“In Case You Didn’t Know” is a great addition to the Magnolia Sound series. Samantha Chase, I think, outdid herself again. The series keeps getting better and better. Mason, the smothered son of the Bishop family, is breaking free from his family running his life. Telling him how to act, and who to date. Tension runs high with his snooty class conscious mother. Scarlett the tomboy woman raised by her dad and three brothers doesn’t believe she is love worthy especially from Mason Bishop but as they say, opposites attract.
ICYDK is well-written, grabs you from word one and won’t let go. I loved this book and recommend this and all of the series to date.
It’s Mason’s turn. He’s watched his cousins find their happily ever after and now it is his turn. It is his turn to look into his heart and find what he needs to make himself happy. He’s followed the path that his parents have set for him all his life and is FINALLY! standing up for himself and making his own choices.
Samantha Chase has taken a geeky, awkward character and made him into someone that fits in, knows his own worth, and is willing to take risks to make those who are important to him happy. He makes so many changes in his life, all while staying true to himself, to figure out what is important. He has been stereo cast as a snobby, spoiled boy who’s parents dote on him but what people don’t know is that he doesn’t want them to dote on him. He wants them to let him go and find his own way in life.
Scarlett is the person who opens his heart but she struggles to see past his upbringing. I loved how their relationship was easy, it wasn’t horribly hard either. They worked it all out, struggled to find their way together, and figured out what was important to them as individuals and as a couple.
In Case You Didn’t Know is a great addition to the Magnolia Sound series. This is book #3. The first two books do not have to be read to enjoy this one but I found it nice that I was familiar with the other characters.
I just knew Mason was going to have me swooning and sure enough he did! …and he found a feisty and sexy love interest to keep him on his toes. Scarlett Jones is not what he was looking for but she was just what he needed and to think this spitfire with a chip on her shoulder would be it for him who would have figured. Just when you think you have this one figured out, BAM, there is more. Definitely a keeper in this series and the rest of the family shows up and we are introduced to Scarlett’s brothers. Hope they show up in more books!
Samantha Chase has written the most amazing, phenomenal, knock your socks off story. I love Magnolia Sound and all it’s residents. She takes us on a journey and it is always breathtaking and magical.
In Case You Didn’t Know is Mason Bishop’s story. Mason is more down to earth than meets the eye. Scarlett Jones is a tomboy who was raised by her dad and brothers. Scarlett knows Mason and his family and has judged them. She believes everything comes easy for them because of their money. From the moment they are together you can see their chemistry. I really enjoyed watching Mason grow. I loved seeing him face his struggles and overcome them. I must admit up until this story I did not care for Mason or his parents. However I actually adore Mason and I like his parents much more now. Mason and Scarlett are amazing together.
Samantha Chase created a magical world. Her stories are always bestselling. When she puts pen to paper her words always dance off the paper and into my heart. I cried, laughed, felt annoyed and frustrated and even had some srious hearswooning moments. I could not put the book down. I have read In Case You Didn’t Know twice now. I love the secondary characters and loved catching up with characters from previous stories. In Case You Didn’t Know is richly detailed and written with great compassion. Samantha Chase reminded me why I love reading. Samantha Chase captivated my heart and soul from word one, page one. I felt as if I were actually in Magnolia Sound and not just reading the story. Phenomenal. Samantha Chase’s best book to date. Grab a copy of In Case You Didn’t Know and fall in love with Magnolia Sound and Mason and Scarlett as so many others have. You won’t be able to put it down.
Samantha Chase gives us a wonderful romance that will touch your heart and leave you with a smile on your face. Mason and Scarlett’s story shows us how wrong our preconceived notions of others can be so completely opposite of what is true. How we can think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence and feel others have it so good and perfect while shutting ourselves off from truly getting to know a person based on who they are inside and not what the portray to the world.
I will admit, I had an opinion about Mason from the two previous books in this series and Ioved how Samantha proved her point even to me, a reader. To see him put his foot down and take control of his life was inspiring. And, oh my, the cheesy pick-up lines had me laughing my butt off!
I love Scarlett’s sass and tough-girl attitude, and especially loved when she showed her girly-girl side. I didn’t care for her attitude regarding Mason’s family and their privilege to cloud her judgement and allow those feelings to alter her feelings toward Mason and who he truly was and to believe the worst about him. But, then again, that is those preconceived notions she’s grown up believing and held true.
The growth between these characters is refreshing and inspiring, and their romance is beautiful. I fell in love with them and know you will as well. The Magnolia Sound series is a wonderful series full of amazing people and I cannot wait for the next book!
5 Getting a Chance at Love You Never Thought Was Possible Stars!
This is book three in Ms. Chase’s Magnolia Sound series and with each book I fall more and more in love with the town and its residents. This book centers around Mason and Scarlett. Mason’s grandfather has left him Mystic Magnolia, the local bar/pub with no real reasoning that he can figure out. And oh my, Scarlett is a woman that’s discovering what it means to break-out of her shell seeing as she’s always been a tomboy, and given the fact that she has four brothers, this isn’t surprising.
When these two run into each other at a concert it seems like destiny or Pops may have a hand in bringing these two together. This story is really the quintessential opposites attract, wrong side of the tracks story because Mason and Scarlett were both raised so differently. What Ms. Chase has done so wonderfully is show us how two people can change and for the right reasons. I’m not going to lie and not admit my heart broke a little bit for Mason as his family “makes him work for their love and acceptance” whereas Scarlett’s family is all about love and supporting one another!
With each chapter I read, I adored Mason and Scarlett and how their relationship grew and seeing that true love can change someone from the inside out. Watching Scarlett bloom and Mason finding his place in his family and the town was a true journey of joy for me and I cannot wait for the next book in this amazing series!!
In Case You Didn’t Know Book 3 in the Magnolia Sound
5 +++++ Stars
Very good story! Surely didn’t disappoint. I love the characters!
“If I had to choose between breathing or loving you. I would say ‘ I love you’ with my last breath.”
I really love this series! I highly recommend!
This is the third in Samantha Chase’s beloved Magnolia Sound series. I have been delighted by each book that comes, each telling a new story of a different family member, thus making it nice to have read all in the series, but not a necessity. Each book I love even more. This is the wonderful story of Mason and Scarlett, who are very different in their background, family dynamic and social structure. However, it doesn’t matter when it comes to love and their story is just that feel-good one that everyone loves to have. Their story from the beginning grabs you, delving into that there’s more to them than the other realizes.
As always, again, Samantha Chase writes an outstanding love story!!!
In Case You Didn’t Know finally gives us Mason’s story who we’ve seen in the previous books in this AMAZING series. Mason realizes that he wants more out of life that he’s never going to make his mother happy so he moves out on his own . He’s always liked Scarlett but she wasn’t good enough for his family. Scarlett doesn’t want anything to do with Mason she thinks he’s too entitled. They run into each other at a concert and his mind is made up Scarlett is the one for him. Can these two overcome the obstacles-his family, her preconceived notions, Mason’s cheesy pickup lines? This book was my favorite in the series and a perfect example of the heroes you find in Ms. Chase’s books in that there’s more to them than what you see and this is what makes her books so INCREDIBLE!! She really takes us on beautiful emotional journeys that she is a master of creating. Nobody writes these genuine heartfelt relationship stories better than Samantha Chase. I would definitely recommend this book and the series if you haven’t read the previous two books. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of this book.
If you follow this series then you’ve met Mason Bishop already, superficially and in the background. Now we get to the real Mason. And he turns out to be a heck of a guy. All it took was for him to break the family bonds and move forward in his own path.
Mason and Scarlett aren’t strangers. They’ve known each other since lower school, but they come from very different worlds. They’re on opposite sides of the tracks, as they say. Mason doesn’t care. He’s going after his HEA, full force ahead!
Excellent heartwarming story with all the things you’d expect from a small-town romance … everyone knowing everything and having an opinion about it LOL From the aloof well to do to the gossipy not so well to do, they are all entertaining. This is a story of breaking barriers and perceptions. Getting past the outer judgement of someone and looking inside them for their truth. It’s a story two people that on paper are unlikely to succeed but inside their hearts, they are perfectly suited for one another. They bring the best of each other to the surface. Well done!
Oh Mason! I didn’t think I could love you more than your cousins Mallory and Sam…but I was so wrong! From his cheesy pickup lines to his big heart, Mason is all things sweet, funny and very sexy. But he has an uphill climb to get Scarlett to take his courting seriously, because he’s from the wrong side of the tracks…the rich side!
Scarlett is letting Mason’s privileged background blind her to his kind and honest soul. She was quite the opposite snob, not wanting to believe in him because his life is so different than hers. And even though I wanted to shake her, I loved this smart, loyal, badass, even as she misjudged my newest book boyfriend!
As always when reading a Samantha Chase book, I’m losing sleep and being kept up past my bedtime…because I could not put it down! Maybe I need to read while the sun is still out! As I say with most stand-alone but from a series books, In Case You Didn’t Know can be read on its own…but pick up the others, too. Enjoy your own binge-read session and see who your favorite is!
Thanks to the publisher for the ARC, all opinions are my own and this review was left voluntarily
I really enjoyed this story and I have to say Mason was full of surprises I wasn’t expecting, he is definitely worthy of being a Samantha Chase hero. From their encounter at the concert, to his cheesy lines (which you have to admit, he had some good ones), to their getting to know each other and everything in between, these two were just meant to be together. I liked getting to know these two in depth and they each had many layers that made them even more amazing characters. I was especially impressed when Scarlett went to see Mason’s mother and who knew that would be the wake-up call Georgia needed to hopefully turn her attitude around, we’ll see. This was an amazing story with a lot of surprises and it was fun seeing our old friends and meeting new friends and it is a great addition to the Magnolia Sound series. My favorite line from this book was, Practical can be good. But sometimes it’s fun to be a little . . . impulsive. Can’t wait for the next book.
Every time I think I have found my new favorite book boyfriend along comes Samantha Chase with new characters. Mason is funny and not really the rich kid everybody thinks he is. His pick up lines are so cheesy and funny and will have you laughing and rolling your eyes at the same time. Scarlett is the girl that speaks before she realizes just what she said. They make the perfect couple. Add in her grandpa, brothers, and grandpa and you just can’t help but love this family. Mason’s mom has you hating her until Scarlett helps her find her happiness again!! This series just keeps making you want more of this town and characters.
5 Star Review of In Case You Didn’t Know (Magnolia Sound #3) by Samantha Chase
I was intrigued by Mason Bishop from the first time he appeared in the series. I knew that the woman who would capture his heart would have to be unique and someone special; that is certainly Scarlett Jones. Although this can be read as a stand alone, I recommend that you also one click the other books in the series as they are just as enjoyable.
Mason has finally flown the coop and gotten his own place after living way to long with his parents who stifled him.
Scarlett is shocked when at a concert Mason notices her and asks her on a date, after all he is the rich man around town and she is just a poor girl from the wrong side of the tracks; she is even more shocked when she agrees.
Scarlett has a chip on her shoulder and the walls she has built around her to protect her heart will make it hard for Mason to get through, however if any one can do it Mason can.
I loved how Mason’s attention brings out Scarlett’s inner strength, determination and how she blossoms and his attention. I also loved how all in Scarlett was in her support of Mason and her family.
Mason and Scarlett appear to be total opposites and yet they really do belong together. Can Mason and Scarlett make their relationship work, or is it destined to be destroyed by the interference of Mason’s mother?
In Case You Didn’t Know is a romantic, hot, love story that was heartwarming. I was so happy that they were able to navigate through all the issues they both had and get their happily ever after.
This is one brilliant, heartwarming, incredibly sexy, and an emotional story. Full of family, forgiveness, acceptance and love. Mason and Scarlett were fantastic characters. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them connect and learn about their histories.
Mason is so not what I thought he would be. He is so, sweet, funny, kind, down to earth, caring and so not what everyone perceive him to be.
Scarlett is strong and feisty, but what she really wanted to be was a girly-girl, that no one thought she could be. Scarlett struggles with the fact that she feels less than and project that into being a reverse snob with quite an attitude at times.
I loved their chemistry, that sizzling heat that started with their first kiss. I loved all of Mason’s cheesy pick-up lines. And I loved, that Mason proved his love and worth to Scarlett. But I really, really loved seeing the man that Mason is and how his grandfather knew who he was all along.
Each of these books in the Magnolia Sound series just capture and melt my heart. Can’t wait for the next one!
Well, I knew she would keep doing it! Every new book gives me a new favorite couple. There have been several series of different authors that have made me actually wish I could live in the make believe town. This is one of those.
I would love to be besties with Scarlet and Lena. I know I would love the animal rescue sanctuary and the pub burgers would keep me “healthy”.
This is a wrong side of the tracks trope but it’s the girl from the wrong side and not the guy, which is a little different. Scarlet feels the pressure but when she confronts Mason’s mom, her heroine status goes through the roof.
If you haven’t read earlier books in the Magnolia Sound series, you can still appreciate this story but do yourself a favor and catch up with the earlier two stories and prequel. The families are a lot to follow and you get right into it from the very beginning. Plus Samantha has some of the best jigsaw puzzles on the internet!!!!!
How I’ve eagerly awaited for this story and I was definitely not disappointed!! This is a book I will read over and over again while various parts will come to mind in an instant. IT WAS FABULOUS!!! I loved how I got to know Mason more deeply. While at first, I wasn’t sure about Scarlett and Mason together, I absolutely cannot see them with anyone else. I definitely did not want it to end but couldn’t turn the pages fast enough either. You will absolutely love this story!! <3 Thank you so much, Samantha Chase, for writing this story and all of the Magnolia Sound novels.
Mason we have read about, whom I did not really care for but in this book you get the true Mason, and he won my heart over. Mason just moved out on his own, away from his over powering mother when he runs into Scarlett at a local concert. They have known each other from middle school but they grew up on the opposite side of the tracks. Scarlett never though she was good enough for Mason and his well to do family, but soon Mason will win her over. Scarlett has many insecurities that she needs to overcome through out the story.
Mason has become my new book boyfriend, his one liners are so much fun. He has a heart of gold to Scarlett and her family. He appears alpha but his really inner is beta. Scarlett appears tough on the outside but once she learns the true Mason, her heart opens up the softness.
This is the third book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. I’m in love with Magnolia Sound, such emotional heartwarming stories. I can’t wait to read more!!
New Favorite of the Series!
Mason has gone from being the butt of Sam and Mallory’s jokes to being Sam’s friend and sounding board to being a man he and his great-grandfather are proud of! Scarlett is a tough girl who grew up in a working class family and isn’t so sure about the town’s golden boy…until he pours on the charm!
Mason felt like the perfect blend of an alpha hero and a beta hero. He was willing to stand up for himself but he was also willing to take no for an answer and listen to Scar. I loved his cheesy pick-up lines and that even at her worst he was willing to give Scar the benefit of the doubt.
I can’t wait for more in this series…and I’m going to need her brothers just as much as his sisters, just sayin’
I received a complimentary review copy of this book but all opinions are my own.
Another awesome book by Samantha Chase. I did struggle at first but pushed past it and found that i really enjoyed ‘In Case You Didn’t Know’. I absolutely loved Mason and Scarlet. Scarlet is a strong young women that wears many hats. She loves working with her father and brothers on cars buy her real passion is working on motorcycles. She also enjoys volunteering at pet rescue shelters. Mason is a handsome young man that comes from a prominent family that finally gets put from under his parent thumb and starts loving his life for himself. Mando and Scarlet have know one another since middle school but never ran into the same circle. They never bumped into one another until a day at a concert. If u want to know what happens u will need to read to find out.. I promise u won’t be disappointed.
