The Golden Girls meet Dirty Harry…
When Lillian Summer Fairview’s husband up and dies on her, it leaves the last living member of the most prestigious family in the small town of Summer Shoals, Georgia, in a hot money mess. Desperate to keep up the family name and give the man a decent burial, penniless Lil cooks up a shady deal that lands her smack-dab in the slammer.
Burdened by her … slammer.
Burdened by her shameful secret and a crumbling family estate, Lil entrusts Summer Haven’s care to her best friend, Maggie, who recruits two more over-fifty ladies to help. But when Maggie discovers that Lil’s restitution is ten times the amount she “borrowed” from the federal government, she’s convinced Lil has taken the fall for someone else’s crime.
Will these gals be able to get some vigilante justice for Lil, or will the swindler get away with hoodwinking a sweet little old lady?

I loved the Southern humor and characters. I came to love these crazy women.
Just a fun read.
This was a fun read. Enjoyed it very much.
I love the southern sitting and can’t wait to read more of her books. A fun easy escape book for an afternoon read.
Did not care for this book. The characters were not very interesting and I almost dreading reading the whole thing.
This book has fun and is funny…..a surprise is in it too.
Entertaining, but predictable. The characters were likeable & that’s what kept me wanting & hoping for more.
I enjoyed it immensely, but it was done before I was.
Aside from the author introducing a character that wasn’t at all necessary or integral to the plot, Julie Cady (or whatever her name was), the story was a good one. That character served no real purpose.
Loved this book. Ready for the next one!
Here we have the beginnings of a wonderful clique of sleuths. they are certain to keep me entertained every time.
One of the best books I’ve read and I laughed and enjoyed it so much.
I loved this book about three old ladies about my age. Seems like most books these days are hot steamy love novels about young people. It was a treat to read about these three ladies who proved that old age doesn’t mean stupid or senile.
They proved to everyone that they could use their skills and intelligence to solve crimes as well or better than the good looking hunks that usually do. And they didn’t have to use sex to accomplish it.
