I was reunited with Livingston Montgomery in the broad sunshine of a Carolina morning, right where she belonged; in the light. It’d been too long since I’d seen her face. She had changed, but so had I. I was Adam Nova, reformed bad boy. Now, successful business man. I had it all, except for the one person I’d always wanted, and now I was back to claim her. She was living in the shadows, just a … the shadows, just a shell of the former girl I knew.
But it didn’t matter that she tried to hide from me in the dark.
I’d follow her into the deepest depths of hell.
I just wanted to be In Her Space.

In Her Space is the stunning, emotional conclusion to the gut-wrenchingly gorgeous love story of Livingston Montgomery and Adam Nova. Their story begins in Beneath His Stars, the first book in the Stars Duet. Amie Knight left me hanging on a gasp at the end of that book, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one!
Where Beneath His Stars focuses on the beginning of Liv and Adam’s story and how they met and fell in love as teens, In Her Space picks back up with this couple ten years later following a long, painful separation. I went into Beneath His Stars expecting a YA romance, and I could not have been more wrong. Firstly, these characters are old souls, wise well beyond their years, and their sweet and tender romance wasn’t without some heat under those stars. In Her Space takes place ten years down the line when the tables have turned, roles have reversed, and everything is different. Adam and Liv may not be the same star-crossed lovers of their youth, but one thing that hasn’t changed is how much they both still love each other. Knight wove a suspenseful element into this romance that was both tragic and evil, and I was tapping my Kindle just as furiously to get more of that storyline as I was the rekindling of Liv and Adam’s romance.
This is the kind of love story that transcends age and time. Liv and Adam’s love may have been rooted in their youthful hopes and dreams, but even after that long, unavoidable separation, it was the kind of love that held fast and true despite all that happened to and between them and their time apart. Their reconnection was achingly bittersweet—the love they once shared was still there. But the outside forces were still there, too, plotting and planning, as they worked through their pain.
Amie Knight has outdone herself with this duet and has given her readers a truly memorable, timeless love story in the Stars Duet. I’ve been a fan of her writing since her first book, and I’ve loved every single one since that one, but this duet was something all-together different from her. Sweetly romantic, suspenseful and sexy, Amie Knight has penned a story that moved me, that made me smile, sigh and swoon, and that will stay with me for a long time to come. Five smooches from me!

Favorite Quote:
“Man, if I knew all it took was coffee to get a proclamation of love, I would have started with that sooner.” She took the coffee from my hand while holding up the blanket with the other and shot me a sassy look. “This isn’t just coffee, Adam. This is nectar of the gods.”
My Review:
Sizzle and snap, this was smokin’ hot and fever-inducing. While the first installment was angsty YA, the second half was adult-rated with breath-stealing sensuality and angsty adulting. Oddly, I didn’t seem to mind despite my abhorrence of constant contrived conflict. The characters were sympathetic and endearingly appealing while struggling with relevant issues, although I did want to give them each a few smacks to the back of the head from time to time. I adored Adam, he was such a romantic.
I’m not sure why I waited so long to read the conclusion of Livingston and Adam’s story!! It was epic! They are so relatable. I loved, loved, loved their story: their struggles, their victories, their love! I literally just sat and stared at the book for so long after reading it! It’s really hard to put into words just how much I loved this Duet! Definitely one of my top reads for sure!!
I enjoyed the story of Livingston and Adam. Going back into Beneath His Stars (Book 1) is where we meet them. The years have changed them both but the spark between them still remains. It is not a smooth journey but one that will leave you breathless, wring every last emotion from the reader and leave you feeling the love at the end. I loved this duet and would recommend it wholeheartedly. Author Knight NEVER takes a short cut and gives the reader all the feel
Wow. The conclusion to Livingston and Adam’s tumultuous love story left me breathless. I felt like I had just run a marathon, definitely an emotional roller coaster. I thought I loved these two before, but I now realize that was just a preview of the depth of what I feel for them. At this time I can’t tell you much about the book itself, as I just want to spoil the heck out of it! Just know that this is pure Amie Knight magic!
I loved Liv and Adam I’m Beneath his Stars and couldn’t wait for the conclusion of their love story. These characters are so well written you feel the story along with them. All the high points and the low. These two are wonderful together. Don’t miss out on this duet. This is book two and the final half so you have to read Beneath His Stars first. You will not be disappointed. This has all the feels and a HEA.
This is the second part of this amazing duet. It’s set many years later when they are adults. They can get their happily ever after. I strongly recommend this duet.
What an emotionally charged conclusion to such an epic love story. Adam & Liv had such an amazing chemistry. It was a beautifully captivating second chance romance. I couldn’t put it down once I began.
This is the second book in the series and book 1 needs to be read first!
Adam Nova was from the wrong side of town and fell for a girl from the right side but others had problems with it and forced them apart. Now 10 years later he is back in town hoping to get his girl back.
Livingston Montgomery was forced to leave town after getting involved with Adam but after finishing school she came back and moved to the “wrong side of town” with Adam’s former best friend Raven. She is surprised when Adam returns but is hurt that he hasn’t made any contact with her since he left.
As Adam and Liv confront issues from the past, it is clear that Adam wants revenge on Sheriff Rothchild for taking away so much from him. Can Liv and Adam clear up the past to get back the love they once shared?
OMG – I was left hanging after the first book and I was so excited to get my hands on the conclusion!!
There was so many hurt feelings at the beginning of this book due to both Adam and Liv never reaching out to the other for the past 10 years but I love when they finally really communicate and the truth begins to come out.
I loved both Adam and Liv and wanted them together no matter what it took but there was so much that had happened between them and things had to come out before they could have their happy ever after.
I was so happy when other charcters began to tell the truth about the past and things centered around one character and the trouble they caused. I was shocked at what happened to Mel and that whole scene. Absolutely heartbreaking!!
Every time more of truth came out I was happier and happier. The love between Adam and Liv was still there and I was freaking a little when Mel and Liv got away to deal with everything.
The end was absolutely awesome and I loved it!!!
This author is definitely one of my favorites as my heart goes through such a journey on every single one of her books!
Amie Knight is back! Concluding her wonderful duet, In Her Space does not disappoint and delivers a beautiful yet tragic love story. After the harrowing end of the first book, I was curious to know the unfolding story of Adam and Livingston.
With Liv in boarding school and Adam in prison, the book jumps in ten years, showing what happened to the two characters. The two have changed a lot, that’s a fact. Liv became practical and objective. The girl who looked at the stars does not exist anymore. Adam went through hell, managed to survive, studied, created a very famous app and now he is a wealthy businessman. Liv wants to forget and move on. Adam wants revenge. Ten years between them. And the two have no contact.
Liv now works at the observatory. Back on the island, she cut off contact with everyone. And when she thought her life was taking a peaceful pace, the news that Adam is back and now is her boss, causes Liv’s carefully constructed structure to shake.
Adam returned to the island. But now he is the happy owner of a mansion on the “rich side.” His revenge plan is his only goal, but seeing Liv awakens old feelings. Will this unlucky lovers be able to restore a love of adolescence so strong that it was written in the stars?
Liv and Adam were once again victims of various misunderstandings. The two walked away, once again by sheriff’s frames (I hate this man) and believed that one did not want the other. It took a while for the two to talk about what they were feeling, but they did eventually. The two love each other. In a crude way, without limit, without frontier, without explanation. That kind of rare love, based on an intensity of feelings.
Some twists and turns happen in the plot. We have the explanation for Sebastian’s behavior, we see another side of the characters, hitherto unknown.
The big villain is still the sheriff, and his madness provokes the book’s greatest tragedy. What happened to him was deserved. He paid in the same currency for his crimes. It was Shakespearean. Georgina could have suffered more.
The part of Adam’s app and the investor was a brilliant plot of the author. In Her Space closes the story of Adam and Liv in a memorable way. Their love is epic. It was filled with anguish, pain, suffering. But even with all that happened, the flame never faded, only intensified. The thousands of stars made by Adam brought tears to my eyes.
I say goodbye to this reading with a light hearted heart, teary-eyed and the certainty that fairy tales exist – only they are real, sometimes painful, but they are worth it.
I have read several Amie Knight books , and I love her way of writing perfectly imperfect characters that steal your heart. In Her Space was the perfect conclusion to the Stars Duet. Your heart strings were pulled and then mended back together with the love between Adam and Liv.
“And I saw him—deep in the depths of this cold man’s eyes was my boy with the tattoos.”
This was her dance and be damned but she was choosing her own partner Adam Nova. The tattooed older bad boy from the mainland. It was a magical night as they danced for hours in each other’s arms under the makeshift stars. Spending this momentous occasion with Adam was like a dream come true, until it wasn’t. It became a nightmare when Liv was ushered off to finish high school miles away by her stepmother. Adam was framed and sentenced for seven years for breaking and entering into Liv’s house by the chief of police.
Ten years later he’s a different person, he’s not the tattooed bad boy with stars in his eyes. Now he’s a multimillionaire and he’s just bought the Planetarium. Liv is a mess and has to face her new boss at a fundraiser. She is as in love with him today as she was ten years ago. Liv was heartbroken when Adam didn’t come to see her or try to contact her when he was released from prison after three years. He’s kept his distance and now they have a huge void to overcome! Adam holds his cards close to his chest and Liv is hurt because he is holding back from her.
What a great duet, I really enjoyed it. I loved everything with the stars, it was so cool. Adult Adam had me feeling all sorts of things in the beginning. My cold dead heart was hurting, but it was worth it. I liked the authors writing style so I’ll for sure check out her other books.
Wow another 5 star for Amie Knight.
I loved this whole duet. I just lived Adam & Livingston. After that cliffhanger in book 1 I couldn’t wait to start In Her Space. This book was full of all kinds of emotions and suspense. I just loved it. This duet will be added to my top reads of 2018.
Until we meet again under the stars
*I received an arc for an exchange for my honest review*
When they said that IN HER SPACE is a stunning conclusion, you heard them right. Indeed, the last book of this duet will bring you to the edge of your seats.
This book was worth waiting for. Finally – the both of them are older, way past their legal age. But the feelings – it was still there. Despite the pain of the past, and what happened between the two of them. Adam was no longer the poor dreamer – he was rich now, and he owns the Planetarium where Livingston was working.
Livingston followed her dreams. She was out of her stepmother’s clutches, living with Adam’s best friend, working both as a social worker and in the planetarium. She was almost content with her life. There was only one missing. One man. A man who was here now, and she wasn’t really ready to face, but had no choice. Will they have their second chance now? Or all will remain in the past?
If you haven’t read both books, I suggest you read it now, especially that the final book is here. This duet is simply breathtaking, especially the last book. The reference to the stars and skies is still there, but it’s more of the maturity of every characters that you met in the previous book. Those people you hated earlier, you’d learn to sympathize with them, or you’d probably like them. The evil is still there, but this time, people you don’t expect will fight it – does. The sides shifted, and the previous enemies are now friends. The story went flawlessly, albeit some bumps and u-turns along the way.
Amie Knight knows how to build anticipation, puts twists in the most unexpected times and gives your heart a reprieve in the end.
This is my first time reading Amie Knight, and I enjoyed everything about this duet. In the first book, Beneath His Stars, the hero and heroine are young adults with very different lifestyles who meet by chance and slowly and sweetly fall in love, but their heartfelt feelings aren’t enough to battle the outside forces that conspire to keep them apart. They are the ultimate star-crossed lovers and experience heartbreak that pushes them in different directions. They never stop loving each other and have a second chance when they’re reunited 10 years later in In Her Space, but they have to work through past hurts while also facing new challenges. I loved witnessing the evolution of their relationship from youth to adulthood. This emotional and sexy romance has unexpected twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. I’ll definitely be reading more from Amie Knight!

ARC provided, but this review was voluntarily and honestly written.
Good lord Amie Knight has just become a favorite of mine. The first part enchanted me and the conclusion between Adam and Livvy is just wow. The love they have for each other years ago is still there and boy Amie Knight just pulls you in with Adam. Livvy have to say has matured in a way where she has lost her ability to dream with the stars. I love how Adam is there guiding, loving and showing her it is never too late to dream again. Loved it.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
Earlier this month, I read and reviewed the first book of this duet, Beneath His Stars. The story of star-crossed lovers, Adam and Livingston, drew me right in and I was intrigued to read more. After receiving a small glimpse of the second book, In Her Space, I was especially curious about the course Adam’s life would take.
Beneath His Stars is the story of Adam Nova and Livingston Montgomery, two young people from two different worlds connected by a bridge. Adam lives in Madison, a place overrun with “homelessness, prostitution, and drugs” while Liv resides on an island just off the coast in the town of Saint Ashley, where life is more than comfortable. It is privileged.
As they fall for one another, both Liv and Adam are aware of the odds. Both are intelligent and thoughtful characters, vowing that no one and nothing will interfere with their love. It is them against the world, and the world is full of characters who are determined to break them apart.
Adam’s greatest enemy, the local sheriff, and Liv’s stepmother have teamed up to separate the young couple with devastating results. The two are driven apart for a decade, with Adam spending several years in prison and Liv shipped away to finish school. When their early attempts to reunite are also thwarted, Liv and Adam move on with their lives, each believing that the other has spurned their love.
But even so, the magnetic pull between these two is undeniable. After college, Liv has returned to work at the planetarium that was such an important influence in Adam’s life. Rather than moving back to her luxurious childhood home, she chooses to live in Madison, sharing a modest apartment with Adam’s former best friend, Raven. Meanwhile, Adam has spent the past decade making a success of himself. When he returns home, hellbent on seeking revenge, he deliberately moves into one of the biggest homes on the elite island of Saint Ashley. Adam is hardworking, and determined to confront those who did their best to ruin his life. Consumed by guilt for what happened to Adam, Liv now concentrates her efforts on helping others in Madison overcome their socioeconomic obstacles.
It is inevitable that Adam and Liv will cross paths, and when they do, neither is sure how best to move forward. There is an abundance of awkward tension as these two are consumed by the lingering hold of first love. Liv is now less of a dreamer and more of a realist, trying her best to keep Adam at arm’s length. Adam quickly recognizes Liv’s instincts to retreat from him, but he is tenacious. What remains to be seen is if Adam and Liv can recapture the magic of their youth and rediscover their love for one another.
In Her Space is a worthy conclusion to Adam and Livingston’s story. While I ultimately felt that more of my heart was invested in the first book of this duet, the second installment offered a compelling storyline. Adam and Liv have been through so much together, and through so much apart, that they couldn’t automatically fall back into each other’s arms. There was no returning to the wide eyed wonder of Beneath His Stars, but the author did a great job of bringing these two wounded souls back together. They have evolved into independent adults, each with their own goals and philosophies, so it was impossible not to ask “what if” these two hadn’t been ripped apart in their youth. However, I did finish this series with a sense of true satisfaction for Adam and Liv. A couple well worth spending your time with.
Second in the duet series and follow up of Beneath His Stars.
If you have not read Beneath his Stars book 1 in the stars duet…STOP! DROP AND GO READ THAT BAD BOY!
After ten years apart. Our new age Romeo and Juliet aka Adam and Liv find themselves back together. Dealing from the hurt, pain and misunderstanding caused by the lies that have festered. But one constant remains… their love for each other.
Faster paced follow up, filled with all the list and love and chemistry that you would expect from the queen of feels… with a great big dollop of MORE!
After the somewhat cliffy cliff hanger.. and being left to deal with the fall out… I was wondering how these two would ever be able to return to the love they had…and since #Nospoilers! I will leave you to red and find out… but what I will say is there is lots of action and suspense and a few ‘hellos/cameos’ from some dear loved peeps… again #Nospoilers
Hold on to your hats peeps because this book is on
“He was the love of my life. He was my biggest tragedy.”
In Her Space is the explosive conclusion to The Stars Duet that will consume you heart and soul. You cannot read it as a standalone so if you haven’t read Beneath His Stars yet, you need to start there.
Adam and Liv were the star-crossed young lovers were who seperated years ago but here’s the thing about those type of lovers…they don’t give up. In Her Space picks up 10 years after Beneath His Stars ends and I’m loving the time frame that was given. 10 years is a long time and it’s what was needed in order to show that no matter how life can shape/change people, true love remains constant.
Their reunion isn’t easy. In fact it’s painful and full of emotions but we have to fight for what we want the most, right? 29 year old Adam knows what he wants and he will do anything to protect Liv, just like he would and did when he was 19. Now he’s just more successful and has an agenda to right the wrong. When Liv comes back into his life, he knew it wasn’t over and he fought hard to make sure she knew that. Although, there is a lot going on to stand in the way of that.
There really isn’t too much to say because it’s one of those stories that just needs to be experienced on your own. I felt like this conclusion gave us the perfect build up and results that was needed and really pushed my emotions all over the place. It made me feel and it has one of those moments where the title becomes 100% clear with the true meaning and it melts your heart.
The Stars Duet is a beautiful love story that will make you fall in love with the stars and Liv and Adam’s path underneath them. I hight recommend it.
