I was reunited with Livingston Montgomery in the broad sunshine of a Carolina morning, right where she belonged; in the light. It’d been too long since I’d seen her face. She had changed, but so had I. I was Adam Nova, reformed bad boy. Now, successful business man. I had it all, except for the one person I’d always wanted, and now I was back to claim her. She was living in the shadows, just a … the shadows, just a shell of the former girl I knew.
But it didn’t matter that she tried to hide from me in the dark.
I’d follow her into the deepest depths of hell.
I just wanted to be In Her Space.

What an epic finale to this duet! Amie knight stole my heart with the first book, and then filled it to overflowing with this one. Adam and Liv have the most incredible, heart melting, span all time, unending love that captures you instantly in both of these books. I don’t want to be to detailed for anyone who hasn’t read the first book yet, but as most know when it comes to duets the previous book left us hanging on what the future was for these two.
With many hurdles from both past and present standing between them, these two had so much to fight through and for when it came to their love. Tables have turned and lives are changed, but the epic love that Adam and Liv have still remains. So many twists and so much emotion all play right along with the romance that grabs your heart making an unputdownable read!
In Her Space is the brilliant conclusion to the Stars Duet following on from Beneath His Stars. Amie just smashed this book out of the park for me, it had me constantly held on an emotional edge of pain and loss ready to ball my eyes out at any moment. Why? All because the magic between Adam and Liv had diminished and I was ready for them to fight for each other – and they do.
Needless to say the story completely sucked me in, there is so much angst and plenty of surprises from secondary characters. Getting to know Adam and Liv as the people past events have made them was refreshing. I was rooting for them to figure things out, see if they can overcome their history and learn to love the new versions of themselves. Adam and Liv are soul mates personified they both never stopped loving each other; but this novel tells the story of them having to fall in love with the people they are now and that is one rocky road that I could not stop reading.
This the second and final book in The Stars Duet, and after reading Beneath His Stars, I was SOO excited to get this book as BHS ends in a cliffhanger. BHS is everything you would want in a YA romance novel, but both Adam & Liv seem so much older than they are even in that story. But, I really liked how In Her Space felt more like an adult novel – they are older, and the changes in both of them and their friends were exciting.
After reading the Prologue, I was shocked, disappointed and then excited when reading the first Chapter of this book and realized it takes place several years down the road. My heart immediately broke for these two characters who were so in love with the other when I realized how much time they had lost together. However, the story picked up quickly and I was sitting at the edge of my seat eager for the reunion of these two soulmates. I have to say, I was a bit disappointed in their initial reunion – it was a surprise and I was mad, but luckily the story redeemed itself quickly.
Both Adam & Liv have changed tremendously over the years, and they have basically reversed roles with Adam now being the successful, determined businessman living on “the island”, and Liv living a simple life on the mainland – no longer star-gazing and dreaming, but just living. It was heartbreaking to read how this once ambitious dreamer had given up a lot of her dreams and Adam as well.
There is so much angst and push and pull with Adam & Liv, and it is clear as day to see how much chemistry, passion and love they still have for each other. I loved the tattoos, the messages in a bottle, the telescopes and pier, the blanket in the field, and the love notes on stars. All of these instances made me root for them harder and harder, and truly believe in their love. BUT, I was very disappointed and kept waiting and waiting for the right conversation and “confessions” to happen between them. Although their actions did convey their true feelings in the end, I walked away from this book frustrated that no real honest conversation had ever been had about their 10 years apart and Liv’s biggest fear. I still have questions in my mind as to why they each thought the way they did, and why they never fully addressed it all. But, I guess I just have to accept that their love was something so strong that they eventually had to let go of their past and build their future. They didn’t go back – only forward. I really, really wanted to give this one 5 stars, but although I loved these two characters together, I finished still hoping their secrets and truths would be set free.
In Her Space is the second book in The Stars Duet. The love story between Livingston Montgomery and Adam Nova continues after spending years apart. The moment they reunite the undeniable spark between them reignites and it is as if it was only yesterday that they were laying in their field under the stars.
Many things have changed in the last ten years, including Adam’s gorgeous looks. He is now more rugged and handsome than ever. Adam was once known as the tattooed kid from the poor side of town, but he is now the owner of a multi-million dollar company. Turning his life around will be nothing to celebrate if he isn’t able to win back the love of his life, so he returns to his hometown to prove himself to the people of his past.
Over the years, Liv has built a life of her own away from her estranged step-family who seek to take the inheritance she received from her father. She does her best to help those that are less fortunate and creates hope for children by working at the local planetarium. When she learns that Adam has purchased the planetarium and is also her new boss, she is overwhelmed by memories of their past rushing back.
Will Adam be able to prove to Liv that years apart haven’t changed his love for her? Or will secrets from their past drive them apart and ruin their chance at a happily ever after?
(I received an ARC of In Her Space from Amie Knight in exchange for my honest review.)
Oh – My – Word… I’m beyond thrilled with the conclusion! It was like Amie Knight wrote her words strait on my heart with the amount of feelings she put me through! I love the span of time that this story transcends. I feel myself wanting to ramble on about In Her Space so I’m going to make this short and sweet because… well I LOVED this book and everyone should buy this duet! Adam is just… swoon!! I loved how he took something important to him and Liv and built an empire on it. It just made it all seem so intense and so strong.
This is Amie Knight’s BEST writing to date. I’m absolutely in love with how she built up the climax and chemistry between Adam and Liv. If you’re looking for romance and heat… so. much. damn. heat than this is the best story of love, of forgiveness, of learning to let go and heal. Every single thing you wanted answers to in Beneath His Stars was answered and some of the things will knock you off your tootsies! I couldn’t believe Sebastian and Braden… I mean, totally shock! Completely thrilled with the writing and the pace of this story. I found in to be so incredibly heartfelt and sexy but also surprising! I would love to hear about some of the secondary characters! Ms. Knight gave us some fantastic characters.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
In Her Space is the perfect conclusion to The Stars Duet. I truly enjoyed Adam and Liv’s story, it’s beautifully written and I am sorry to see it end.
After ten years of being apart, Adam and Liv find their way back to the each other. However, their journey was not an easy one as it was very emotional and my heart would melt and break a little at the same time. Their faith and love for each other was certainly tested but remained unchanged.
The epilogue couldn’t have been better and it was everything I wanted and more. Not only do I highly recommend reading In Her Space but I also recommend reading the duet. Both are passionate and excellent books that you won’t want to put down.
***5 ‘Kiss Me Bravely’ Stars***
With the way things ended in Beneath His Stars I couldn’t wait to get my hands on In Her Space…well, that isn’t the entire truth. I wanted the book, badly, but I was also a little scared about what direction things may take because, let’s be honest, the cliffy at the end of BHS was pretty intense and things could have gone in any number of ways. But my curiosity about finding out what Liv and Adam would have to go through to get their HEA was stronger, so I dove in and I have to say I loved the path the author took them. I mean if devouring the book in only a couple of hours isn’t proof of how much I loved it, then I don’t know what is. It hooked me from the start and made me just a tinsy bit upset when the end came and there were no more words to read.
As with BHS, I ended up adoring the adults that Liv and Adam had grown into. Liv is a little more cynical when it comes to love and her future, but she’s still sassy and has a sweet, generous and compassionate soul. Adam was a surprise, a good one, he had everything taken from him and yet he came out of it all with his heart in tact. Anger and rage simmers beneath his skin, but it is focused on those who deserve it, not on life in general. Their reunion doesn’t happen smoothly and with secrets and assumptions hovering between them, it takes them a while to move forward, but the chemistry ~ that flow they had before their worlds exploded ~ is still there and just as intense as before and I really enjoyed how they found their way back to each other.
I must say, I really enjoyed this duet. The writing was engaging, pacing good and the dual first person POV’s were done well. All of the characters were well written and I loved catching up with them. And while I liked how everything was wrapped up, there was one situation that had me going “But…but…why??”. I know it is what it is, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it. But overall, this was a great read and that epilogue was perfect!

4.5 Perfect-Ending Stars!!!
I liked how this started off with the first book as a Young Adult and ended up with “grown up” characters you could see obvious growth in. Things certainly have changed since we last left these characters in Beneath His Stars. This is a well written story of regret, guilt, remorse, redemption, forgiveness and hope. It has a dash of suspense, a little sexy and a whole lot of “feeling”. I hated that neither Adam or Liv knew what really happened “that” night and Liv stopped looking at the stars. Some of my favorite things in this book:
** Livingston’s relationship with Raven (never expected)
** The truth behind Sebastian’s awful teenage behavior toward Livingston
** The friendship forged between Braden, Sebastian, Adam & Liv, the boardwalk
** The blanket
** The message in the bottle
** The Rose tattoo
** But the BEST was the way Liv made sure that Adam was taken care of
I absolutely LOVED this Duet!!!
“He was the love of my life. He was my biggest tragedy.” Beneath His Stars, the first book of this duet, left Liv and Adam in the most hopeless and desperate of situations. It’s ten years later, and after a decade of no contact, Adam is home. Now, if I were writing this book, Liv and Adam would fall into each other’s arms, dispel the years that separated them with one heated look, and be invincible together, obliterating every obstacle in their path. This is definitely NOT that book. While we do get the eventual happy ending, Knight takes us down into the trenches where assuaging guilt and healing old hurts is only part of the battle and the fight for love has evil enemies. While the stars shine brightly from the heavens, we follow Liv and Adam through the raw and real, the dark and dingy, the awful and the authentic as their hearts find their way back to each other. But have no fear, dear reader, this book is stunning, captivating and evocative, and it held me enraptured in its clutches, with my heart its willing and eager captive.
A lot can happen in ten years, and a lot can change. Liv and Adam are both very different people from the teenagers who fell in love all those years ago. But the thing that has not changed is the mating of their souls and the owning of the other’s heart. I had no idea what was in store on their road to forever, but it was thrilling, heart wrenching and glorious! Knight has a way of bringing her characters alive, inundating the reader’s senses with every detail and nuance of the story, filling her heart to bursting and securing a piece of her soul that belongs only to Liv and Adam long after the last page. She’ll put your heart through the wringer, toss your emotions to and fro, devastate and shatter you, and make you eternally grateful for having taken this journey. This duet is easily one of my top five reads for the year and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Your heart will be filled, the stars will shine a little brighter, and your soul will be forever touched by this epic love.
I needed this book! If you haven’t read book one Beneath His Stars, stop reading this now and go read it. It’s an experience. And now we have the second book to this duet. And it is as amazing. We continue the story of Adam and Livingston. It is ten years later. Adam and Livingston are different people but really aren’t different. The love they formed years ago is still as strong. But they are both stubborn. Adam has his secrets and Livingston has her walls up because of what she has fought against. As they slowly start to move towards being together again old demons are once again trying to keep them apart. Truths are coming out that really affect them.
This book two of this duet is beautiful. I love this duet so much. Adam and Livingston’s story is heart warming, heart wrenching, heart breaking and exactly what my heart has been craving. I felt like their pain, their hope, their dreams, their love and their fight for happiness. This author did an amazing job on making the reader fall in love right along with these characters. She also did an amazing job keeping the reader attached. Just when I thought I knew the story, surprises were revealed, characters I thought I had figured out proved me wrong and the suspense was addicting. This second book to the duet gives the reader what they need. I highly suggest this duet be read. This isn’t just a love story. This is a story of deciding your own destiny. This is a story of hope. This is a story that will break you and then put you back together again. Definitely a favorite of mine now.
I think that this duet is probably one of the most romantic books that I have read this year and I can’t even begin to explain how much I loved it.
The first book left me so sad and I could’t wait to see what happens next with Adam and Luna.
I’m not disappointed with this one.It was really amazing book and it took me one day to read it.
I got the answers to all the question from the previous book, some drama, angst and soooo much love.
Adam is still just as perfect in this book as in the previous one.
They are both adults now so this book wasn’t as dreamy as the first one. They are not kids anymore and life definitely had put a lot in their paths.
I loved the fact Liv never gave up on Adam or their love. And I loved the fact Adam loved her just as much.Even after decade apart they were still Adam and Liv,still in love and still stargazing.
The ending of this book was probably one of the most amazing things I have ever read.
This book was just brilliant.
I’m seriously in love with this two characters and their story and I would honestly recommend it to everyone.
Beneath His Stars ended on such a tragic cliffhanger. My poor heart wanted a quick resolution with In Her Space. Those first couple of pages I thought I was going to get it. Amie Knight had different plans and what she gave us was simply a lovely story.
Liv Montgomery is not the same girl. She’s grown and matured. She’s still got that sass, but some of her glow is gone.
Adam Nova isn’t the same boy. He’s paid his dues and is the kind of man he wants to be. He’s determined to get his Livvy back.
We’re taken through the paces, live their emotions and cheer them on. It’s a story with sweet romance, a little suspense, love and regret, forgiveness and hope.
3,701 “you can’t dream with your eyes open” stars
This author has once again brought us the most beautiful and captivating romance in the conclusion to the Stars duet.
After the cliffhanger ending of book one, I was afraid that the years following would not be kind to Adam, that he would’ve become tainted by the horror of his surroundings and turned into someone unrecognisable from that caring, sweet young man of 10 years ago. I worried that he would have become bitter and twisted, a shadow of his former self. It appears I underestimated his strength.
“And as I drifted off, I slipped into a field of dreams and a sky of hope. To the only place I wanted to be—in her space”
I wondered what those years had done to Livvy. Would she have lost her spark, her light, without her Nova?
“He was the love of my life. He was my biggest tragedy”
So many questions. You won’t find all the answers here in my review but I will say, whilst their light doesn’t shine quite as bright as it once did, it’s dimmed but not extinguished. Their love and longing, their need for each other, is still apparent. The spark is there just waiting to be reignited.
Although darker in parts than book one, In Her Space gave me all the emotions. Wonderfully written, it both shocks and tugs at your heartstrings. It’s full of love and regret, guilt, remorse and redemption. Adam has to work hard at times to prove himself and whilst on occasions I could have shaken Livvy because of her stubbornness, her feelings were real and honest and I had to laugh at her sassiness. Grown up Adam is one sexy man and I may have swooned and fanned myself on more than one occasion. He’s fierce in his determination and I love him for it.
This story is concluded with the most adorable epilogues, which made my heart swell with happiness and brought tears to my eyes. A gorgeous story, beautifully written. Everyone needs some Adam and Livvy in their lives and I cannot recommend this superb duet enough.
“Kiss me bravely. Kiss me like you mean it. Kiss me under the stars.”
Wow! What a phenomenal conclusion to this epic love story between Adam and Liv. I fell in love with them and was hooked when they were teenagers in Book 1, but now as adults 10 years later I am simply gobsmacked. There love was so huge, like infinite galaxies, that you just know that 10 years could do nothing to diminish their feelings for each other. They are truly meant to be. When they finally see each other again after all this time, things are not as easy as you hope they would be, but this journey to their happily ever after is one I would go on a thousand times over. Things get dicey for a bit but their story could never have anything but a happy ending after all they’ve endured. It is beautiful, amazing, captivating, sexy and sweet and positively life changing for both of them.
