Hannah Donovan is not my type.Intellectual and career-focused, she’s a lawyer, and an intimidatingly beautiful one, at that. I’d rather pump iron than open a book, and the only reason I’d go to court would be for a traffic ticket. She’s the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen. So how can I turn down her plea that I pretend to be her fiancé for one weekend? But I never expected our pretend kisses to … expected our pretend kisses to feel so real … or for it to lead to a wild night in bed that will forever stand out as the highlight of my sex life.
Our performance convinces everyone, but it was never meant to be more than a fantasy. A short term gig before reality sets back in.
I can’t imagine ever being good enough for her, but I’m hooked. And now I’m determined to do whatever it takes to make this fake engagement real.
Each novel in the series is a STANDALONE romance with a guaranteed HEA!

You cannot reverse your feelings when you’re in too deep.
Matthew owns three gyms and is the brother of one of Hannah’s friends, Selma, who is also going out with her best friend. Hannah is a lawyer who wants to open her own lawyer’s office with her best friend, Easton. Easton and Selma are a couple. Hannah has one problem though; she has a problem getting the start up money, due to two different circumstances. Selma has a brilliant idea for one of those circumstances, have her brother Matthew pretend to be her fiancé. The two had met before and each one was attracted to the other without the other one knowing it. They both don’t want the same things. Matthew wants to settle down. Hannah knows she’ll be too busy with her law firm. It’s interesting to see how this all works out. Usually it’s the woman who wants to settle down, not the man. This is a great story.
Wow, Matthew and Hannah’s love story is one I which no one no’s for sure til the end. It’s like you can the love but believe and deserving is the culprit of the sharade turn love everlasting. The ironic thing about their love story is now we have a brother and sister who found love with two lawyers who are best friends and are now partners. Amazing

I purchased a copy of the steamy short novel In Too Deep: A Man Of The Month Novel book 10 by J. Kenner and this review was given freely.
An elaborate scheme where opposites attract resulting in the characters healing each other’s self esteem and in a happy ending. The story opens with Easton and his bisexual law school friend Hannah opening a law firm together only Hannah is afraid to tell Easton she doesn’t have the funds so she enters a fake fiancee pack with Selma’s brother Matthew to trick her stepfather into releasing her inheritance.
I feel like I am repeating myself but what can I do, I just all all the books in this series. And this one is not an exception. Matthew and Hannah’s story is simply beautiful. It’s romantic and hot and even a little bit sweet. And I loved every single word of it.
The attraction between Matthew and Hannah is palpable but nothing really happens between then until Hannah has to present him as her fiance to please her mother and stepfather. That’s when caution is thrown to the wind and their feelings grow faster than a wild fire. But of course, no relationship is without issues and Hannah’s family and Matthew’s background appear to be quite the obstacle for their HEA.
I am not going to say anything more than that but I can tell you that this somewhat short tenth instalment in the Man of the Month series, is definitely worth reading 🙂 So don’t waste any time and pick your copy asap.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ruthie –
This is the tenth book in the series and I would definitely recommend that you read them in order, as the characters and the underlying plot follow on through each book. This one in particular absolutely needs book nine to be read.
Hannah is ready to start the new law firm with Easton, but she needs funds to put into the partnership. She is due a fund left by her father, but her mother and stepfather are holding onto it until she has a settled life. When she visited with girlfriend, Janet, they definitely did not approve.
Now her best friend Selma offers her brother as a fake fiancé to help get the money. Matthew, a gym owner, agrees to help out, in part because he really likes Hannah. There are some funny lines as they have to share a bedroom when they go to visit, and they clearly have chemistry which they ought to deny. Her stepfather is truly vile and gets what he deserves from Matthew.
I really enjoyed this installment, it isn’t heavy on the issues of The Fix, but they are tied in neatly. Hannah and Matthew’s new relationship will be one to watch in months to come.
Reviewers on the Wicked Reads Review Team were provided a free copy of In Too Deep (Man of the Month #10) by J. Kenner to read and review.
In Too Deep by J. Kenner is the tenth book in her new 12 book Man of the Month series. Told in dual POV this is the story of Hannah and Matthew, the attorney who needs a fake fiancé and the gym owner who thinks he isn’t worthy of being more than the fake in their agreement.
Hannah is branching out on her own, well, sort of, with her friend and soon to be partner in law, Easton. Quitting her job was a mistake though, then she discovers there is a clause that prevents her receiving any payouts on ehr retirement fund. She needs $50 grand to invest in the law partnership and refuses to borrow it from Easton. She has a trust fund and money set up but her mother and step-father are unwilling to hand it over and would like it to go towards “setting up her future” read as home-life as part of a happily married couple. What she needs is a fake fiancé.
Matthew is the kind of guy who is looking for a real relationship and not a quick hookup and tumble in the sheets. When his crazy sister throws this fake fiancé situation in his lap like it’s a done deal he has no choice but to go ahead and try not to fall even further for this woman. When he starts to doubt his worthiness and then is further placed under scrutiny by Hannah’s step-father he decides to just let her go.
Well-written and well-paced, this was another great read and I’m excited with how each of the upcoming characters are gently weaved into the plots in earlier stories without being obtrusive to the current story. Enjoy!
To say I cannot get enough of this series is an understatement! I love the chemistry between Hannah and Matthew and I knew from the very beginning their story would be sweet!
In Too Deep follows the fake fiance trope, but with a sweetness to the romance. In a slight role reversal, it’s our heroine, Hannah, who needs a fiance to prove to her mom and stepdad that she’s capable of a serious relationship in order to get an inheritance her late dad left for her. Selma Herrington, heroine from All Night Long and girlfriend of Hannah’s law partner, Easton, offers up her brother, to fill the role. When Matthew is approached with the request, I liked that he gave it serious consideration before making a decision, especially since he’s harbored a crush on Hannah. His words and feelings relay a depth of sincerity which makes him a sweet Hero. However, since he didn’t go to college, he felt Hannah was out of his league and thus did not pursue his interest. Matthew eventually agrees to help Hannah, figuring she only needed him for one weekend. Things happen which cause Matthew and Hannah to continue the charade, but eventually their feelings turn real.
I enjoyed the romance building aspect of the story but felt the storyline between Hannah and her parents was unfinished, which if given the opportunity, I would have rated this one 3.5 stars.
I can’t believe this is the 10th Man of the Month book. Such a great series. I love how each of them are their own story, but yet characters go from book to book.
This one is Hannah and Matthew’s story. It’s a different than some of the others but still very enjoyable.
I can’t wait for the next two books, to finish the series out strong.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
4.5 STARS
I really enjoyed reading about these two. Loved their connection and their story. J. Kenner pulled me in fast with this one and I was sad to see it end.
I really hope we get more of their story somewhere. There’s a big loose end that I really would love to see tied up.
I truly enjoyed this short story. This was the perfect low on angst but heavy on the combustible chemistry novella. This is just a lovely little story of how two people with strong personalities develop a relationship and get their HEA.
Hannah Donovan is Easton Wallace soon-to-be law partner. She needs money to fund the opening of their law firm, but she is strapped for cash. Her parents will only accept to fund the start-up capital if she is in a stable relationship. Her only option is pulling a con on her family, with the help of Matthew, her best friend’s brother.
From the get go we see sparks flying. Even though the relationship was meant to be all for show, it didn’t take long for very real feelings to develop.
I loved how genuine and real Hannah and Matthew were and I loved how their whole story turned out. It was cute and very touching at the same time.
The months just keep getting hotter! Selma and Easton seem to be complete opposites, but these two have absolutely sizzling chemistry! I loved the chemistry, banter, and fun between these two. They both seem to know exactly what they want to achieve in their careers, but soon find maybe they weren’t as sure as they thought. A fun, hot, romance with a whole cast of great characters that leaves you wanting more. I can’t wait for the next book!
This series of standalone man of the month books are such a romantic and quick read. There’s only 2 more books left in the series and I can’t wait for them to come out.
Hannah Donovan is a skilled attorney who decides to partner up with her best friend and open up a law firm. Hannah runs into trouble at the last minute with getting the money to start up the firm. There’s money available but Hannah hates to ask for it because there are stipulations that she must fulfill in order to access the money.
Matthew Herrington is a hot guy who owns some gyms in the area. He gets roped in to help Hannah by pretending to be her fiance in front of her mother and stepfather. Both get to know each other better and then give into their mutual attraction. Matthew think he is good enough for Hannah since he’s a high school dropout even though he is a successful business man now.
Matthew and Hannah need to work out their issues and Hannah has to determine if the money is worth it or find other means.
This is another hot, steamy, funny, and romantic story! Hannah and Matthew are just perfect for each other!
An exceptional story about Matthew and Hannah.
Hannah Donovan a successful lawyer who is also Easton’s best friend and so to be business partner. However she happens to have a problem regarding her share of the money for the business. In order in to get her insurance money from her late father. Her mother wants her to be in a stable relationship in order to give her the money. Now Hannah has to find a pretend boyfriend.
Matthew Herrington a gym owner has been proposed to be Hannah’s fiancee until her mom gives her money. How could he tell her no. Now he has to make believe that they are an item even though he would most definitely love for it to be true.
I voluntarily received an ARC for a honest review.

This is the latest installment in the Man of the Month series and it is another entertaining read. This is Hannah and Matthew’s story and what an opposite attracts romance it is. Hannah is a lawyer who is best friends with Easton, who we met in the previous books, and they are going into business together to start their own law firm. Matthew is the brother of Easton’s fiancée. He is asked to pretend to be Hannah’s fiancé in order to secure the needed funds for her share of the lease on the office space for their new law practice. From the beginning there is heat between Hannah and Matthew but neither one believes that there is any interest aside from friendship. Matthew feels that Hannah is too good for him as he does not have a formal education. Can Matthew get past his feelings of inferiority to give the relationship a chance? How will Hannah react when her stepfather offers her an ultimatum to get the money? Ms. Kenner has a way of developing her characters so that they are relatable and endearing. While this is not one of my favorites, as I found the ending a bit abrupt and would have liked to have had some resolution with Hannah’s parents, it is a book to add to any read shelf. I look forward to reading the next book in the series to learn Griff’s story.
I volunteered to read an arc of this book.
Fake relationship romances? Yes…please!!!! There is just something fun about these kind of romance storylines especially when it comes to J. Kenner who has the ability to create characters that demands our attention. Toss in the fact that there is this crazy burning sexual tension between her characters will make you go crazy, giddy and swoon all at the same time. So it’s practically given that will fall In Too Deep in love with this book and this series. So what are you waiting for and go read this book stat!
Mr. October is set to swoon you to the full moon!
Way to melt someone’s heart Julie. Captivated and felt connected with these characters as we have seen them throughout the Man of the Month series, they finally come together in In Too Deep! This sweet story had me from the moment Selma helps Hannah with her little predicament and states “leave it to me!” You know she would have something up her sleeve and let me tell you did she ever!
Matthew and Hannah were meant for one another. Hannah needing a favor and Matthew helping her out, which lead to a friends with benefits sort of relationship but certain lines are crossed and become blurry. Once hearts and emotions get involved we all know egos start to play a role. What will happen to these two and can they make it work?
I can’t believe the MOTM series is almost finished! What will we ever do?! In Too Deep is a great addition and I for one are on the edge of my seat waiting for Griffin’s story next. I knew Julie would save the best for last. Between him and Brett!

Matthew and Hannah are two characters who want different things in life. He wants to cut back from the daily grind and settle down for that family he’s always wanted. She wants the exact opposite, instead choosing to amp up her business and open her own law firm. Her own family’s reluctance to support her dreams leads to her needing Matthew as a stand-in fiancé, but that doesn’t last long. I love JKenner’s ability to make these characters connect and attach in a way they can’t escape from, no matter how hard they try. Definitely a hot read that leaves you itching for more.
“I wasn’t looking for you, but I found you. And now I need you.”
Hello Mr. October!! As the series winds down (2 to go), I can’t say enough how much I have enjoyed these stories. Each one spotlights a different couple, while the characters from the others make their appearance throughout each one. Plus, one of the hottie men is crowed the next Man of the Month!
Hannah Donovan is ready for a new start. She’s quit her job as in-house counsel for Brandywine Finance & Consulting and is on the cusp of opening a new law firm with her bestie, Easton. The only thing holding her back is the funding. She knows where to get it and how, but there is one critical piece of the puzzle needed to free it up. She needs a man. One to convince her mother to release her inheritance from her father. Matthew. Will he come to her rescue and pretend to be her man? She wants him, but they agreed this would be fake – and temporary. Right?
Matthew Herrington has been attracted to Hannah for a while now. How could he not be? She’s perfect. Now, she needs his help. He can’t tell if this is a godsend of an opportunity to be close to her, or the worst decision he’s ever made. She is so far out of his league, there is no way he’s deserving of her. When this arrangement is done, he’ll walk away and she’ll find someone deserving of her. He just needs to survive losing her. There’s no way they can work – right?
I really enjoyed their story. I wanted to slap her mother and step-father across the head for being so closed minded, but as you know, there’s a happily ever after regardless!!
This is the newest installment in this series and the chemistry exploded right off my kindle. Hannah has quit her job to partner with Easton and they are opening a new law practice. The only problem is she needs money and is going to have to resort to asking her mother (again) for the money her dad left her. The only problem is her step-dad has some sort of crazy mind warp on her mom and they expect her to have a man before she gets the money. Matthew is wrangled into posing as her pretend fiance for the weekend when they visit so she can get the money. All seems to be good and, oh, they are put up in the same room. These two are so perfect for each other and even though Hannah is educated she is not a snob. Matthew is a drop out but very intelligent and self made and very good at business. They make a perfect couple and if they can keep dad out of their business they may have a chance.
All books in this series can be read as a standalone but really why would you want to because they are all really good! This one is another keeper!
