Loved the characters and storyline!
This was such an interestingly good book. Piper, the main character, is witty, funny, and sarcastic. Pretty heavy sexual tension throughout. And did I mention her sass?! And the Durand brothers…whew! Great characters, good storyline, and the multiple POV is awesome. Cliffhanger, but an all together great read!
I loved this book. When I saw the blurb for this book I knew I needed to read it! This book was funny and engaging and I loved all of the characters. Piper is something else! Shes full of attitude and clumsy as hell, she made this story entertaining. She gets a job (she desperately needs) as a maid for a group of rich men who all live in one home. On her VERY first day she breaks an irreplaceable vase. On top of breaking the vase, She learns the secret they’ve held on to for years and it’s going to cost her! I am looking forward to reading more by this author!!
Happy Reading!
I fully enjoyed this novel by Erin Bedford. I enjoyed it so much possibly because I could relate so well to Piper because I am also super clumsy and always finding trouble. This novel was entertaining and funny. I loved the exchanges between Piper and the four brothers. The interaction between Piper and the four brother vampires was super hot and I could not make up my mind who I was rooting for as the one she would choose. I enjoyed the story and look forward to future installments of this story.
Ohhh what to say about a book full of hot vampires. The descriptions are so vivid you can see them. Piper, the new maid has everything to lose if the job with her hot new bosses doesn’t work out. This is the last job the temp agency is sending her on. Going in, she has no idea who or what her bosses are, other than hot and sexy and of course the center of a lot of hot, wet dreams. They don’t call her clumsy for no reason, on her first day, she breaks a very expensive vase, one that she wouldn’t be able to pay for over many lifetimes. She manages to keep her cool and her job but what will it cost her? I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes funny, sexy stories, that happen to have vampires in them.
I loved the story line and how well these characters worked together. When I had first read about this book I had thought it sounded similar to how the show ‘Ouran High School Host Club’ where it started off with Haruhi started at a new school and had stumble upon this old study hall and broke this expensive vase where she had to work for the host club to pay off her debt.
I thought these two were very similar but I love how Bedford made these God-like men Vampires. Piper starts off thinking these people would be old single men who are shut ins. But eventually learns their secret.
I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.

4 of 5 Stars
When Piper who is desperate for a job starts cleaning at a large house for as she thinks them, “a bunch of snobby rich men” she thinks she is finally sorted, she was wrong. Having broken a very expensive vase she thinks she will have to pay them back but soon discovers it’s not money they want from her. Piper discovers that her handsome, mysterious and dangerous employers have a secret and once she knows what it is she finds herself more and more indebted to them.
I thought this was a great paranormal fantasy romance. It’s a reverse harem relationship with vampires, making it an original read. The storyline had me hooked from page one and kept me turning the pages, fully immersed in Piper’s world. I loved Piper, who is a true sassy, original heroine and the chemistry between her and her dangerously handsome bosses sizzled off the page.
A fun read, with an interesting storyline and great characters, I recommend Erin Bedford’s first book in the ‘House of Durand’ series and I look forward to the rest of the series.
Indebted to the Vampire by Erin Bedford a five-star read with bite. This is the first novel in the House of Durant series and shows us what a great series this is going to be. I did waver over this one as at times I was wondering if I would give it three stars, but then it would pull me back in and just make the story great again. Piper was just full of sass and spark, she made me smile and boy did she bring all the boys to the yard. Piper was so clumsy and has this amazing inner dialogue that will make you snort with laughter. I can not wait to sink my teeth into the next one of this series as mmmm these boys just have something a little extra and it’s not priceless vases.
5 stars!!
I love paranormal romance, and this book is so different from any others that I have read before. The characters are perfect, and I really like when each chapter tells me whose point of view the story is from. The chemistry between the characters is definitely there and the story is enticing. There are so many humorous scenarios as well. Piper is sassy and spunky and some of her quips are amusing, but at some points I wish she would just stay quiet for her own good. The six brothers all seem protective over her, knowing she is nothing like any of the other maids they have had before, she is not throwing herself at one or all of them. When their older vampire friend Valentine comes to visit, he takes a liking to Piper and now it seems like shit is about to hit the fan, and that is where we leave off with book one. I was so wrapped up in this story I was surprised when it ended. I can’t wait to read the next book of this series and look forward to seeing what becomes of Piper and which brother she ends up with…
I would highly recommend this book!

Piper is in desperate need of a job. When the temp agency sends her on this one, she’s not too happy to be a maid but takes it anyway. The live in position will help her stop living in her car. Cleaning house for a bunch of stuck up rich folk can’t be that bad, right? Stepping into the mansion was like stepping back in time. A butler even greeted her upon arrival. Unfortunately her clumsiness got the better of her and a Qing Dynasty vase became her victim. Piper becomes indebted to not one but five drop dead gorgeous brothers who will do anything to guard their secrets.
The thing that I liked the best about this book is that it’s a slow burn reverse harem. Piper had multiple fantasies about each throughout the book but nothing really happened. The buildup of anticipation is escalating and book two should be fantastic. Piper is headstrong, stubborn and klutzy. She becomes an interesting challenge to the Durand brothers. Each brother is unique in character, I loved them all. My favourite is probably Antoine. When those two connect, it will be electric. I gobbled up the story and before I knew it, I was finished the book. It ends on a cliffhanger which sucks but now I’m anticipating book two. I need to find out what happens. This is the first book that I have read from this author and I enjoyed her writing. I will definitely be searching for more books from her.
Wow what a good read. If you like stories with vampires this is definately one for you.
Piper has been hired as a house maid. When she arrives she is surprised to find her boss or bosses are six men. Not only that they are 6 of the most attractive sexually appealing men she has ever seen.
Piper starts work and everything goes well until one night she uncovers her bosses secret and then everything makes sense( the not seeing them during the day, red bottles of liquid in the fridge that she assumed was a fitness drink).
Piper is shocked but doesnt leave her job. She learns more about their lives and gets closer to some of the brothers. However her happy existance changes when at a party she meet Valentine and he takes a liking to her.
Even though Antoine said he told Valentine she wasnt for sale, he seems to have other ideas.
The book was left on a cliff edge ending. Will the brothers fight to keep her or will Valentine get his way. I cant wait to read the next book and find out.
Indebted to the Vampires (The House of Durand Book 1) by Erin Bedford. This is a fun, snarky read. Its the story of Piper who has lost her cushy job and is living in her car. She is on the last job interview with the temp agency so she has to make a good impression and boy does she. While at the interview she breaks a priceless vase. How can her life get any worse. She takes the job of being a maid to 6 hunky brothers but she doesn’t know that these hunky brothers are VAMPIRES! Piper is snarky, sarcastic and not afraid of anything but these brothers are weird. She is attracted to them all and the sexual tension oozes off the pages. The brothers are determined to keep their secret and they are not afraid to do anything to keep it. Will Piper be able to keep her job and more importantly her life? Read Indebted to the Vampires to find out!
Indebted to the Vampires by Erin Bedford is the first book in the House of Durand series. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I found it to be interesting.
I enjoyed reading about the main character. She was frustrating and imperfect which made her so much better to read about! It felt like she was more real because of this which meant that she was more relatable.
The overall story line was good. It kept you engaged throughout and definitely makes you want to read the next in the series. This was a great introduction to this author and it is a book I’ve thoroughly enjoyed.
Indebted to the Vampires by Erin Bedford is the first book in the House of Durand series, and I for one am really looking forward to reading the rest of the books. Piper is hired as a live-in maid by her temp agency but doesn’t expect to work for 6 mysterious (and very handsome) men. She is quickly put in her place by the master of the house and one of the brothers while the others tease her as often as they can. It is not until their secrets come out; can Piper really get to know them. This is a slow burn romance novel, but I really enjoyed it, really looking forward to finishing the rest of the series.

Indebted to the Vampires (The House of Durand Book 1) by Erin Bedford
Let me start off by saying I was very intrigued by the title and found myself very eager to read. This isn’t your typical Vampire Romance and I truly enjoyed reading it. I’m a huge fan of Erin Bedford’s books and this one was a wonderful start to a new series. Piper needed a job and was very willing to do any job the temp agency offered. They assigned her to clean the house for a bunch of rich men . She questioned herself whether or not it was worth it but changed her mind when she breaks an expensive vase. She has no choice but to keep the job now. There is definitely a attraction between her and the brothers. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read Book. I’m eagerly waiting get my hands on the next book in this series.
Indebted to the Vampire by Erin Bedford is beautifully written. I loved the attention to detail and the characters. This book is full of steamy scenes, and is a definite page turner. I look forward to reading more of the series and more by Erin Bedford. A must read for anyone interested in vampires, especially hot ones!
Erin Bedford is a new author to me. I love her writing style. It is full of details and characters that make the story come alive. The subject is about vampires. Piper works for a temp agency and is a maid. There is a secret among the people she works for and with, and she is trying to figure out how to keep her job. This book is not only a romance story, but a mystery as well. I recommend this story. Erin Bedford has made this story come to life in my mind while I was reading. There is a little bit of a cliffhanger but it keeps you on your toes and makes you want to read book 2 in the process.

5-Stars
Indebted to the Vampires (The House of Durand Book 1) by Erin Bedford was an addictive read. I seriously could not put this book down. First off, I love the name Piper, and felt it best fit this unique character. She was spunky, brave, and a klutz. Definitely my kind of person. Second, I loved the guys of the house. Each male was hot and unique as well. I loved that not only did they have the basic vampiric abilities but they also had their own special traits. I had a hard time picking a favorite of them but Rayne and Wynn are my top. This book was amazing and I loved being pulled in easily. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
What a read! Indebted to the Vampires Is my first read by Erin R. Bedford and after reading this I can’t wait to get my hands on the other books in the series.
I loved the characters that this author has created each of them stand out and you can’t help but be intrigued by the 6 gorgeous leading men! Piper was everything and more I love that she stood up for herself and always said what she wanted to say, she was witty, funny a bit clumsy but most of all she was herself and with that came the connections she made with the men. We can’t forget to mention Darren, while in the beginning, I was unsure of him, in the end, I think he is exactly the right person to kind of help Piper navigate this world that she finds herself in the middle of!
This was a brilliant captivating storyline from the start until the very end. It’s a mentally visual read which made it even more impossible to put down the read. I couldn’t get enough of the chemistry whether sexual, flirtatious, frustration and anger that came from the connections these characters made with each other, It was as though she has always known them! I loved that it was written in multiple POV’s as it really gave you a better insight into each character and their thoughts and real feelings.
My only issue was that ending! How could it end like that I can only imagine how book 2 will go! I have a feeling we are going to be in for another epic journey of suspense, action, sexiness and total brilliance of Piper!
I cannot wait!
I highly recommend this read!
Indebted to the Vampires (House of Durand Book 1) by Erin Bedford is not only a paranormal romance story it is also a reverse harem fantasy. There are lots of vampire stories out there and it still amazes me that authors can come up with something different but that is exactly what Erin has done. The story is fun and entertaining and the characters were well developed individuals and with so many they each had their own quirks, crazy and flaws but that is what made the story. It is easy to read but it does need some revision done on the editing which slowed down the flow. I hated where it ended, it was just getting good and can’t wait for the next one.
