A tale as old as time: she needs a place to stay, he’s a grump with a secret and an extra room…can love find a way? Meet the Naughty Princess Club, a series from USA Today bestselling author Tara Sivec that brings readers to Fairytale Lane and the hilarity–and romance–that three women fall into once they decide to strut their stuff and bring on their own happily ever after. Living in her … after.
Living in her overprotective dad’s basement, shy Belle lives her life through books. Being a part of the Naughty Princess Club is the first adventure she’s ever had, plus she desperately needs the money to save one of her favorite places – the local library.
But when her new friends and new business gets her kicked out of her dad’s house, Belle is rescued by the surly Vincent “Beast” Adams who invites her to be his house guest until she gets back on her feet. Despite his attitude problem and long list of rules, Belle finds herself warming to the muscled man with a penchant for growling and starts seeing a gentle side to him that wasn’t there before.
Yet there’s a room that Beast keeps locked and Belle keeps getting hints that Beast is hiding something…can a nerdy librarian tame the beast or will their romance be over before it has a chance to blossom?

This was another funny, flirty and sexy story in this series. I definitely recommend this book, this series and this author. It has been a blast reading all of these books.

Veronica –
Belle met Beast in the previous book in this series, At the Stroke of Midnight, at the strip club, Charming’s, where Beast is a bouncer. When Beast starts showing up at the library where Belle works, right before closing, it doesn’t take long for him to figure out she is sleeping in the library and he insists that she move into his spare bedroom.
Belle wants to start stripping for the Naughty Princess Club to earn money to save her failing library, but she needs experience with men so her friends set her up a dating profile and she proceeds to go on a bunch of terrible dates, all while living with Beast and falling for him. I loved that as Belle blooms and gains the confidence to stand up for herself and take chances, that she didn’t really change who she is. I loved that Beast is more than he appears to be and together they are a perfect match.
I was sucked into this story right from the beginning. When the hero or heroine of a story is homeless, it always pulls at my heartstrings and in this case, it definitely did. But Tara Sivec is writing a romcom, so this part of the story, while serious, never felt heavy. This is a comedy and I laughed out loud over and over while reading this book. I loved all of the random facts Belle is forever spouting and I actually thought Belle was pretty cool. This is a story with plenty of zany situations and I just sat back and enjoyed the ride. This gets a solid four stars from me.

I was so very excited to read In Bed with the Beast, book two in The Naughty Princess Club! This has everything: an innocent librarian (that may need “saving”), a ginormous BEAST of a man (who may need to be shown love), and stripping! What more could you possibly want in a book?
Belle has been sheltered her entire life, an adult woman living with her father, it’s time for her to take control of her own destiny. Unfortunately, her place of employment is also experiencing upheaval, and she’s trying to figure out how to save the town library.
The Beast (swoon) is just a nice guy who is trying to do the right thing. He’s no Prince Charming, but he can’t turn a blind eye to a damsel in distress…
I loved this story – the tone is completely different than the first book. Each character has their own quirks and are endearing, they are total opposites yet are perfect for each other. This story is cute and funny, steamy and sexy, sweet and sassy. Belle is an amazing characters with her random facts, and shy, sweet personality.
So far this series has been seriously entertaining and I am excited for Ariel’s story!

Belle is looking to live her life, but she doesn’t know how. But she’s made friends with Ariel and Cindy and now she’s part of The Naughty Princess Club. Although she’s yet to make it on stage. She’s still living at home with her dad and working at the public library and sneaking out of the house to spend time with her friends.
Beast aka Vincent works as bouncer at PJ’s strip club. A former English Lit teacher at prep school, he’s now a bouncer who has annoying habit of annoying Belle. There’s something about him that calls to Belle and when Belle is in need of a knight in shining armor, Vincent is there for her.
Every woman wants a man like Vincent, thoughtful, caring, and a library to die for. His only fault? Not being truthful when he should have been and letting Belle find out his truth from his mouthy friend. His redeeming quality? Making Belle’s dream come true.
Ruthie –
This is the second in the series – and whilst it would be a great read on its own, I think that understanding the background would make the experience richer.
The quietest, and most unlikely of the Naughty Princess Club trio, Belle the librarian finally stands up for herself and finds her voice… and her dancing body! Her dream is to keep her library open, and she knows that she needs to start earning more money to keep it afloat. This leads to a run of unlikely events, which make wonderful reading. From the confrontation with her father which results in her leaving home, to how she moves in with bouncer Beast, with some hilarious blind dates along the way, Belle finds her hidden sexy side. It is, of course, really most attracted to Beast, but there are issues there which could derail everything.
I love that I knew enough of the fairytale that I could appreciate the links, but there are enough Tara Sivec signature moves that it is also a unique, fun, and original story. I thought the twists were well done, and the ending is (hopefully) a happily ever after.
Really looking forward to Ariel’s story!
Reviewers on the Wicked Reads Review Team were provided a free copy of In Bed with the Beast (The Naughty Princess Club #2) by Tara Sivec to read and review.
After reading Stroke of Midnight, book one in Tara Sivec’s Naughty Princess Club,
and laughing my butt off at Cindy, Ariel, and Belle’s antics, I couldn’t wait for more from these three female characters who have drastically different personalities but have formed an amazing bond, empowering one another to take control of their lives and live only for themselves.
In the second book in the series, In Bed with the Beast, Tara Sivec puts her own comedic and sexy spin on the classic tale of Beauty and the Beast, and let me tell you, Isabelle ‘Belle’ Reading and Vince ‘Beast’ Adams epitomize their fairytale counterparts, even with the modern makeovers that they receive.
After being introduced to Belle in Cindy’s book, I needed to know Belle’s backstory and understand how this shy bookworm and daddy’s girl found herself friends with Cindy and Ariel, in a position to move in with a man she doesn’t know, and get a job as a stripper to make enough money to support herself and save her library.
I have to admit…I really didn’t know how Sivec was going to make Belle’s transformation believable. She’s the youngest of the trio and her nerdiness and random spouting of facts don’t quite fit the description of someone who takes her clothes off for money, but the combination of getting out of her father’s basement, interacting with two amazing women who help empower her, and living with Vincent – a man whose bark is bigger than his bite – helps Belle to grow and experience life outside of books and the library she loves.
Belle and Vincent are polar opposites so watching their interactions and reactions to one another are quite comical, and between Belle’s note taking and Vincent’s growling responses, it doesn’t seem like they’ll ever share anything more than a place to live, but as Belle’s confidence grows and she becomes more independent, she puts herself out there more and works to act on her attraction to Vincent, intensifying the sexual tension that surrounds them and prompting the slow burn of their relationship to spark.
Anytime Cindy, Ariel, and Belle are together, readers witness hilarious, quite inappropriate, and embarrassing situations but they also see a bond that solidifies the more they help one another to take back their lives and take risks that they would have never done without a little help from their friends.
I really enjoyed reading In Bed with the Beast; it’s highly entertaining, and I love the ladies’ friendship and how their differing personalities allow them to help each other in a number of ways. And now that Ariel’s story is up, I can only imagine what Tara Sivec has in store for her and readers! I cannot wait to find out!!
4 Poison Apples
5 “You’re so weird” stars!
I liked this one so much that I read it again 2 days later! Oh this series makes me so happy and it makes me giggle a lot. One of the many thing that I love the most about this series is these 3 women supporting each other. Not only through the good times, but through the most horrible times too. No matter what gets thrown at them, they just help each other out. It’s straight up girl power! I mean, of course your BFF will help you learn a top notch lap dance. What BFF wouldn’t, right? I want to become best friends with these girls too!
Watching Belle basically grow throughout the book is pretty empowering. She was done with people telling her what to do with her life. Done. And holy cannoli let’s not forget Beast. Whew that sexy man showing her the ways of all things sexy. I love these two together. Now I can’t wait for the last book. Ariel is my spirit animal.
Tara Sivec has been one of my favorite authors since 2012. You’d think she is bound to disappoint eventually right? NOPE. Once again, Tara delivers a sweet, funny as hell, totally clever and unique book that was just so much fun to read! In Bed With The Beast is the second in the Naughty Princess Club series. It stands alone well because Tara recaps well, but I think you should totally start with the first, At The Stroke of Midnight, for the best experience.
I didn’t really notice the blatant princess tie-ins in the first book until I was midway through (not having girls, I really don’t know the princess movies that well, but we are Disney people, so I know the gist). But Belle and Beast’s story had a ton of little subtle tie-ins, and I think Beauty and the Beast lovers would find even more than I did. I LOVED how cleverly Tara tied in the three women’s stories to their Princess counterparts. It’s honestly one of the most creative things I’ve read.
“You know, rescuing a damsel in distress is something right out of a fairy tale, Vincent. If you’re not careful, I might think you’re a knight in shining armor.”
We met Beast in the first book, the big, hulking, growling bouncer at Charming’s strip club. Isabelle is the sweet, innocent 25-year-old librarian who has to sneak out of her dad’s house to meet her friends. Belle is shy and meek as a mouse, but she stands right up to the big hulking Beast like nobody else does. Beast has taken to showing up at the library when it gets dark but soon notices that Belle hasn’t been leaving at night. She’s been kicked out of her dad’s house after getting caught sneaking out and has been sleeping on the library floor.
Beast may be quiet, but he is a gentleman. An alpha gentleman, who won’t stand for the beautiful librarian living on the floor of a drafty library. So he takes her home to live in his guest room. Belle knows this is her chance to get comfortable around men, so she jumps at the chance. But the attraction between them is ready to burst free, like when she wears her PJs around him:
“Boys in books do it better,” Vincent reads aloud.
“True story.”
He takes a step towards me and leans forward, placing his hands on either side of the counter, caging me in. “That’s because they’re boys. Maybe you should try a man.”
Belle is desperate to save her library and knows that stripping is the way to go, but she needs to loosen up and practice being sexy, practice being around men, and practice dancing.
“Okay. Dance. I can do this.” I speak the words softly, more to myself than to Vincent. Nodding my head to the slow beat of the music, I start moving. First, my arms go out in front of me, one at a time. Then, I smack them down on each shoulder, one at a time. Next, each hand goes behind my head, and then down to my hips, which I proceed to shimmy and shake.
“What the hell is that?” he asks, causing me to abruptly stop moving.
“It’s the Macarena. Heeeeey Macarena!” I sing. “It’s the only dance I know without using the chair. You totally broke my concentration. Now I’m going to have to start over.”
I loved the friendship between the three women. And I absolutely loved Belle’s penchant for spouting facts when she was nervous.
“You talk a lot.”
My favorite thing is how much Belle changed and grew and became a self-confident woman in this story, and that’s really what this series is about. While yes, the women all find love, but they find themselves as well.
Likes:
•So many cute tie-ins to Beauty and the Beast.
•I smiled and laughed out loud numerous times.
•The friendship between the three friends.
•Mrs. Potter was awesome.
•How Belle’s dad redeemed himself.
•Beast’s growly, alpha beastliness.
•Learning Beast’s background.
•Watching Belle mature and grow into a strong woman.
•The happy, feel-good escape this book afforded me.
Dislikes:
•I didn’t really dislike anything, but I would love a bonus chapter or something from Beast’s POV.
Can Go Either Way:
•Tara does a pretty extensive recap which I think I would have appreciated if I hadn’t just re-listened to At the Stroke of Midnight. But since I did, it felt like a little too much of a recap.
The Down & Dirty:
I LOVED At the Stroke of Midnight, and I loved In Bed with the Beast MORE! This is a modern take on Beauty and the Beast and I felt like the first book had more subtle nods to Cinderella. I loved the way this one tied into the original fairy tale in so many little ways. It was SO CLEVER! The Naughty Princess series is like Bad Moms and Disney Princesses had a mash-up. Ariel is my favorite of the three, and I have seen Tara post that Ariel’s book, Kiss the Girl, is her favorite of the three, and I know it will be mine too. I CAN’T FREAKING WAIT.
NOTE: I listened to At the Stroke of Midnight after reading it, and let me tell you, CJ Bloom is an AMAZING narrator for this series. She does each woman’s voice so distinctly and perfectly, I can’t wait to re-listen to this one before Kiss the Girl releases.
Rating: 5 Stars, 3.5 Heat
I really wanted to enjoy this one…. unfortunately it fell short. I found the first book to be a great spin and very funny. However, I found this book to drag on and not really grab my interest. So much so that I was prepared to DNF at 90%. I ended up skimmy to the end to grab tidbits and see how it ended. I liked Beast’s character alright but Belle seemed to grate on my nerves. I’m a firm believer in letting the characters be who they are. Who they were written to be. It’s just that I could not make myself like her no matter how hard I tried. I couldn’t wait for this book’s release but honestly, it’s because I couldn’t wait to get more Ariel. I love her and will jump at the chance to read that book. I’m just hoping I don’t set myself up for more disappointment.
I was really looking forward to this book after the first one and when I read it I was not as captured by the characters here. I still enjoyed it but not as much.
If you are a Tara Sivec fan, you will see that this book is a combination of of Wish You Were Mine meets The Chocolate Lovers series between the sexual angst and the humor.
Belle is hands down my favorite character. We get to see a whole new side of her in this book than we did in the previous book. It was such a fun ride watching her get her “dea legs”.
Vincent. Swoon. Just a little. Okay, maybe a lot. His take charge, no nonsense, yet teddy bear personality is just what Belle needs to really find herself.
This one is part swoon-worthy, part hilarious, and part sexual frustration on a stick. I didn’t know whether to laugh, sigh, or yell from start to finish. I couldn’t get enough of this book.
If you are looking for your next laugh out loud love story, look no further. I am not even sure why you are reading my words instead of Tara’s words.
I’ve enjoyed this author’s books in the past, especially her brand of humor, and was in the mood for something a bit lighter. I’ve always thought the twist on a well-known fairytale is an interesting trope, and was really looking forward to how Miss Sivec would spice up Beauty and the Beast while making me laugh. Although I did enjoy this and I laughed at a good number of parts, I have to admit I was a bit underwhelmed.
In Bed with the Beast is the second book in the Naughty Princess Club but can easily work as a standalone, which is how I read it. When I started the book, I found myself giggling and smiling, thinking the opening scene was promising both in the plot and humor-wise. And for the most part, the plot was pretty good and an interesting riff on a well-known fairytale. I love the idea of The Naughty Princess Club, and I loved the idea of Belle being the hot but nerdy librarian, but it just failed to really catch fire for me and I really lost interest by the second half of the book. Miss Sivec is known for her crazy, sometimes outlandish humor and I’m generally willing to roll with the ridiculous when it’s just too funny. This time it felt a little forced compared to this author’s other romantic comedies. I also didn’t quite connect fully with Belle, maybe she was a bit too innocent and naïve for my tastes, and found Vincent (Beast) to lack in depth. So despite a strong and promising start, this ended up being a miss for me in a few different areas. I think if you’re a fan of this author or retelling of fairy tales and are looking for a breezy, light book, In Bed with the Beast may be just the ticket.

“My eyes are up here, princess.”
Would you believe that I’ve never read a full length novel from Tara Sivec? I know, right! It’s absolutely ridiculous and after finishing up IN BED WITH THE BEAST, I’m kicking myself for not reading her work sooner. If I only had one word to describe Belle and Vincent’s romance it would be…FUN! That’s what it was! So incredibly fun, entertaining, charming, hilarious, and deliciously steamy! I loved every minute of it! For those of you who enjoy your fairytales a little on the naughty side, THIS BOOK…no THIS SERIES is for you!
It’s an awesome premise, one that I’m totally on board with and I so WANT MORE! This group of girls that make up the Naughty Princess Club, they are all my spirit animals in one way or another. I love Cindy, even though we didn’t get much of her in Belle’s story, but you can check out her HEA in book one – AT THE STROKE OF MIDNIGHT! Trust me, I plan on picking that one up too! Ariel hasn’t had her HEA yet (but it’s coming!!!) but she was an absolute RIOT in this book! OMG! She has WIT and BANTER for days! I can’t wait to read more about her. But the star of the show is Isabelle ‘Belle’. She was a riot as well, but in an understated way. She is smart as a whip and can spout off facts like no other, but it’s an endearing quality and one that definitely woos the heart of our Beast!
Together, these two characters were MAGIC! I adored their happily ever after so much and the journey to get there was just magnificent! If you’re looking for a fun romance with a little nostalgia in the mix, this series and IN BED WITH THE BEAST is definitely for you! After you devour this book, I can guarantee you’ll be brining it to your next book club meeting, or shoving it your best friend’s face telling her to GET ON IT ALREADY! This book will make you smile, make you laugh, and it will bring some heat to an already sweltering summer!
I always know when I pick up a book by Tara Sivec that I’m guaranteed some rib-busting laughs and tons of swoon-worthy moments. This story did not disappoint! It was hilarious, heartwarming, and sexy and the characters were so endearing and relatable that it was impossible not to love it.
When Belle and her two new best friends started a stripper business, her father kicked her out of the house. With nowhere to go, she accepted Vincent’s (Beast’s) offer of a room in his house. But she had more problems. Can nerdy, innocent Belle pull off a striptease? Even though only Cindy had had the confidence to actually do the dancing at private parties, while she and Ariel did the administrative work, she wanted to be brave enough to dance. But Ariel and Cindy say she needs some experience with men to be a good stripper. Will Beast help her with that?
I liked Belle’s growth while she still stayed sweet and a little naive. Nerd that she was, spouting random information was common for Belle. I adored Vincent. Yes, he was a grouch and broody but he was kind and had a big heart, too. Finding out more about his past was great. For such an unlikely couple, they were a good match.
Don’t you just love a romance that sneaks up on you between highly laughable scenes as well as some of the most heart-wrenching truths?
A fantastic romcom with a fairytale twist. I really enjoyed this book nerd taming her beast storyline. Belle is normally shy and soft spoken and throughout this story finds herself as well as her voice. Then there is Beast, alpha, sexy and swoon worthy. A match made in fairytales.
This is my first book from Tara Sivec and it was quite the introduction and she now has a new fan. This is the second book in the Naughty Princess Club and Tara has delivered a brilliant book filled with humour and fun. I am certainly going to be checking out the first book in the series and eagerly anticipate the next book.
I absolutely loved Belle, the shy librarian, she was so sweet and naïve after living a sheltered life but she has a bit of sass to her. Soon as she meets Cindy and Ariel they help bring her out of her shell. Beast, the strip club bouncer, is the brooding alpha male type. They say opposites attract and they are not wrong with these two. The connection and chemistry between Belle and Beast is hot AF
I love any kind of fairy tale retelling and I especially love one based on Beauty and the Beast. This book did not disappoint.
Belle is a bookworm who spouts random facts out at any given time. She’s never lived on her own, never been in a relationship and she has never had any friends. Now, she’s been booted out of her father’s basement, running a business with her two new best friends and is falling hard for Beast.
I love a growly, grunting alpha hero and Beast/Vincent certainly lived up to that. He seemed to have Belle’s best interest at heart although he may have something going on that he’s keeping from her. We never get his point of view and I definitely missed having that. More so because he’s more of a growler than a talker causing the story to sometimes feel a little off balanced. I still enjoyed the heck out of this story though!
Belle was so freaking cute with her nervous habit of spouting off trivia that no one needed or wanted to know. And when it came time to seduce Beast she was a hot mess that just made me love her more. Cindy and Ariel, her friends, are both heavily involved in this story and I loved getting a glimpse of Cindy’s relationship with PJ all while growing more excited to read Ariel’s story.
This is a fast paced read with some heavy chemistry between the main characters along with fun and humorous scenes with the secondary characters. It offers a wonderful opportunity to escape the humdrums of day to day life and I loved every moment of it!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Ok seriously, this is like my new thing…reading a book by a new to me author every time I pick up a new book, (okay not every time, but it’s happened a lot this year…Goodreads reading challenge and all hello!! LOL). So far, the choices have rocked and this book keeps me all beast mode like yea…another awesome book I chose to read!
I’m already a sucker for fairytale re-writes, or whatever you want to call them, and as soon as I started in on this one, I couldn’t put it down. First off, it’s freaking funny as hell. My kids gave me funny looks and asked why I was laughing. Oh, nothing I can tell you guys *snicker snicker*…eye rolls. Second, Belle is pretty hilarious too! She’s this brainiac that spews random facts when she’s nervous or just during almost any conversation. They aren’t completely random, they usually have to do with whatever the topic of discussion is, but it’s freaking awesome and I totally need a friend like that! Her friends are equally hilarious. Ariel says some pretty laugh out loud things and I’m thinking she might be one of my favorites. I haven’t read the first book in this series, but I will definitely be one clicking that bad boy after reading this.
I can’t type up a review without mentioning Beast, I mean, that would be totally wrong. He’s…yep you guessed it… a FREAKING BEAST. Haha! He’s also, a gentleman and sweet and a big old teddy bear once you get to know him. He see’s more than most and he’s more than just a growly, big beast of a man. There’s a lot more to him than what meets the eye and he’s definitely one of those don’t judge a book by its cover type men. I love the back and forth banter him and Belle have and that she brings something out of him that no one gets to see.
Really loved this story, (if you couldn’t tell) and this author made a new fan today! Her writing style is just easy to read, very easily sucked me in with her words and I’m always a huge fan of humor in these kinds of books… this was definitely very humorous. If you don’t like fairytale re-writes, with dirty mouthed princesses and badass prince charming type fellas, well then… what is wrong with you?! If you’re like me and you love exactly those things…air hi-five and did we just become besties?!! I’m a nerd…and Belle is my favorite Disney princess, so of course, I loved this book. I’m looking forward to reading the first book and the rest to come in this series. And I lived happily ever after!

I’m never surprised when I love a book by Tara Sivec…and In Bed With the Beast is no exception! I adored the story of Belle and her Beast! Tara does an amazing job of capturing her awkward cuteness and just makes you love her from the first page. It’s easy to see why Vincent aka Beast is so taken with her. Tara always writes relationships well, but the interactions between Belle and Vincent are truly enjoyable to read, from their most simple interactions to their most scorching! The chemistry between them begins as a subtle, intense heat, building and building until it finally explodes. Vincent is a perfect growly alpha male…but with a quiet intelligence that just makes you want him more. And it’s no surprise, the friendship chemistry between Cindy, Belle and Ariel was once again a complete joy to read! This book is laugh out loud (A LOT) funny, sweet and sexy all at the same time. I absolutely adored it and can’t wait to read it again…and again…and again. Love this series and loved this book!
In Bed With the Beast by Tara Sivec is Naughty Princess Club book #2. A contemporary retelling of Beauty and the Beast with Isabelle (Belle) Reading in need of money to keep her library going. She and her friends, Cin and Ariel start a stripping business to raise money. When her father kicks her out, Vincent “Beast” Adams takes her into his house, and he is just as big and growly as his name suggests.
Told from Belle’s perspective, she gains confidence and experience on her own out of her father’s house and grows as a character. Vincent is definitely as possessive as you would imagine his character to be and as he and Belle spend more time together a romance between them grows.
Overall I enjoyed In Bed With the Beast by Tara Sivec as a clever modern version of this classic story that has always been one of my favorites. These characters really are a “tale as old as time” and continue to be romantic and fun.

What a delightful fun story, Belle and the Beast is just precious together.
This storyline had the right amount of suspense and the dialogues made the story fun and light.
Belle and Beast has a good amount of chemistry from the beginning and it’s set on fire throughout the story.
I love that Beast is mostly growling and huffing but underneath he is the romantic knight in shining armour that Belle always dreamed of.
Belle’s journey from a shy girl to a strong, independent women is a joyful read.
Love scenes are hot and sweet at the same time.
There’s no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and a lot of dialogues.
A great story that’s easy to read and as always this author manages to make me laugh throughout the story. Grab it if you want a pleasant read.
HEA with a lap dance. BONUS!
Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite fairytales because I identify with the bookish girl who doesn’t seem to fit in. I’ve devoured Tara Sivec’s contemporary adaptation of this trio of Cinderella, Belle and upcoming Ariel. They nod to the characters and keep loosely to the storyline with Sivec’s unique naughty comedic wit! Who would have thunk to make these young women strippers? We get our HEA and a lap dance! I love it!
Isabelle is a librarian, trying to keep her small town oasis alive week by week. Her new friends and business partners Cindy and Ariel have started a small business that might just meet her needs if she could just pluck up the courage to do more than the books. Enter our hero, Beast or Vincent for polite company to save Belle from her secret and maybe with a secret of his own. He’s rescued her and agrees to help her prepare for her first big venture, but it’s a slow and torturously sexy process getting to her multiple goals.
The characters are as colorful as ever and hilarious to boot. So much growling and blushing with outbursts of random factoids to entertain everyone! It was brilliant to spend the time getting to know each other and the slow taming and unleashing of their better selves. I am thoroughly delighted with this book and sniggered and laughed all the way through.
The three girls are the main focus and though the first book isn’t a required read in order to enjoy this one, I suggest you do. Cindy and PJ are funny in their own right while dealing with their friends fledgling friendship. Ariel is wound up so tight that Eric’s constant come-ons are going to light her fuse for a fantastic explosion in the next book. Introducing Belles dad with the not so subtle nod to Sean “Sticks” Larkin from LivePD was a special bonus for me! His entanglement with PJ’s mother, making them all squeamish made me really laugh.
This book was everything I was hoping it would be and more! I’m really looking forward to Ariels book, Kiss the Girl.
I am loving Tara Sivec’s Naughty Princess Club series! Each of the three books is an adaption of a Disney princess movie and features three dynamic and hilarious best friends, who each find love and a prince of their own. The second book, In Bed with the Beast, is a spoof on Beauty and the Beast, and it is so much fun. Belle is an endearing librarian and perfectly awkward, and she quietly and awkwardly charms Vincent, a grumpy man of few words. When she asks him to teach her how to flirt and be sexy, so that she may join her friends in their home stripper business, she quickly unravels his control. Sigh. But Vincent guards his heart just as fiercely as he guards his words, so Belle has to convince him to open up to her. In Bed with the Beats is perfectly romantic and wonderfully entertaining, and I cannot wait for the next book, Kiss the Girl.
