One novel… than one, which would be totally inappropriate. —Isla Roe.
…two love stories.
Shock can be good or bad. It can be a good shock to discover you’re going to be a father at eighteen. This isn’t that kind of shock. This is bad. Several weeks after she was supposed to return home, one justifiably infuriated father makes his way to northern Washington. That would be me. Checking in at Cedar Inn, I think of ways to confront Jack and Isla—until I spot a familiar face from my childhood on the other side of the desk. But it can’t be her, can it? My God, she’s beautiful. I wonder how she’d react if she knew I’ve written a book about her. —Aiden Roe.

Another great read from Cara Dee!!!
„Inappropriately Yours“ is book 4 in Cara Dee´s „Camassia Cove“ universe.
This is the story of Aiden Roe and his daughter Isla.
What happens when your daughter visits your best friend of over twenty years in a lovely little town in northern Washington to get her first book edited by him, and instead of only working on her writing, they fall in love at first sight.
What was meant to be a visit just for a weekend, gets longer and longer and Isla stays with Jack for almost two months.
Now, it is Aiden´s turn. Suspecting what is going on between his daughter and his friend, he travels from LA to Camassia Cove, determined to confront both Isla and Jack. What he doesn´t expect at all, is to find someone from his childhood.
The girl, which inspired him to write his first bestselling book.
And to find love again.
„The awkward boy in the book is me. Gypsy Girl was a fearless little girl who lived across from me in Shreveport, Louisiana. When I didn´t have the courage to introduce myself, I started imagining what it would be like to have her as a friend. Thirty-two years later, I was given a second chance. I had the courage to say hello this time.“
I do admit, Isla´s and Jack´s story is not a favorite of mine. I just could not get their chemistry or even growing feelings. Isla jumps Jack at the first opportunity, well knowing the struggle and remorse she´s causing for Jack.
BUT: When Aiden meets Chloe. Yesss. There is the chemistry. Sparks fly. Hearts beats faster. Both cannot resist long their growing attraction.
What a beautiful, sweet lovestory. A little bit too fast (and the story a little bit too short) but so adorable

To understand the following books, which are all connected somehow and a lot of characters cross over several books, it is recommended to read the previous books according to the timeline you can find on Cara Dee´s homepage.
Love this book! I really enjoyed that you get two complete love stories of two different couples in one book. Great story line that is well developed with wonderful characters.
This book had me hooked from the first page. Once I started I had to finish. I truly can’t decide which part was my favorite one or two. I feel like this book was like two novellas put together into one book. Two amazing novellas that is. Isla goes too Jack which is her dad’s bff in order to get help with writing skills and in the end she gets so much more in the form of a May/December Romance. Oh my I love their story so much. they are off the charts hot and too funny together and all you want from them is more more more. Even with their age difference they are perfect together. Jack is not big on the romance dept but Isla he just can’t seem to resist the pull he has toward her even though he tries because she is his bff’s daughter and that’s a no no right….right, but in the end love is love.
Aiden goes to Camassia in or to get the truth and his best friend and daughter and he is not happy about it. Once in Camassia he runs into someone he never expected to see ever again the muse for his first novel Gypsy Girl, and she runs the inn where he is staying. Chloe has 4 boys is a single moms and runs the inn in Camassia and is need of fun and dirty!! I really enjoyed this book but I just wish there was more I’m not a big fan of novellas and like I said before that’s what I feel this was, but it was still a great book that will hook you from start to finish. These characters will pull you in and won’t let go. I absolutely can’t wait to hear from the brothers and sons!!
This was a pretty good two short stories connected book. It was amusing with some very hot scenes.
There were some parts that I didn’t enjoy. I’m not an instalove type of girl to be fair. Those who are will love the combination between that and hot scenes. The instalove knocked it off half a star for me. However, I will say that because they are short stories I can understand going that route which is why only half a star versus a star deduction.
The storylines I felt were solid outside of instalove. I enjoyed the small amount of tension between the main characters in the first story (Jack and Isla). The story between Aiden and Chloe was cute but not overwhelming sweet–more endearing than anything, which I appreciated. With the fact they were short stories I think Cara Dee did a good job of adding an actual storyline versus just instalove and hot scenes. That is the main reason I’m giving 4 stars.
Character development was pretty good with the short space the author utilized but not to the level I expect for most short stories. That resulted in final half star deduction. I did love the world building more than character development. It really sold the town more and added some excellent brush strokes the picture.
4 stars. I’d recommend it mainly to those who are reading the Camassia Cove series. While everything is a standalone in the series seeing other characters pop up is always great!
