Ben has been trained to be a spy from the age of five, and I still can’t wrap my mind around that. And what saddened me even more whas that he considered himself disposable and emotionally stunted. Those feelings, along with an unhealthy dose of loneliness formed Ben’s mind set when he met Felix for the first time.
Ben and Felix together offered me the most delightful treat. They rubbed each other the wrong way and I loved seeing how they went from jumping at each other’s throats to tearing their clothes off one another in a passionate frenzy. It was an incredibly intense and fun pull and push to witness, while they had to work together searching for the crown jewels of Rosavia.
Their hate/love relationship was brilliantly integrated with the spy action plot. It was an exciting combination of fun, hotness, camouflages, systems hacking, dearing escapes that lead to the final reveal of the thieves…and happily ever after for Ben and Felix.
Loved it!
This is the fourth novel is the Rosavia Royals series. It may be read as a standalone (but I highly recommend reading all of them!). This novel features somewhat enemies to lovers and the spy/espionage trope along with some royal hi-jinks between 5 princes searching for their forever.
The Crown Jewels are stolen weeks before the Royal Ball, and Prince Benedict (who unbeknownst to his brothers is a part of Rosavia’s secret service) is on the case. In order to retrieve these precious jewels Benedict must work intimately with Felix, the Quarter Master. Felix is responsible for the intelligence gathering and caring out of the top secret mission. Due to his commitment to work Felix has never really found time for a relationship, that is until he meets Benedict. At first they both are very weary of the other, but given time they might be able to solve the greatest mission of all; each other.
Given this novel dives into the spy and espionage world it is very fast paced and adventurous. You are holding onto your sit with all the twists and turns awaiting the outcome of both the mission and the romance. Benedict is so aloof in the previous novels, that it interesting to finally see the man behind the mask. This book really is a Bond meets Cinderella type and I was all here for it!

Max Rowan returns with a new pen name (she formerly wrote as Max Hawthorn), but with the same amazing ability to combine action and romance in her books!
Here we meet Prince Benedict (or Benedickt, as Felix sometimes calls him), forth in line to the throne of Rosavia, who is actually a specialist for the country’s secret service. He’s basically an operative spy while learning all the ropes to become head of the service in the future.
When the Crown Jewels are stolen just weeks before the Reign’s 500th anniversary Ball, threatening a diplomatic incident, Prince Benedict has to work in close quarters with the new, fascinating Quarter Master.
Initial mutual dislike is undermined by attraction and then, in close order, begrudging respect and blossoming love.
This author’s style is so catching and fast paced, all of her books are real page-turner for me, I just can’t get enough!
That was an exceptionally combination. A spy prince and a computer genius with 4 degrees? Absolutely worth it. I really liked the action and the sense of danger that accompany the characters. The espionage elements and the gadgets was inspiring and the intelligence and power of deduction excellent.
We learn that everything is not what it seems and the greed and power hunger run highest when you want to hurt a royal.
Character dynamic is impressive and full of humour but also seriousness that leads to suspense, unexpected twists, betrayals and happiness.
I really loved it.
Oh wow I have been lucky enough to already read all 5 of these and to be honest I do not have a favorite and love them all equally.
Loved the concept, the characters, the settings, the love, the roses, the blueberries and even the cats!
This is Book 4, Ben and Felix but they can be read in any order as they run concurrently and the authors have done a wonderful job in interconnecting them.
I loved this story about the spy prince and his intelligence counterpart. Prince Benedict had more going on in his life than what his family knew and he kept it secret from everyone until he met Felix the newly appointed QM of Rosavia’s top secret military R&D department. With Felix he was able to find his true self and fall in love with the one time nerdy scholar turned intelligence agent. Felix was able to let down his barriers around the charming prince and fall head over heels in love. All while on a top secret mission together. This series has a lightness to it that makes you fall in love with not only the characters but the quaint little town as well.
This was my first story by Max Rowan and will NOT be my last. I loved Max’s writing style! I absolutely loved the adventure, non-stop action, and love that this story gave you!! Prince Benedict and Felix was such a good fit together, you could not help but fall in love with them. Prince Benedict was a “Bond” like character and Felix was his “Q”, they must work together to find the crown jewels. They made a great team! I loved the “suave playboy” Ben to the “geeky” Felix!! I cannot wait to read more of the Rosavia Royals!! A definite must read!!! I am voluntarily leaving a review form an ARC that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions
This book was nonstop action. Max Rowan did not let us down with her amazing writing style and talent for keeping us on the edge of our seats. I saw someone on Facebook describe this book as Bond meets Cinderella, and I fully agree. You will definitely fall in love with Felix & Benedict.
This was the second book I read in the new Rosavia Royal series, since they can be read in any order, and I’m excited to read the others. Most of the authors of this series have written the Men of Hidden Creek series together, and they did a phenomenal job with that, so I know this will be fantastic as well. I love the idea that all 5 books take place at the sane time, and I’m looking forward to seeing familiar characters and events throughout each book in the series.
ETA after reading all 5 books: I really loved how all 5 authors had bits & pieces from each other’s books without giving anything away. I also love how they each kept the other brother’s personality & quirks when they wrote them into their books. If you didn’t know each book was written by a different author you wouldn’t be able to tell, they all flowed that well together.
