Oh wow. This Fort Collins series is going to be a tissue needing series. From book one I needed them. Then reading the sneak peek into Broken. I know I will be crying a lot. This book was so good. I loved how sweet and strong Annabelle was. She held her own and stood up for what she knew was right. Jordan was so full of hurt with everything he had been through. This book has just enough suspense and so much heat. I loved everything about it!
From the moment I picked up Inked Persuasion I couldn’t put it down. The journey that Jacob and Annabelle go through reliving their pasts, the emotions brought to the surface and the pain they work through brought me to tears. I fell in love with Annabelle and Jacob, along with their families as they discovered how they truly felt for each other and I wanted more. I can’t wait for the next book!

But Jacob needs to forgive the past in order to find a future. Will it be to late to show Annabelle that they are meant to be together? You need to one click to find out what happens in this new release that didn’t disappoint. I can’t wait for more of this series that is already addicting.
Carrie Ann Ryan takes us on a journey with this story. The story will have you hooked from the beginning to the end. Nice start to the Fort Collins Montgomery’s we are in in for some fun with them.
This is a crazy good book filled with emotion and I loved it. Life throws a major curveball at Annabelle. She picks herself up and rebuilds herself. I enjoyed this story immensely but the ending left me in tears. With goosebumps. I received an advanced copy of this book and freely leave this honest review.
What a story!! Two broken souls that are completely misunderstood, yet are drawn to each other. When they decide to keep things light and just have a physical relationship since the chemistry is off the charts emotions get in the way. This book is full of laughter and tears. You want them to be together so bad you can’t help but cheer for them. Loved it!!!
I really liked the enemies to lovers spin in this book. I really liked the two main characters and their story. It was a good book.
4.5 Stars
So many emotions in this book! Everyone finds their way through grief differently and Jacob and Annabelle most certainly coped in very different ways. Fate has brought them back together after years apart. Their chemistry is definitely there but can they work through everything else between them.
What happens when you discover your new next door neighbor is the one person who seems to hate you more than anyone?? Jacob has never forgiven Annabelle for lost time with his brother, and her appearing to love the media attention when his brother was dying. Jacob couldn’t be more wrong about Annabelle, and he’s about to find that out!
I really love the Montgomery’s, so I am always happy to have a new book, and in this case a new series. Initially I didn’t care much for either Annabelle or Jacob, they both had personality traits that made me cringe. BUT… in her usual fashion, Carrie Ann Ryan managed to make me love both of these characters by the end of the book and I was happy to see them get their HEA.
Received and advance copy from the author.
Annabelle and Jacob took my heart and now I feel whole. This story is not easy because I felt for the time lost for them. It’s gripping and took grabbed me from the very first page. I couldn’t put this down.
Inked Persuasion is an amazing start to a new series and a whole new bunch of Montgomery’s to fall in love with. Jacob and Annabelle’s story is passionate, heart wrenching and highly emotional. Two people connected in a way that hurts so much that at times uncaring words will be said. As pain, fate and healing all play a part, your heart and emotions will be taken on a roller coaster ride. Their story is witty, flirty, captivating and heartfelt. The ending will have your heart in your throat and anxiously awaiting the next book in this series.
No one knows what anyone else is going through so don’t judge. This is basically the lesson Jacob needed to learn.
And Annabelle has her reasons for doing what she did all those years ago.
Now if Jacob could only think for a moment instead of hiding what he’s feeling.
I absolutely adored this story, from start to finish I was ensnared and absolutely engrossed in their lives.
The emotional feelings and the sexual tension was sky high and I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens.
A beautiful story about two beautiful souls who hurt so much.
Once again never judge because you do not know what others are thinking and feeling.
‘Inked Persuasion’ is book one in Carrie Ann Ryan’s latest Montgomery Ink addition “Montgomery Ink: Fort Collins”.
Annabelle Montgomery married her best friend not for love in a romantic way, but as a best friend helping fulfil a dying wish. When Annabelle looses him a few weeks later she is forced into the media spotlight as the grieving widow. So she decides to throws herself into her family business as the architect to make sure she never goes through that same pain and hurt again.
Jacob Queen was determined to never see Annabelle again after the way she acted after loosing his brother. He was disgusted and angry with her. Now he is back in Fort Collins to help his parents. But avoiding Annabelle is going to be hard consider she is his next door to neighbour.
Once again Carrie Ann Ryan gives us an emotional roller coaster that is going to rip your heart out, stomp on it, break it and then slowly put it all back together. The amount of baggage and history that these two have to deal with isn’t going to be easy to get past especially when outside influences are determined to keep them apart.
Be prepared to be swooned, shed some tears, laugh, yell and scream as this book will have you on the edge of your seat biting your nails with anticipation to what is going to happen. The chemistry is off the charts between these two and I loved each and every word from the beginning to the very end.
Ms Ryan has done a fabulous job with giving us this beautiful story between friends to enemies, enemies to friends, friends with benefits to more, so much more.
I really liked both Jacob and Annabelle but I gotta say I didn’t see them working lol. Now don’t get me wrong I really thought he was a jerk but when truths started coming out it all made sense. These two definitely had some bumps along the way and they both lived in denial for a minute. At the end of the they really just work.
Annabelle is a Montgomery from both parents. Her Mom’s brother is Harry. She has a twin brother, a set of twin brothers and a sister. Jacob Queen knew Annabelle when they were younger. She was best friends with his brother Jonah. Jonah was sick, and he and Annabelle married before he died, when they were barely legal. Jacob moves next door to Annabelle, tells her he hates her, and does his best to stay away from her. They see each other at his parents house for Sunday dinner. They didn’t know the other would be there. They talk, they have sex, they decide to do a friends with benefits thing. He tells his parents they are seeing each other. His Mom is excited, his dad apprehensive.
Annabelle works at Montgomery Builders, completely different from Inc. Her Dad doesn’t get along with his family. Nor does he get along with his in laws. She works there with her 3 brothers, sister, Dad and Mom. They want to take Builders into eco-friendly, green, sustainable territory. Their Dad wants them to keep doing it like he always did. They date, they spend time together. Jacob has an ex wife who is always around, even though Jacob tells her to go away. They have a weird neighbor that is always taking Annabelle desert. That neighbor is obsessed with her and kidnaps her. Jacob saves her and is hurt. They talk to each other, say some words, answer some questions, have a party.
Up next is her brother Beckett and her best friend Eliza.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Love the Fort Collins Montgomery’s! Annabelle loves working with her family, even when they can’t seem to stay out of her personal life. She knows they are very protective of her, especially after her first marriage. She has gotten past that, or so she thought, until she met her hot new neighbor. Jacob Queen has moved back home to help his family, what is left of it. He has never gotten over the loss of his brother and is still bitter about his divorce. He thinks this move will be a chance to move on, until he spies Annabelle. They have a complicated past full of misunderstandings, pain and guilt. There is definitely chemistry there, but can they move beyond their past and their family’s “help”? I love the tension, the angst, the passion…I can’t wait for the rest of this set of Montgomery’s!
Annabelle has a heart of gold. She will do anything for her best friend, Jonah, and she did. I loved her story and the close relationship she has kept with her in-laws. Now that her mother-in-law is sick, it is time for their other son, Jacob to come home. It is sad to see how he blames and hates her for what has happened to his family. They will have to decide if forgiveness is an option and try to tolerate each other. This couple will find their way to become friends, but it is so much fun to watch them find love. Beautifully written. Inked Persuasion brings a whole new Montgomery Family to life and what is a Carrie Ann Ryan story without a little suspense and a turn you do not see coming. I cannot wait to find out more about this family.
This is the first book in Carrie Ann’s Montgomery Ink: Fort Collins series and boy does it have all the feels. I love the Montgomery family and loved getting to meet more of the family. This story will pull you in and doesn’t let go until the last word. Annabelle and Jacob’s journey was a rough one. What a roller coaster ride of emotions. I absolutely loved this book. It’s a must read.
This is the 1st part of another series which is Jacob and Annabella’s story. When Annabelle finds herself with a new neighbour, she is shocked to find out that it is her ex-brother-in-law Jacob. Jacob did not want to have anything to do with Annabelle but as he discovers the truth about her marriage to his brother, he realizes he may have been a tad hasty in his judgement. The chemistry between these two is sizzling, but they have challenges to overcome as outside influences are at work to keep them apart, as their relationship grows closer. This is a beautifully written tale which is emotionally charged, and has danger, drama, and love, which all leads to a steamy and all-consuming story. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend for all.
