to take them and I wasn’t disappointed.
I know from reading previous works by Charlotte just how fabulous she is at writing dark characters but I hadn’t read much from Rachel so I wasn’t sure what to expect from this collaboration, what I got was a stunning blend of dark and light that honestly left me breathless.
I have a habit of struggling to connect with female character when the male lead is so strong but Emily was perfect. The way she grew throughout the story was fabulous, her strengths and weaknesses came across as real and I couldn’t help but fall in love with her.
And then there’s Quinn… he is an arse on occasion but it’s understandable or at least it was to me and to watch such an alpha male grow because of his woman yet at the same time not particularly change character was refreshing and wonderful.
There was genuinely not one moment that I didn’t enjoy. The side characters were well thought out, the story development was sublime and I honestly can not wait and what’s more hope for more collaborations from these two superb authors!
Oh, my goodness not sure where to start with this fantastic piece of fiction.
There is just so much I want to say here and trying to get it all out in a cohesive manner, well oh boy here we go taking a deep breath.
So first I should say I am a massive fan of Charlotte Hart’s work and cannot say enough good things about her dark dominant scribblings, they always hit that sweet spot with me and even when she takes me to places I’m not sure I want to venture it’s a journey that I can’t help but appreciate with that great big shove outside my comfort zone.
Rachel De Lune I am a newcomer to, but I was super excited to see what the collaboration between these two popular authors would bring to the table.
And hey Ho this trip through Quinn Cane’s kingdom along with the poor innocent Emily was delicious.
It was Blood and Tears, Fire and Thorns but also Rainbows and roses, if that even makes any sense.
I guess what I’m trying to say is Innocent Eyes goes through a whole kaleidoscope of emotions and while this is definitely not a pretty as a picture love story it also kind of is.
What makes this so deep is the true darkness and depravity of Quinn Cane’s decadent nature and how he corrupts his dirty girl Emily.

A merging if you will, each giving the other something they need.
Emily, the corruption Quinn brings to the table to oust the rot from her life, strengthening her natural nature.
While Quinn benefits greatly from Emily’s guiding light, tempering him kind of his conscience.
So, There were times here I absolutely hated Quinn with a passion.
His take what you want selfish attitude basically like a kid with a new toy he wants to break, then put back together, damn the repercussions.
His world, his rules.
In the beginning, Quinn’s actions were truly reprehensible and it was difficult to see how he was going to redeem himself.
I also do understand how he has grown into the individual he has become, doesn’t stop me wanting to brain him know.
Emily herself, she was stronger than she thought, I loved her naive optimism for life.

You couldn’t help but like the girl.

I would never have guessed this was a collaboration.
So A really big shiny endorsement here from my camp.
Cannot recommend this enough.
Give it a go, you won’t be able to put it down.
So glad to have received an ARC of “Innocent Eyes” from the Author’s of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
The blurb of this one drew me in and had me counting the hours until I could wrap myself around the promising sensual words of Rachel De Lune and the darker thoughts of Charlotte Hart. This author pairing was brilliant and brought out the true essence of each character. Each author stayed true to their past and wrote a beautiful story together. I’m sure they each took away something different from this experience, but I can only hope that they loved it enough to do it again. I want to see more from the world of Quinn Cane and Emily Brooks.
Quinn is so dark and depraved, but right from his first meeting with Emily, something started to eat away at him, made him question his life and his methods, gave us hope that he could become worthy of the sweet and innocent Emily. It was a long road and he probably didn’t deserve any of Emily’s love after all the hell he put her through, but Emily could also see the man inside of Quinn. The one that was clawing its way out, trying to better itself, be better than his father.
Through no fault of her own, except perhaps her naiveté and dreams of romance, Emily Brooks finds herself locked away in an unknown place for unknown reasons. Her perfect date filled with perfect sex has gone very awry and has left her head spinning with questions. Quinn had stolen her heart on that date, had shown her a side of him that she soon came to find out was not a side he showed anyone.
Innocent Eyes was a very dark one, but it was filled with the promise of something better. I loved Quinn and felt hope for him. He had a hard, outer crust but he had his reasons. He showed himself to be a protective, loving and loyal man, one who was worthy of being loved but was it too late for him and Emily. Had he pulled that final straw on Emily, the straw that broke everything and took away her innocent eyes? Could he possibly earn her forgiveness after destroying her life and pushing her away? Would he have to do the unthinkable and learn to survive in a world without her love?
I highly recommend this book. It has moments of darkness, but the light outweighs the dark. Quinn has met the perfect match in Emily and watching him soften, watching their journey to each other, watching everything they endure was its own kind of fairy tale in the making.
This was a gritty book from the first page. Quinn settles his debts with dice and Emily is just trying to live her life. Due to gambling debts and terrible friends they get thrown together in a unlikely romance.
From the first page you know this book is not going to be hearts and flowers. Instead you get dirty, scandalous, even illegal yet it all comes together to make a good read.
When Emily agrees to go on a blind date as a favour to her friend little does she know what she’s getting into. Quinn Cane’s not a man to be messed with she when a beautiful woman turns up to meet him he know she’s not the one that owes him money but will he use it to his advantage of course he. Kidnapped and locked away to pay the debt can she escape him and his family. This book had me hooked a twisted, sexual, deviant story of twists turns of emotions and ruthfulness, Mafiias and people you’d rather not know I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to read more from this series. A fantastic must read.
Roll the dice … if you’re going to try, go all the way otherwise, don’t even start !
A rule that is reminiscent of lead character Quinn Cane. Mr Cane will roll the dice, your future captivated in his grasp. The same grasp that took sweet Emily, gave her a night of her desires and a thirst to seek more.
A business woman, eager to help a friend. Emily lives a simple life until she meets Quinn Cane – helping a friend puts her in grave danger and paying a debt she just can’t settle. Emily owes and owes big time, here comes Quinn he thinks it’s pay day
The lines of lust and love are undefined, putting 2 characters on a path that’ll fuse them together. Everything changes by the roll of the dice
I loved this story, so engaging, I couldn’t put it down, addicted to Quinn Cane. Another amazing book by two amazing authors.
I have read a few of Charlotte’s books before and loved them, but this is my first experience with Rachel. This book did not disappoint. Dark and twisted, love can come from anywhere and Quinn and Emily prove that. Their meet cute isn’t exactly what either expect and not entirely cute either, but their chemistry together is undeniable. I am a lover of dark reads and Charlotte and Rachel fed my addiction, I can’t wait to read more from both of these lovely authors.
Innocent Eyes by Charlotte Hart and Rachel De Lune, was a
was a gritty, devilishly dark book that I absolutely DEVOURED!! I’m already a huge fan of Charlotte Hart’s but Innocent eyes was my first experience with Rachel De Lune. I must say this duo gave us quiet the intense, gritty, dark romance that I LOVE!!!
Quinn and Emily are just, WOW… They had the perfect chemistry. They are sexy, dark, intense, and deliciously decadent. I couldn’t get enough of them. Quinn in the beginning was quite the @$$, however his love for Emily changed him and it was beautiful to watch. Emily was just absolutely PERFECT I adored her character. Even with everything happening she keeps her wits about her. She’s strong, and resilient.
Innocent Eyes is a rollercoaster for sure. So many twists and turns, with some interesting surprises to boot. It was a truly fantastic read, and I can’t wait to see what they come up with in the future!!!
To say this book wow’d me would be an understatement. I loved everything about it! The dark, the innocence, the carnal and erotic bent of this book, all of it just slayed me. Quinn and Emily have a unique connection, a hate-and-love tug of war going on. It’s forbidding yet sexually gratifying. Quinn is determined to collect on his debt with every pound of flesh he demands from Emily. I cringed, I white-knuckled my kindle, and in the end I took a long breath even as I read the very last words. What a power-packing punch this author duo wrote!
I went to bed last night to read a few chapters and ended up staying up way past my bedtime to read it all. Quinn Cane wouldn’t let me go. He sucked me right in.
When Emily goes on a blind date as a favour for her friend she doesn’t realise how much her life is going to change. Although she’s an innocent, loyal friend it’s fortunate that she’s a strong character as she’s gonna need it.
Quinn is the head of his Cane family. He’s ruthless and heartless. He doesn’t care for many people. When he meets Quinn under some different kinda circumstances he realises he wants her. As Quinn doesn’t do normal he takes rather than woes her. I absolutely loved these two together. They fight hard but can Emily find the true Quinn under all the walls he’s built.
These two authors wrote a well written gripping read. I found myself totally gripped in this story.
Be warned this story veers on the dark side:) I’m really looking forward to reading more from these authors as I loved this story.

Wow! What a wonderful pairing of authors. Their writing styles mesh together and the result is Innocent Eyes. This is a dark love story between Quinn and Emily. Quinn is a dark, twisted man who gets what he wants no matter what it takes. Emily is sweet, caring soul filled with a light that shines in the dark and strong of heart, mind and body. There is intrigue, bloodshed, betrayal that keeps you turning the pages, I read this in one day. The sex scenes are HAWT, one handed reading, panty melting hawt. This story builds layer after layer all the way to the climatic end. Proves once again that dark twisted souls can see the light of love and embrace it.
