A new, sexy standalone novel from #1 New York Times Bestseller, Vi Keeland.
Terminated for inappropriate behavior.
I couldn’t believe the letter in my hands.
Nine years. Nine damn years I’d worked my butt off for one of the largest companies in America, and I was fired with a form letter when I returned home from a week in Aruba.
All because of a video taken when I was on vacation with my … because of a video taken when I was on vacation with my friends—a private video made on my private time. Or so I thought…
Pissed off, I cracked open a bottle of wine and wrote my own letter to the gazillionaire CEO telling him what I thought of his company and its practices.
I didn’t think he’d actually respond.
I certainly never thought I’d suddenly become pen pals with the rich jerk.
Eventually, he realized I’d been wronged and made sure I got my job back.
Only…it wasn’t the only thing Grant Lexington wanted to do for me.
But there was no way I was getting involved with my boss’s boss’s boss. Even if he was ridiculously gorgeous, confident, and charming.
It would be completely wrong, inappropriate even.
Sort of like the video that got me into trouble to begin with.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
But sometimes it’s twice as fun.

I fired her.
Then asked her out.
Probably not the smartest order to do things.
OMG I love it!! Angsty office romances are the best! What are you waiting for? Go read it!
When Vi Keeland does angsty office romance, she does it like no other. I love all her words!
Inappropriate by Vi Keeland is a comical story of Ireland a newscaster who while on vacation gets fired over an inappropriate video that was posted. Upset that after nine years of loyal service she is fired over something that happened on vacation. While drunk she sends an email to the CEO of the company. This is the beginning of the journey between Ireland and Grant. Grant is serious about his job and doesn’t have time for a relationship but when he meets the firecracker Ireland after reading her email, he is instantly smitten. This story had me laughing from the start of this book to the end. I loved the characters especially the interaction between Ireland and Grant. Grant of course is the ultimate alpha male that has every women’s mouth watering. I enjoy reading whatever this author writes. I was not disappointed with this story at all. As Grant digs more into how Ireland was fired, the more Grant is falling for her. His task in itself make for a good story along with them falling for each other. 4.5 stars for me.
Vi Keeland unlocked emotions that sent riptides of effects that spiraled throughout my body, making sure it stopped at my heart leaving imprints as I turned page after page.
Nothing beats the only and loudest sound in the room as your heart races while you get lost in this book and you’re left speechless.
“No rain. No flowers.”

Ireland was just fired from her TV News job because of some stupid private video one of her friends posted on her private social media account!
All enraged and angry – and drunk – she sends an email to her boss’s boss’s boss to tell him what a horrible company he’s running.
Grant – said über-boss – is very amused by that email.
And he’s very intrigued and interested once he meets Ireland …..
Let the fun times begin!
ADORABLE!
First of all – even though it kinda goes without saying by now with Vi and Pen’s books. THE COVER! YummY!
And the story. Just sweet!
I loved it!
It was funny and cute and flirty and sparky.
It was the perfect little romance – it wasn’t anything mega-special, it wasn’t anything surprisingly new and exciting and plot-twisty. But we love those cute romances! And there definitely was some mystery and some very heartbreaking stuff in here too. And of course we get the expected Vi thing – like in every book.
And it was a bit slow in the middle.
But … I really loved reading it!
I really liked Grant and Ireland and Grandpa and Mia and all the people. I even cried a lot in those heartbreaking moments!
I wouldn’t mind seeing this on Netflix one day!
INAPPROPRIATE was a sweet and funny and heartbreaking love story! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Grant – this one is MINE!!!!
The story of Grant and Ireland reaches beyond workplace chemistry. There are many layers of what could be deemed inappropriate; it doesn’t hurt that the author speaks fluent legalese and the lines are much easier to see. There are many layers of emotion. Flirtation, attraction, butterflies, magnetic connection, walls of defense weakened, secrets unfold. I laughed a lot; I smiled at bare feet; I felt teary at certain intersections of love and life. Favorite sentiment? No rain. No flowers. Loved it. <3
OK I give up …. And by that I mean that from now on I’ll not only add the writing duo “Ward/Keeland” to my 1Click list but also Vi Keeland on her own. I am one lucky Girl being able to read “Inappropriate” this early and what can I say? Except … “GO BUY THAT BOOK” – ?
Well I can say that it was easy to get lost in that book … the thing is – I knew I was going to love the writing style but the question mark is always on the subject of the book itself. And this one is one of the deeper ones which I did not expect when reading the blurb … but after a few chapters I had a certain feeling …. Sometimes you simply KNOW.
The difficulty is how to write something without giving away anything. What I can tell you is that this book is a prime example for when a reader will fall in love with a fictional character. Because while there was a lot of banter, great chemistry, a solid backstory and a really hot male lead – there is also the same amount of depth and emotion.
Everything you need for a rainy day read.
Vi Keeland has delivered another outstanding, sexy and emotional gripping book that knocked me off my feet. Inappropriate is absolutely EVERYTHING and without a doubt, my favorite Vi Keeland book. Grant and Ireland seriously melted my heart, their connection was amazing and their witty and hysterical banter was perfect. I was highly addicted to them from beginning to end.
Inappropriate’s plot was concise, engaging and so much more than I expected. If you are looking for a highly gratifying read, then this is definitely the book for you.
I loved Grant and Ireland’s story.
There were a lot of fun, light moments to start out. The banter between the two MC’s was great. There were some more serious moments later in the book, which I wasn’t expecting after the humor in the first few chapters, but I loved the way their story unraveled.
I give Inappropriate by Vi Keelan
Oh my gosh.
this book hit me in the heart.
Ireland and Grant’s story is emotional, funny, sweet and romantic.
Vi Keeland’s words played with all my emotions and they always captivate from the very start until the end.
Their relationship doesn’t get off to a great start but they soon fix that and get to know eachother falling in love. But Grant has a past,a tragic past that burdens him everyday and as he unexpectedly falls in love with the woman that intitially sent him hate mail. The ghosts from his past could put the biggest wedge between them.
This is just brilliant,a wonderful book.
I highly recommend it.

So.. this is a tough one for me to review. The story line is interesting, but for me, there was just something.. off. I just didn’t buy into the chemistry between these two. I felt the conversations between them were just… cut and dried. The parts where Ireland was supposed to come off amusing fell flat for me and I just didn’t buy into Grant’s insta-lust/love for Ireland.
In the beginning, we got hints of Ireland’s background, and we learned that she won’t sleep in the dark, but it’s never taken any deeper or even alluded to later in the story. Ireland reveals facts about her background, but not how affected she was by them. I don’t think Grant ever even found out she slept with the lights on. And I wasn’t a fan of the Grant flashback story, although I will say that I felt his connection to Lily from start to finish much more/better than his connection to Ireland.
It felt to me that the scenes they were in were rather glossed over, that the characters were moving through the scenes but not actually a part of them. For example, at Mia’s wedding rehearsal, I didn’t feel as if Grant and Ireland actually participated, they just happened to be there and their relationship was more important than where they were and what Ireland should have been paying attention to. I felt this all throughout the book.
Overall, I think this book just wasn’t for me.
Listened to the audiobook.
I love books written by Vi Keeland and this too didn’t disappoint.
It’s full of laughter from the beginning on. But there are also really serious parts, especially when we get to know Grant’s past.
If you love to read a well written boss-romance, I can def. recommend this book.
The narrators Andi and Sebastian bring the characters to life and did an amazing job.
I have read many of Vi Keeland’s books and all have been fantastic. This was a fun read.
This book was nothing like I expected and to say I wasn’t prepared is putting it mildly.

Going into this book, I was prepared for a boss / employee relationship with some giggles. What I got was a complex story of loss, heartbreak, and pain that broke my heart, made me cry, and I am still wondering what in the world happened.
Inappropriate starts out with a drunken mishap that leads to Ireland losing her job and then firing off a drunk email to her boss’s boss’s boss. Oh goodness, things are off to a great start. Of course, Grant the stuffy CEO takes interest in this strong, sassy woman with a snarky side. She stirs something in him that has long been buried under a mountain of pain and guilt. Eventually, the two come to an agreement and Ireland gets her job back, and then the flirting begins as does the witty banter.
It was about 30% into the book when Grant’s first flashback happened, and I knew then things were going to be bad…I just had no idea how bad they would get.
This book ripped my heart to shreds and good heavens, I was not prepared for Grant’s history at all. I was gutted and from 30% on, the book took turns towards a deeper more emotional dark side. When I finally got to the big reveal, my heart was in tatters, I was crying, and I needed a HEA.
If you are looking for a romcom, this isn’t it. If you are looking for an emotional journey towards forgiveness, healing, and love, this is your book. I love dark books, but I even had a tough time with parts of this book, the emotions were almost too much to bear.
Do I recommend…I say enter cautiously as there is some serious stuff happening in this book. Grant is a wonderfully broken hero that will win your heart and Ireland is just the woman to put him back together. In the book you read “No rain No Flowers” a couple of times and it fits this book perfectly. You have to make it through the rain to get the flowers. Inappropriate was well-written and had many difficult subject matters in it that may be difficult for some.
This story is brilliantly written and left me in awe!!! Vi Keeland is truly a master of her craft!!! This love story is poignant, powerfully raw, very emotional, breathtakingly romantic and incredibly sexy. I fell in love with Grant and Ireland; they are strong characters on their own and together they are simply magical. Their chemistry is electric and their banter was witty and had me laughing often. The connection they share is beyond powerful — true soulmates. To say this story is emotional is an understatement. Their journey together was so beautifully written that I felt every emotion the characters experienced — I laughed, cried so many tears (happy and sad), felt the butterflies, the heart palpitations, the pure joy and every ounce of pain. There were so many inspirational moments that deeply impacted me. This book forever left a mark on my heart and soul! I highly recommend reading this book!
Can’t get enough of Vi Keeland’s writing. There is always a detailed back story with a strong man finding a strong woman. But they each have a past to overcome. Love the way he communicated. When it ends…I feel like it just needs to continue but so so good.
I laughed. I cried. I laughed some more. Quite possibly the best thing Vi Keeland has written. I listened to the audio version and it’s performed by two of my favorite performers.
Shocking!
Vi Keeland is a new author to me and from the cover, title, and first chapter I was ready to settle in for a solid rom-com. Nope. Nope. Nope. This book is a stunning romantic drama, and I devoured every minute! I loved it!
Grant and Ireland are smart adults, with complicated problems. Their start as a light fling turns serious as they fall deeply in love, and encounter seemingly insurmountable issues. I love Grant and Ireland and I loved how they managed their expectations and complications. This is a wonderful book! Bonus points for superb narration!
I’m always surprised by the depth of Keeland’s stories. I read the blurbs, and I expect light, steamy, and funny stories. I do get those three, but also a level of unexpected seriousness with real-life issues. I love the added layer.
I adored the main character, Ireland. She didn’t take crap from anyone and had a personality that was easy to love and admire. Grant was a sexy, confident, and honest. I loved the combination, especially when it mixed with Ireland.
If you love steamy contemporary romances that will make you laugh and tear up, this one’s for you!
Nude on the beach
A video taken on a private beach during a bachelorette party ends up not being so private posted on Instagram. Fired for inappropriate behavior, Ireland doesn’t take it sitting down, exactly. A drunken email to the CEO of the company, then a sober one peaks the curiosity of a man who’s frozen his heart for seven years. Agreeing to keep their relationship slow works for a while, but soon burns out of control. It’s not long before they reach a crossroad and have to make a decision. At times funny, flirty, and sad, but very passionate.
