A man in love is unstoppable.Sir Thane Davis is a fighter and has survived countless tragedies. Now he must deal head-on with Lilly to protect the woman he loves and the baby she carries. He is relentless, wanting to end this threat once and for all.But unseen forces are at play which will challenge the Master. Will victory be his or will he lose everything he holds dear?
The next installment of Red Phoenix’s Brie’s Submission series is book 16 In Sir’s Arms. This story is told from Sir Thane’s point of view. It does back track to events that have already unfolded but like the last couple books it gives a whole new perspective on the events. It also continues the story along. I was rather disappointed with Sir knowing he kept important information about Lilly from Brie however not all is what it seems but his punishment will happen and it will be one you won’t see coming! I found that the events through his eyes was not only informative but emotional as well!! I can’t wait to see where their journey takes them!!
I love this book. I love reading about how Sir became the man he is now and the events that shaped his out look on life. Most of all his relationship with Brie and his brother. As well as his leadership role in the BDSM community. I must admit it was a shock that they had met long ago without knowing that they would end up meeting again, now that’s what I love to call destiny.
*** I received an ARC from ‘Foreword PR & Marketing’ and this is my review. ***
Amazing!! Another installment in our beloved series ‘Brie’s Submission’. This one is told by none other than the man himself, Sir Thane Davis. WOW!! I knew I would cry, laugh, hurt and soar with the Condor’s during this book. If this is the first book you’ve picked up for this series, it can be read and enjoyed as is. But, and I hate to start a sentence with the word ‘but’, but to fully enjoy the journey (and it is quite the journey) you should start at the beginning with ‘Brie Learns the Art of Submission’. The characters in these books become a family through many hardships, some have started with terrible childhood events, some have been friends through college and others have been through traumatic events as adults. Each of these events have shaped them into the characters that we love as we read each book.
Back to Sir’s book. We travel with him as he struggles through the abyss of a coma, trying to regain his place by Brie’s side. We know him to be a strong, dominant man always helping others and I for one, fell in love with him again as he learned to accept the help of others while he was recovering. This book really made me see Todd in another light also. He has really grown and I loved his interaction with Thane. I struggled a bit through the dealings with Lily but fully understood and agreed with everyone’s opinion of how she should be handled. That was fantastic and I enjoyed it very much. I knew Master Anderson was going to be behind the ‘kitty cake’ and yes I cleaned that up just for the review. 🙂 Shadow had a small part in this book but I really enjoyed him scaring the bejeezus out of Sir and I loved that he introduced himself to the cat as Thane, husband and Master to Brie.
Now, as we await the birth of Brie and Thane’s baby, there is time to re-read the series (many of us are on our 3rd or more re-reads), it will be my 3rd time. Start from the beginning of the series, take your time (if you can) and fall in love with these characters as they become a family. These books have the perfect amount of laughter, tears, sex, betrayal and every other emotion you can think of in them. Jump in, hang on and enjoy the ride!!
4 Star Review of In Sir’s Arms (Brie’s Submission #16) by Red Phoenix
Firstly you need to have read the other previous books in the series otherwise you will not get the enjoyment you should from this book.
To be honest I was rather confused when I first started reading this book as I had no idea that a lot of this book would be in terms of flashbacks. Once I got my head around this, it was easier to read, but unless you go in knowing this you may be like me and confused.
What will a man do to protect the women he loves with all his heart and soul? Anything and that is the position that Sir Than Davis finds himself in.He is absolutely determined to keep Brie and the baby she carries safe from his crazed half sister Lilly.
I loved getting insights into what has been happening to other characters and how they play a part in keeping Brie safe. Family truly does not have to be blood related to be family and In Sir’s Arms is a great example of this.
The connection and chemistry between Brie and Thane, knows no bounds, their love for one another shines throughout the book as does the love from their friends and for their friends..
Sacrifices will be made and people will get hurt, but the question is will Brie and her baby be safe?
I can’t tell you how good it felt to be reading another of Red Phoenix’s books. Red Phoenix’s books are what started me on the road to reading BDSM themed books. I am always excited when another book is out.
In Sir’s Arms is told from Sirs point of view. We finally get Sir Thane Davis back to the world of the living. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen to him after the last book.
While Sir was in his coma he relived some of his past. There are a few scenes that you have remember that it is the authors artistic license to write a scene the way they see it. Whether it would happen like that in real life or not. I enjoyed reading In Sir’s Arms and can’t wait to start Bound By Love which is book 17.
I give In Sir’s Arms 4.5 stars and it was great to read about all my favorite characters from the previous books in this series.
This is a large series and I have found it a little confusing in the order of these books. Here is the reading order.
Teach Me –Book 1
Love Me – Book 2
Catch Me – Book 3
Try Me – Book 4
Protect Me – Book 5
Hold Me – Book 6
Surprise Me – Book 7
Trust Me – Book 8
Claim Me – Book 9
Enchant Me – Book 10
A Cowboy’s Heart – Book 11
Breathe with Me – Book 12
Her Russian Knight – Book 13
Under His Protection – Book 14
Her Russian Returns – Book 15
In Sir’s Arms – Book 16
Captivating. Riveting. Completely in awe!
Sir Thane Davis is unstoppable as ever, which we all know and love in Red Phoenix’s hit series Brie’s Submission. I’m finally elated to say that in the 16th book we have Thane’s POV and I am beyond thrilled! I’ve always wanted to know what thoughts lay in the Dominant’s head and Red Phoenix finally delivers.
**NOTE: With any of the books within the series, it’s a wise choice to begin at the beginning. DO NOT start with this story as you will be lost.
Multiple emotions are claimed while we experience Thane’s POV. we revisit certain scenes from the past which I thoroughly enjoyed since I always wanted to know what went through his mind, but it’s not to say it was easy to read. I teared up, my heart broke, but moments stood out where my heart mended and I was overjoyed.
Red’s writing style is impeccable. Her work is one that I long for and in which I can’t put down. You stay up late trying to finish only to start the next book at o’ dark thirty.
With all novels in the series they end wide open for another story to begin and In Sir’s Arms, it’s no different! Be expected to gasp! I can’t wait until the next edition arrives…
USA Today bestselling author Red Phoenix is back with another installment of her popular Brie’s Submission series. In Sir’s Arms gives a deeper insight to events that we have already seen, but this time we get to experience them through Thane’s eyes. This is a series that needs to be read from the beginning, so if you haven’t started it yet you need to get going, there are sixteen books to read.
Thane Davis proves how much of a fighter he is and with the help of his friends, who he considers his family, he makes his way back to Brie after his accident. But there are still obstacles to overcome, including dealing with Lilly once and for all.
The connection of these characters as a self-built family is one of the best things about this series. The way they come together for each other no matter what, even to the extent of being upset about not being included in a dangerous scheme emphasizes just how much they care for and respect one another.
One of my favorite things about In Sir’s Arms, is that you not only get to see things from Thane’s POV but also you get to experience his helplessness during his coma. I had chills reading those scenes. I have never read a book where the character was in a coma and I didn’t know that I could feel that frustration and struggle along with them with just words on a page.
Red Phoenix is an extremely gifted writer and she has brought to life a world and characters that has the ability to suck you in and make you feel, and I mean FEEL every single second. At one point while I was reading I asked aloud, does it ever stop? It was one thing after another for this close-knit crew. This is a definite recommendation for all fans of BDSM reads. FOUR stars.
