Sasha…is a little more complex. A great start to what seems to be a promising series. I like the different take on the kind of supernaturals and really like the characters so far. Cannot wait to find out what will happen next!
Loved, loved, loved this! Sasha was a great protagonist I just couldn’t get enough of–a fantastic mix of sassy, kickass, and vulnerable. I really enjoyed the worldbuilding with its elemental shifters, and, of course, the why choose romance with swoon–worthy guys. I picked up the second book in a flash and am eagerly awaiting the third!
Oh my gosh! If I could be a shifter I want to be a spirit shifter! I really enjoyed this book. It was a great story with a Sister and brother going to a shifter school..the older sister is a forbidden spirit shifter, who was supposed to be killed soon after birth. The book mainly focuses on the sister and how she tries to deal with her nature and protect her younger brother., and fit in with people who hate her for being born…it was really good! Well written and entertaining!! I loved it.
The author did an amazing job writing this story. From the beginning i really enjoyed these characters and just felt connected to them completely. Can not wait for the next book at all.
Okay, I liked the Thronbriar series and this one is off to a great start! I like how bold Sasha is and she needs four mates to balance her, they have to be strong to handle her. She’s found two, I am excited to find out who the other two are. I really want Charles to be handled by her men, but I can’t quite figure out his end game. Anyway, good, quick read!
I really enjoyed reading this book! I like the storyline as well as the characters. I am excited to see what happens next!
Infiltrate is Book 1 in the Misfit Of Thronbriar Academy series by Cali Mann. A superb book that is well written and has great character development. Love Sasha, MFC, as she is a tough, smart, snarky, caring and ‘Takes No Prisoner’ type especially concerning her brother. This has an intriguing storyline and I’m looking forward to the next book to see where Cali is taking Sasha and the other character. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and know you will to. Received an ARC from the author and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Great start to the series!!! I was super excited to dive back into the world of Thornbriar academy and needless to say it didn’t fall short!!! I loved this book and can’t wait to see where the life of my new favorite spirit shifter will lead!!! P.S the steam between her and the boys!!! Whew this is a must read!!!!
I’m so glad for more Thornbriar Academy books! I loved the first series, and I’m happy to see more stories branching out from that. For this book it is nice to see that although spirit shifters aren’t necessarily adored by any means that there are tiny steps being set in the right direction for them to eventually be accepted–or at least not hated as much. As opposed to the first series, Sasha doesn’t have to hide being a spirit shifter, once she enters Thornbriar Academy that is. I’m excited to see her fully blossom in her powers and shifting abilities since she doesn’t have to try and prevent other students from discovering her shifter type. In the first series, we didn’t really get to see as much of a spirit shifter’s capabilities or shifting forms. I have high hopes that we will see a bit more before Sasha’s story ends. What I really loved about this book was the connection between the characters, especially between Sasha and her younger brother. Despite their difficult upbringing, devotion and responsibility were reinforced between the two. It’s amazing to see that kind of relationship between two siblings even though their home life wasn’t ideal. With the main four male characters, the connection is just starting, but I have high hopes. Three out of the four seem to be on the right track. Hopefully Mister Firestarter learns to ignore the words his parents forced into his head about spirit shifters. Looking forward to the next book!

I’m honestly not sure how to feel about this book! It was a relatively quick read that I was able to read it in about 4 hours, but the book was a bit slow to hook me. I didn’t get to the point of not being able to put it down until Sasha and Alex made it to the academy. One of the best thing about this book is Sasha and Alex’s relationship. I haven’t read a book in a while with a sibling relationship so strong all because of their mom’s lack of over all care for them basically making Sasha raise him.
Apparently there’s a series that takes place in this world, but this new series (the one that I’m now reading) is able to be read independently. I enjoyed the book for the most part, but I think it would be beneficial to read the other series so you’d have a better understanding of the magical world. There’s four different type of magic (spirit, earth, water, air, and fire) and depending on the type that you are determines the shifter you are, which I find really cool but don’t have a good understanding of who belongs where.
Sasha is a good main character because she cares so deeply for her brother that’s she’s willing to go with him to the academy for the supernatural to ensure her safety even though she could go crazy soon because she’s a spirit shifter who has uncontrollable magic unless she finds a mate with each of the other elements. The one quality I didn’t like about Sasha is that she used her looks to try to get her way, but that’s partly thanks to her mother who’s always bringing strange men in to buy her stuff.
Then we have the two shifters mentioned in the synopsis. I’m not going to mention names just because it could be slightly spoilery.
Let’s talk about the vampire love interest. At first he sees Sasha as a way to rebel against his father who wants to control every aspect of his life since spirit shifters are looked down on in the community. But he soon realizes what they are. He wants to protect her from damage, but Sasha won’t let him in fear that he could get hurt. Yet, they somehow still spend time together and learn things about the other.
Then, there’s the werewolf shifter, who is every bit of the alpha who doesn’t want to mate with a lesser. Well the human part of him doesn’t while the wolf is all for it. I’ll be honest, he’s a jerk to her each and every time they have some interaction.
Yes, I’m kind of invested in this series because I need to know who the other two mates are (although I have a pretty good idea, but I need to actually see it).
Plus, I’m warning that there’s a MAJOR cliffhanger… so read at you own risk!
This was a great start to the series. This is book 1.
Sasha has no problems standing up for herself or her brother, but she also has a softer side despite her upbringing by a neglectful mother. She was a really easy character to like. I enjoyed getting to know the guys too and I can see loads more coming to light with the wolf pack. It’s not all fated mates followed by flowers and chocolates, there will be some interesting times ahead between Sasha and her mates.
As a spirit shifter she should have been killed at birth but has now been accepted to Thornbriar Academy to see if they can control spirit shifters. She’s reluctant but is then blackmailed to attend because of her brother.
The book is a page turner and I’m looking forward to book 2.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked how Sasha is smart and caring even after everything that life has thrown at her so far. She is strong and looks out for the ones that she loves and I think this makes it even better. I cannot wait for the next book to see what happens.
Sign me up for Thornbriar Academy!!
I can’t believe I’ve already finished this book!!! ….and it ended on a cliffhanger…and I just wish I could read ahead to the next book to see how Sasha was going to get herself out of that tight corner. This story was written well and kept me engaged from start to finish. I know that spirit shifters aren’t perceived that well in their society, but I can’t help but root for Sasha and hope that she gets the chance to kick some butt!
Cali has done it again, with an FMC that is bad***, hot, and not afraid to fight for what she holds dear. The men are hot. The plot is thick. The secrets are in abundance. And when the end came, I was left speechless, staring at the screen, unable to believe I’d have to wait for more. But it’s totally going to be worth the wait!!

Sasha and her brother have a horrible home life, and when the opportunity arises to join Thornbriar Academy, they both decide to go, but for very different reasons.
Sasha will do whatever it takes to keep her brother safe, although her methods aren’t always effective. She is one tough person, and has a confidence I’ll never have!
The story is not over with this book, there’s still plenty more to discover about the people, school and world they live in. This was a great introduction to the series.
Wow! Just wow! If anything just got infiltrated it’s my heart! Cali Mann did it again! Another story of gold! YES YES YES 100% approved, and recommended!
I love this book. Full of twists and turns, it keeps you reading. At first I wasn’t too keen on Sasha, but I quickly warmed up to her. She doesn’t have an easy time of it in either the human world or the shifter one. She has had to be self reliant and tough as nails.
I cannot wait to see more interaction between her and the other students. We don’t know how she is going to mate, f she does and there are so many people it could be. The character of Sasha grows as the book goes on but not by huge leaps. I can’t wait to read the next in the series. Told in multiple POV.
Cali Mann does such a great job of developing characters and I love the MC. She is tough, smart, caring, and snarky. The story is intriguing…cannot wait to see how she is going to be able to work through the issues she is dealing with. I also can’t wait to see the relationship develop with her mates in the next book. Each of the characters are so different and I am so interested to find out how she is able to keep herself and her friends and family safe. I love the first Thornbriar Academy series and this one is definitely shaping up to be just as interesting and entertaining.
Another great series starter! This is so well written and man do I love the characters! Does have mild cliff hanger as this is only book 1! I’m excited to see how our girl handles what comes next!! Fantastic job!
