Stuck in Aden’s house of horrors Kenzie is losing all hope. She hasn’t felt anything from Dax, and she hasn’t been able to reach him in any way through their connection. It’s like he had built up a brick wall.Despair takes over.Fear of dying in that horrid place fills her mind. Then again, maybe death wouldn’t be so bad. It couldn’t be any worse than losing Dax altogether.Just when Kenzie doesn’t … altogether.
Just when Kenzie doesn’t think she can handle any more trauma, Aden waltzes in with terrifying news.
Dax is dead.
It’s her worst fear confirmed. But how; how could he be dead while she’s still alive. It all becomes clear once the lies are revealed, and the real truths come out.
Dax isn’t dead, far from it actually. He’s on a mission to save his mate. He was coming for her and the others.
Finally, there is hope.
But how would Dax respond to knowing that Kenzie was pregnant? And last but not least, would she have to choose between Dax and Fox again. Who would she pick, the father of her baby or the mate that had stolen her heart?
The battle had already begun, but with the minor mishap of having all of his warriors spread apart, Dax had no choice but to retreat and regroup.
Now that they are back together as one he has to return. Aden must die, and the compound must be destroyed.
Kenzie has her own battles going on when Dax leaves to finish what he had started. The baby was pushing primal urges.
They were also affecting Dax while he was in the middle of his battles, which makes for a dangerous combination.
The urges and emotions that Dax feels from Kenzie only drive his hatred for her child higher. He doesn’t like the fact that it isn’t his, but he wouldn’t dare tell her that.
Kenzie knows how Dax feels though, their connection doesn’t allow for secrets to be kept.
Only time will tell if Dax will come around.
Then again, this could be the one thing that will split them up and force them to go their separate ways.
The future is yet to be written.
They had won the war with Aden, and things seemed to finally be going their way.
Dax was still a little distant, but it was something that Kenzie thought they could overcome.
It isn’t until Dax tells her to leave that it hits Kenzie. Maybe things couldn’t work between them.
The baby growing inside her wasn’t something that Dax could easily get over. Leaving Dax was the only thing she could do, but it would break her heart in the process.
The only problem she has is where she should go, and who would keep her safe?
There was one person still out there who cared for her, loved her, and who could be a father figure for her unborn child.
And that’s where she was going to go.
Before she can get anywhere the baby decides now is the time to be born, and once again Kenzie’s life is thrown off course.
It does bring Dax back but having this new powerful child brings other dangers.
Only time will tell if they will be able to escape.
And only love can conquer all.

How to do this series of books credit I have no clue so I will go with my heart, Yet I am also a bit disappointed in the way it ended, I won’t give anything away with spoilers because I hate them my self my advice just pick up book 1 and go with it I promise you will not regret it. If you haven’t read this incredible 4 book series you are seriously missing out on one hell of a read. I am finally at the end of an incredible journey of pain, loss betrayals, torture love acceptance and unbelievable bravery with a cast that felt like thousands and each one wonderful in their own way. I have never read anything by this author before but they have blown me away with the depth and feeling this story ignited in me. I have literally read these in 3 days life as I have known it ceased to exist. I wanted to no I NEEDED TO KNOW what came next, who else was Mackenzie going to love or lose. So many characters that you just fell in love with.
What would you do if the world as we you knew ended it ? What would you do to survive?
Take your ideas of science fiction and throw it out the window this was like stepping into a film like Star Wars Star Trek, The X men all rolled into one. The imagination the depth of each character portrayed was incredible.
All hell breaks lose in Commander Mackenzie’s life in book 1 and we are taken on incredible journey through the series of books, each one more gripping than the other, with ‘Kenzie’ though at times I could have smacked her, I grew to admire and dare I say love her, what ever magic she weaved brought grown men to their knees, at times I hated her, I hated the fact that she dilly dallied when she should have been strong or she made stupid decisions that put others at risk, but at the same time I cheered from my armchair when she pulled up her big girl pants and kicked some serious ass. We have a host of characters from Fox, Cash, Dax my beloved DAX, Leaf and Storm, Max, Maddox, and the awful disgusting bad guy Aden, I can actually visualize these boks in a TV SERIES, I would watch it that’s for damn sure. Highly recommended read now the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 like I have given the previous 3 books, as that horrid ending, now whether the author has left it like that because they could be another book in the works I have no idea, but that ending seriously sucked. Which after the marathon session of reading all 4 books was not good. So please author if there is going to be another tale can you let us know.
OMG!! Kenzie is such a great character. She lost Fox, was pregnant with his child, almost lost Dax because if it. Flint is born and grows at a rapid pace. The people of Eden One learn to fight together to gain their freedom from the humans. It was a win win. For every one!!!! This was an incredible series and one I would read over and over again.

This is the final book in the series. Just like the first tthree books, I could not put it down. In fact, I stayed up all night reading books 2 and 3 until I could not hold my eyes open any longer. The characters are well thought out and interesting. The world building is wonderful. I was hooked from almost the first pages of the first book and this one has the same engrossing story line. It does have a satisfactory ending which leaves the possibility for future stories in this unique universe. It was not a short story. It keeps you guessing what is going to happen next. I enjoyed this book very much.
