I don’t care what anyone says, loving Sam wasn’t a mistake. The only mistake I ever made was letting the wrong person see the two of us together. Her best friend knew the only chance he had with Sam was to get rid of me. That’s why the bastard had me arrested. I rotted away for ten agonizing months in prison while that jackass tried to take my place. Sam may think that she’s moved on with her …
Sam may think that she’s moved on with her life. That’s exactly what I wanted her to do, until I found out his plan worked. The two of them have been living together, playing house while I struggled to survive.
What the prick doesn’t realize is that she’s mine and there’s nothing he can do to keep us apart.
I’m coming for her, and I would love to see him try and stop me.

This is a poignant story about overcoming adversity in spite of the wrongs done to you. Grant is a Physical Therapist who happens to be on call when Samantha sprains her ankle there is a spark between them but Grant did not know that she was still in high school. Hunter who was a jealous young man turned Grant in and as a result Grant went to prison for rape even though Samantha was nineteen years old. Due to miscommunication, Grant and Samantha struggled to get back what was lost between them and Hunter’s antics did not help. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
I really wanted to love this book. I love the story! I love the characters! Grant is HOT…. Sam is sweet…. Hunter is a typical spoiled rich kid. I love the author!
This is a great story about love that “shouldn’t” happen. It follows all the things that try to tear apart Grant and Sam. It had a great little twist in the mix that you kind of see coming, but hope you are wrong about. It had a good ending. Nothing was left out, but some how I felt incomplete when the book ended. It was written from alternating POV and the time line went back and forth. I think because of this it felt to me like it was a bit rushed.
Regardless I can honestly say that I will read it again, probably a few times, and I would totally recommend others to read it as well.
Indiscretion by Lane Hart an indescribable five-star read. This is the first book by this author I have read, but it won’t be the last the Cocky cage fighter series has just moved up to the top of my TBR pile. This book is amazing, I read it in one afternoon, I couldn’t put it down. This story was compelling, just as one things gets explained something else gets revealed and has your heart in your throat once more.
Dr Grant Mathews has spent 10 months of his life rotting away in a prison cell, he knows what he did was wrong, but when you love someone it doesn’t feel wrong. Now he is finally out, he has a chance to set right his wrongs, and make her understand why he did what he did and make her understand why he has ignored her for all those months. He just wanted her to move on with her life and forget him, but the one thing he didn’t want was for her to move on with her ‘Platonic’ best friend Hunter, as he was the one who plotted his downfall.
Samantha Elliot’s life fell apart 10 months ago, her lover went to prison and other events unfolded that left her broken, she moved on and moved in with her best friend but life is still going on around her. The man she loves hasn’t contacted her so she surprises him when he is released and it sparks a chain of events that will alter both of their lives forever, in more ways that they can imagine.
This book will challenge you, as it deals with issues that not everyone will agree with, and love that although true is also forbidden, will you see past the reasons behind why its forbidden and see how much they love each other? Or will you agree with the law that its wrong?
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I give this a 3 & 1/2 stars rounded up.
Overall, this was a good read. Not the sort of book I would normally pick up to read. The book had a bit of a choppy flow, with jumping from past to present to past tense constantly, & from chapter to chapter jumping from the Hero or heroine’s point of view. The past to present to past thing is not something I really enjoy, but in order to pull off this story without giving away all the details up front was necessary. The characters, Samantha & Grant, were likable to a degree, but I tend to have a strong moral compass for certain things, so their situation was a bit of a turn off to me. The story really didn’t pull me in enough to care about the H/h situation, until about the half way point, after the prom, was where it finally held my attention. The HEA ending was good, even though part of it felt a bit fanciful & unrealistic.
This book was definitely not what I expected at all; however, I devoured each page because I couldn’t put it down. You will absolutely be taken through so many emotions because of the twists and turns throughout the book. Such a heart-wrenching beautiful story that will leave you breathless and begging for more. Thank you for another outstanding read Lane Hart!
