Katie McCoy’s been cooped up in a shooting range for too long. A wild love affair is just what she needs to let loose, though she never imagined it would be with her smokin’ hot trainee. She cannot get involved with Jack—but a quick fling? Perfect. Falling hard for a charismatic recruit with an equal amount of sex appeal and secrets? Bloody stupid.
Jack’s charmed the pants off plenty of women (literally), yet few have ever looked beyond his perfect surface. Until Katie. He’ll do anything to keep her in his life . . . except tell her about his past. But a tiny lie of omission never hurt anyone, right?

Jack intrigued me in Disorderly Conduct but never did I imagine that he would be so much more than charming. Learning his back story made his journey to be with Katie even more perfect and dreamy!
Tessa Bailey did a great job of balancing the emotional histories of both Katie and Jack, the humor you expect from a Tessa Bailey book, and the scorching sexy times.
I can’t wait to watch Dannika make Lt. Burns grovel!
Even though I know there will be a HEA, I love the characters and how they work through their issues to get to the HEA. Love her books! 😉
I’ve had this book for a while but haven’t had time to read it. I knew it would be good but Jack really broke me.
Knowing the reasons for his destructive ways is heartbreaking. Katie has had her own struggles and Jack is helping in his own way.
* Excellent storyline with enough progression to keep my attention but still making it suspenseful
* Characters descriptions is as always colourful and filled with feelings so you get to know the characters on a intimate level that only few authors manages to create in my opinion.
* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
* Witty and important dialogues that makes the characters feelings and passion even more clearly
* Secondary characters that makes me curious and I can’t wait to dive in to Danika’s story
* The love scenes is intense and emotional, and Tessa Bailey is still the Queen of dirty talk in my book…yeah!!!!
If you want a emotional, sweet, hot read this is 5 stars of that.
I really like a well wrtten story when the H feels unworthy and the h transform the way they think about themselves. Katie saw Jack’s true self and encouraged him to see that he is more than a pretty face. Her innocence and openess was the perfect foil to Jack’s self percieved unclean knowledge and experiences.
Tess Bailey sure can write some HOT scenes so you might want to be careful where you read it! 😉
There are not enough words to describe how much I loved this book. This book has everything an amazing book should.
I adored Katie. In so many ways she was this cultured, Olympic gold medalist but yet there was a vulnerability and naivety to her that I could relate to. She come to the United States for work but yet she has this itinerary of places she wants to see and things she wants to do. I am very envious of this. I loved how she was with Jack. She saw the good in him even before he did. I loved watching her fight for him!!
After finishing this book, my heart truly belongs to Jack. This man who has had such a horrible upbringing and was struggling at the beginning of this book captured my heart. Jack is described as having charisma and looks that have gotten him everything until he meets Katie. I loved that from the first moment he met her, he knew he wanted to be around her. It was so heart wrenching to hear about the burdens he had to bear and to watch him stumble. Without giving the ending away, I loved the growth and strength he showed in all aspects of his life.
This is what good storytelling is all about. You feel so deeply for a character or a situation that when they hurt, you hurt. I can’t recommend this book enough.
I love her books
INDECENT EXPOSURE is the second instalment in Tessa Bailey’s contemporary, adult THE ACADEMY erotic, romance series focusing on three police academy cadets: Charlie Burns, Jack Garrett and Danika Silva. This is cadet Jack Garrett, and Olympic Gold Medallist from Ireland and expert markswoman Katie McCoy’s story line. INDECENT EXPOSURE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person points of view (Jack and Katie) INDECENT EXPOSURE follows police academy Jack Garrett as he battles demons from his past. Meeting the sexy Irish Katie McCoy had Jack dreaming of bigger plans for the evening only to come face to face with the Academy’s new firearms instructor-the same woman starring in his fantasies and dreams. Enter Katie McCoy, Olympic Gold Medallist from Ireland and expert markswoman, and the woman with whom Jack will fall in love. What ensues is the building relationship between Katie and Jack, and the potential fall out when Jack’s past begins to slowly take over his life, and Katie’s time in New York, comes to a close.
Throughout the story line the reader is up close and personal with a man whose demons ride him hard; a past mired in dark secrets that manifest themselves with too much drinking and low self-esteem. Jack is the epitome of sexy, handsome, model-worthy eye candy but a man whose struggles are painful and sad. Katie McCoy is a woman struggling with her place in the world; pulled in different directions wanting to please the family she has left behind.
The relationship between Jack and Katie is one of immediate attraction who met ‘unofficially’ the night before their formal introductions. Never expecting to see one another again, the sparks begin to fly even though Katie begins to question Jack’s involvement in the police academy training program. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense, but once again, I dislike the use of a certain four-letter word that has no place in a romance story line-Jack likes to talk dirty in the bedroom.
We are re-introduced to Jack’s best friends, roommates and fellow police academy cadets: Charlie Burns and his girlfriend Ever (Disorderly Conduct #1), and Danika Silva, a woman who has caught the eye of the police academy instructor Lieutenant Greer Burns (Charlie’s brother). Greer and Danika’s story line is next in Disturbing His Peace.
INDECENT EXPOSURE is a story of family and friendship; acceptance and letting go of the past; of romance, love, and forgiveness. The character driven premise is captivating and revealing; the characters are driven, broken and colorful; the romance is energetic, provocative and passionate.
Loved this book from page one. I loved how Jack met Katie as she was peering into a bar because she was on a mob murder sightseeing trip. These two were great together right from the start. Jack finally had a girl not falling all over him because of his looks. Katie was just a sweet, innocent girl on a work trip from Ireland.
When they meet again at the police academy I love the shock of it for both of them. The fact that Katie is in a similar field of work as Jack is great and really motivates Jack to want to be better. For her but also for himself. I love how Jack opened up to Katie about his past and why he acts like he does. It isn’t all at once but he starts to realize he is worth something when before he didn’t feel that way.
I love the friendship with Danika and that she realized how important Katie became to Jack. The sex between Jack and Katie was freaking hot! Their first encounter was WOW.
I definitely recommend this book. Such a great book. Jack was a great guy and it was nice to see that he was kinda broken and yet felt at the end that he did deserve to be happy. Looking forward to Greer and Danika next!

At some point or another, I think I’ve read everything Tessa Bailey has written.
If this isn’t the case, I’m close.
But what I can say for certain is this is not only one of the best books I’ve ever read, but it’s also quite possibly the best book Ms. Bailey has ever written.
I’m picky. And, yes, it’s that good.
Jack. Where do I even start with how broken he is from events in his past? And, who wouldn’t be? He had a rough childhood, yet somehow he came out of it with a stunning ability to love and care about others, even if his ability to do the same about himself is a little damaged. But, broken as he is, he’s most certainly not beyond repair.
The beauty though is that while Katie shows Jack that he’s better than he even realizes, he learns this for himself. You like Jack from the beginning, but by the end, you fall a little in love with him because of who he is, of what he’s gotten past, because of what he’s endured and because of who you watch him become.
Katie brings her own baggage, but who doesn’t. And, her baggage conflicts with who Jack is…or rather the way Jack copes with the things in his life. And, I loved the angst this caused, the tension felt real. More often than not you love the people you love in spite of their flaws, you maybe learn to live with the imperfections, but the reality is that when love works, when it’s real, it’s the ability to accept all of the other person because letting them go is worse.
This book is angsty. Your heart will be in your throat, there will be times Jack, and Katie, break your heart. But it’s so incredibly worth it.
I couldn’t put this book down, and more importantly, I didn’t want to. I didn’t want it to end, and I’m sad I finished it. I want more time with Jack and Katie.
Jack and Katie are amazing. I recommend this title.
