A new, sexy standalone novel from #1 New York Times Bestseller, Vi Keeland.
Terminated for inappropriate behavior.
I couldn’t believe the letter in my hands.
Nine years. Nine damn years I’d worked my butt off for one of the largest companies in America, and I was fired with a form letter when I returned home from a week in Aruba.
All because of a video taken when I was on vacation with my … because of a video taken when I was on vacation with my friends—a private video made on my private time. Or so I thought…
Pissed off, I cracked open a bottle of wine and wrote my own letter to the gazillionaire CEO telling him what I thought of his company and its practices.
I didn’t think he’d actually respond.
I certainly never thought I’d suddenly become pen pals with the rich jerk.
Eventually, he realized I’d been wronged and made sure I got my job back.
Only…it wasn’t the only thing Grant Lexington wanted to do for me.
But there was no way I was getting involved with my boss’s boss’s boss. Even if he was ridiculously gorgeous, confident, and charming.
It would be completely wrong, inappropriate even.
Sort of like the video that got me into trouble to begin with.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
But sometimes it’s twice as fun.

I have learned from reading Vi Keeland’s books to just one click because anything and everything she writes is epic. Inappropriate is epic. I love that she turns hatred into lust and bad history into a future to look forward to. This book has everything a reader wants, a betrayal so deep there’s no coming back from it, an attraction so strong you actually feel the love and devotion, a future that is just out of reach. There are laugh out loud moments and cry me a river moments. Inappropriate is a book you will savor and remember.
Vi Keeland is one of my all time favorite authors. This book was amazing it was funny, and filled with angst. Inappropriate is filled with twist and turns, it’s told beautifully, it will make you laugh and cry but you won’t regret reading this incredible story.
This was a story that I did not see coming, I had to keep reading to find out what was going with Ireland Saint James (love their names) and Grant Lexington. Inappropriate is so different, you will not be able to stop reading.
It’s probably been about 2 years since I’ve read a Vi Keeland book. Now I’m wondering why! What took me so long to dive back into her words?? Because I’ve loved everything that she’s written and Inappropriate is no different!!
Grant is the sexy CEO of his family business and meets Ireland after she sends an outraged, drunk email to him complaining that she unfairly lost her job (she was working within his company). After a few back and forth emails he just couldn’t get her off his mind. As luck would have it he gets the chance to meet the fireball in person and sparks immediately flew. Though, their journey is a difficult one, it is worth it in the end.
I highly, highly recommend Inappropriate to absolutely anyone because this book is just that good!
I loved it from the first page, he chemistry, banter and feelings from these two will keep you gripped to every page. This was a great book with all the feels and told in a way that the reader has come to know and love from Vi Keeland’s writing. Definitely recommend this book. She has a way of writing her stories and characters that grabs the reader from the first page and makes lose all time of day. You forget to eat, sleep or remember you have a family.
Great book from Vi. Pick up immediately!
A stunning tale of heartbreak and second chances. This book left me breathless. It is a stunningly beautiful story of love, loss and how second chances are not a given. This story flows effortlessly and handles difficult subjects and broken hearts with grace and dignity. It sweeps you away and let’s you experience the story with them as it unfolds.
But… can I give one milion starts more ???? This book was INAPPROPRIATE PERFECTION and for sure Vi Keeland at the finest !!!
I love to read books from my favorite authors… I’m always sure that I should read good book BUT ! Vi is this author who always leaving me amazed… with my dearest friend – bookhangover.
Inappropriate captivated my heart from the first paiges. I couldn’t put down this amazing story till I saw “the end” in front of my eyes.
Vi Keeland is a true storyteller, who mix perfectly every kind of romanic themes in one not-that-simple-book… Inapprioprate has slow burn between Irleeand and Grant but… but I loved that they were funny and sarcastic WITH tons of emotional mess to manage. I was crying, just to laugh hard few seconds later. This book is absolutely must read not only for Vi’s fans but for every reader. Highly recomended title !
I fired her.
Then asked her out.
Probably not the smartest order to do things.
Love this! A steamy, emotional, and entertaining new office romance from Vi Keeland!
Inappropriate by Vi Keeland is a fantastic standalone comprised of all the elements of a great and emotional story I have come to expect from her. Surface level fun and laughs, mid level romance and steam and heat, and deep level emotional angst. This story of a woman wrongly fired and falling for her boss could just be a sexy romance, but the amazing Vi Keeland always has a deeper story to tell. Grant’s painful past is slowly revealed to us a morsel at a time and Ireland is just awesome. She is a fighter that sticks up for herself even when the outlook is bleak, she still defends herself and is respectful (wish) about it. Her interactions with Grant continue to humanize him, taking him from ruthless CEO to beautiful tragic man with a heart of gold. Enjoy!
The first part of this story, I was hooked on the snarky banter and sexual tension between Ireland and Grant. Honestly, she gets herself into some crazy situations. Then you see a love story starting to develop and watching the characters come to the realization that there is more here. I love how during all of this, the past is being woven in with the present so that we get the whole picture of Grant. When I thought the story was going to lean one way, it went another to keep me guessing. Meanwhile, I am just smiling and enjoying the ride. This book was an absolute experience.
Such an emotional read and I loved every second of it. This one had me hooked from the very beginning and did not let go until the very end, I didn’t want this one to end. I really loved the honesty of both characters and there seemed to be nothing neither one would say. I loved Ireland’s gumption and the way she told it straight. I loved that Grant seemed to be a butt head but lovable all the same. I loved the banter between them. I just loved this story and couldn’t get enough.
Inappropriate is a beautiful heartbreaking story of love, loss, strength, and forgiveness.
My heart broke for both Ireland and Grant. Both have dealt with loss and tragedy and carry the pain with them daily. They have survived and did their best to overcome, but will they be able to open their hearts up and let love in.
Grant’s story was so painful, tragic and gut wrenching. He can’t move past the worst night of his life and carries the hurt, pain and guilt with him. For the past seven years he chooses to relive his nightmare everyday and closes himself off from finding love again. Ireland is smart, witty and full of sass. She is independent and worked hard to land her dream job. When Ireland is wrongfully terminated, she doesn’t plan on leaving without a fight. One drunken email later, she has the attention of the CEO, Grant Lexington. Grant can’t get the stunning and fiery newscaster out of his head and can’t help but get to know her outside of the office. Grant and Ireland realize their relationship is inappropriate and try to take things slowly. They can’t deny their feelings for each other and their relationship heats up quickly. When the unexpected happens, Grant isn’t sure he is able to open his heart and accept everything that Ireland is offering. He is scared and not sure if he can make room in his heart for true love. Loved the ending.
Yet another great read from Vi Keeland! I was pulled in to this story and could not put it down. I loved the way Keeland brought Grant and Ireland together. We get insight into Grant’s past throughout the book that shows you who he really is. I just loved this couple.
I was provided an advanced reader copy and voluntarily gave an honest review.
Another amazing book by Vi Keeland, this book was so cute and perfect. Ireland is someone you would love to be friends with. I loved her so much. She was wild in a very sweet way. Grant was AMAZING, I loved him so much and I just wanted to hug him from the starts.
Grant and Ireland teach each other how to forgive, trust, how to love, and how to live. I loved the chemistry between these two, I loved how Grant and Ireland fought their feelings but ended up going for it. This book was so much more than I expected, I was smiling and giggling like a crazy person in the am wanting more from these two. This story has my heart, every book that Vi writes is epic, this one did not disappoint at all. This is a must read, I think this has to be my favorite Vi Keeland book yet.
As always Vi Keeland knocks it out of the park! I had a very hard time putting it down so I pretty much read it in one setting. This story is unique and fresh and I LOVED it. Grant and Ireland are fun and flirty and have so much chemistry even as they try to avoid the cliched boss-employee relationship. The story flows so easily that the heartbreaking reason Grant is the way he is with romantic relationships almost seems to blindside you and it hits you with all the feels. The dirty talking Grant doesn’t want to put his heart out there again because it’s just too painful but then he gets a drunken email from a disgruntled ex-employee and his life is forever changed. Ireland is strong, independent, take no shit girl that just can’t seem to stay away the bad for her boys. She thinks that Grant is just another player who only wants one thing from her.
This is a must read from Vi Keeland, as are all of her books and it always feels like each successive book is better than the last.
*** I was provided with an ARC and this is my honest opinion***
“Trust me, I tried as hard as I could. I’m done fighting it. I want to love you.”
Gahhh this book was just the BEST.FREAKING.STORY.EVER!!!!
I know I say this every single time I read a Vi Keeland story but this is without a doubt my favourite one to date.
It all starts with a video being seen by someone at Ireland’s work with her being on a nudist beach being topless and with her working it TV it doesnt ‘look good’. She ends up getting fired.
Fueled by alcohol she sends a drunken email to the CEO of the company because she feels like she shouldnt be fired for something so silly. Plus she was on a holiday with friends for her besties bachelorette party.
The emails between Ireland and Grant are hilarious.
I freaking LOVE Grant so damn much. When you find out what he went through and why he put up a wall.. *sobs uncontrollably and ugly cries* I was so damn heartbroken for him.
As I was getting to the last few chapter and we got to a good part I was fist pumping the air and then I was going ‘Oh FFS Grant nooo dont you do this’ and then I was going aww that’s so sweet.
I laughed so much because the banter between Grant & Ireland was brilliant, I cried sad tears then happy and swooned ohhh so much.
BEST.BOOK.TO.DATE.VI xx
Imagine a piece of huge baggage, the one you’d take on a 30-day-long trip to Paris – it will never be bigger than the emotional one Grant Lexington is carrying.
He has a troubled past and doesn’t want a relationship.
Everything changes when he meets the beautiful and sassy reporter Ireland Saint James.
She challenges him with her smart mouth and witty remarks and slowly makes her way to his heart. Grant is still anchored to his past, though, and doesn’t know how to forgive himself for a mistake he didn’t even make.
The only way to move on is to open up to Ireland and let her love him, but an unexpected event changes it all…
I’m madly, deeply in love with this book – Grant is so sweet and thoughtful and just thinking about what he’s been through makes my eyes water.
I adored the chemistry between these two – even though their relationship is inappropriate they can’t help themselves.
Let’s be honest… How could Ireland behave?
Grant is so HOT.
By the way, have you seen that hot piece of meat on the cover?
I don’t know how she does it, but Vi’s books always have the hottest guy on the covers.
Full review on my blog
I loved this book so much! My heart broke for our hero but I knew in true Vi Keeland fashion she would break and it put it back together.
Ireland loves her job and is good at what she does. After returning home from a vacation she learns she been fired. She didn’t do anything wrong and has no problem letting the CEO of the company know.
Grant is the CEO of the company whose past made him grateful for everything he has. When Grant and Ireland meet the chemistry is there and they are both trying to keep away. They are so sweet together. I absolutely loved Grant.
This is one of my favorite books by this author. If you’re looking for a fast-paced romance full of feels this is it. I will be reading this book again soon.
I thought that Vi Keeland wrote one of my favorite books a while ago but I was wrong…this book… I just can’t say enough about it. Don’t get me wrong I haven’t found one that I didn’t like but this couples story will touch places in your heart. It is one that will stay with you. Not only does it start out with some funny moments, crazy chemistry between Ireland and Grant but the turns that this story takes, the heartaches from their pasts and the curve balls life still throws is stuff that will keep you flipping the pages and falling in love with the story.
Vi did such a great job with this story and it has earned its spot on my most favorite reads for sure. Definitely a story you don’t want to miss.
Great book!
I enjoyed this quite a bit, it kept me entertained from start to finish. Truth be told, Vi Keeland is an exceptional writer.
She knows how to get you hooked with one sentence.
This book started off strong with a seriously hilarious meet-cute. The premise of this book and how things were set up were very interesting. The title of the book didn’t really carry throughout the story but it didn’t bother me.
I liked Ireland’s character; she’s strong, a go-getter and a little bit of sarcastic (which I can appreciate). I love a character that doesn’t hold back and she wasn’t going to let this hero get whatever he wanted without a challenge.
Our hero – Grant – is one charming fella. I liked him immediately and even more with every chapter.
These two hit it off and it’s undeniable the chemistry they shared.
Though with the past that Grant has haunting him in the present, it makes for more than a rocky road for their relationship.
On paper these two are perfect for each other. I’m not sure what was missing for me but there was an absence of something. Maybe it was the conflict in the story.
It’s hard for me to express because I think the author did an impeccable job representing the heavy and devastating impact of mental illness. And in this story, there was no holding back. It was quite dark and if I’m being honestly didn’t really mesh with the vibe of the story for me.
That being said, I think this story is one worth reading. The writing was as good as ever and the story flowed very well. I didn’t want to stop reading.
Another great entertaining read from the author.
