The Scoop
By now you’re probably aware that the Alex Troutt thrillers, Ivy Nash thrillers, and the Ozzie Novak thrillers are all under the same Redemption Thriller Series umbrella. Why? Because, ultimately, they all connect — Alex, Ivy, Ozzie. How? That’s part of the mystery that I’m slowly unveiling throughout the Redemption Thriller Series.
Through each sub-series, characters from different books appear in the other novels. If it adds suspense, intrigue, or even a good laugh, I’ve included a cross-over character — it’s a lot more fun that way. Plus — and here’s the real kicker — the final six novels will bring all of the major characters together — Alex, Ivy, Ozzie. It will be explosive and gut-wrenching…in a way that will leave you breathless.more
This was an excellent book. was rooting for main character Ivy and her friends well written and definitely kept my attention. Good twists
Great read, highly recommended.
Mr. Mefford has written a whole series of books that culminate in one final explosive novel. Check his website on Amazon and see all the series that form a major series. Recommended
I give this book 5 stars , Kath
Kind of depressing
Good mystery about child abude.
People grew as a result of the action in this book and some defined a new Raison D’etre for themselves. Would enjoy going on to see them enjoy a measure of success in their new avocations. Not everything ends well but enough ends on a positive note for the reader to feel very satisfied.
Good writing but story was disturbing.
Kept you turning the pages
This book is a series of 6….I have read every one and felt reading the last one he End’ that I would truly miss the characters . I wanted it to go on and on…..I could not put them down …..
I really like this character, IVY. I could not wait to see what was going to happen next. Another book that was hard to put down and kept me up late reading. I totally recommend this and would like to read more by this author.

I found it to be a really good read. Ivy is a good character with lots of compassion.
Great story line!
I liked the main character, a strong woman a survivor who cares .
Really enjoyed this book. I hope to read more.
1. inaccuracies – squirrels do not scurry at night – they are diurnal! and, as a civil servant, a CPS worker cannot be fired that easily!
2. excessive gratuitous exploitive (it’s in the dictionary, Spell Checker!) violence, both physical and sexual, impedes the flow of the story line – reads like romance magazines of yore and borders on trashy!
3, in some aspects, story is predictable.
4. I would not bother to read any more books in this series, and in all likelihood would avoid other books by this author.
The characters And storyline held my interest from beginning to end. I hope to find many books by this author. I love being a book bun member.
In Defiance was extremely well written with strong well- developed characters, plot, and stakes. This book had plenty of action, twists, and suspense.
Though my first John W Mefford book, In Defiance, will not be my last.
Compelling and readable. Sympathetic characters. Well written.
This wasn’t a bad book but it brought back to many memories of my teenage friends stories about foster homes. It is a sad fact that children suffer the most and now its even worse with all the drugs.
