INK is a full-length, standalone eight book in a steamy and suspenseful MC Romance series – Devil’s Nightmare MC – by Lena Bourne. No Cliffhanger, HEA Guaranteed!InkI got stabbed, joined an MC far from home, and nearly got shot to death protecting another man’s woman. All to get as far away from Julie, the woman I will always love, as I could to try and forget her. The choice they gave me was … her. The choice they gave me was leave, or watch her get hurt. It was a simple choice, but far from an easy one. I can’t forget her, and I can’t live without her. The year since I last saw her has taught me that. Convincing her to take me back might not be easy, but if she gives me a second chance, I’ll never leave her again, no matter what.
We’ve been a couple of star-crossed lovers from the start, and the things keeping us apart have only gotten more dangerous and deadly, since I made the mistake of leaving her the first time. What do I do now? Do I leave everything behind to keep on running with Julie at my back, and nothing but the open road before us? That’s always been our biggest dream, but to make it come true, I’d have to leave Devil’s Nightmare MC.
I might not survive leaving the Devils. But I know I won’t survive without Julie.
So, I know my choice. When all is said and done, it‘s an easy one.

Ink was the eighth book in the Devil’s Nightmare MC series by Lena Bourne.
Ink was a fairly new patched in member of the MC but was vital in his loyalty for helping to save MC brothers and their old ladies. He was also the poet of the group. After his last brush with near death he decided it was time to go back to his home town and claim the girl he left behind.
Julie was Ink’s girl that he left behind. She was stuck in her small hometown and decided a year was long enough to wait for Ink and now she was moving on.
Bourne took us through Ink and Julie’s past and quickly revealed the backstory. While it was unraveling, she then meshed their story into the carryover MC plot that had been building from the last books. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot as well as the twists that were revealed throughout. It wasn’t predictable and what I was expecting. It was action packed, suspenseful and enjoyable. With that said, it was also hard to follow at times – primarily with the multiple MC’s from Ink’s hometown. It also left some pretty big holes – again related to Ink’s hometown MC’s. But even so, I enjoyed it and couldn’t put it down.
Lastly, Ink’s story was a bridge to Ace’s story, which is next. The MC conflict that was front and center was not even close to concluding and will be a carryover into Ace. It has promise and hopefully we’ll get more clarity on some of the holes from Ink’s story as well.
It’s been so long since I’ve read a book from this lady that I was anxious and nervous… Anxious because she had written one of my favorite series and nervous because I had an idea of what was about to come.
Lena Bourne knows what she’s doing. She writes MC like no-one and will hook you up in a sec. You’ll see.
Ink is her latest release and it’s the eight-book from the Devil’s Nightmare MC series.
This new book explores the lives of Ink and Julie.
Ink is one of the brothers. He lives for them and would die for them too. A year ago he saw the love of his life slip away from him but it was something that he needed to do. To save her he needed to leave her behind. Now, one year later…
Julie saw her heartbroken a year ago by the one that promised her a forever love. She put her life on hold waiting for him to come back but he didn’t. Now, 1 year later she decided to follow her dreams…
Dayum… Just Dayum… It was perfect.
Sublime plot, very well written, super engaging, intense and surrounded by a cloud of darkness… It was perfect.
I’ve been following this series for a while now and it was amazing to have news from the other characters.
This book presented us with love, loyalty, desire, friendship, true love as well as greed, betrayal, crime, madness, and punishment.
One minute I was thinking that everything was a bed of roses and the next I was hit with the thorns… Jesus…
And just like this author and done previously… She gave us hints of who was the next character she would write about next.
Now I’m even more anxious… I need it…please Lena… I want more. When a woman…I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
It was so good to revisit the Devil’s Nightmare MC world with Ink. These guys are all tough as nails, not exactly what you would call model citizens but you cannot help but fall in love with them especially when you see how easy it is for the right woman to bring these Alpha men to their knees.
Ink fell in love with the wrong girl and it brings a whole heap of trouble. He knows that in order to protect the rest of his family and her he has to leave. A year later he decides enough time has passed and disobeying a direct order from the president of his MC he sets off to win Julie back but going against the orders of Cross isn’t the wisest choice on his part and it definitely won’t even be worth the trouble if he cannot convince Julie of why he left in the first place. These two do not have an easy time of things, Julie is stuck in a family that doesn’t give her any freedom and Ink has obligations to his MC. Can they be together or with the forces pulling them apart prove to be too strong?

I couldn’t quite get into Ink’s story.
I don’t really know the reason why. The writing was of the usual good quality but the story itself fell flat this time. It felt like nothing of significance had really happened.
There was this tension like something big and bad could happen any time but somehow it never did.
It seems like this story just wasn’t for me.
Deception. corruption. and betrayals from the get go. Ink was a scapegoat and sacrificial lamb for his family. I wanted to kick Juliette in the teeth! She knew and had proof of why he had to leave and she still questions his loyalties and love? Smh to a concussion! Why Juliette? Is Juliette as blind or stupid as she’s acting? I’m at my whits end with her. This was the most we’ve seen if Cross since the beginning, and it was nice to see the boss back in the saddle again. I’ve missed his presence. I liked the improved communication between Juliette and Ink at the end. It helped me dislike Juliette less. Floved Ink at the end. He remained me if a little boy. Sweet.
I was so hooked with this story from the very beginning! The storyline was well written, the plot flowed smoothly from page to page and the characters were written with such great detail and depth that as I turned each and every page Ink and Julie jumped from the pages and pulled me right into their story as it flawlessly unfolded!
This is a well written MC romance with strong , well developed characters and an intriguing story line. The author does a fantastic job developing the story and brings it to life with her descriptive writing and detailed scenes. She brings twists, turns, suspense and tons of action and fills it with so much emotion you can feel it coming through the pages. I was captured and held from start to finish reading Ink and Julie’s story and would highly recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Ryan and Julie’s relationship was broken up because of greed. When Ryan comes back to town to get Julie in hopes that she would forgive him, his first thoughts were revenge but would it do any good if he lose Julie? They were star crossed lovers who found their way back together but will their journey to happily ever after be cut short by Ryan’s MC and his commitment to them not to mention there is a snitch who is causing all kinds of problems? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Regret, determination and redemption are all Ink can think of since leaving Julie behind a year ago. This is a thrilling quest of one man fighting to right his wrongs. I love the devotion that Ink exhibits as he struggles uphill to get his second chance with Julie. The odds are not necessarily in his favor but Ink does not give up even when Julie thinks that he does. Her family is against him and the Devil’s Nightmare MC is looking for answers they think Ink has and that’s not a good thing either.
I really like these characters but, I’m little disappointed with Julie. She says that Ink is her true love but she doesn’t give him the benefit of the doubt when it’s important before finding out the facts – facts that Julie doesn’t realize how much they have impacted her life as well as Ink’s. However, their connection and chemistry is through the roof and that makes it imperative for them to get their happy ending.
The Devils are back and this is Ink’s story, I must admit Lena had me worried a little bit over Ink, I’m not saying why, I’ll let you figure that one out for yourself.
Here’s the gist of it, after being shot and is healing, he thinks back to his life before the Devil’s and the girl he had to leave behind a year ago,and thinks it’s time to go back and get the girl, if she’ll have him, he hurt her badly for leaving thing is Crow has just given the order that no one is to leave Sanctuary, but he decides to go with his feelings and against Crow’s orders, though the ramifications of his decision could prove fatal.
There is a bit of back story as to why he left Julie, but that would be giving away too much that I’m sure you will want to find out for yourself, as for Julie, I felt like telling her to get a grip and I’m sure you know that Crow doesn’t let Ink off that easy for going against his express orders, again, grab a copy, this is a fast paced, action packed, thrilling read, that will keep you on the edge of your seat, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion
