For anyone who has been a fan of Sally, the book was a real eye-opener. I learned a lot about her life before stardom and consequently why she was the person behind the characters she played. It also gave a personal account of what happened to her at the hand of her step-father as a very little girl and the impact that had on the rest of her life. Living in a world where we assume celebrities “have it all,” it was very frank at telling the real life account of just how the star system works, at least for her. Sally could definitlely raise her hand and say, “Me too.”
Love Sally Field. Love her book.
Sally Field has always been one of my favorite actresses; book shows there is much more depth to her. An interesting and inspiring life.
So, now we have Sally Field embracing her “victimhood” along with almost everyone else.
Sorry, can’t tolerate these accusations made against people who are unable to respond (almost all or all of them are dead).
Love Sally Field’s acting. Interesting to know that she struggled through life with doubts and insecurities as many others.
WOw , what an increditable journey. Sally persevered & trimphed so gracefully
Inspirationaal Bravado good on her
I really enjoyed this book. I have been a long time Sally Field fan. It was very eye opening, and riveting. I loved reading about other stars she worked with. Many deceased stars were mentioned. Some funny scenes evolved now and then. The only negative statement I will make, is there was too much reading about Sally’s Mother. It kind of was one of the main
themes of the book. It is well worth the read.
This is a good book but it is not all that well written. It was informative.
Loved this book
