In the Mood Fur Love (Kindle) by Eve Langlais, Milly Taiden and Kate Baxter .. Thanks to the publisher and #Netgalley for giving me the chance to preview this book. Three great stories BEARING HIS TOUCH B…. FAKE MATE TO THE WOLF … THE WITCH THE WEREWOLF AND THE WAITRESS these are all great fun stories with lots of steamy sex and action and all with HEA.
Three novellas, three authors, one entertaining anthology. All three stories revolve around shifters finding their fated mates. The beauty of a fated mates story is that instalove works, at least on the shifter side of things. I did like that the humans involved in these stories felt the attraction, but they didn’t fall madly in love at first sight. Each story has a good mix of romance, danger, and action, and I also found a bit of wit and humor in Fake Mated to the Wolf. Some things could’ve used more development, but there is a lot of story packed into these reads. In the end, all three stories are well worth the read, mixing romance, a bit of steamy fun, and plenty of action, and of course, some yummy shifters!
In the Mood Fur Love is a great box set and is the second set in the Fur box set. This is a great way to find new author and take a chance on shifter type romances. I hope there are more sets like this…loved this. Here is a blurb of what you get:

This book is perfect to get shifters and some great stories. In the book Bearing his touch Becka has escaped her kidnappers but when a huge man with kind eyes offers to help her she is sure if she is going from the frying pan into the fire. Fake mated to the wolf touches on sexual harassment in the workplace but you may just find your mare there. Last but not least The Witch The Werewolf and the Waitress, Ellie has been cursed to stay in this town never to find happiness. When Colin comes into the diner and eats the prized cinnamon roll he can’t believe how mad Ellie just got but the fire in her eyes makes him realize she is his mate, problem is she can’t leave. I love all sorts of Shifter stories and this book gives you a full story times three.

Bearing his touch.
By Eve Langlais
Becka was abducted from her home, and has been kept for a month. That feels like forever because of the abuse she has suffered. When all hell seems to break out she uses it as a chance to escape.
Bear shifter Stavros is drawn to the scent of someone in trouble. He might not be a cop anymore, but he still has an inbred need to protect the frightened woman he finds.
This is an action packed story that looks like part of a series, because of all the secondary characters.
Our poor scared heroine has had her world turned upside down. The sexy Teddy bear is hoping to set everything to rights for her.
Great fun.

Fake Mated To the Wolf.
By Milly Taiden.
Shawna Goode is struggling to earn the money she needs to save her family. Working for Mate.com would be good if it wasn’t for the terrible manager. The stress she is under is overwhelming.

Will he be able to fix things before her world is destroyed.?
An exciting and fun story with lovely characters.

The Witch, the Werewolf, and the Waitress.
By Kate Baxter.
The pack is happy on their new lands. The alpha chose well, but for Colin Courtney it’s a little quiet, so he is looking for a job as a sentry. He didn’t expect what he found on his way to his interview.
Ellie Curtis is a waitress with a huge secret that she has kept for three hundred years. She is human but immortal, thanks to a witch’s curse. The years have been long and lonely.
Can our hero find a way to break the curse so our heroine can be free?
A lovely mystery to solve with great characters. Good magical fun.

I received a free copy of this book via Netgalley no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own. I found all three stories to be a very enjoyable and entertaining read plenty of intrigue, suspense, action, and of course steamy romance to keep you hooked from beginning to end. I wasn’t really familiar with the author Kate Baxter but I will be definitely checking out her work. So if your looking for a fast paced story I totally suggest you check out this anthology you wouldn’t regret it.
Well these 3 ladies have put out another fantastic novella book. If you have read the other 2 novella books that they put out then some of the people will be familiar to you in these stories. If you have not you can read this novella as a stand-alone but the other novellas were so good I would suggest reading those as well. Each one of these stories the main man has found his Mate and has to convince her that she is his mate and also protect her from something. All of these guys are bad-ass and will do anything to protect their mates. The woman are not helpless or wallflowers but they do need some help. All 3 stories are quick read and hot as hell!!

BEARING IS TOUCH by Eve Langlais… 5 stars Becka is kidnapped by an abusive man, a man who asked her out and she turned him down. She has tried to escape but he keeps bringing her back. When they are in a penthouse, he leaves and some figures dressed in black break in and try to take her. She gets away and runs and hides in an alley. Stavros was a cop but got fired to having weed. Now he’s a private investigator and finds Becka hiding. He convinces her to go with him because he can keep her safe. He is a bear shifter after all and his bear recognizes her as its mate. Now Stavros doesn’t want to be tied down but when she goes missing again, he knows he’ll do anything to get her back. Funny, sexy, and suspense. I believe this is one of my favorite stories by Eve. A traumatized woman and a bear who’ll protect her with his life. * RELEASES OCTOBER 2, 2018 * FAKE MATED BY THE WOLF by Milly Taiden..4.5 stars Hawke knew Shawna was his mate the first time he saw her. Shawna works at Hawke’s company mates for hire. When she is fired, she has to take three jobs to keep paying the people who has her mother and brothers. When Hawke finds out, he fires her boss and rehires Shawna to run the match making portion of his company. Hawke needs a date for a function he’s attending and gets Shawna to go with him. Shawna returns home and the men looking for her family takes her and her friend, Robbie a homeless man, into her apartment and threatens her if she doesn’t tell where her family is. Can Hawke save her before she gets hurt? Great story. Sex and a little mystery. The only thing was Hawke’s name, Hawke Hawke. At first I thought it was a typo but nope that’s his name. THE WITCH, THE WEREWOLF, AND THE WAITRESS by Kate Baxter..5 stars
Ellie works at a diner and is over three hundred years old. A witch put a curse on her that she can’t leave her town and she will never die. Colin is a werewolf and has applied for sentry duty, same as law enforcement for the supernatural. He stops at a diner and meets Ellie, his true mate, but their first interaction is not very friendly. Colin goes out scouting and falls off a cliff, every bone is broken and it takes awhile to heal. Ellie comes along and finds him and takes her back to his cabin. They have sex and Colin explains what a mate is and Ellie explains about her predicament. He goes back to his pack to talk to his Alpha and they find out that a spell was put on the perimeter of the town. At the four corners should be a piece that can be destroyed and takes the curse off that side. So Colin and Ellie set out and find all three but at the forth is more difficult and Ellie doesn’t know if she wants it destroyed because then she might lose the best adventure ever, with Colin.
Great story. Funny and sexy. Will keep you on the edge of your seat. This is the best story I have read by Ms. Baxter.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for Netgalley *
Bearing His Touch by Eve Langlais is the story of Becka, a desperate woman, running from a monster that has stalked, kidnapped and terrorized her and Stavros, the bear shifter that stumbles upon Becka.
Luckily for Becka, Stavros is an ex-cop turned private eye who will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.
This was a delightful short story from an author who’s work I’ve read many times before and the other stories in this anthology serve as great introductions to authors whose work I’m definitely going to be reading more of.
A very good read.
4 stars Bearing his touch – Starvos, sweet bear, big family, helper of those in need, finds his fated mate. Becka has escaped from her evil tormentor, and finds Stavros. She has people after her, two groups it would seem, and a whole bunch of bears want to keep her safe. Lots of mystery, anticipation, and some laughs along the way!
2.5-3 stars Fake Mated to the Wolf – This story had more meat to it than I expected, with some real troubles for the people in it. It still had an overly dramatic heroine, but she seemed softer than she was presented. Our hero, Hawke Hawke, no really, that is his name, also isn’t prone to dramatics, but isn’t completely upfront with our heroine. Overall, not a too bad of a read
5 stars The Witch, the Werewolf, and the Waitress – I absolutely loved this story! Ellie tugged at my heartstrings and Colin was so protective of her. This story felt like it was being told in a mist, in the woods, surrounded by tall trees, and stars filling the sky above. A story of jealousy, loneliness, heartbreak, and survival. How even finding true love doesn’t mean your trials and tribulations are over, it means you have someone there with you now. To help you through it all, and stay by your side even if things go wrong.
This book provided several afternoons of a much needed getaway! Each story was distinct, entertaining, and ended with a sweet happily ever after. Each came alive, pulled you into their world, and took you for quite the ride until the eventual ending. The pacing was perfect, no huge plot holes, and everything flowed well together. My favorite by far was the last story, The Witch, the Werewolf, and the Waitress, had all,of my favorite elements! Thank you so very much for the opportunity to review this gem, I loved it!
Bearing His Touch by Eve Langlais
Becka is in a whole heap of trouble. She was kidnapped by a seriously deluded guy, I mean c’mon he thinks he’s a vampire! She has no clue why he thinks her blood is amazing and will give him superpowers! When she manages to escape she manages to find safety in the arms of Stavros.
Stavros may have been canned from the police force, who knew they took a dim vision on appropriating pot?!?! But he is still a good guy, with strong protective instincts. He knows Becka is in dire straits and he wants to be the one to save her. After all she is his mate..he just needs to explain about being a bear!
Hilariously funny when Stavros’ crazy clan come clomping into his apartment! I enjoyed unravelling Becka’s back story and why the rich dude was obsessed with her.
Fake Mated to the Wolf by Milly Taiden
Mates fur Hire have gone from strength to strength. But the guy in charge is a misogynistic, sexist, weasel. When his so called assistant (i.e She actually does all the work!) finally quits, the CEO becomes aware of the departments problems. He has been trying to track down his elusive mate from months, trying not to come on too strong an frighten her off. But now the ball is in his court and he is determined that he’ll turn this “fake” mating into a real life HEA!
Hilariously funny, I loved catching up with these characters from the early books.
The Witch, The Werewolf and The Waitress by Kate Baxter
Lowman, Idaho; middle of nowhere and the town that Ellie has been trapped in after a jealous rival cursed her to never leave the town limits. Now centuries later, she has reinvented herself so often that she just wants to be left alone.
Colin wants to be a Sentry and take care of his pack. He did not factor in on meeting his mate or her being so mysterious. But if they work together they may just free Ellie from her prison.
Fab story and intriguing characters.
I freely admit I am addicted to shifter romance. This anthology has great reads for me. My favorite Is “Bearing His Touch” by Eve Langlais. Stavros had me smiling with his antics. Ellie’s situation in The Witch, The Werewolf and the Waitress was a unique read. All were very well written. I received an advanced copy of this book. I freely leave this honest review.
Bearing His Touch by Eve Langlais
Becka’s story started out dark, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel when she encounters Stavros and his ‘beary’ tongue-in-cheek self! I enjoyed the mix of suspense, romance, and the humor! Leave it to bear shifter’s and their silliness to lighten things up. Stavros and his family were honeybuns of crazy fun, which helped make their story my favorite of the batch!
Fake Mate to the Wolf by Milly Taiden
Hawke has found his mate, but is clueless how to approach her. However, when Shawna personal problems come to light, Hawke steps up to the plate. So, I didn’t connect with the romance. It took too long to establish the pull to one another. I did, however, find Shawna and Hawke amusing with all the misunderstandings. This one may have worked out better for me if it had been longer in length.
The Witch, the Werewolf, and the Waitress by Kate Baxter
Ellie has been stuck in podunk nowhere for centuries due to a witch’s curse. Colin stumbles upon Ellie and realizes she’s his fated mate by pure luck. He’s determined to help her, knowing the potential risk of losing Ellie just when he found her. This was the heaviest in the mix. Ellie’s loneliness was a weight of misery! She was a survivor though, and watching her open up to Colin and his wolf turned out to be sweet deal.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
