A New York City blackout complicates Cat’s baby-making date in this feel-good romantic comedy!
“Please let me get pregnant!” Cat Seabright’s biological clock is hollering at her to get on with it already. She has a profound desire for a baby, and a limited window of opportunity in which to make one. What she doesn’t have is a significant other. That’s where her pal’s cousin comes in. Agreeable guy that he is, he promises to fly to New York from Alaska, do the deed, then promptly fly back out of her life.
All goes according to plan… except for the part about the agreeable guy from Alaska. Oh, there’s a man in her bed, all right, a sexy, virile man who’s more than up to the task. The thing is, a full-fledged New York City blackout has plunged their baby-making date into darkness, obscuring her view of the energetic stud. The next day Cat finds out Mr. Alaska never made it to New York!
So who the heck did she have sex with?
When she discovers the man’s identity, and that she has to work closely with this particular bad boy for the next several weeks, all she can think is, “Please let me not be pregnant!”

This book was a lot of fun!
I loved the initial setup and how it all played out with the mistaken “in the dark” beginning. But even more, I loved the way everything played out afterward as Cat learns so much more about Brody and the possibility of things working out between them seems nearly impossible. This book had plenty of surprises, lots of humor, and oodles of intense and steamy love scenes. I enjoyed every bit of it, especially the nicely wrapped up HEA.
Funny- pretty off the wall but kept you thinking.
Really enjoyed this book!
I absolutely LOVED this Book!!! I didn’t want it to end!!! Extremely excited to read every book from this Wonderful Author!!!
What is with Peter pan metamorphosis
It is my firm belief that you can not change a person. Only that person can change themselves. And the flaming trash heap that was Brody isn’t realistic and his transformation is even less so. He has to be mentally unstable. Hoarding and signs of depression, don’t scream father material to me let alone highly successful in his field. She made him start cooking at home for himself and taught him how to balance his checkbook. I get her so bad it hurts but, give her turn key not fixer-upper. She’s already got enough crap of her own to deal with to have a serious relationship, she doesn’t need someone forcing her to reject him. Dude, she would reject and run from real if he was perfect. Flaming dumpster fire was a little much.
OK, didn’t like hero in beginning.
I enjoyed this book and how the characters grew and changed. The characters were believable. This was an easy read and entertaining.
I absolutely loved this book. I was hesitant after reading the summary thinking okay but most likely all cliché but took the chance and so glad I did. The plot is is original, funy, thoughtful and well paced and the characters further develop as they each grow throughout the story. The authors words paint a beautiful picture, very visual in her descriptions that pull you in. Extra steamy right off the bat as well.
This book was funny but also romantic. Very entertaining.
Just okay. Did not hold my interest
Good read… quick and entertaining…. perfect for a vacation.
I enjoyed this book and found myself not wanting to put it down
Too silly a plot. Did not like the hero; too many vices
I like how these characters are not perfect and have unusual jobs
Ok, glad it was free–would not pay for it. Really shallow plot and characters. Behavior didn’t follow what the little bit of character development there was.
Wow, great book
light, easy reading, good for a relaxing week-end
You really know where the book is going right away, but it was a cute book.
I enjoyed reading this book. It was a sweet read.
I liked it. I read so much, it was one to tell my friends about!
