LilyIt’s the most wonderful time of the year… or at least it was supposed to be. Until he showed up and ruined my plans of sipping peppermint hot chocolate by the fire, at my family’s cabin in the mountains. I was looking forward to a relaxing week, where my hardest decision would be which holiday-themed underwear to wear each day. But no. Rhys Conner, notorious bad boy and blast from the past … the past had to show up and snow on my magical Christmas parade. Now my thoughts were more along the lines of how not to lose my festive panties. But if he thinks I’m going to sit on his lap and whisper secrets in his ear, he has another thing coming.
Rhys
Big family holidays are not my thing, especially watching my dad pretend to be Father Christmas. The only reason I’m even considering going is for the chance to get close to her, Lily Hayes, gorgeous good girl and my soon to be step-sister. We have some unfinished business of our own, before we become one big happy family. I can’t wait to show her just how nice being naughty can be.

Lily has been in love with Rhys since she shared a table with him during their senior year art class. He was the quintessential bad boy and he intimidated her but drew her in at the same time. Four years later they are reunited in a most unlikely manner and all those nervous, excited, aroused emotions she once experienced in his presence springs to the forefront, consuming her.
I love a damaged bad boy, and Rhys was certainly all that. But he was so much more and as the story progresses the very essence of who and what Rhys is made of is revealed. As the reader, I was very much aware that it was Lily that brought light and goodness into his life. And oh my! Who doesn’t adore a hero who will do anything to win his woman? Rhys was determined and I just wanted to gorge myself on all the amazing, loving things he did to show Lily how he really felt.
This was an exceptional read!!! It was just too dang short! This author has evolved and each new release is better than the last. Indecent Holiday is proof of that fact.
First Love
Lily & Rhet met in high school art class their senior year in high school. But then he disappeared. She went to college and started studying graphic art design. But then her mom started dating his dad. They were up at the family cabin and he came with his dad. They finally admitted they liked each other, then he got in a fight with his dad and disappeared again. Now she is living and working in New York, and he is doing really good as an artist. When meet up at her job and they try again.
Fantastic. Sweet and spicy all at the same time. Both Rhys and Lily were so sweet and their chemistry was off the scales. I also loved that the book moved seemlessly through six years of their lives. My reading choices have been mediocre lately but I picked a winner with this one. I started it before I went to sleep and woke up at 3:00am and finished it. I will definitely read this author again.
Indecent Holiday is by Elizabeth Brown. This is the first book I have read by Elizabeth and wow, I loved it! First of all, I love Christmas Romance books. I would consider this a second chance love story, maybe even a second, second chance. It was both sweet and heart breaking, and also hot as heck!
Liliana (Lily) Hayes is in her last year of art school. Lily loves Christmas, she loves traditions. It’s just her and her mom, her dad abandoned them years ago. Every year she and her mom go to their cabin in Tahoe and celebrate Christmas there. Only this year, her mom wants to bring her boyfriend along. A boyfriend whose son just happens to be the boy she fell in love with in high school but hasn’t seen in four years.
Rhys Conner doesn’t want anything to do with his dad. But his dad wants to spend Christmas with his new girlfriend who just happens to be the mom of a classmate of his from back in high school. A girl that he has never forgotten, a girl who he has some unfinished business with.
Lily thought she had gotten over Rhys, convinced herself it was a silly school girl crush, until she came face to face with him again. All he had to do was look at her and her body responded in ways it never had before.
“I was like a junkie who’d been abstinent for years but then realized all that strength I thought I had? All the power I’d felt in moving on? It was fake. Not real.”
“I was wood, and he was fire, and my lust for him threatened to consume me at every turn.”
Rhys and Lily spend several wondrous days together in Tahoe but Rhys has some secrets and circumstances once again come between them. Lily’s heart is broken. She is determined to get on with her life and leave her memories behind. Only fate has other ideas and they are once again given a second chance. Rhys has left her not once but twice now. How can she ever risk him breaking her heart again? She simply would not survive it. But Rhys always gets what he wants. And, he wants Lily in his life.
First of all, these two were scorching hot! But also so adorable. I loved Lily’s enthusiasm over the holidays. And Rhys! Well, he made me sigh more than once. But my heart also broke for him. I so wanted these two to get their happy ever after. But Rhys has his work cut out for him winning back the trust of Lily.
This is the perfect book to warm you up on a chilly night and get you in the mood for the holidays. I didn’t anticipate feeling so many emotions when I read it, though. I really enjoyed it and truly look forward to reading more by this author in the future.
Great read
