Never let go.Weighed down by scandal, Captain Jamie Callahan must choose between saving his family’s reputation and his father’s political aspirations, or taking down the enemy once and for all. Kyle … consequences. Kyle knows in a situation like this the only way out is through. Together they can make it to the other side, but surviving that journey will take everything they have.
One last chance.
Agent Sean Delaney is learning what it means to be part of Alpha Team through trial by fire. He wouldn’t change it for the world, nor would he give up the life he’s building with Staff Sergeant Alexei Dvorkin. But their time together is threatened by outside forces they can’t outrun. Having put the nightmare of Boston behind him, Alexei is focused on keeping his family safe, but he can’t have eyes on everyone. Alexei knows he can’t ignore the danger on the horizon, and when it strikes, he is unprepared for the tragedy it leaves in its wake.
Risking it all.

Phew! This book put me through a whole range of emotions. I have said it before and I’m going to say it again: The author is really MEAN! Did we really deserve all that pain??!! But I do trust her, so even though I was was put through the wringer, I had absolute faith.
This is the fifth book in Metahuman Files and I keep falling in love with the characters and the writing. The author is so talented that I feel like I’m experiencing every scene. Like the previous book, we follow both Jaime & Kyle and Alexei & Sean. I really like how the two relationships are balanced.
The Alpha team is as badass as ever and their devotion to Jaime is heartwarming. I love all the teammates the dynamics among them. If you’re a fan of sci-fi, then this is one of the best series ever. It has action, romance and super steamy sex scenes with an HEA!
Super excited to read Liam’s book next, which is the last in the series!
In the Requiem is the fifth book in the Metahuman Files series, and all the previous books NEED to be read before enjoying this book. In the Requiem is the conclusion to the over arching plotline for the series.
What an amazing and breathtaking conclusion to an incredible plotline. There are so many amazing things that happened in this book, but to avoid spoilers, I’ll just say that my heart was in my threat and I was near tears at points. BUT, Hailey Turner comes through with a beautiful happy ending that is worth all the angst. This book has it all: incredible action scenes, hot sex, fascinating plot, and wonderful characters set in a intriguing world.
Greg Bourdreaux narrated this book and did a fantastic job. There was a lot of action and emotion that he had to perform and he did it very well. I really enjoyed his performance and thought his narration did the book’s complex plot justice. I highly recommend this book and this series.
A++ review…warning: ugly, sobbing tears throughout this one, but dang it was good. This entire series is PHENOMENAL. I HIGHLY recommend it! And yes, you need to read every single book in this series…you won’t regret it (Note: they were so good that I read #3, #3.5, #4, #4.5, and book #5 all within a 36 hour period. I love it when I can binge a series like that, but now I have a HUGE book hangover.)
Seriously, pick these books up if you haven’t read them!
5 stars – I loved it!
Well this book took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride!
Jamie Callahan and his family’s reputation is continuing to take hits after the events in the previous book. While everything is falling apart the team knows that another attack by the terrorists is bound to happen soon. This was an action packed book from the very beginning. The team is dealing with Congress investigating them, tracking terrorists, and keeping each other safe.
Like the previous book, this one jumps between Jamie and Kyle and Sean and Alexei. Jamie and Kyle are still hiding their relationship and you can see the strain it has had on both of them. Their relationship is put to the test in this one. Jamie had to make a terrible decision in this one and it was a very emotional time for a little bit.
Sean and Alexei are finally healing from the trauma of their torture. We see their relationship is almost back to where it was in the beginning. They continue to work well as a team. He has become a valuable member of the team. I loved seeing these two work together and become a stronger couple.
This book is a turning point for the war against the terrorist. They make a huge play and Alpha Team steps up to stop them. It was action packed, emotional, and the fallout will last a long time. Overall this was a very emotional book for both couples. I am very interested in seeing what will happen next with the team and the mission.
What a fantastic end to an amazing series. I picked these books up on a whim and I’m so very glad I did – the character building was a joy to see unfold, the suspense was perfectly written and the heartbreak was enough to bring me to tears for pages. My biggest complaint is that I don’t have more books to read about Jamie, Kyle, Katie, Matthew, Sean, Alexei and team.
