What a fun, sexy little read! This writing duo never disappoints and you will fall in love with Reid and Willow. Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and I thoroughly enjoyed this take on it. I loved their banter and the connection and chemistry between them. Well developed secondary characters add to this read. Reid and Willow stole my heart and while their path was not an easy one, I rooted for their HEA. Well done ladies!
The friends to lovers trope is a type of romance book that I always enjoy. Most of them leave me with a happy heart and a big smile on my face. Imperfect Match definitely did that and more! This book was sweet and fun and a teeny bit angsty. Melanie and Corinne has pulled off a very cute book that keeps your interest until the very end.
Once again this author duo wrote an awesome book together. It is equal parts both of them (sweet and aww-inducing but also some painful and tear-inducing moment). I loved the characters, even if half the time I wanted to yell at one or both of them. And once again, for me, the side characters steal the show. I loved the siblings in this book and really want more of them! If you are looking for a cute, funny read with great banter and swoon-worthy moments, definitely pick this book up!
What can I say about Imperfect Match? That it was perfect and the story I needed! I felt the chemistry from the start with Reid and Willow. I love how they are best friends and do everything together. I knew through their denials, their relationship would bloom into something more. Then I got to the middle of the story and was not sure the outcome.
Harlow and Michaels are a power duo! They will give you amazing characters for their stories that you cannot help but fall over, The chemistry is blissful and the steamy scenes will have you blushing! This book will have you stuck to each page and cry when the story ends because you want more! I loved reading this story!
I love Reid and Willow in their endearing, heartfelt, and steamy, friends to lovers romance! They are so much fun, and their chemistry is off the charts! Reid and Willow are best friends and neighbors. When Willow’s mom pressures them both, for different things, everything begins to change. They want to help each other, altho reluctantly, and that makes them begin to see each other in a new light. There were so many laugh out loud, and awkward moments that were so hilarious. But it was the sweet, and steamy moments that stole my heart. Reid and Willow are great together, they compliment each other so perfectly balancing each others flaws. Their banter is so much fun and their chemistry is explosive. Their quirky family members, who couldn’t stay out of their business, made this story even more entertaining. I loved both Reid and Willow but the epilogue made me swoon and fall even harder for Reid! Michaels and Harlow make a great writing team! They created a beautiful, refreshing, and witty story with so much passion and heart. I loved it all and look forward to more from this duo!
Imperfect Match is a feelgood romance that had me smiling at every turn! Corinne and Melanie pulled out all the stops bringing us a friend’s to lovers story that is full of emotion.
Reid and Willow have been best friends for years. They have the type of relationship that just flows so smoothly. Knowing what the other is thinking before they say it, busting each other’s chops constantly, but also being each other’s biggest supporter. It’s the perfect setup, until one day Willow realizes her feelings for Reid are more than friends. And what do you know, Reid realizes the same thing.
Corinne and Melanie lay out a story that was both light and heavy at the same time of two people trying to navigate the minefield of becoming more than just friends. There is a perfect blend of lighthearted romance paired with serious issues that each character is dealing with. Both Reid and Willow have very steadfast beliefs that threaten to derail this newfound relationship they’re navigating. Is the love they have for each other going to be enough to overcome the hurdles in their path?
Imperfect Match is the second collaboration between Corinne Michaels and Melanie Harlow, and they are quickly becoming one of my favorite writing duos! Reid and Willow were easy to fall in love with and their story left me with a huge smile on my face and a very happy heart. A definite must read!!
This book is PERFECTION!!! I’m in love with Willow and Reid. This best friends to lovers story has it all. Insane chemistry, witty banter, flirty glances and a love that fills my heart. I loved every page of this book!!!
Mega writing duo Corinne Michales and Melanie Harlow give us a lighter, rom com side to their writing prowess. Willow and Reid are fantastic characters. Each totally unique with BIG personalities. Willow knows what she wants, and it’s willing to compromise. Reid, while completely infatuated by Willow, has some healing to do before he’s ready to be the man she deserves. Their journey to happily ever after made my heart sing!!
This is my favorite kind of romance. Light hearted writing, lovable characters and a super swoony ending. You are going to LOVE THIS BOOK!!!
Oh my goodness gracious this Reid and Willow are a disaster…
But that’s what makes them so perfect for each other. They have both friend zoned the other, but the sexual tension is on point! They are bff’s who live right across the hall from each other. They are pretty much the most married unmarried couple that have ever lived. Yet something is holding Willow back, well a big something. Reid still has some soul searching to do.
Gosh when they finally “do it” there is nothing imperfect about it…it’s HOT, DIRTY, SEXY, STEAMY, and AMAZ-A-BALLS. When I say “do it” I mean sex…lol. The sex was fan yourself good.
I will say that Aspen and Leo did make the best two side characters I have read in a while so if they don’t get a book I will come find you Corinne and Melanie 😉

Firstly, that is such a beautiful cover.. perfection! So it really gripped me from the cover to the end. Reid and Willow are perfectly imperfect for each other in every way. From the first scene they are together in to the last in the epilogue, their chemistry burst from the pages. I loved this book and all the characters. Aspen is just way too much and she quickly became a favorite of mine. Corinne and Melanie are no strangers to working together and you can just tell in the writing how well they do it. An amazing friends to lovers book that you can really sink your teeth into. Read this story!
Every time either of these authors release a book, I instantly one-click it. Doesn’t matter what the storyline is, the trope, or the cover…I’m getting that book as soon as it releases. So when they announced they are releasing another co-write, I jumped on it. And IT. WAS. AMAZING. Reid and Willow are best friends who have absolutely no feelings for each other. None. Just ask them. Willow is a matchmaker and needs a few more matches under her belt or else she gets let go. So her mom (who is also her boss) issues a challenge: Willow finds a match for Reid, Willow’s best friend. He’s funny, sexy, and charming, so she has her work cut out for her, right? As long as feelings don’t get involved, it’ll be a piece of cake. Until kisses and lingering looks and…other things…happen. Between Willow’s hesitancy to change their relationship and Reid’s inability to commit, the two face obstacles throughout their navigating their new relationship. But in true Harlow/Michaels fashion, there are tons of times of laughter, swooning, and a teeny bit of heartache. Because Corinne Michaels. But overall, this couple made me grin like an idiot because they were so freaking adorable.
I love Reid. Ok, I just felt the need to get that out there straight from the get go. The man is hot and charming, funny & witty, sarcastic & yummy as all get out. There, got that out. Aside from loving Reid (which, again, for the record, I do!), I loved this book! I’ve been a fan of Corinne Michaels books, but this is the first I’ve read with Melanie Harlow. Total love-fest!! I was giggling throughout this whole book, between Willow, sassy, smart, beautiful, maybe neurotic, a bit sarcastic, and Reid, Willow and Aspen, Reid and Leo, and so on. Even Willow & Reid’s inner thoughts cracked me up. Course I’m not gonna say it was all giggles, cause there were tears too. There are a couple of parts that might have torn me up and had my inner thoughts cursing out a couple of authors (hint hint), but by the end, the love was free flowing again! Definitely a love fest!!!
I loved this collaboration with both authors. I am an avid reader of Corinne Michaels, but after reading this one I feel the urge to go scope out Melanie Harlow too! I love how the author go back and forth. It is so seamless. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The dual POV had me laughing out loud at these characters.
This was a light and fun read which was exactly what I needed.
Loved this book! The writing between these two authors flows so well you wouldn’t think it would be written by more than one author! Awesome storyline! Loved the characters! I adored Reid and Willow as friends but I fell in love with them as a couple. This story is funny, sexy, emotional and a little bit angsty. I loved their banter and their chemistry. I’m hoping Willow’s sister, Aspen, gets her own story. She’s so quirky and I love quirky characters. Make sure you have a few hours to read because you won’t want to put this one down!
Reid and Willow were wonderful! This one started a bit slow for me and did take me a little while to get into, but once I did I was fully invested. It was great to see such good friends with such different backgrounds and upbringings realize how perfect they were for one another. I enjoyed watching their journey from friends to their HEA.
These two authors are on my favorites list, but when they co-write it just makes it all the more enjoyable.
Independently, Corrine Michaels and Melanie Harlow write some of my favorite books. Together, they are gold!
The story line in this was simple: a match-maker is trying to establish herself and find her BFF a match. Little does she know that she’s also being matched!
This one somewhat reminded me of Only You, but only for a moment. I think it has more to do with Melanie’s writing style than the actual story. I found myself immersed and connected to the characters, and the story was unique enough that it didn’t feel like I was reading a re-hashed version of a prior storyline. As always, there’s the side-characters that really steal the show. Willow’s mom and sister added the perfect interactions, and I felt myself rooting for Willow and Reid to move their relationship from a friendship to a life-long partnership.
I’m always delighted when I finish a book and continue to think about the characters and their story. This one stayed with me and I’ve re-read it already!
A friends to lovers romance with some imperfect matchmaking. I really enjoyed this read. Reid and Willow are best friends who realize they want more. They definitely have their road blocks that will test their friendship/new relationship. Their chemistry is sizzling and their banter funny and witty. You’ll devour this in a sitting.
Love a story you can’t put down? Reid & Willow will give you a book hangover… in the beast way! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’d Read
Imperfect Match is another in a long line of books to love from Melanie Harlow and Corinne Michaels. Reid will frustrate you and make you love him entirely. Willow is sweet and lovable. This Best Friends to Lovers romance is beautifully written and sexy rolled together.
Imperfect Match is absolutely perfect!!! This book is an absolute must read! It is witty, sweet and lighthearted with a little bit of drama mixed in. Reid and Willow’s relationship is everything! Being best friends first helped them build a strong foundation for a good relationship. I love how they push one another! I think that is why they work so well together. Both characters are so lovable! They just needed to get out of their own way. Once they did, it was simply beautiful!
I love this writing duo and hope they continue to bring us more of their magic!
Corinne Michaels and Melanie Harlow are back in the writing game together with this new standalone and it’s one you don’t want to miss! I really loved and enjoyed this second book by these authors and even though it’s their second co-written book, it’s like they have been writing together forever and I cannot wait to see what they come up with next!
Willow and Reid have known each other for a couple of years now and have been best friends ever since they met each other. Living across one another and being together every evening, their bond has grown really strong. When Willow’s mom is trying to decide whether or not to retire and leave the business to her, there is something she will need to do first before that can actually happen but there’s also something lying underneath that will come into full force moving forward. Willow and Reid start seeing each other in a new light but will their new found relationship withstand it all?…
The real underlyng desire Willow has, to start a family and be married one day… And the still deep rooted pain that Reid has experienced when growing up…
4.5 ’s. Again Corinne and Melanie wrote a book that flows together so well. There were no awkward or unnecessary parts.
I really enjoyed Reid and Willow’s chemistry and just the way they have fun together. They are true friends who are always there for each other and know each other so well.
Some of the things they say will make you laugh. It’s a book that keeps your interest and you will not want to put it down. I hoping there will be another book with some of the characters Imperfect Match.

4.5*
Imperfect Match was a fun, emotional, at times frustrating, friends-to-lovers story. The characters were complex and engaging, and in the case of Aspen- highly entertaining. I hope sister girl gets her own book!
Willow and Reid really did have the perfect friendship, until one seemingly innocent incident set the ball in motion that would forever change things between them. Because seriously, once you start thinking about a friend in “that” way, there’s really no going back, as much as you try to convince yourself otherwise.
Not only that, Willow and Reid have very different outlooks when it comes to relationships/family/kids and love. As close as these two were, there were some very important things they didn’t know about each other, and as the story progressed those differences became more and more apparent, and were cause for frustration and heartache.
I really liked both Willow and Reid, and thought they had such great chemistry, on top of their awesome friendship. I do wish there had been just a bit more build-up when it came to the “to-lovers” part of the relationship, I think I wanted to see more of the friendship before things escalated between them.
And I felt like things were resolved a little too quickly, especially where Reid is concerned. But in a way I’m glad things weren’t drawn out because that could have caused some unnecessary angst!
This was a sweet, lighthearted, heartfelt romance between two highly imperfect people who were perfect together.
