Getting a glimpse into the lives of Emma,Jaxson and Chase before Black Light, this was a very entertaining story.
Seeing how both men gave Emma’s view of herself a healthy boost, was heartwarming. (ánd butt warming, lol)
Being a co-ed on a holiday in France without knowing the language was fun,as long as she had her “friend” with her.
But said “friend” was a selfish cow that left her without a second thought.
Maybe that was a lucky thing, because it led to meeting the men that would turn her life around, forever.
Jaxson and Chase were world famous male models, growing tired of the lifestyle.
Finding a girl like Emma was like finding water in the desert.
She was as real as they could hope for,and they hit it off immediately, kink included.
Once they reached Paris, they managed to keep her with them for one more day before she had to return home.
But once parted, they all missed being together, having that magical connection….
Emma never expected to see them again, but was ecstatic when they turned up at her dorm house.
Having taken a month off work, the men do their best to convince her they were meant to be together.
Her objections of not wanting to drop her education are overruled by stating she could continue online.
Meeting her parents, showing them their daughter means the world to them, was the next hurdle they take with flying colors.
Jaxson’s father,now he’s a véry different story…..
Overall,i enjoyed their story.
It was hot,it was sweet,it broke through the barriers of a judgmental society.
(My only problem could be,that not all skinny girls are that bitchy towards the curvy ones….
But that could be because, while i don’t have said curves,i generally don’t judge people for their appearances, but for who they are…..)
Good book. Very steamy. A bit disorganized
I enjoyed this book, it had a solid premise. The heroine, Emma Fischer, is stranded in France by her traveling companion and has to make her way back to Paris without knowing how to speak the language. She gets attacked at the train station and is helped out by two male models, Jaxson and Chase, who had seen her telling of her friend at the hotel the previous day and were impressed by her. They have a hot vacation menage fling with some D/s thrown into the mix.
After returning to Madison Wisconsin to college for her masters degree, she misses them and they apparently miss her so they take a vacation from modeling jobs and stay with her for a while. The BDSM is sizzling and romance is nice, not insta-Love. The odd and somewhat schizophrenic part is the sub-plots about Emma’s parents and Jaxson’s parents, they both seem sort of rushed and under developed. Also it is odd that there is little to no mention about Chase’s family when there are separate plots involving the other two.
I won’t give away any spoilers, but the book seems to end at an odd point to me. It isn’t a cliffhanger. It is actually an ending, but it just seems a bit unfinished to me. Almost like in Sleepless in Seattle where the movie is leading up to the point where they meet and then they just barely meet and it is over. You don’t eve get to see what happens or if they like each other or live happily ever after. (I’m still talking about Sleepless in Seattle) cuz that ending bothers me. .
I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I love this trio couple more and more. Every time I read a Black Light book I am impressed with how brave and courageous they are.
Having not read these books in order it’s nice to read how Jaxson, Chase, and Emma met and began their relationship. This trio is unique, and very much in love. It makes my heart happy when they proclaim “where one goes, we all go”.
Livia Grant writes these wonderful stories about beautiful characters in the most difficult roles.
I had read many Black Light books before I read Infamous Love and that made this one all the more enjoyable. Knowing how the three founders of Black Light met and became a trio was fun and sexy and interesting. The only thing missing was Chase’s history and family dynamic, but that only occurred to me after I had finished the book and in no way detracts from the story. This is a book that gives hope to all the less than perfect girls out there and also highlights that even those who seem to have it all have their own demons. A thoroughly enjoyable read.
This is where we meet the founders of Black Light, Jaxson and Chase – and their meeting with their submissive Emma. One of the benefits of being a muddled-type reader (I don’t care about sequence) is that I could get excited when Jaxson refers to the band that’ll be the opening act for the club. For me, this book could have been even longer; it was a lovely insight into the relationship between Jaxson and Chase in particular, and Jaxson’s courage in relation to his family. While the club books themselves are better than this book, this is invaluable for the back story and an understanding of Jaxson, Chase, and Emma. Oh, and it boasts a really good and intriguing opening scene.
Infamous Love is the prequel to the Black Light series, and all about how the owners of the club started their relationship. Emma is left stranded in France when she gets two unexpected saviors, the famous models Jaxson and Chase. But what starts as just a vacation fling leads to real emotions and soon the guys are following Emma back to her home. Here, they’ll need to decide – is this relationship just for fun, or is there something so much more special growing between them?
Wow, this book is super steamy, really exciting, full of battling insecurities and internal demons, and bursting with love. Jaxson, Chase, and Emma have an amazing relationship, I loved how they only built each other up, offered love and support, and helped each other through social stigmas and personal issues. Jackson was so dominant, so in control, and my favorite part was watching him figure out if this was just something for fun or something real. He needed to not only figure out his relationship with Emma, but also with Chase. Chase was just the sweetest, I loved how he enjoyed life so much and how he wore his emotions on his sleeve. He provided the rock against everyone’s storms. And Emma was the glue that held them all together! Not used to the fame, she really needed to come to terms with what was most important in her life, and I loved that once she made a decision, she followed her heart and stuck with it. This book is full length, with a lot going on, a lot of delicious scenes, and I’m so happy that there is a whole book that’s centered around the three of the original owners!
Livia Grant is brilliant in this prequel to the Black Light series.
Emma Fischer’s spent the past year attending school in Europe with Bianca, a jet-setting rich girl with whom Emma has absolutely nothing in common. And she’s about had it with Bianca’s expensive habits and sexual high jinks. When Bianca takes off with yet another man for a fling in Florence, leaving Emma alone. Emma’s snaps. After a row that brings the attention of every person within hearing range, she and Bianca part ways. With virtually no money to her name, how’s Emma to get back to Paris in time for her flight home? Enter Jaxson Davidson and Chase Cartwright, two of the most sought-after male fashion models in the world. They have a front-row seat to Emma and Bianca’s epic blow-up. The next day, as Emma struggles to catch her train on time, she’s surrounded by rowdy teens who literally pick her up, carrying her off. Suddenly the teens start hitting the ground. Out of nowhere, Jax and Chase appear. Dazed and confused, Emma’s stunned that two gorgeous men stepped in to save her. Why? She’s a nobody. When the men invite her to travel in their private car, she’s beyond shocked. Why would THEY want to spend time with HER? And so the adventure begins. As it does, none of them can possibly know what’s ahead. All three are damaged, none more so that Jax. It’s a not-so-well-kept secret that Chase and Jax are lovers. But soon, that becomes the least of their worries. As Emma’s drawn into Jax and Chase’s world, including the BDSM that’s at the core of their existence, there’s far more at stake that any of them realize. When hidden agendas come to light, Jax is forced to make a decision that will change not just his and Chase’s lives but Emma’s as well. It could very well destroy everything for each of them. Will Jax stand up to the forces that have pushed and pulled him his entire life? Can Emma trust either Jax or Chase? Does she want to? There are choices to be made. Are Jax, Chase, and Emma able to face down the biggest challenge any of them has ever faced? Or will their worlds come crashing down around them?
Livia Grant is a favorite author, and I was totally blown away by this book. She’s one of the few authors who is an automatic buy for me. Emma, Chase, and Jaxson are absolutely wonderful! To say I fell in love with them from the moment I met them is a vast understatement. Emma’s sweet, innocent, and absolutely charming. Chase and Jax are the very personification of the rich and famous. Jax and Chase are well-versed in BDSM while Emma is a complete neophyte. But these seemingly opposite personalities and backgrounds not only work; they’re stunning! The twists and turns in this book will leave you guessing right up to the very end. Livia Grant has created a story that takes you from the depths of despair to the heights of passion. She also knows her subject matter very well. The descriptions of every aspect of the BDSM lifestyle with its infinite possibilities, nuances, and inherent beauty are nothing less than breathtaking and spot on. This book resonated with me on so many levels, and I was hooked from the first word. I read far into the night just to finish this book. I can’t give Infamous Love anything less than five stars. It’s just that compelling! Congratulations, Ms. Grant, on an absolutely marvelous book!
One final note. Be an informed reader! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and BDSM sexual scenes. If you don’t enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers’ websites. Use these resources. DON’T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON’T ENJOY THE BOOK. It’s not fair to the author. She works very hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you’ll object to the book’s subject matter before you buy it, you’re doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading
Having read several of the Black Light books I felt it was high time I found out more about Jaxon, Chase and Emma. I’ve had the book sitting on my kindle for a little while and eventually found the time to discover where it all started.
This was a gentler read than I had expected and felt fairly low on the angst and heartache scale. I did feel an emotional connection to the characters, Emma’s fears and insecurities were very real and understandable. Having read the Black Light books first I’d expected that this might have a heavier BDSM feel to it. However, in reflection, since Emma was totally new to the scene it made much more sense for that side of things to develop at a slower pace.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, it is really well written with a very easy to read and follow style. The pace was good, easily holding my attention, and the plot was quite surprising in how it didn’t follow predictable and cliched norms. The love between the characters was very easy to believe in and the way they faced the hurdles life put in their way felt very natural and real.
If you haven’t read any or much of the Black Light series I do recommend reading this book first, or as soon as you can. It’s also an excellent book to introduce you to BDSM or menage stories.
What a great beginning to the Black Light series that I am in love with. Reading this was great but listening to the audio really makes the story come to life. The narrators do a great job of bringing the sexy in this story. Although I would have loved seeing more about the characters in some instances, it is a prequel, so we do get more of them in later books.
Loved this the first time read it, so I decided to read it again and I loved it the second time reading as well and I loved this book just as much the second time I read it just as much as I loved it the first time. Some books are worth reading over and over and this is one of them. If you like MMF stories with a little spanking you are sure to love this one, I highly recommend it. I loved the ending and think you will too.
As a prequel to the Blacklight series, I hope I get to read more of this threesome’s (MMF) relationship. This was a solid start with realistic feelings from the size16 girlfriend.
I kinda read all of the Black Light series before this lol, but I’m so happy I finally read it. The start of this trio’s love story is beautiful!
In Infamous Love we get the introduction of Emma the college student to Jaxson and Chase the famous models. The chemistry between these three is combustible they sizzle! After an incredible evening together they go their separate ways. You need to read the book to find out how the story unfolds I don’t want to spoil it for anyone.
I love this story! I love the way the relationship develops between Jaxson, Chase, and Emma. I love the way they care about each other and how protective the guys are of Emma. I love that their romance blossoms over time even though the chemistry between them in undeniable. I love the setting, the passion, the kinky scenes, and the HEA at the end. Their journey to that HEA isn’t the easiest but anything worth having is worth fighting for, and that’s what this story depicts. If you have read the other Black Light stories then you won’t want to miss this, and if you haven’t then this is the perfect story to test the waters with. Those waters are absolutely perfect, and you’ll be happy you dove in.
I just loved this ultra steamy book that started it all in the Black Light series!
Livia sets the perfect stage for where Emma, Jaxson and Chase physically meet for the first time in the train station on their way to Paris. You feel how Jaxson and Chase woo Emma with their words of how far superior she compares to their model dates the day before and know of her desire to be on the dancefloor in the spotlight. Emma seizes her chance to experience being with these exceptionally handsome and domineering men for the time she has with them. Yet Emma returns to Wisconsin to begin her summer semester and TA job without exchanging contact info wishing she had, but knowing she would never see them again. To say that Emma is surprised when Jaxson and Chase show up at her TA job for a vacation with her to renew their steamy interactions is putting it mildly. They live in Emma’s hidey hole apartment until work, life and family pressures demand answers. What will Emma do about her education and family when Chase and Jaxson offer her the chance of a lifetime? Will Emma survive the public scrutiny of stepping out with her men? Jaxson’s father demands for him to make an appearance for his political event puts Jaxson in turmoil of what to do until Chase and Emma step up with “Where you go, we all go.” Each character’s weakness is portrayed in the story and how the others work together to overcome them! Superb story that will have you reaching for the next Black Light book!
This is an excellent story of unusual love and the struggles and ultimate triumph of three beautiful characters. The romance is sweet and super hot. The plot is unique and a great basis for launching the Black Light series – the club that the trio open. Such deep and believable characters are easy to love and root for. The story continues on in further books that just deepen the relationship and the world building begun here. Hats off to Livia Grant for a stunning book.
I feel lucky that I’ve read this when Complicated Love was already published because this prequel left me wanting more of Emma, Chase and Jaxon!
I have to say that I rarely read ménage romances so I didn’t think I would like this one as much as I did. But I was pleasantly surprised and completely hooked!
It was easy to connect with characters and all three of them were well developed. The author also did a great job making them and their struggles realistic and relatable. You just cannot help but fall in love with this amazing trio!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This is the book that started me on the Blacklight Series and Oh Lord! I was not disappointed at all. This is the prequel of the trio that started Blacklight Jaxson, Chase, and Emma. Sparks fly when they meet, panties fly as well This is a book I will read over and over again just because… Get ready for a sexy, seductive and wild ride!
Infamous Love is the prequel to the Black Light series. I didn’t read this book but listened to it as an audiobook and I really enjoyed it. I’ve listened to it at lease 3 times. I loved the chemistry between Jaxson, Chase and Emma. The fact that they love Emma as she is and hates when she puts herself down for her weight just Mae me love the guys more. This was my first book by Livia Grant and I can’t wait to read more books in this series.
I know there are a lot of bad reviews but this is fiction and if you don’t like sex, MMF/MM please don’t read this book just to leave a bad review.
In this prequel to the entire Black Light series the reader is introduced to the core characters: Emma, the curvy grad student and submissive; Chase, the happy go lucky model and Switch; and Jaxson the intense model and Dom. Emma is basically abandoned in France by her travel companion Bianca to find her way home, problem being she does not speak any French and is terrified. She is accosted by punks at the train station and rescued by Jaxson and Chase who help her get to Paris. They hit it off on the train and she stays with them until her plane leaves. The guys end up following her back to Wisconsin a few weeks later and they pick up where they left off. They stay with her for their month long vacation and talk her into coming with them. Jaxson’s father is making a run for President and pressures him and Emma to go to the announcement. Jackson and his father have a very acrimonious relationship. Jackson pulls a stunt at the gala that prevents his father from running. The trio spend their time traveling for work and planning their future.
