Perfect five!
Its never get old saying how I love Pam’s writing. She can pull the unexpected, sexy, swoony, heart-breaking, angst and super hot in one amazing story.
One thing about Incentive that caught me off guard at first was Decker. The fact that a guy is the one who was push to the corner, force to swallow his pride and take the short road in Infidelity. I love how his manly pride got tested again and again and again and he keep standing tall. But when it comes to the woman he love, the only woman he need in his live tk be happy, the only woman he know he would have no boundary what so ever…. He give up his pride. In that moment, I got bit teary while
still lusting Decker
And Laynee. This woman… She gone through a lot in life, love and career. She is that ice Queen for the public. But to see her vulnerability, ita heart-breaking and Inspiring at the same time. I love their chemistry. I love how brave she is facing her demons.
Over all, with every book she write, I love Pam’s writing! She can even rewrite the yellow pages and I would love them the same
I knew instantly I’d like this book. Decker demands your attention and even though
she tries to fight the chemistry, it’s palpable. What a great couple and even better
HEA!
First, I was unaware going in that Incentive plays off of the Infidelity series by Aretha Romig, which I have not read. So….with that being said, I am definitely going to be reading it after reading Pam Godwin’s Incentive!!!
Incentive is definitely a stand alone that can be throughly enjoyed without reading the Infidelity Series.
I loved Decker and Laynee! I loved the enemies to lovers vibe even though them being together was a pre-arranged agreement. Laynee is struggling with her own personal traumatic triggers that kept her from letting herself feel. Decker is ladies man, that easily reads Laynee and works to break her barriers. Together they are a slow burn that grows into a beautiful HEA.
Pam as always leaving me with characters I always love and this book didn’t fail. I really enjoyed the book and I always have such a hard time moving on after I read one of her books!
Pam Godwin has become my go to author for books that grab me from the first page and never let me go. Incentive did just that also. A Hot, alpha, dominant, caring man is all wrapped up in Decker. Laynee is beautiful, on her own independent, strong willed, and somewhat gullible. When the two get together the steamy scenes burn up the pages and left me fanning myself they were so HOT!!!!!!!! This story was so well written. Characters relate so well together. Plot was exciting. Pam Godwin knocked it out of the park with this book!
Love is found in the most unconventional places and when you least expect. It’s not always the reason we get into relationship, but it is the incentive that keeps us there.
Decker is the man we all fantasize about. Handsome, strong, determined and no body’s pushover. Situations that have occurred put him a position that is not conducive to who he is. But life sometimes gives us lemons.
Laynee is a woman we all know. Broken, afraid and determine not to face her demons, but instead sugarcoat them. Her coping mechanism has been to shut off the truth about herself and hide behind walls of regret.
Yet, through an unusual manner, these two broken souls come together. They start to heal each other, to force the other to deal with the fear, hurt and pain the past has placed in their lives.
I found this book to be funny, heartwarming, sexy and realistic. I did not want to see this couple’s story come to an end.
Loved this book for a few reasons. First, who doesn’t love a steamy hot dominant male? This book has Decker and he checks all the boxes. Second. This book has a leading female character who isn’t a helpless victim. Laynee suffered from tragedy in her past, but she wasn’t a damsel in distress. She was a strong woman who is a fighter. Lastly, this book tackles the issue if domestic violence. Laynee, although a fictional character, is a great representation of finding that inner strength, for all of us, to wear our scars proudly – no matter how we got them. Truly a great story!
This is a really excellent read. I loved Decker and Laynee. These are both flawed individuals, they both have painful pasts and carry the baggage to prove it. The chemistry between these two is untense and steamy. It was truly a pleasure to see both these characters open up to one another, to watch them move beyond the pain of their pasts and fall in love. It has an engaging, well written storyline that offers plenty of depth and serves as a strong background for the characters. Just wonderful!
Laynee is an actress trying to move on with life after a bitter divorce. She doesn’t want a “relationship” with another man who will just use her fame for his own benefit. Been there, done that. Laynee requested a “companion” through Infidelity. Specifically, she wants a…
“Submissive man who won’t walk all over me.”
Life’s been tough to Decker Gabrielli after his partner and former best friend did unspeakable things that result in the closing of their business. When a friend mentioned about Infidelity and its perks, Decker has some apprehension about being paired with someone he has no idea who, but the offer is so tempting that he forego all doubts and go for it.
When they saw each other for the first time. Laynee didn’t get what she requested and Decker, just too star struck that left him speechless. Stuck with each other for a year, Decker and Laynee must learn to trust each other.
How this kind of relationship will work out between these two is what makes me spent an ample amount of time reading this book and I didn’t stop until I reached the end. I like how the chemistry between Decker and Laynee slowly but surely developed. But after the contract is over, what will happen? Will they still be together? Or will they part ways as the one-year contract expires?
Pam Godwin wrote another brilliant story under Infidelity World created by (another amazing author) Aleatha Romig. The plot, the characters are well-defined and the sexy scene true to Pam’s style, it’s hot. If you haven’t read a book by this author, I highly recommend this one
Every time I read a book by this authour, I’m convinced that this is my favourite book ever. Yet, everytime the next book comes, the bar is raised and my expectations are overwhelmed again. This book is no exception. I was giddy with happiness when I won a copy, because, not being in the US, I wouldn’t be able to read it otherwise. The Kindle Worlds is only there, and having read this, I am even more sad about that – this world is where I want to wallow
I didn’t read the blurb before starting this book, but Decker had me hooked from the beginning. So dark, alpha, hot and sexy, and that was when he really wasn’t doing anything but existing. He dominates this book, and in such a good way. He isn’t overpowering, just powerful, in his presence and actions, and you can’t turn away once you start. Warning you all, you won’t be able to turn away, so expect to read this in one sitting, and manage your time accordingly
There was so much bad that happened to our main characters before we meet them. The emotions bubbled over when I least expected them, but they were raw and real. They seep into the story and they aren’t where, or what you expect, and that makes them even more powerful.
In the end, these are two people who deserved happiness because their intentions were always good, yet, life was cruel to them. The ending they get is more the sweeter because of who they are, more than, what they become. They stay true to themselves, and face the world, and that forges them together even more
This is one of those rare books, there was nothing, absolutely nothing, that I didn’t like, in this story. I loved every moment, and savoured it for days afterwards
