Beryl Meyer is a bum magnet. Her latest bum boyfriend was responsible for sending Beryl to prison for a crime she didn’t commit. Tired of bad relationships and sworn off men, Beryl learns that she’s inherited an old inn on Summer Island. She plans on selling the rundown house, in order to start a new life, but when she arrives on the island, she discovers that she’s only inherited half of the inn, and the other half now belongs to an ornery and hot ex-navy SEAL. Thor Stockman wants to run the inn, throwing a wrench into Beryl’s plans. Now she’s stuck in the inn, even though she wants out, and her vow to keep away from men is being tested by the hot hunk in the next room.

Inn & Out is the hot and hilarious second novella in the Three More Wishes series. Each novella is roughly 100 pages with NO cliffhanger.

Oh my gosh, these novellas are like crack! They are highly addictive and when you realize there’s no more you simply ride the high for as long as you can before you come crashing down, anxious for you next hit of hilarity from this author. While this one was a bit lower on the drama it was so high on the fun factor that I didn’t miss it. I loved watching Beryl finagle a way to earn the money that would get her on with her life as well as Thor’s reaction to it. The secondary characters added so much additional humor that my cheeks hurt from smiling and anyone in the vicinity while I was reading/listening had to think I was crazy as I laughed out loud to the crazy antics of these characters.
Whenever I read an Elise Sax romance I know I’m in for a good time. Her writing is crisp and her characters relatable.
Beryl has the worst luck. Especially when it comes to men so she has sworn off them. Just after getting out of prison she learns she has inherited an inn. She thought her luck had changed. Her plan was to sell the inn and live off the proceeds. But life had other plans. She inherited the inn with a man she didn’t know. And he wanted to keep it. So much for Beryl’s idea to sell. Besides, it needed extensive work before that could happen.
As Thor and Beryl worked together on restoring the inn, their attraction grew. They tried to fight it but didn’t have much luck.
This book had me laughing out loud while hoping for the best for this pair.
Seriously, this was a great book that I enjoyed reading. It was a quick read that can be read as a standalone or as part of the Five More Wishes series.
Inn & Out was another great read by Elise Sax. Beryl was just let out of prison for a crime she didn’t commit. Her boyfriend let her take the fall for his crimes and she realizes that she is a bum magnet. She finds out that she has inherited a rundown inn on Summer Island. When she gets there she finds out that she has only inherited half of the inn and the other half belongs to a man named Thor. I really enjoyed reading Beryl and Thor’s story and can’t wait to read more by the author.
Book 2 starts off where book 1 stopped. Wow! Thor comes across as super yummy. Beryl is quirky, with bad taste in men. The story is witty and well written.
It strikes me that there doesn’t seem to be a explanation for the stars that are given. So I thought I’d start giving my take on it.
1 horrible no redeeming qualities. So far I’ve never given a 1.
2 blah but there are redeeming qualities.
3 ok worth reading.
4 great but there’s something off.
5 loved it.
So now about this story. I can’t wait for more of this series, I want to say more about this story but I absolutely hate spoilers, so I won’t do it to you by going into details.
The narrator brings the story to life.
