A man of integrity…with a secret desireMoose Garrett just wants to do the right thing. Fulfill his duty. Honor his parents. Fix his neighbors’ tractors. Ignore the girl he needs to forget.Everyone in Sawyer expects Moose to woo and wed the town beauty queen – not Georgia Rowland. Hell, Moose’s parents have all but signed a marriage contract with the revered patriarch of another wealthy Sawyer … marriage contract with the revered patriarch of another wealthy Sawyer family.
So yeah, it’s true that Georgia’s been tempting him ever since he hit puberty and discovered the allure of the opposite gender, but that doesn’t mean he’s actually going to give into the temptation.
Georgia is strictly off limits.
Totally.
But matters of the heart are about as predictable as a wildfire – a wildfire that comes straight out of nowhere…and changes everything.
A woman who’s all business…with a secret crush
Georgia has spent a lot of years – roughly 26 of them or so – pretending Moose Garrett wasn’t the finest man in Sawyer. She pushes pesky thoughts of him clear out of her mind. She never pays a bit of attention to his powerful build, or how his blue jeans show off his lean and muscular body. And for the record, she barely even notices the way his slow, sultry smile makes her knees wobbly.
Because that hardly ever happens.
As the youngest branch manager of the Goldfork Credit Union, and the first female to hold that position, she’s too busy for any of that nonsense. Besides, everyone knows Moose is bound to marry Sawyer’s reigning beauty. Georgia is sure he’d never give a moment’s notice to…well, to someone like her.
But when Miss No Nonsense sets out on a hike in the foothills of Long Valley and gets trapped amidst the flames of a wildfire, the only man she’s ever wanted swoops in to save her.
So yeah, Moose is the last man she should dream about.
But he’s the one man who will walk through danger and smoke and fire.
Just to find her…
Inferno of Love is the second novel in the Firefighters of Long Valley Romance series, although all books in the Long Valley world can be read as standalones. It has some strong language, and oh my, sexy times. Enjoy!

This was my first read by this author and while I enjoyed the read I had a hard time feeling much of anything for the characters because I didn’t connect with them. Yes you could tell there was something between them but it felt like half the story was missing then again maybe I should have started with the first book of the series. Regardless the writing is good and it’s a clean read which is refreshing. It’s a great read which for Deere/Moose is about growing up and taking control of his life and for Georgia it’s about being heard and seen, respected for who she is. I did enjoy it and will be reading more of the series.
I love Erin Wright’s fire fighters. This is another wonderful romance. I do not think I want to be on a mountain in a fire, !but if I ever am, I hope Moose comes to rescue me!
I’ve read all of the Long Valley books by Erin Wright, and enjoyed them all. This one was a struggle for me. The male character Deere a/k/a Moose was spineless boy not a man. I can sort of understand why he was, but I really didn’t like him. Now the leading lady Georgia … is strong, capable, self sufficient and a very smart lady. I think she needed a stronger man to complement her, nota man who is week. I understand that opposites attract, but still can’t see these two as a couple.
I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I loved Moose and Georgia. There complimented each other in every way.
I loved the growth of Moose in this story. Here is this man, who is a good man, a good son and friend. He is doing everything to make others happy so that he can finally get the job that he has been groomed for his whole life. I loved when he finally stood up to his father.
I really enjoyed reading about Georgia. She was a strong woman who knew who she was. He was loyal and kind to her family and friends even when certain things made her heart hurt.
I can’t wait to read more in this series.
A story of unrequited love and honourable intentions, Inferno of Love is a well written drama set in a small town. Moose and Georgia have been attracted to one another ever since they hit puberty, but were unable to act on it due to the controlling influences of family. In many ways this is a sad book as it brings out the dreadful nature of controlling parents way into adulthood. In fact both Moose and Tennessee have been brainwashed into bowing to family pressure. When circumstances conspire to bring Moose and Georgia together, he finally realises that as hard as he tries to do the right thing for everyone else, that does not mean that the promises made to him will be kept. Moose is a delightful character but is a mix of adult caring, duty and honour, and immature actions borne out of his upbringing. Georgia is a strong and resourceful woman but at times she comes across as being overbearing. One has to see her actions in the light of Moose’s inexperience and to recognise that she in fact has to be his teacher in the way of respectful relationships. I enjoyed this book as it is well written with suspense and drama. It is part of a series and characters from the previous book appear in this one too, but this novel is nevertheless a standalone. I received a copy of this book from Booksprout and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Inferno of Love is a great stand-alone full length novel as well as being part of a series. It is well written and features great characters, both good and bad. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it to all fans of romance, fire fighter, and small town books .. and anyone who just enjoys a good book.

The characters, community, actions and reactions…all of these elements are important in either drawing me into a story or make me feel like a silent observer. Erin Wright once again has drawn me in with the Firefighters of Long Valley series!
In Inferno of Love, we watch as Deere “Moose” Garrett’s planned out life takes some twists and turns, and Georgia Rowland, a hard working, determined banking branch manager (who has to deal with older men who feel a woman shouldn’t be a bank manager…in 2018…but sadly true in some instances) tiptoe around their growing attraction.
In classic Erin Wright style, I was laughing, nodding my head in agreement (especially for Georgia who is a real gem!) and touched (especially for Sparky and Troy) by all of the characters. Her stories draw you into the community she creates and leaves you looking forward to more stories involving the supporting characters! Levi, Tennessee, Troy…many great characters here!

You will fall in love with Moose and Georgia’s story. They have been in love for a long time but none of them know their feelings. And Moose is supposed to marry Tennessee, Georgia’s cousin. And Georgia dated Levi, Moose’s best friend. Can it be more difficult for them to be together? A great love story about friendship, family, responsibility and freedom.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout and I also purchased a copy.
I just love this author and all of her work in the Town of Sawyer!! The characters are just so realistic and lovable. While this book can stand alone, it is great to see prior characters make appearances. I just can’t put down a Ms. Wright novel. I would love to move to Sawyer, ID if I could. The plot flows so smoothly that before you know it, it is over. Moose and Georgia are a wonderful couple. After reading the prior novel, I was so looking forward to Moose’s story. It didn’t disappoint either. Now looking forward to Levi’s. I can’t wait for Troy’s story either!!! Highly recommend!
I love this series! Great characters and entertaining story line.
Boring…
Hot firefighters and strong independent women, what more do you need. Moose and Tennessee have been destined to be together since they were born (at least according to their parents) but neither of them are too keen. Moose finally makes and stand and he and Georgia get their HEA.
Terrible! Couldn’t finish it.
The mind boggles at how controlling some parents can be and the impact that has on adult child decision making
Could not get interested
I couldn’t stop reading this bookI had to finish it before I could sleep
I like to read stories about family dynamics
Just because they shouldn’t be attracted to one another doesn’t mean they are not! The chemistry is amazing and the romance heats up to a 3 alarm fire!
Didn’t finish
Redemption permeated this story. Loved Hamlet.
