My name is Dove Hendry.Mine is Kingston Axton.I was captured by darkness. She has always been ours… culture.
A culture that she is about to become the center of.
The Brothers of Kiznitch come in fours, and they’re not happy about me being hustled into their acts.
Or are we? Careful, Little Bird. A warning is a warning for a reason…
Mind-tricks.
Stunts.
Deceit.
Power.
But there’s something uglier that has been haunting me for years upon years. So ugly that I have never seen its face. I never had to. I’d hear his whispers through my internal screams, feel his shadow brush against my nightmares. He was my the monster that tormented me.
And maybe lived under your bed…
When I started Midnight Mayhem, his presence faded.
His whispers were silenced.
His shadow dissolving without a trace.
I wondered why that was.
She didn’t have to wonder for long…

I finished In Peace Lies Havoc by Amo Jones today. Y’all…I know book 2 is out..but I’m re-reading this one again. Its THAT FREAKING GOOD….I have only done this a handful of times over the years.. But this book is sooo AMAZING it deserves an ASAP re-read!!
This book well go into my Favorite books of all times!!!
Welcome to Midnight Mayhem. We are not a circus, we are not a carnival, and the only thing that you should be afraid of losing tonight, is your sanity…
So first off, In Peace Lies Havoc by Amo Jones is NOT a high school bully romance! These characters may be new adults but they are a twisted, dark bunch here to wreak complete havoc! This dark and twisted, crazy amazing world that Amo has created is absolutely riveting! This storyline was NOTHING like I was expecting but I am completely hooked! From the prologue until the epilogue, I was completely enraptured by the world of Midnight Mayhem. I literally had the chills while reading this! It’s just a whirlwind of craziness!! MIND-BLOWING CRAZINESS!!!
… always remember that in peace always lies havoc.
Life hasn’t been kind to Dove Hendy. After the death of her mother and father when she was a child Dove’s life has a series of ups and downs until she finally ended up in Miami Beach.
Things seem to be looking up for Dove, she has a stable job as a bartender, an apartment that she shares with her boss.
But all that changed in one night when Dove is thrust into the crazy Midnight Mayhem world.
That’ll be the only time I ever get on my knees for you, Little Dove.
Midnight Mayhem is filled with a diverse bunch of characters that all-cause havoc in one way or another. Midnight Mayhem is one show, multiple acts, all happening at midnight.
Welcome to Midnight Mayhem. This is neither a circus nor a carnival. This is what happens when the clock strikes twelve and all of the monsters you thought never existed expose themselves.
The Brothers of Kiznitch are one of those acts. Kingston, Killian, Kyrin, and Keaton are four dark and broody brothers who do crazy insane stunts… plus a little more.
Well, well, well, look who’s going to be sleeping with monsters.
Kingston seems to hate Dove right off the bat for no apparent reason. But when Delila, the woman that runs the show, thinks Dove would be the perfect fit for The Brothers act Dove is then forced to move on to the Brothers bus while they’re touring. Now that King and Dove are in close quarters they have to figure out a way to live together, one that doesn’t get Dove killed…
Revenge isn’t always sweet; sometimes, it’s a bitter reminder of the demons you missed, so you need to cock back, aim, reload, and… bang.
Kingston ‘King’ Axton the dark and broody “leader” of the Kiznitch brothers. King has responsibilities that far exceed the show. His family and his brothers mean everything to him. King has no emotions, he turned them off a long, long time ago. But when the Little Dove shows up, she is NOTHING like he expected, leaving King in a state of mayhem. Because even though he doesn’t want her… or CAN’T have her, he’ll be damned if anyone else has her either.
I don’t need to like you to fuck you.
But the more time that Dove spends with King and the Brothers, the more she keeps having these crazy flashbacks. They are only glimpses and nothing seems to make any sense but she continues wondering what these flashbacks mean, and WHY all of a sudden have they started now…
You’ll have to read In Peace Lies Havoc to find out!
I’ve lost my life to four men and they haven’t even killed me yet.
HOLY. SHIT. I finished In Peace Lies Havoc DAYS ago and I STILL can’t stop thinking about this dark and twisted amazing world. I swear I RARELY ever give out 6-stars, those are reserved my UNICORN reads! In Peace Lies Havoc is one of them! I would give this book sooo many more stars if I could because it absolutely deserves it! This book left me with my jaw on the floor for the majority of the story, and I couldn’t decide if I wanted to binge read it all in a day, or slow down just so that I didn’t have to say goodbye to this world just yet. It’s so hard to explain but it’s like you just KNOW that there is something simmering right on the edge of the story the entire time but it’s so deep under all the suspense and mystery that you CAN’T figure out WHAT it is. But whatever it is, it has you so captivated that you can NOT put it down.
Love is a battlefield, and my knight is a villain.
Dove was such a unique, kick-ass character. It took a while to really figure out Dove because she kept her cards close to her chest. She is such a resilient character. No matter what was going on, she just accepted whatever life threw at her and kept it moving. She’s a nice girl but she’s feisty as hell.
I like him like this. I need him like this. His danger has always drawn me in. There’s power that comes with being touched and caressed by a dangerous man.
Kingston is a complete savage! He’s dark, broody, dangerous, and completely devious! He doesn’t give a shit about anyone except for his brothers and his family. When he walks into a room you know that he’s the alpha, there’s no doubt about it. King is for sure an anti-hero and I LOVE him. That mouth of his… *SHEESH!!!* I loved his mean side, but I really loved his “sweet” side, ya can’t really call it sweet because nothing about King is sweet lol, but still it’s the little things like pulling her behind him or having his brothers keep an eye on her (even when he supposedly hated her) when they are in situations where she could be harmed… Finding out WHY, or WHY he was SUPPOSED to hate her so much… just like with everything else in this book, I NEVER saw it coming!
He’s everything you were instilled to fear as a little girl. He’s your father’s worst nightmare and your mother’s wet dream.
Dove and King *SIGH* These two have undeniable chemistry right from the start. Even when King was meaner than a rattlesnake towards her, their connection between them was clear as day and was just too strong for them to resist, Sure enough, it wasn’t long before sparks started to fly and when they flew, HOLY HOTNESS! King is an alpha in and out of the bedroom, and that dirty mouth of his… OFF THE CHARTS!
I can’t fuckin ’ share you, P. Ever. Even when you’re not mine officially, you’re still mine. That’s how it’s always going to be. I can’t fuckin’ function knowing you’re walking this earth, and it’s not me you’re walking it with. I can’t fuckin’ share you.
Kingston: Strong, assertive, broody, intense. Liar. Killian: Playful, devious, trickster. Liar. Keaton: Confident, skeptical, careful. Liar. Kyrin: Manic, Rage, anger, resentment. Liar.
Now, just because the main couple is Dove and King doesn’t mean that the rest of the Brothers of Kiznitch didn’t play a HUGE role in this story! These dark, devious, and dangerous boys are completely unpredictable. You don’t know from one minute to the next whether they are going to kiss you or kill you! But there’s no denying they are sexy as hell, with enough devious charm to pull you in. Each of the brothers has their own style, their own personality, their own crazy trait, but what they all have in common is their fierce loyalty to each other. These guys are the definition of anti-heroes, the kind of guys you’ll love to hate and I can NOT wait to see more of them!
I have to mention the secondary/supporting characters because seriously, EVERY character from this book played a HUGE role, not just the main ones. Like Delila Patrova, the ringleader I guess you could say. Delila runs the shows and puts the acts together. I like Delila and I would LOVE for her to get her own story too and to see just how she became who she is! Rose Kinnish, she’s thrust into Midnight Mayhem the same time as Dove and becomes one of her closest friends. I’m hoping Rose gets her own story… maybe with one of the other Brothers?
There has been no bigger mind fuck than being on the receiving end of Kingston Axton’s attention.
I am OBSESSED with ALL things AMO JONES! She is a freakin mad genius! I would LOVE to spend one day in her mind! She’s a master storyteller who knows just how to write a story that submerges you so deep into the story that you feel like you are a part of it and not just reading it. She does an excellent job at keeping you guessing, with every twist and turn, my mind had all kinds of theories and while I came close, I NEVER saw that coming.
I am sooo far from done with this Midnight Mayem world! I am completely hooked and I NEED book two, In Fury Lies Mischief, like I need my next breath ya’ll! I highly, highly recommend In Peace Lies Havoc!
She will always be not just my soul mate, but my better half.
ℂ ’ ℝ:
Welcome to Midnight Mayhem. We are not a circus, we are not a carnival, and the only thing that you should be afraid of losing tonight, is your sanity…
– In Peace Lies Havoc left me with my jaw on the floor for the majority of the story, it deserves these 6-stars and sooo many more! It’s twisted, it’s dark, it’s suspenseful, it’s sexy, and there are so many twists that you won’t know where the hell Amo is going to go from one minute to the next! But trust me, you will be completely captivated and NOT be able to put it down!
– HOLY FREAKIN HOTNESS! King is a total alpha, there is no denying that and his mouth… SHEESH! The chemistry between Dove and King was a living entity from the very start so you can imagine that when they FINALLY came together, sparks were flying all over the place!
ℂ – Nope, no cliffhanger. Dove and King’s story is all wrapped up. In Peaces Lies Havoc can be read as a standalone, but it is the beginning of a new series and I for one can NOT wait for what’s to come next. This story is far from over for me, I’m nowhere near done with this Midnight Mayhem world!
So, are you ready for Midnight Mayhem?

Check out my blog to see my FULL review!
I HAVE NO WORDS. NO WORDS. EXCEPT FUCK, THIS WAS AMAZING.
It’s 3 am. I have to be up at 630 for work. I’ve already decided I’m gonna hate my life tomorrow. But it’s worth it, because I can’t put this book down. I’ve cried. I’m attached. Ugh. King.
GO READ THIS RIGHT NOW!
I absolutely loved this book. I was not expecting it to be so cryptic. The story and the characters had me questioning and guessing what was going on the whole time. I didn’t find anything out until the end of the book and I was way off from what I was originally thinking the story was about. Amazing, it was so good. Worth the wait to the very end. I can’t wait to read the next book.
In Peace Lies Havoc is one of those reads that you find yourself highlighting constantly, thinking hard about the each of the characters, and trying to decide how soon you need to do a reread. It keeps you on your toes throughout the book, making you want to devour it in one sitting. The storyline is dark, twisted, and unique, which Amo Jones is known for. And while it is a standalone, it is also the first in her new Midnight Mayhem Series, so we have at least 3 more books to look forward to and (im)patiently wait for. Whether you’ve read an Amo book before or not, if you like a book that is dark and different, you will love this book! ALL OF THE STARS!
“That’s the thing with King and me. We write our story in invisible ink, so no one else can read it.”
If you are an Amo Jones fan, then you are already prepared for the #MindF***KAlert that always comes with one of her stories. In Peace Lies Havoc definitely falls into that category and will have your head spinning with all the amazing characters, secrets and surprises.
In her usual brilliant way, the author put me inside the head of Dove, but she didn’t know what was going on half the time so I experienced everything right along with her. The gorgeous four, their sick sense of humor, and their talents that I can’t even begin to describe even if I was willing to share. Nope, that’s a delicious treat you need to enjoy firsthand as a spectator at Midnight Mayhem.
“I don’t want to give them any more power than they already have, and something tells me that if they knew they had my fear, they’d only use it as a snack.”
Though Dove was at a disadvantage as the Brothers of Kiznitch knew what was going on, and she was in the dark, she didn’t cower or back down. She’s badass and brilliant. Another treat is that Dove has some hidden talents of her own that I really enjoyed. The suspense in this tale is tantalizing. As each new layer is revealed and then torn away things get clearer and darker and hotter. I imagine if anyone was watching me read this book on my Kindle they would have been tempted to look over my shoulder to see what was making my eyes bug out.
As I approached the end of the book I wanted to procrastinate and delay the inevitable, I was reluctant to turn that last page. But, at the same time, I’m beyond excited to see what happens when I get my hands on In Fury Lies Mischief. There are so many possibilities that it’s mind-boggling. The line forms here…
Oh what the hell was I thinking waiting so long to read this book!!! This was my first read from Amo and definitely won’t be my last since I already started In Fury Lies Mischief because I needed more of the Midnight Mayhem series.
“We’ll be back, Dovey. I’ll hear you when you speak. I’ll see you where you dance. I’ll always be watching you…”
This book was all kinds of suspense, intrigue, mystery and so freaking hot I was enthralled in the story. I hated putting it down, I was so consumed all I wanted to do was read because there were so many questions but not enough answers and I NEEDED those damn answers like air in my lungs.
“Intimacy is just like murder; they both make your heart race and your palms sweat while leaving your thoughts in disarray, but then when you’re done, you’re left with the remnants of someone else’s soul or blood on your hands.”
King and his Little Bird dance around each other, him knowing it all will come to an end and her not understanding this pull between them. These two burn up the pages of this read with the sexual tension brewing but nothing will prepare you for the jaw-dropping twists that rock their world leaving you gasping WTH!
“Sometimes it doesn’t matter if you know you love someone, or they know you love them. Sometimes, you still have to fight for it, for them.”
If you haven’t picked up this book yet, what are you waiting for? This is one dark, twisted utterly mind-blowing read that you don’t want to miss and that I highly recommend!
Mind blowing!! This was fabulous in a bazaar, twisted way and I loved it! An x-rated Cirque Du Solei with stunning characters and a storyline full of mystery, suspense, danger and a darkly disturbing romance. King is the king of the bad boy biker performers and when Dove is forced to join this crazy group it’s on. You knows there’s more to Dove’s story than what meets the eye but the truth is mind blowing. King tries to stay away from her but that’s not happening. The push pull between the two is sizzling and reality od their romance is so dark and wonderfully twisted. The writing gripped by the throat and wouldn’t let go until the suspenseful, brutal ending. All the characters were so interesting especially the sons of the fathers. All the adults were as disturbing as the kids. A fantastic start to twisted new series. I can’t wait for the next installment.
“Welcome to Midnight Mayhem. We are not a circus, we are not a carnival, and the only thing that you should be afraid of losing tonight, is your sanity…”
(I may or may not have Ace of Spades by Motörhead playing in my head right now)
What a ride this book was! And I loved every minute of it! Unfortunately, in my opinion, it’s better if you go into this book blind when it comes to its twists and turns, so I’ll be making a spoiler-free review. And let me tell you, that is not going to be easy!
“What makes you think I had a life worth losing?”
From the start, we’re introduced to Dove, the heroine. I struggled a bit to connect to her, because, to be honest, I only started understanding the book at around 65%. It’s supposed to take you on a loop, and you’re supposed to be confused. A bit like Dove, whose life has definitely been rough, and sad.
“The only difference between him and the monster that awaits you in those nightmares when you close your eyes is that Kingston comes dressed as everything you’ve ever wanted.”
Kingston was unlike any of my usual favorite heroes. I started off hating him, I moved on to understanding him, and lastly… yep, I really like him. I may not understand him completely because his life is damaged as well, but it would be hard not to fall for him anyway.
“Trust is earned; it’s not given just because someone has a pretty smile. Pretty smiles are the way trust is broken. Pretty smiles are the pavements that crack.”
Think of Midnight Mayhem as a carnival, if you want to. A circus? Just a show? It’s neither, and it’s all of them. It’s ugly, it’s depraved and captivating, and its main act is the Brothers of Kiznitch. Four men, very different, very messed up (in different ways) and strangely very appealing as well.
When Dove finds herself as part of Midnight Mayhem and having to perform with the Brothers, she needs to roll with it. But she finds herself becoming a part of all of it – when she’s never felt like part of anything before.
“That’s the thing with King and me. We write our story in invisible ink, so no one else can read it.”
Dove connects to the people of Midnight Mayhem in different ways. Her connection to Kingston is absolutely insane from the get go. The tension, the chemistry, the heat, the ugly and all the beautiful they only show each other. It’s dancing on the edge of danger and wanting to be spun just one more time, just for the hell of it.
And it’s freaking sexy!
“Give me your pain, Dove,” he whispers into my hair. “Give me all of it.”
“Why.” I shake, pressing against him harder.
“To numb mine.”
Like I said when I finished it, I hit “The End” at 5:28 in the morning. I kept telling myself I’d just go one more chapter, but there was no way I could do that. Amo Jones spun her tale wonderfully, and trapped me in it.
So much so that I’ll be reading book 2 next!
Dove Noctem Hendry first traumatic moment was at age eleven, then age fourteen after a bloody night with the spoken words, “I’ll hear you when you speak.”
Thirteen years later, an exotic dancer stolen from stage to gilded cage at Midnight Mayhem.
The Brothers of Kiznitch
Kingston
Killian
Kyrin
Keaton
Very provocative and dark read with twists and turns, lies and secrets riddled throughout. Little teasers that you guess, but nothing truly coming to light until towards the end. There’s a couple times I guessed some of them, but not much; I spent a lot of time confused. I feel like I was missing storylines when sub characters were introduced on the side. Very uniquely written book, one and which you must be prepared for before you jump down this rabbit hole.
All I can say is I fecking loved this book! It’s way more darker and twisted than TEKC and I flicking loved it!!! As always Amo Jones delivers on the steam and spice but the plot twist! I am here for it! You won’t see it coming until The Brothers hit you in the face with it. Delila sums it up perfectly when she says, “Welcome to Midnight Mayhem. We are not a circus, we are not a carnival, and the only thing that you should be afraid of losing tonight, is your sanity. “

This author’s books never cease to render me speechless. I don’t know that I’ve ever read anything as dark, hot, f**ked up and INSANE, as her books. She absolutely owned the enemies to lovers theme!
This book had me completely obsessed. For 24 hours, this book came everywhere with me. I was hooked from page 1.
The Brothers of Kiznitch; what a force to be reckoned with. They are dark, mysterious, dangerous, and alluring. This book focuses on one of the brothers, Kingston, and Dove. King’s character gives out allll the whiplash to the reader, and the other characters are wonderfully written as well, particularly Dove. Dove is independent, gorgeous, and talented. She can dance like nobody else and puts on a show stopping performance. She isn’t sure why she was chosen and kidnapped by the brothers, other than to perform, or what it all means for her. But she manages to find her place quickly. She’s determined to learn all the secrets around her and why the boys act like they hate her. King and Dove share an undeniable, intense attraction. I will warn you right now , this book is HOT from the start. The slow burn between the two is BRUTAL but oh so worth it when it all comes together and the secrets are revealed.
I 150% recommend this series. This author is a QUEEN. She knows how to deliver a MINDF**K like no other and she does it beautifully.

Let me start by saying that there’s just something about this author’s writing style that I love. I’ve added all of her books to my list of books to read. This book had me hooked from beginning to end and the story left me wanting more. This story was full of mystery, suspense, great characters, steamy and intriguing scenes and so much more. Lies were told, truths were kept and secrets were revealed. I loved the whole performance act in this story especially the dance scenes. I just couldn’t get enough of them. The chemistry between Dove (Persephone) and Kingston was undeniable. I also loved Killian and Maya’s strange relationship and I would love to see them together. Honestly, I enjoyed all of the characters in this story and it definitely left me wanting more of Kohen. His craziness fits perfectly with this story. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series because this one does end with a cliffhanger, and I still need answers to some unanswered questions. This is a story worth reading and I’m excited to know how everything continues to play out with Midnight Mayhem.
How do you write a review when you aren’t entirely recovered from the experience of even reading the book?
But the answer is simple here, I suppose.
Y’all are just gonna get the jumbled up everything, and hopefully you can translate this into what it’s supposed to be.
The Brothers are a whole new group, y’all.
Amo fans know the Kings well, but you’ve never come across Kiznitch before, and that alone is worth shouting from the rooftops, especially amid tropes overdone, and alpha heroes that blend into one another.
I NEVER have that problem with Jones’ men. They will wreak their special brand of devastation across your whole life, and leave you asking(begging) for more.
Dove is a unique character all on her own, kind of grasping at the pieces of her life, and shoving them into cracks, forcing them to fit.
The love?
A level all on its own.
Jones likes to make us bleed for it, and we happily accept the madness she bestows upon us.
Overall?
A throw your kindle experience that Jones fans will go crazy for, and one that will have other readers crossing the street to get away from whatever is wrong(right) with us.
Dove and King. My goodness. This book took the breath from my lungs so many times. I was unaware that I could be so scared and turned on at the same time, but leave it to Amo to unlock that feeling for me. Every single Midnight Mayhem show I was clenching my kindle with fear and heat as I read every single word Amo gave me. This series also took me on a journey like the EK series. And in true Amo form, my brain malfunctioned from all the tiny details she left. The twist I never saw coming and I screamed about it for about an hour. I devoured this book in one sitting. I wanted more of Midnight Mayhem and I wanted more of the Brothers.
Amo has this wonderful way of writing the most insane worlds that I want to be a part of. I will always want more words from her and more worlds to live in. I can not wait to dive into In Fury Lies Mischief because I loved Killian in book one. All the brothers have shown a little of themselves in this book and have left me salivating for more. 5 stars as usual for Ms. Amo Jones.
Ok Amo has done it once again and left my mind ,and heart twisted and all over the place not mo where at the same time. I can’t think about anything other then this story and these characters. Amo really has a magical gift when it comes to writing and has proved it once again with Dove and Kingston’s story. There story is twisted, steamy, dark, and intense but it’s there’s and I couldn’t help but love it. The story is full of emotions and makes you feel at times your right there with the characters. Amo makes you also feel like your in another world along with the characters and I love that she has that ability. I can’t wait to see what comes out of Amo’s beautiful mind next and if you haven’t started this book yet you’re truely missing out on magic.
This story was truly amazing
This is my first book by Amo Jones and I couldn‘t be happier that I chose this one to start. It showed me how good Amo is as a writer and how compeling her stories are for new readers.
Dove and Kings story was amazing. From the beginning to the end. It‘s definitely not for the light hearted. Both of them struggle with so much that happened in their past.
The background story of Midnight Mayhem and Kiznitch is very complex. I found myself wanting to know more about each and every character and everything surrounding them. It sucked me into it‘s story so much I really couldn‘t put down the book even if I tried to!
Amo‘s writing was really really good. The research and thought that went into this book is brilliant! I mean who comes up with this stuff and executes it soo well.
I honestly can‘t tell you guys more about this book because you need to read it for yourself and ger sucked into Mayhem.
5+
This book was mindf*ckery at its finest. It was filled with twists & turns, TONS of secrets, sex & WTF moments. I just couldn’t put it down!
The sexual tension between King & Dove was off-the-charts ON FIRE. (Heck, the sexual tension between ALL the characters was sizzling!) Loved the jealousy, loved the teasing & ADORED when he finally confessed to being IN love with her. Admittedly, I’m a bit disappointed that we never got to see the “final act” after King & Dove became an item though. I’m really curious how all of that is gonna go down in the future… 😉
The whole idea of this book was so damn cool. The way the Brothers of Kiznitch stuff intertwined with the Midnight Mayhem antics was unique & had me wanting to dive into the pages myself because I want a front row seat to watch it all! I was a little confused at times because there was SO much thrown at us throughout the book (ie: the different acts, the vast amount of colorful characters, the intricate history of all the families, the startling secret about Dove, the “Patience” thing, the mystery person in the “Aftermath” & MORE) but it was so fascinating to read about it all.
Fans of Amo’s Elite Kings series will LOVE this book! Can’t wait to get my hands on book two, In Fury Lies Mischief!!
Ok. I hate to do this. I have read every one of Amo’s books and 5 started them. Most of them I would give a million stars if I could! They are so amazing! Her madness sucks me right in! But this book had me beyond confused. The beginning was great! But I felt like I was missing a huge part of the book towards the end. It got really confusing with all the names starting with a K. I mean I understand the boys names but there were way too many others too. I got really confused with King and Dove/Persephone’s “relationship”. It just kind of didn’t make sense. I still don’t understand why King said they couldn’t be together. Why?!?! I was really excited for this book but I’m sadly disappointed. And I’m also sad that it looks like so many other reviewers got it when I didn’t. I’m still going to try to read book two. I’m hoping it’ll give me some insight maybe? I guess we will see…
