They call me a God, Demon, Monster,Depends on which side of me they’ve faced.I’m cold, with an insatiable thirst for blood, lust, and money. If you’ve got my attention,You’re either next on my list, or about to slip into my sheets.I’m Arthur Calthorpe, leader of the Tabella Della Morte.I don’t trust, I own.I don’t love, I desire.I don’t ask, I take. And I want Gaia. The silver haired tyrant is a … Gaia.
The silver haired tyrant is a ruthless criminal,

But the monster has set his sights on me.

The trouble is those eyes and the fact that I want to know the story behind them.

Oh mercy me this was the book I had been waiting for and by a new arthur for me and damn did it not disappoint this book was absolutely amazing.
This is Arthur’s book and as you would expect with him being the boss of the Cavalieri men that his story would be full of gruesome discoveries and this Arthur oh man nailed it. He’d not had the best of life he’d had to toughen up at a early age at the hand’s of his father always striving for more. Wherever he went death followed he wasn’t called the “Reaper” for nothing.
There was so much going on in this book it kept me turning pages. I had wondered when I started reading the series just how the Cavalieri Della Morte men had come to be and all is revealed in the story you won’t want to miss this book.
This was a hard book to put down I couldn’t get enough of it. If you’ve been reading the series you most definitely need to grab this one it was so freaking good
THIS BOOK, y’all!! It scrambled my brain, put my heart through a blender and scorched my soul. I had no idea what I was getting into, but I never could have imagined this. This bloody, vindictive, sinister and oh-so-delicious masterpiece!
Arthur Calthorpe is a hard, ruthless man with a heart of ice. He racked up his first kill at age eleven and learned long ago that love makes a man weak. He’s the head of the most powerful crime family in New Orleans, and he lives to control, consume and dominate. This is a man who you only cross once, because he’ll ensure you don’t live to do it a second time. Women have only one purpose for a man like Arthur: to submit to his brutal treatment as they meet his baser needs, leaving the woman used, discarded and destroyed. That is, until he meets Gaia.
This mind-blowing book is all kinds of messed up! Okay, I feel better getting that off my chest. But truly, this book is so outside my reality with criminals to whom the rest of the world’s laws don’t apply. Arthur and his men would just as soon shoot you as shake your hand, and the eyes of the law are blind, I tell you. Blind! Then there’s the whole Arthur and Gaia thing. She has to be about twenty-five years younger than him, and the way they get together? Well, I can’t tell you without spoiling something, but any other girl would have run far, far away when she had the chance.
That said, it’s also a story that left an indelible mark on my soul. I don’t know how she did it, but the author had me falling for this vicious, horrible man, and I’m still dumbfounded. I had no trouble connecting with Gaia, and she’s one smart, tough cookie. I yelled at her several times to get away from Arthur and stay far away, but as I read on, my tune changed until eventually I was pulling for them to be together.
If you’re a little bored with the typical contemporary romance and want something that will shake you up a bit, this is definitely the book for you. It’s complex and convoluted, with twists and surprises you’ll never see coming. It portrays an epic love that is pure, beautiful, and valiantly won, and it will keep you in its clutches from the first page to the last. Once you start reading, you won’t want to put this book down!
*I reviewed an advance copy of this book freely and voluntarily, having made no commitment to provide a review and receiving no compensation of any kind from any source for this review.
I have been patiently waiting for the conclusion to the Cavalieri Della Morte Series. Thirteen books may be considered unlucky, but Inexorable definitely was not. Arthur is the man who orchestrated the Tabella Della Morte. Whilst he sat at the head he had twelve men who were worthy of joining him at the round table. Blood is thicker than water, but when power is involved sometimes they become your enemy. He chose men who had certain skills and were loyal to him and his vision.
Arthur unapologetically loves women who get down on their knees and obey his command. He’s calculating, cruel, has a passion for blood and killing, but avoids commitment and relinquishing power. When Arthur’s father is murdered he wants revenge, but bringing him in eludes him.
wow what a amazing read that will show you the series is completed by this last book in the series. this book was writed amazing. brought this series to amazing ending.
Arthur’s story was so very much worth waiting for…
A huge bravo to Jo-Anne Joseph – she took me from really disliking Arthur to having quite a soft spot for him. The picture I’d got of Arthur, from the previous Cavalieri Della Morte books had felt a little disjointed and almost contradictory at times. Whether by pure luck or fantastic writing (and based on the rest of the book I’m plumping for the latter) this story drew all those stands together and added enough extra to build a very believable and coordinated picture of the man. Everything we had seen of him previously melded so well with the man we saw in this book.
And then there is Gaia, who I utterly and totally fell in love with. My god she was just kick-ass, tough and determined. Honestly if you don’t love her then I just can’t be friends with you, for me she made this book. Did I mention I loved her and that she was absolutely amazing? The power battles between Gaia and Arthur were so much fun, this was one alpha guy who wasn’t going to steam-roller all over the girl. Most of the time it was a toss up as to who had who by the balls. This is the type of heroine I love to read about, but I’m fairly certain you already guessed that!
Talking of guessing, this plot has one ‘ta-da – surprise!’ moment after another, this was one abso-bloody-lutely amazing and suspense filled plot. Whilst I could see one tiny twists JUST before it was revealed, for me there was nothing trite or predictable about this plot. It was also so captivating and un-put-downable that I read it in one sitting.
Whilst I’ve enjoyed this series, there are some books that have clearly stood head and shoulders above the rest, this is one of them. For me it had the perfect balance of action, suspense, mystery, conflict and steam and this is a book I am only too happy to recommend.
Inexorable (Cavalieri Della Morte series) by Jo-Anne Joseph is Artnur Calthorpe’s story. I have so been looking forward to his story. As the leader of the elite group of assassins we learn how he became the man that he is. Arthur is a cold blooded killer who is ruthless which is how he was raised and groomed by his father. Arthur’s family has run New Orleans for generations. After the ultimate betrayal by those closest to him there was not stopping him. He cared about no one until her. Gaia knows Arthur because her family is an associate and her mother is sleeping with Arthur. There is something about him that sets her soul on fire. She knows she needs to be guarded but she just can’t stay away. Inexorable is all that. It was all that and a bag of chips and a juicy. Action packed. Of course Arthur is sexy as hell. I do say I was expecting some reasons why he did somethings with the other assassins from the previous books but no such luck. They were in the story, loyal to Arthur and following his orders without question. No matter I still liked the story and was not disappointed. 4.5 stars for me.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
They call me a God, Demon, Monster. Depends on whihc side of me they’ve faced. I’m cold, with an insatiable thrist for blood, lust, and money. If you’ve got my attention. You’re either next on my list, or about to slip into my sheets. I’m Aruthur Calthorpe, leader of the Tebella Della Morte. I don’t trust, I own. I don’t love, I desire. I don’t ask, I take. And I want Gaia
The silver-haired tyrant is a ruthless criminal. The first time I saw him was in my mother’s bed. But the monster has set his sights on me. He’s relentless, and he’s found my achilles heel. When he offers me a bargain, I’m hard-pressed to refuse. What lengths am I willing to go to be free of him, and how far will he go to stop me. The trouble in those eyes and the fact that I want to know the story behind them.
If you have been reading this series you know that Authur is the boss!! Then Man with the plan and he is ruthless. However that is all about to change and your about to fall in love with one of the badest bad men on the planet. Author is a man on mission to make the man who killed his father years ago fianlly pay. He has not been able to find him in twenty five years. Along with him he has other men that are plotting to go to the pollice and spill the beans. On of those men is Gaia and Gabriels father so he takes them to get their father to come and get them. However he wants Gaia and being around her is messing with his mind. This is the book…the pay off……the one that I devoured in no time at all. You guys are going to love this book and Authur so much. I could go on and on about it but I don’t want to give away anything about this book and ruin it for anyone who has yet to read it. If you have missed this series you need to go back and start with book one. Your going to love each and every one of them but this one is my favorite.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
This is the story I was waiting for.
Arthur ~
The mind behind the Cavalieri ~ The King
The Puppeteer controlling our knights.
Ruthless ~ Poisonous ~ No f’s to give
Everything I knew he was ~ I was so not disappointed!
Getting the story of how and why Arthur became such a void of emotions. Seeing him in his habitat, manipulating, planning conquering! Priceless!
From the first book, I decided I really did not trust him. As I progressed through the series I found he was quite easy to loathe but at other times just as easy to love.
I may have a soft spot for the old man
Gaia is a force unto herself! Watching her bring the mighty Arthur to his knees made me fricking giddy! She is a piano teacher by day but once the sun sets, pray it is not you that she harbors ill intentions towards. She is one bad arse biatch!
The chemistry, the take and … (wasn’t a whole lot of give) between these two was electric!
The twisted little surprises dotted here and there? Oh heck no!
Getting to go behind the scenes. Seeing all my favorites to date. Priceless!
As with all the books from this series, if lots of blood flowing freely, graphic torture, angst (lots of angst), betrayal and steamy behind the door scenes that are not so behind the door are not your thing you might want to choose another book.
From the very start of this fantastic series I have eagerly awaited Arthur Calthorpe’s story and it was everything I hoped for.
A force to be reckoned with and the man behind the scenes Arthur has always made sure the Cavalieri dole out justice. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do for the family he’s created. All his carefully constructed plans are thrown for a loop when he meets a spitfire named Gaia.
I loved Gaia’s fierceness and her unwillingness to give up no matter what. Her interactions with Arthur had me either laughing out loud or fanning myself. These two were quite the interesting pair and I enjoyed watching them circle around the other. Things were not as they seemed and the twists and turns their story took along the way kept me on the edge of my seat until the end.
I have enjoyed this amazing series and as perfect as Arthur’s story was to end it I am a bit sad to say goodbye to my favorite Knights.
Inexorable is a wild, twisted, dark and dangerous book that had me staying up until the middle of the night to finish. I never knew which story was real or how to feel about any of the characters until the end. This is not a warm and fluffy read it is raw and gritty but such a great book to get lost in.
Dark reads are my weakness and this book filled my soul with everything I look for in book. Their story was filled with lies, secrets and brutality. There is a code among the dangerous and those codes are being broken and twisted for their own gain…when the last man falls, everything is up in the air. Who will win this war and who will fail for the last time? Then you bring in the romance and is that much more intense.
I can not recommend this book enough, especially if you love the darkness!
This writes has never failed me so far. Every book keeps you begging for the bad guy who will kill at the drop of a hat. The authors have sucked you in until you can’t think of anything else. And this book follows that path to a tee!!! I have never loved and hated a villain at the same time in my life. He made me want to be Gia because of his dark and dirty ways. The author created this dark, delicious forbidden romance that you will devour from the first word. An unbelievable, unpredictable story of lies, deceit and darkness. Join the dark world of Cavalieri Della Morte and you will never regret it.
Arthur is the head honcho of this criminal organization. He makes the men do what he wants and he always gets what he wants. He wants Gaia. Their story is one full of many emotions and twists and turns. You have to read it to find out what and how it all happens. It is an age gap romance that will leave you with a hangover and loving age gaps and dark and forbidden men that we should run far away from.
What an incredible end to this phenomenal series! If you have been reading this series, you will know the name Arthur Calthorpe. He is a force to be reckoned with and he will do anything to protect his family. This series had me from the very first book and I couldn’t wait to read Arthur’s story. He is the man behind all the scenes and who doesn’t love a hot, older man! He has a plan in place and then he meets Gaia and all that changes, or at least that is what I thought. These two meet in a not so conventional way, but you could feel it in your heart that these two belonged together. But there are so many obstacles, I couldn’t see how it could be possible. This story ties up any loose ends and while it does end the series, I’m hoping for maybe some spin-offs! Arthur and Gaia will ingrain themselves into your very heart and soul, they belong together, and I hoped against hope they would end up together. But, if you want to know, you will have to read this story. I do highly recommend you start at the very beginning so you can understand how Arthur came to be. This story is also not for the feint of heart, at times it could be very, very dark, but I loved every word and am in awe of this authors writing. A true masterpiece!!
After reading this series, I’ve had glimpses of Arthur. I wondered why he was always so angry when his men found young women they loved. And now with this story, his behaviour makes sense. His past has dictated his actions and he hardened his heart. Arthur turned himself into a cold heartless monster to protect himself. However this silver fox is much more than what he lets people see.
Gaia is a fiery young woman with immense strength and love despite her experiences. Fiercely loyal and determined, she is not one to cower under Arthur’s gaze. Even when he threats and demands Gaia to comply. The two of them are both stubborn and quick tempered which makes for a combustible combination. Arthur tries to push Gaia away to ensure her freedom but Gaia won’t let him.
There are surprises galore as the past is slowly revealed. It seems that Gaia’s family is not what they seem. There have been some great books in this series but I think this one has edged its way to the top of the list. I loved Arthur because he was a complicated man who, despite his actions, wasn’t entirely what he seemed at first glance. He is the epitome of the phrase you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. This was a great book by Jo-Anne Joseph. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Arthur!!!!
This book is everything you’d want and expect in a dark romance…It’s one of those books that sends happy tingles straight to my blackend heart..
Arthur and Gaia both have messed up pasts.. like seriously messed up… But together they are explosive….
This book contains triggers for some.. I absolutely love, love, loved this book..
Arthur Is Here!! It’s the Boss of all Bosses turn to fall…or fall in love. Arthur “Diavolo” Calthorpe is the man in charge of the Cavalieri Della Morte Assassins. A Betrayal from his past has made him the man he is today…ruthless, some might even say soulless, until a girl named Gaia enters the picture. Gaia Russo hates her family with the exception of her twin brother Gabe. The first time she saw Arthur she could tell that he was the devil in disguise. When Her family tries to betray Arthur and his Cavalieri, he takes matters into his own hand by taking their pawns, Gaia & Gabe. Can Arthur handle one Spitfire of a girl or will that fire in her make him want more than revenge? This was absolutely fantastic and I loved getting a glimpse of the younger Arthur and how he became who he is. Full of hotness, suspense, action, did I mention hotness and who doesn’t love a strong, sexy older man!. This one is not to be missed and is my first Jo-Anne Joseph Book. Told in dual POV
After reading other books in this series, I was eager to finally read Arthur’s story. He is dark, cold blooded and ruthless. Gaia and him meet under extenuating circumstances. She has endured much pain in her life and is equally ruthless in righting the wrongs done to her and others. These two are the perfect match for each other. Unfortunately, things don’t turn out quite the way either one expected. This bone chilling, gritty journey of theirs gave me a twisted, mind blowing reading experience. I highly recommend this masterpiece to readers that love dark romance.
I absolutely fell in love with this dark, wicked modernized world, loosely tied to King Arthur and his knights. Arthur Calthorpe may be a tough leader, a brutal fighter, and evil incarnate but he has met his match in Gaia Russo, his enemy’s daughter and next target. The tension between these two is off the charts angsty and hot. Definitely worth the read.
Raised to be violent and to get what he wants by any means necessary. Arthur raises fear in all. He has a band on violent men at his beck and call. However, in some cases he feels it needs his personal touch, When you see his history, you see what made him the man he is. Untrusting, heartless, a taker and a breaker. When he sees Gaia he wants her. Gaia is no push over. She will walk through fire for her brother. Gaia must make a deal with the devil. A violent, complicated story that will have you turning pages until the end.

WOW!! This book is out of this world!! It will wrap itself around your heart from start to finish taking you on a roller coaster of emotions – some of them I have never ever felt before. I stopped reading a number of times in order to calm myself down. It is an on the edge of your seat read that is well written, well-developed, dark, and raw.The characters are very broken, flawed, and strong; together they are perfect. The author takes us on a nail-biting, action packed dark ride and I loved every broken moment. A Must Read!

FAVORITE in series!
A heart pounding phenomenal read that pulls you in from the start and keeps you spellbound as the dark well written storyline plays with your emotions and awakens your senses. A fantastic must read that can be read as a standalone and is by far the best in this series and I loved every brilliant word.
