The Golden Girls meet Dirty Harry…
When Lillian Summer Fairview’s husband up and dies on her, it leaves the last living member of the most prestigious family in the small town of Summer Shoals, Georgia, in a hot money mess. Desperate to keep up the family name and give the man a decent burial, penniless Lil cooks up a shady deal that lands her smack-dab in the slammer.
Burdened by her … slammer.
Burdened by her shameful secret and a crumbling family estate, Lil entrusts Summer Haven’s care to her best friend, Maggie, who recruits two more over-fifty ladies to help. But when Maggie discovers that Lil’s restitution is ten times the amount she “borrowed” from the federal government, she’s convinced Lil has taken the fall for someone else’s crime.
Will these gals be able to get some vigilante justice for Lil, or will the swindler get away with hoodwinking a sweet little old lady?

I enjoyed this book immensely. Humurous original characters involved in unlikely dilemmas. Easy reading. Rather reminds me of Senior, Southern Stephanie Plum.
What a fun, clever group of characters. It truly made my eyes bulge at times and had me laughing hard in other spots. Silly funny.
Plot a bit trite
Enjoyed this book! Funny and lots of action
I loved the “ladies of a certain age” taking on a mystery. Miss Marple would have loved them!
complicated, incredible situations
LOVED this book!! Loved the characters and the twists and turns the book took. Highly recommend it.
funny, predictable. Old or not, you still have a lot to deal with. And of course you have your friends who will always jump in to help you out, and bail you out. Makes you feel good kind of read.
I enjoyed this easy read. It was hard to put down & keep to a couple chapters at a time between home activities. The characters were funny, interesting & delightful. I really enjoyed reading this & look forward to reading more about these spunky ladies & the people around them.
Four older women, not at all alike, and yet able to work together and take care of each other. A very pleasant read, and a satisfying end to the first in the series.
I enjoyed this one! Fun! I didn’t know where it was going for a little bit, so I enjoyed the mystery. I loved seeing the characters interact and enjoyed each one’s voice. Fun, quick read.
Very funny, lots of fun!

Different read with seniors kicking butt.

Didn’t care much for it. Sort of juvenile.
