“In Case You Didn’t Know” is the 3rd book in Samantha Chase’s Magnolia Sound Series. It is the story of Mason and Scarlett. Just when I thought this series couldn’t get any better Chase did it again. It is the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone but why wouldn’t you want the rest of the story? This like the other books in the series is very well written has well developed and likable characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. The way Chase describes Magnolia Sound and their people makes me want to up and move there. I don’t know how she is going to top this book, I just know she will. It is a very nice beach read type of book. What are you waiting for get started reading this wonderful series.
In Case You Didn’t Know was everything I expected and so much more, Book 3 in the Magnolia Sound Series and this is Mason and Scarlett’s story and boy oh boy does this couple have a story to tell.
Mason was someone we met in previous books but it’s only now that we get to know and understand the real man and I can tell you that you will fall in love with this warm understanding passionate man who cares so very deeply for the town he lives in. When his grandfather passed away he was left bar on the wrong side of town that to be honest he had no idea why it was left to him and what he was going to do with it…..
Scarlett is a woman who is smart, sexy and knows just what she wants in life, she is one sassy woman who is the only girl in her family and she really doesn’t like people she see’s as stuck up snobs and Mason falls right into that category……..
This is an emotional story that’s full of size chemistry, witty banter and cheesy one liners, it’s about family loyalty and friends and it’s a romance you won’t want to miss. I loved being back in Magnolia Sound and I loved this couple so much, this book has al, the feels you want in a great read and I can’t wait to see who’s story we get next.
Mason and Scarlett’s story In Case You Didn’t Know, book three in Samantha Chase’s Magnolia Sound series is an emotional and heartwarming tale of forgiveness, acceptance, family and understanding. I came into this story not liking Mason, at least the Mason we were introduced to in previously stories in this series. Not only did I get to know the real Mason, the reasons he was portrayed as he was, but I came to fall in love with him. No, he’s not an alpha-type, but he is a warm, understanding, passionate young man who deeply cares about his town and his family. Well, maybe not quite his mother. Mason had reached his limit with his parents’ expectations, moving out and creating a life for himself. Running into former classmate, Scarlett gave him a fresh start on that life. Scarlett also brought out Mason’s superpower of being the king of cheesy pick-up lines; most of them are hysterical and groan worthy. Scarlett is not just insecure but a reverse social snob; believing she’s not good enough to interact with the social elite, like Mason and his family. Mason does an amazing job proving her wrong and charming the pants off her in order to convince her that he’s the one for her and her for him.
Ms. Chase wrote a wonderful and emotional story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Mason and Scarlett the love and strength they needed for a life spent together. I highly recommend In Case You Didn’t Know to other readers and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
A wonderful apposite attract novel.
What happens when a rich kid accidentaly bumps into An ex-class mate, who’s from the wrong side of town? Fireworks!!!
Mason just moved out of his demanding parents house and is trying to figure out what to do with his new found inheritance.
He meets up with Scarlett, at a concert and soon sparks fly.
Will there new found love surive there insecurities.
Once again Samantha Chase creates characters in her Magnolia Sound series that the reader cannot help but fall in love with. The story of Mason and Scarlett involves breaking the mold on the theory that if you have money you have power. When Scar meets Mason he is seen as pretentious and and snobbish, but once his true identity as a man under a lot of pressure to succeed comes through the two instantly connect. But when her family’s business is taken over can she let go of the hurt? Or can she take a step back and realize mason’s true intentions. I absolutely loved this series and cannot wait for more!!
I could not put this one down! I loved Mason & Scarlett’s story! 5 magnolia stars for this one!
Mason has been putting up with his mother trying to set him up with the “right” girl, and decides he’s had enough and moves into his own place. While out at a concert with his family, trying to put on a happy face, he heads to the concession stand and meets Scarlett. Well they’ve known of each other having gone to school together and he’s immediately taken with her. And can I just say, his pick up lines he feeds her, will have you cracking up!!!
Scarlett has had a rough life, the only girl growing up in a family of men having lost her mom young. Her dad did the best he could, she appears a tomboy, but a girly girl on the inside. When she meets Mason, she’s got a bad taste in her mouth due to his family. She thinks he’s a stuck up entitled snob, but her friend insists all is not what it seems on the outside.
Follow their story in this great book, another hit in the Magnolia Sound series for Samantha! Grab this one, and if you haven’t read the others in the series…what are you waiting for? Enjoy!
Fiction based in truth with the heart to back it up is the Samantha Chase way. Mason and Scarlett do a great impression of living, but has either one ever truly felt alive? Mason keeps his emotions close to the vest. Scarlett exposes her’s for all to see. She may dress like a bad girl, but at heart she’s yearning for something more. In Case You Didn’t Know is a tale of prejudgments and true love. It’s been said that image is everything. In reality it’s the masquerade that can lead to the downfall. Chase tackles many important themes about self – worth, being true to the heart and not allowing others to decide what happiness looks like through your eyes. Wise words that have the power to make one laugh with tears in their eyes and hope in their hearts.
I absolutely adored this book and I love Mason & Scarlett! They are simply amazing together and are as wonderful as so many other characters in this series have been. Samantha Chase has given us so much to love with this Magnolia Sound Series! Complete with lovable characters and fantastic writing; stories that are sweet, witty, emotional and sexy; each book just keeps pulling me deeper and deeper into this world. I can’t say this one is my favorite because I have loved them all equally! The relationship between Mason and Scarlett seems so right. Things were going so well for them and then they hit a big bump in the road to their HEA, so a misunderstanding tears them apart. I was rooting for them so hard! Some much needed interference helps them to get back on the road together! I really enjoyed their story and loved the ending!
This series continues to get better and better. You really see that our perception of people strictly based on who they are can be so wrong.
I truly loved Mason & Scarlett’s story.
Mason and Scarlett. What a great pair. Mason after so many years doing what his mother told him, finnaly said enough and moved out. Scarlett do not like people like Mason, people who thinks they are better than others, she doesn’t want to give a chance to Mason, but he is stubborn. Scarlett starts to thinks he is different till one day she finds out that he ownes her granfather bar.
Loved this story, great characters, awesome storyline.
Finally!! I fell in love with Mason right from the beginning of this series. This story was so worth waiting for! Mason has found his independence and I LOVED how he finally stood up to his mother. She even gets on my nerves. LOL!! Scarlett is a Kickass with a sweet side. This story was entertaining, engaging a fun! It was realistic and the story really flowed along. When it ended I didn’t want it to stop!!
Every time I think Samantha Chase can’t write another book to top the last, she goes & does it! I can’t tell you what I liked the best. The fact that Mason turns out to NOT be a rich, spoiled, entitled jerk? Scarlett being a reverse snob & holding Mason’s family money against him? The chemistry that they just can’t ignore? The strong sense of family? Mason turning out to be like Pops, his grandfather? How about all of the above!!
Ms. Chase has built another set of characters that every reader will be invested in. It’s the boy next door that appears to have everything & the motherless girl everyone feels sorry for but talks about behind her back. It’s a typical small town with the good, the bad, the narrow minded gossips & the ones concerned with the town & the children’s futures. Magnolia Sound is every small town in the country. I loved how Scarlett’s family gathered around to look after each other. Masons’s sisters had his back even while he was on the outs with his mother. This was another emotional story written by an exceptional author. I can’t wait for the next story!
This is such a great book!
I adored reading it!
It’s a feel-good, sexy & moving romance.
I’ve been looking forward to Mason’s book,
& Samantha Chase, did not disappoint.
Mason & Scarlett, steal your heart
from the very first pages to the last.
Magnolia Sound, has quiant small town charms. I loved everything about this
Must Read Story!!!
Mason!! Ahhh! I eagerly awaited his book and knew it would be great, but Chase has outdone herself with this one! And the icing on the cake? Scarlett is decidedly NOT the girl I would have pictured for Mason but the perfect girl for Mason and just the right girl to shock his meddling, snobby mother and put her in her place, and it’s an epically beautiful thing!
It’s the traditional “wrong side of the tracks” love story. Scarlett Jones is a tomboy, and the only girl in a family of four men, who loves motorcycles and working on engines. Her family didn’t have a lot, but they always had love. Mason Bishop has had every convenience affluence affords, but he learned early on that love was earned through accomplishments, appearances and status. Yet his granddad, Pops, saw something more in Mason and left the Mystic Magnolia, an old dive bar on the north end of town, to him for a specific reason. Now it’s up to Mason to figure out what Pops was thinking.
Mason and Scarlett are my favorite couple in this series so far. I adore these two together, and their chemistry arcs and sparks and leaps from the page. And it’s not the steamy chemistry as much as it’s the playful banter, Scarlett’s fiery comments and Mason’s adorable, intentionally awful lines. These two are so fantastic together, and their story had me grinning and laughing out loud while still tugging at the heartstrings.
If I thought this series was missing anything, it was the undeniably strong sense of community that makes the reader desperate to live there, but in this case Chase built this town exactly right. Yes, I was already in love with the place, but Mason channeling Pops and investing himself in Magnolia Sound makes this place and his story so much more special. I really don’t see how Chase can improve on what she’s already given us but, at the same time, I have no doubt that upcoming books will be even better.
If you’re looking for your next beach read, this is it. You’ll easily fall for Mason (he’s such an awesome guy with a great heart) and Scarlett will be your new heroine (just wait until she confronts Mason’s mother!). Plan your escape to Magnolia Sound today and grab your copy of this delightful, heartfelt, phenomenal read!
*I reviewed an early edition of this book freely and voluntarily, having made no commitment to provide feedback and receiving no compensation of any kind from any source.
This was a 3.5 read for me. I wanted to read this book by the title; the title is a song by Brett Young. I enjoyed the storyline though I didn’t really get Scarlett thinking she wasn’t good enough and taking it out on Mason. There coming together was enjoyable to read. This would be a great book to read by the pool before the summer is over.
I really like this author. This story is easy read, light christian novella. The story flowed very well with good character development. This book is the start of a beginning series. Looking forward to the next book.
In Case You Didn’t Know by Samantha Chase is the third book in the Magnolia Sound series. I have loved every book in the series. I always feel like I am home for a family reunion and getting caught up with the other characters in the series. I love how Samantha Chase has explored different themes in her stories. In Case You Didn’t Know proves that opposites can attract and Samantha Chase has shown that she is a wonderful storyteller regarding of what theme she is choosing to write about. In Case You Didn’t Know is the Story of Malcolm Bishop and Scarlett Jones. Malcolm is the son of Georgia and Beau Bishop, one of the wealthiest families in Magnolia Sound. He has finally moved out of his parents’ home and has moved into his won apartment. He could no longer take his mother’s interference in his life. At a charity concert Malcolm runs into Scarlett Jones, his middle school lab partner who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. Malcolm kisses Scarlett and is so blown away from the kiss, that he asks her to meet him after the concert. Scarlett sees Malcolm talking to his sister following the concert and gets the wrong idea, so she turns around to leave. Malcolm sees her in the crowd and runs after her. Things escalate quickly between Malcolm and Scarlett. The unexpected happens and a surprise plot twist throws their romance into a tail spin. Mason received a bar from his great-grandfather in his will and has wondered why his grandfather would leave him such a run down establishment. I love the reasoning behind Zeke’s bequeath to Mason. In Case You Didn’t Know is filled with the bittersweet moments that I have come to expect from Samantha Chase in this series, as well as her surprise plot twists. I could not put the book down. It was a wonderful story and once again shown that she is an amazing storyteller. I love how Scarlett, the girl from the wrong side of the tracks, is able to change snooty Georgia Bishop. That was totally unexpected. I loved Mason and Scarlett’s story, and looking forward to All the Befores.
3.75 stars–IN CASE YOU DIDN’T KNOW is the third full-length instalment in Samantha Chase’s contemporary, adult MAGNOLIA SOUND romance series focusing on the Westbrook – Bishop family. This is engineer Mason Bishop, and mechanic/IT specialist Scarlett Jones’ story line. IN CASE YOU DIDN’T KNOW can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Mason and Scarlett) focuses on the estate division of the late Ezekiel Coleman, one of the original founding families of Magnolia Cove. Struggling with his dysfunctional relationship with his mother and father, Mason battles between head and heart as it pertains to the inheritance his grandfather laid out in his will. Hoping to keep his personal and professional business separate, Mason begins to search for something that has alluded our hero most of his life. Raised with the privilege that comes with his family’s wealth and money, Mason is willing to walk away without a backwards glance. Meeting former high school acquaintance Scarlett Jones gives Mason a chance for something more but our heroine struggles with the cavernous difference between the haves and the have-nots. What ensues is the building relationship between Mason and Scarlett, and the potential fall –out as the implications of Mason’s inheritance threaten the people Scarlett knows and loves.
Mason Bishop doesn’t adhere to his mother’s need to keep up appearances in public. Never having wanted to flaunt the family riches, Mason follows a different path, a path that will bring him face to face with the woman with whom he will fall in love. Scarlett Jones is a bit of a reverse snob with a large chip on her shoulder, struggling with the Bishop’s family riches, and her life-long insecurity to be seen as something more than the poor kid on the block. Getting re-acquainted with Mason Bishop found our heroine considering the future, a future threatened by sins of the past.
The relationship between Mason and Scarlett is one of immediate attraction but Scarlett’s preconceived notions, judgemental attitude and numerous assumptions about Mason Bishop were difficult to accept. Our heroine’s bias and animosity towards Mason were troubling, so much so that Scarlett pushed Mason out of her life.
We are introduced to Scarlett’s father Dominic Jones, and her brothers Dean, Kyle and Hunter, and their grandfather Tommy Flynn; Mason’s parents Georgia and Beau Bishop, as well as his sisters Parker and Peyton; cousin Sam Westbrook and Shelby Abbott (A Girl Like You #2).
IN CASE YOU DIDN’T KNOW is a story of family, intolerance, acceptance and love. The premise is captivating; the characters are flirty and sassy-their back and forth banter was fun; the romance is sweet-the $ex scenes are all implied. IN CASE YOU DIDN’T KNOW is a small town romance where opposites attract, and past secrets re about to be exposed.
