Things aren’t looking great for Cass Clereaux. For one, her greatest fear has come true. She’s stuck in the Prison for Magical Miscreants while her nemesis, Victor Orriodor, is out in the world, putting the last pieces of his plan into place. He’s wreaking havoc, all while she’s stuck in a stone box, awaiting likely execution. Fortunately, Cass has just discovered that she’s the most powerful … Magica in the world. She may have no control over her massive new power, but that won’t stop her from using it to break out of the world’s strongest supernatural prison. As for how she’s going to stop Victor when she gets out? She has no idea. To have any hope at success, Cass will have to learn to control her magic and figure out exactly what he’s trying to accomplish. She’s going to need all the help she can get if she wants to survive, much less save the world. Luckily for her, she’s got Aidan Merrick and her sisters at her back, along with her allies in the League of FireSouls.

Infinite Magic is the fifth and final book in Linsey Hall’s Dragon’s Gift: The Huntress series. This continues on were Eternal Magic ends with Cass being locked up in the Order of Magica’s prison.
The finale we have all be waiting for between Cass, her deirfiúr, Aidan, Claire and Conner and the Monster/Victor is finally here. We have been building up to this battle for several books and it’s finale here.
This is conclusion has been highly anticipated and I feel like I was a little disappointed. We have gone through so much over the last 4.5 books with the girls and Aidan and it seemed as the ending was rushed. I still did enjoy the book and the conclusion but the finale battle just didn’t excite me as much as I had expected it to. Plus the loss didn’t seem to make as much as a dent as would have been expected, I know it was prophesied to not be the end and we know it’s not the end as the next series proves this, but I would have expected more distress and grievance. (Sorry very cryptic, don’t want to give anything away, but once you’ve read you’ll understand)
The characters were still fantastic as well as the few new people to join the team plus the extra beasts/monsters that made an appearance were wonderful to meet. I look forward to reading the other characters and their stories that follow in the next lot of series and hopefully we still get appearances from Cass and Aidan.
I thought the final battle in the book was anticlimactic. I felt that the ending was just where the author got to and basically said that’s all folks. This really bummed me out as this was not the norm for this author. I just felt a great let down. I am currently reading another book by this author which is the first book in a new series but actually does continue the story from this book in a fashion.
Wow what an amazing series this has been getting to know the sisters, especially Cass and of course Aiden, Connor and Claire. Cass is in a pickle when we catch up too her again, as usual and the action is bumping off the page. They figure out Victor’s master plan but of course that is crazy too and their first thoughts are messed up. Well hells bells with the Cass you know it will be non stop action. You will definitely wont be disappointed in the ending and man oh man what an ending. Of course it isn’t all peaches and roses and their are a few things healers and powers can’t do.
As usual a well written story that keeps you invested from the first page to the last. I love these characters and how they all fit together so well.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
Infinite Magic by Linsey Hall is Book 5 of the Dragon’s Gift: The Huntress Series. This is an urban fantasy that is geared towards young adult readers incorporating aspects of the paranormal, action and a nice little dash of romance. Although this was written more for the young adult readers don’t let that stop you from reading it…this series is amazing and appeals to all ages alike. Ms. Hall’s books are so beautifully written with engaging characters, well-developed world, a plot that is gripping and flows so splendidly that you become immersed in the storyline right from the very first page. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next!
