My name is Dove Hendry.Mine is Kingston Axton.I was captured by darkness. She has always been ours… a very dark culture.
A culture that she is about to become the center of.
The Brothers of Kiznitch come in fours, and they’re not happy about me being hustled into their acts.
Or are we? Careful, Little Bird. A warning is a warning for a reason…
Mind-tricks.
Stunts.
Deceit.
Power.
But there’s something uglier that has been haunting me for years upon years. So ugly that I have never seen it’s face. I never had to. I’d hear his whispers through my internal screams, feel his shadow brush against my nightmares. He was my the monster that tormented me.
And maybe lived under your bed…
When I started Midnight Mayhem, his presence faded.
His whispers were silenced.
His shadow dissolving without a trace.
I wondered why that was.
She didn’t have to wonder for long…

“Welcome to Midnight Mayem. We are not a circus, we are not a carnival, and the only thing that you should be afraid of losing tonight, is your sanity… ”
I lost my sanity indeed. In Peace Lies Havoc was my first ever book from Amo, and it couldn’t have been a better introduction to her art. I’m obsessed with the incredible world she built in this series and can’t wait to go back with this crazy crew in the next installment. Amo has definitely become one of my favorite dark authors, i don’t know where i was before her books but i’m diving in, butt naked, towards the rest of her books.
Midnight Mayhem is a utterly hot, twisted, suspenseful work of art. Is very different to anything I have read and it totally consumed me with twists everywhere!
Another thing I loved was how the shows and Dove’s dances were portrayed, I really felt I was part of it all, performing with them. It felt real and incredible erotic and raw. Every step was delightful to take with each page.
“Eye contact is the language that no one can speak, but chemistry is fluent with; it’s the language of fate. It’s two souls catching on fire without a single word being spoken.”
“Intimacy is just like murder; they both make your heart race and your palms sweat while leaving your thoughts in disarray, but then when you’re done, you’re left with the remnants of someone else’s soul or blood on your hands.”
“Silence is the most underrated sound.”

: adult dark romance, secret society, forbidden romance, amnesia, lots of twists and turns
One thing I love from Amo as an author is how creative she is. She always comes up with the craziest unique plots and as expected midnight mayhem is a new world full of darkness and crazy twists.
I freaking love all the characters from the series and I did love Dove and King’s story. There were moments I wanted to p*nch King for being so cold towards Dove, but I’m glad he opened up towards the end. As for my girl Dove, she is fierce, wild and so freaking sassy!! Exactly what I want from a heroine.
The twists regarding her pasts were all unexpected and kept me to the edge until the end. And of course the chemistry between King and Dove is fire and I couldn’t wait to see them as happy as they can be.
The only thing that annoyed me in this book is the constant mentions of the songs name. Yeah I get it, Amo loves music but idk I felt it was unnecessary and repetitive, plus the writing sometimes was a bit flat.
Besides that, I think this was a solid read with the right amount of darkness, twists and wonderful characters. I do recommend you to pick up this one and give it a try!!
P.S.: I claimed Killian since the beginning of this book and I’m really excited to get into his book
“…the only thing that you should be afraid of losing tonight, is your sanity.” Well, if that wasn’t an accurate description of not just Midnight Mayhem, but the entire book. I didn’t know what to expect. I saw a picture collage from a book blogger and was intrigued. Just reading the blurb, I was already sucked into the mystery of Dove and King, but once I started, I couldn’t put the book down. The secrets around Midnight Mayhem and everything that comes to light about Dove and her past was one shock after another. This was my first Amo Jones book and will def not be my last. I immediately ordered In Fury Lies Mischief, having to know what happens next with the Brothers of Kiznitch.
