A new, sexy standalone novel from #1 New York Times Bestseller, Vi Keeland.
Terminated for inappropriate behavior.
I couldn’t believe the letter in my hands.
Nine years. Nine damn years I’d worked my butt off for one of the largest companies in America, and I was fired with a form letter when I returned home from a week in Aruba.
All because of a video taken when I was on vacation with my … because of a video taken when I was on vacation with my friends—a private video made on my private time. Or so I thought…
Pissed off, I cracked open a bottle of wine and wrote my own letter to the gazillionaire CEO telling him what I thought of his company and its practices.
I didn’t think he’d actually respond.
I certainly never thought I’d suddenly become pen pals with the rich jerk.
Eventually, he realized I’d been wronged and made sure I got my job back.
Only…it wasn’t the only thing Grant Lexington wanted to do for me.
But there was no way I was getting involved with my boss’s boss’s boss. Even if he was ridiculously gorgeous, confident, and charming.
It would be completely wrong, inappropriate even.
Sort of like the video that got me into trouble to begin with.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
But sometimes it’s twice as fun.

Incredible office romance as per usual 😉
”I’m so sorry, I had no idea a day at the beach could turn into something like this. It’s all my fault. I was the one who suggested we go to……”
Ohhhh when a book starts off like this, you know you are going to be in for a treat. Haha I fell hard for Inappropriate by Vi Keeland!! She is always a one click author for me. Vi’s books always have me LMAO and make me feel good by the end of the book, even when my life is not so happy at the moment.
”What the heck was Olivia thinking posting on Instagram and tagging all of us?”
Poor Ireland, she just got terminated for “inappropriate behavior” and now she had to figure out how to fix it, but first she has to cool her jets. lol You know how it is, at first you are shocked and sooo upset when you find out you have been terminated, or something was done to you out of your control. Then those feelings turn to rage and you are fighten’ mad and ready to go after who done you wrong..lol
Ok, I am ending my review, go one click on today and find out how Ireland corrected all the wrongs and see what other mess she finds herself in. haha
Another fan-dang-tastic read by Vi for sure and now I will sit impatiently waiting, I mean patiently waiting for her next release!! xoxo
I fired her.
Then asked her out.
Probably not the smartest order to do things.
An angsty forbidden office romance coming at you!!!
Vi is the queen of forbidden office romance! Funny, emotional with enough steam to power a sauna, Inappropriate is a must read!
If you love forbidden office romances, this one’s for you!
I fired her.
Then asked her out.
Probably not the smartest order to do things.
Seriously my favorite book Vi’s ever written. More than an office romance. Sexy, Funny, Super-emotional. This will thrill you and catch you by surprise. This is Vi at her absolute best.
My one-click list of authors is pretty darned short, but Vi Keeland is at the top of that list, and INAPPROPRIATE is a prime example of why. I mean, forbidden office romances are addictive enough as it is, but no one does them like Vi.
A brand new office romance from Vi Keeland! This angsty, forbidden romance will keep you on your toes! Highly recommended.
4.5 STARS!
No rain. No flowers.
Inappropriate by Vi Keeland is a sexy standalone but it’s so much more. It’s heart and it’s raw pain.
The introduction to Ireland Saint James, the heroine, was just FABULOUS!! Here’s this sassy and fun-loving woman who finds out she’s been terminated from her job of nine years because of “inappropriate behavior”. She flashed her boobs while vacationing on a topless beach. It was filmed and somehow it was seen by her boss. Poor Ireland doesn’t take the news well. She decides to drunkingly e-mail the CEO of the company not so nice things and when he emails her back she knows there’s no chance she could save herself from this one.
Grant Lexington is quickly intrigued by Ireland’s ballsy attitude. They write to each other a few times and that’s when he decides to look her up. They meet up by chance at a coffee shop across from the company and its really fate after that.
Ireland and Grant go into an exclusive relationship after some months. I love their banter and their naughty moments! Ireland opens up to Grant about her past and she doesn’t push or overreact when he’s not so quick to share much about his. Getting those chapters from Grant’s past that shed light on why he’s so closed off, just showed how strong and flawed he is. It was humbling, though frustrating at times.
Vi Keeland took the topic of mental health and wrote it so beautifully and respectfully.
Pretty fast-paced and such a breeze to read, Inappropriate was so good you won’t want to stop! Vi knows when to pull you in and shock you. It was a gut-wrenching, sad, and heartbreaking ride. So, prepare your tissues!
ARC received for an honest review
Firstly – I love the cover. I don’t usually even bother with the covers, however I love this duos covers. I mean, there’s some serious arm porn happening at the end of those rolled up sleeves.
You know what you are going to get when you open up a Vi Keeland book. You are going to get a sweet, sexy story with lots of spark and wonderful banter between the leading man and his lady
Grant (ugh, it is so hard to think of a character called Grant as sexy, since it is my baby brother’s name lol) and Ireland have an unusual start to their relationship – gotta say it made laugh out loud as I read it.
You know where the story is going to end up, but that is what I like about Ms Keeland’s books. It is like going to your favourite restaurant and ordering your favourite meal – just the side dishes are different each time
However, there is alway the “things” that always happens in one of her books. I keep my eye out as soon as I start reading, and yep, we got it – again.I just wish that we didn’t have it every. single. book.
Inappropriate was enjoyable, and I look forward to seeing what she brings us next.

Inappropriate is the steamy romance between Ireland Saint James and Grant Lexington. This can technically be considered apart of the boss and Employee Romance trope. Ireland becomes Ireland Richardson at work where she works as an on-air reporter. She went on a holiday trip to a nude beach in the Caribbean with a couple of friends. A video of the girls topless at the beach was taken and posted on Instagram by one of the girls on the trip and she tagged Ireland. Someone from her work got a hold of the video and she was wrongly fired. Why was the termination of her job wrong? Because the video tagged her private personal account instead of her public work account which was not against work guidelines. So like any logical person would do when they get fired, Ireland got drunk and sent the head of the company a sassy, entertaining, and maybe rude email. Surprise! Surprise! Her boss’s boss’s boss just happened to be Grant. Thankfully for her, Grant was not offended by the email but rather amused and intrigued. Ireland is one of my favourite female protagonists. She just radiates badass bitch energy and I am here for it. Grant has definitely made it to my list of fictional men who own my heart. Grant, as all of my favourite main male characters, has a tragic backstory as to why he doesn’t do love or he believes he doesn’t deserve love. Yes, I love broken men. This story is told from both characters’ points of view. In Ireland’s perspective, you see the present where they slowly fall in love but struggles because of Grant’s issues whereas in Grant’s perspective you read his past. It explains how his issues came about so you could get a better understanding of his life and the reasons behind him being guarded when it comes to love. This book is a well-deserved 5 stars.

This book, omg. Well, let’s start by adding Grant Lexington to my list of fictional dream men who are my husbands in another life. Now that that’s done, can someone please let me hug this man? Oh my lord, he has been through so much. I loved the fact that he was adopted. I had a thing for the show ‘The Fosters’. I started watching it and just grew an attachment to the idea of adoption and everything about it. That as well as the fact that my siblings are kinda adopted. I expected to enjoy this book (Duhhh it’s a Vi Keeland book) but I did not expect to enjoy it this much. For some reason Grant reminded me of Miles Archer (the other love of my life from Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover, still trying to get a new paperback if that books and can’t find it anywhere) Spoiler: it may have to do with the fact that they both lost a child, in water as well. I’ll be honest, I took a break from the book. There had been a lot of occasions and I had a lot on my mind so I stopped reading the book. When I started back reading it, I forgot what I had read before. I genuinely have a bad memory, it pisses me off so much sometimes. Anyhow, I started back to read the book at a family gathering. That action has been added to my list of bad decisions. Just as I opened it my older sister and cousin peeked and tried reading what was on my screen. Guess which chapter I stopped at and had now opened on. A FREAKING STEAMY ONE. The fear that circuited through me. Thank God I was fast enough to go back to my home screen. I do not need my overly protective sister to know what I read. I’m getting sidetracked though. This book never disappointed me at all. You know some books are good but there is just this one or two chapters you either lose interest or they just weren’t as good as the others? Yeah, that never happened with this book. There were times that the characters disappointed me by their actions but that has to happen at some point in a book. I love the storyline of this book. Drunk Ireland is a bad bitch. She really told him off. If I happen to do what she did and end up with a lawsuit instead of a husband, I’m blaming Ireland Saint James/ Richardson and Vi Keeland. They were going so well, if it weren’t for those flashback chapters you wouldn’t have known how broken he really was. It has been a while since I actually felt like I was in pain as well, together with a character. I don’t normally have that many emotions so that’s a big deal. I’m either too much or nothing at all. When I started back to read this book I messaged Sam (my best friend who I hoped would run this account with me but she didn’t want too, which is fine, I admire her and love that she trusts me and is comfortable enough with me to tell me when she does want to do something, love you, Sammy). I was telling her about this book and how Grant didn’t want kids. She said she thought she read it already. This bitch then proceeds to tell me she thinks he ended up getting a fucking vasectomy. When I tell you I was shocked and pissed. Now that I read the book out, I’m so happy she was wrong and talking about a different book. I absolutely loved this book. It made me happy and sad at the same time. GRANT IS SUCH A SWEETHEART. He is literally everything I’m looking for in a man…. besides he goes missing for almost 2 weeks part. I’m still kinda mad at him for that. He freaking got her Spuds. Like what the hell. Imagine a man actually remembering that you said you wanted 2 or 3 kids and a golden retriever named Spuds. Then, as an apology, freaking makes it happen. There is also the fact that at the beginning of the book he asked her to lunch and she turned him down and he took that no like how men in real life should. He handled rejection like a champ. Omg, another thing too, I’m still waiting for Mia to tell us what the pastor’s secret is. I would also like to know if the waiter at the almost end of the book had a banana in his pants, just hard, or was carrying a full 9-inch dick. I NEED ANSWERS MISS VI KNEELAND. I’m not gonna take you on the long journey of explaining the book like I did in my last review, I’m just gonna leave it at, if you like a sassy heroine and bossy but sweet and slightly broken hero, then you should give this book a chance.
I also just wanna add in a snippet of the email she wrote him because I absolutely loved it.
“I was under the impression that I had the right to do what I pleased while on my own time. Unlike your silver-spoon ass, I work hard. Therefore, I deserve to blow off some steam once in a while. If that entails getting a little sun on my ta-tas while on a girls-only private vacation, then that’s what I’ll do. I wasn’t breaking any laws. It was a nude beach. I could have gone fully nude, but I just chose to go topless. Because, let’s be real—I have great tits. If you’ve watched the “offending video,” which your uptight human resources director saw fit to provide me on a thumb drive along with a bullshit termination letter, you should consider yourself lucky you got a glimpse of them. You might even consider adding it to your spank bank, perv.
I’ve spent more than nine years working my ass off for you and your stupid company. You can both go to hell.
Bite me,
Ireland Saint James”
OMG I knew this book was going to be amazing from the first few pages. Funny and sexy as hell. Ireland and Grant belong together. You will not be disappointed with this book. Vi Keeland is an amazing writer!
Ireland returns from vacation to receive a termination notice for inappropriate behavior. She’s shocked. Then proceeds to get drunk and write the company CEO to tell him what she thought of the company and its practices. Never did she expect a response back! She certainly never thought she would suddenly become pen pals with him.
Eventually, he realizes she had been wronged and makes sure she gets her job back. Only…it wasn’t the only thing Grant wanted to do for Ireland.
Of course, she second guessed the wisdom of getting involved with her boss’s boss’s boss. Even if he was ridiculously gorgeous, confident, and charming. It would be completely wrong, inappropriate even, right?
I thought this would be a run of the mill office romance. But it was so much more … witty banter, strong heroine, dream worthy hero, and intense chemistry. It has all the feels too. FYI, trigger warning for mental illness, children in the foster care system, and the loss of a loved one. But the deft handling of these heavier topics are what differentiates this book from the average romance and had me so invested in Grant and Ireland.
I highly recommend Inappropriate; it’s my first 5 star read of the year! I suspect that this will be one of my best reads of 2020.
Just all around goodness!
Everything about this was good. The story, the background, the strong characters, flaws and all, the snark, LOL moments, and the heat was beautiful. I didn’t know all the emotions this would hit on.
Excellent Read!
Yes! Another release from one of my fav people! #OneClick

From the first page, I was totally swept up in Ireland and Grant’s romance. I loved how their relationship began with playful, witty banter laced with sexual tension. She always gives her readers a well-written, well-developed witty and sexy story, so it was no surprise that Inappropriate was all of that—and then some. What began as a flirty, teasingly antagonistic relationship grows into so much more.
Wrongfully terminated from her position as an on-air news anchor, I loved Ireland. She was smart, sharp and she was not afraid to give as good as she got. Grant was the CEO of the company Ireland worked for, and while they tried at first to keep things professional, chemistry like theirs was hard to deny. I loved how their relationship began with playful, witty banter laced with sexual tension. Grant was used to women who basically fell at his feet, who knew going in that he wasn’t interested in a relationship. Then he met Ireland, and it was impossible for him not to let her in, and in doing so, for the first time in years, he finds himself wanting more than the casual flings he’s been having.
But Grant has some seriously devastating, absolutely heartbreaking baggage, and Ireland is coming into this relationship guarding the tattered pieces of her own heart. The fact that they were both so deliberate was what I loved most about this couple – while they absolutely were proceeding with caution, the key here was that they were proceeding. Baby steps lead to purposeful strides, a few stumbles and then finally some leaps of faith, and I felt all the feels and sobbed all the tears as I cheered for this couple the whole way through.
Grant and Ireland’s love story was heartwarming, heart-healing and full of all the hope, passion and emotion I hope for from a highly anticipated contemporary romance. I love Vi’s work, I’ve read the overwhelming majority of her books, but this book is a new top favorite of mine from her. Five smooches from me for Inappropriate by Vi Keeland!
