He’s gorgeous, successful, and sexy as hell. I figured it would be easy to find him a match—and save the family business at … save the family business at the same time.
But the more time I spend attempting to find the perfect girl, the more I realize how much I want him for my own. What’s the harm if we give in for just one night?
I should have known that would never be enough.

An added twist to the typical friends-to-lovers trope and I quite enjoyed it. Reid and Willow are fine characters. They had great chemistry and not just the steamy kind. Their friendship was so fundamental to anything more. I liked their banter and their interactions. They just had great fun together. Reid and Willow were just endearing especially as their relationship progressed. It is definitely shown how much they fit together. I liked reading how it would all play out. I also enjoyed Willow’s sister Aspen and Reid’s brother Leo and their relationships with their siblings. This story was cute, quirky, and fun. An Imperfect Match was a perfect read.
Friends to lovers might be my favorite genre. Willow knows what she wants in life and it’s a baby. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Reid knows exactly what he wants in life and that no wife, no child, and for his best friend to not have a stranger’s baby.
In attempt to prove capable to taking over her mother’s match making business, Willow is set to find Reid his one and only. And Reid agrees if Willow is successful, he will support her on her baby making dreams.
I love Willow’s mom and quirky sister and all they played to make these two friends realize they were more.
I was so excited to see that Corinne and Melanie were putting out another book together and by the teasers on this book I knew it would be amazing. I was right! It’s a perfect book.
Reid and Willow have been best friends for years and in this great book we get to see them slowly realize that their best friend is someone they are attracted to. They both fight it for a bit, especially Willow but finally she realizes that she wants to explore a relationship with Reid. One of my favorite lines from the book is when Willow said “How did I not see just how his imperfections make him perfect for me?”. You’ll fall in love with Reid and Willow and see just how perfect they are for each other.
I hope we have another Corinne and Melanie book in the works!!!
Whoa buddy… once you break into this read you’ll be hooked. This is the kind of story that makes you ignore the world until you’ve finished. I love Melanie Harlow, her name alone makes me want to read because the track record for amazing love stories is there. I know I’m gonna get a beautiful and angsty novel. However mix it with Corrine Micheals. Watch out it it will be on fire. Which it is. Imperfect Match is everything!
Willow and Reid’s friendship dominates the first third of the story, both of them too stubborn to acknowledge that the feel more than just friendship. However that friendship gives them a solid foundation to stand on making their inevitable hookup not feel rushed or sudden. They have been on the road to a relationship for years.
I got all the feels from this one, seriously took my breath away. I’m a HUGE fan of angst, and these two authors put their evil brains together and pack Imperfect Match with so much angst throughout! Oh and it’s hot! So hot, Reid and Willow are on fire together, their chemistry is off the charts! 12 out of 10 highly recommend!

Imperfect Match is a friends to lovers romance featuring Willow and Reid. I adored everything about this heartfelt story.
I loved the dynamic of Reid and Willow’s friendship. Their banter and interactions are witty, fun, flirty and humorous and I found them to be incredibly realistic. Both characters have hopes, dreams and fears that make them vulnerable but also all the more relatable and real. The chemistry between them is undeniable.
I love a friends to lovers trope, but what made this book for me is the fact that it’s told in a dual point of view, and you really feel the angst as this pair struggle to find a happy ever after.
The side characters were unique and fun, and I hope that at some point in the future they may appear in other books as I’d love to see more of them.
This duo have crafted another wonderful contemporary romance, that I highly recommend.
This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased, honest opinion.
So this book started out SUPER cute!!! I loved the playful banter between the two main characters. It was beyond adorable. But I found myself somewhere along the way not even wanting these two to end up together. I feel like they were better off staying friends but that’s just my opinion.
Willow Hayes is a 32 year old woman whose tired of waiting for her prince charming to arrive. She wants a baby and she’s tired of hoping for the right relationship to magically come along. There is a man in Willow’s life but it’s her best friend Reid Fortino. They do everything together. She cooks for him almost every night (he’s horrible in the kitchen) and then they binge watch different shows together. The only downside was they had these feelings for each other but didn’t want to ruin their friendship by taking a risk and it not working out.
Willow and Reid grew up with polar opposites of family members. Willow’s family is kind, loving, warm, etc. while Reid’s was….a hot mess basically. Reid struggles with not becoming his father so much that it affects every single thing in his life. He didn’t want to get married and he didn’t want kids. I was very frustrated with Reid throughout the book. I kept wanting to smack him and say GET OVER IT ALREADY!! I think this led to me not enjoying the book as much as I did at the beginning of the story.
Overall, I loved Willow and her family. I could relate to Willow on so many levels. I’m also guilty of playing worst case scenarios on a daily basis like she does. It’s just a flaw we both have to deal with unfortunately lol. I just wish I felt more for Reid. Sadly he just didn’t make me swoon like I wanted.
Oh my gosh I loved Willow and Reid’s story !! Such a fun , easy and laughable read. A page turner from beginning to end . Melanie and Corrine write effortlessly together. If your looking for a light hearted read this is the perfect book !!!
Imperfect Match was perfectly written! This was such a feel good story. Reid and Willow belong together. They are fantastic together! Corinne Michaels and Melanie Harlow together created the perfect summer read. Reid and Willow stole my heart. This story was so fun to read it just makes you want more, just one more chapter! I lover this friends to lovers story!
Willow and reid are amazing…. willow is a match maker and when her mom challenges her to match her best friend reid she believes she will nail it but what she finds out that there is no match for him just imperfect ones. Reid has never seen willow as more then his very best friend but as he let’s she set him up and realize just how much his best friend means to him…. this is a great book and I recommend this to everyone…one of my top 10 reads of the year
This was the perfect book to bring me out of my reading slump!
What an amazing read this was. Willow and Reid’s friends to lovers romance had me swooning and falling more and more in love with them the further I read. This duo of Harlow and Michaels compliment each other’s writing so well it makes for such an enjoyable read. Can’t wait for more!!
Reid and Willow have been friends for years. Both have issues to deal with. Willow wants the happy ever after. The husband and the kids. Reid has a dysfunctional history with his family which led him to believe that getting married and having a family would cause him to have a family as messed up as his was. One night an innocent moment awoken everything that was hidden to the surface. Though one was stubborn to deny it , the chemistry between them was too hot to deny. After some weeks their romantic bubble burst and real life force them to either bend or break or will they both have to sacrifice their friendship/relationship to get what they want?
I loved Willow and Reid! I love their friends to lover’s relationship, but more, I love them as they are… friends, they’re real. They aren’t just friends. They are the BESTEST of friends. Can you even image being best friends with your neighbor? It would be so amazing and reading all about Willow and Reid is fun and light. OK, so the first half was a bit slower than I’m used to with both these authors. Once they hit their stride through, they took off and I just held on to this fun and witty light romance turned emotional and a bit angsty with some definite romance!
Corinne Michaels and Melanie Harlow are amazing and creative together. They develop some of the best characters. Reid and Willow are full of fun and eventually they add in a bit more drama. Reid is completely swoonable! He’s funny and bluntly honest. I love his fiery passion. Willow is also fun and really light. She’s incredibly likable. I totally get her love of lists and schedules… it’s totally my thing. I love their drive and interest they both have but when these authors get them all tangled up… well they are fabulous!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
Melanie and Corinne writing flows so well together. They have banter between the Willow and Reid! Once again another great story!
When you hear there is a new release by Melanie Harlow and Corinne Michaels, you know you are in for a special treat.
Not only do you have an amazing story with characters, in this case Willow and Reid, who are ever the most interesting characters. You also get the cosmic connection that is Melanie and Corinne.
Imperfect Match was so perfect it blows you aware. Willow and Reid are best friends who are too afraid to open up to the possibility that they would be the HEA for each other. In the end, they work through their issues and find bliss. It was a wonderful ride with them.
4 stars for – Imperfect Match – by Melanie Harlow and Corrine Michaels. This is a standalone friends to lovers romance that hit all the feels for me. I am hoping this will turn into a series since both the H/h had siblings that were highly entertaining too.
Willow has had zero luck setting up couples on dates with potential for love therefore taking over her mother’s very successful match making business seems like the worst possible career choice for her but she doesn’t want to let her mom down. How can Willow find other people their HEA if she has no clue what that even is?
Reid Fortino has a great job and his best friend lives across the hall from him. He is living his best life and never saw the attraction he had for his best friend coming. Now that they both realize what has been there all along they need to figure out what comes next.
This was a sweet, sexy and fun collaboration with lots of laughs that kept me invested from start to finish. The H/h had tons of chemistry that burned up the sheets too. Hopefully we will hear more from this series in the future.
They say guys and girls can’t be just friends, but we were—until we weren’t. I don’t know when it changed, but I thank the Lord that it did.
Willow Hayes has one more chance to prove to her mother that she has what it takes to step in and run the family’s matchmaking service once her mother retires. She’s convinced she has what it takes, even if her track record isn’t exactly great. She decides to use her best friend, and neighbor, Reid Fortino as her “client”. He’s sexy and charming so it shouldn’t be hard to find him a match, however, the more women she searches through to find his perfect match, the more Willow realizes that her feelings for her friend go beyond the friend-zone. Turns out Reid feels the same way but their ideas of what their future will look like are very different. Can this imperfect match find a way to work through their differences or will this just be one more failed matchmaking attempt to add to Willow’s record?
This was a light and sweet friends-to-lovers romance that fans of Corinne Michaels and Melanie Harlow will be sure to love! It’s everything we’ve come to enjoy about these authors’ writing wrapped into a quick and addictive new story. I loved Willow and Reid’s friendship, they were totally #bestfriendgoals but they also had great romantic chemistry and I loved seeing them come to realize that. I was also very much invested in them not messing up what they had because if things went south between them, it would have been tragic for them to no longer be friends. This story was pretty lightweight when it comes to angst but what it did have was just enough and believable. It was a tough situation because they wanted such different things but it was fun seeing them work through it. I loved how everything came together, the ending and the epilogue were pure swoon! And once you’re done, you should definitely sign up to receive the bonus scene because it’s an extra little nugget of goodness for you! I really enjoyed this story and look forward to future co-written books from these two talented authors!
Willow and Reid are perfectly imperfect!
I’m a sucker for friends-to-lovers and rom-com, and the talented duo Corinne Michaels and Melanie Harlow have nailed it with Imperfect Match. It’s funny, witty, sexy, sassy, and keeps your interest from the first to the last page. You will fall for Reid and his sultry looks and how well he treats his best friend. You will want to be Willow’s best friend, she’s dedicated, smart, and a little kooky, or maybe that’s her sister… This matchmaker has met her match when she tries to hook up her best friend. Chaos ensues, and true feelings are revealed. Imperfect Match is a book you don’t want to miss!
Imperfect Match is everything you would expect from this exceptional writing duo, Melanie Harlow and Corinne Michaels. It’s laugh out loud funny and has all the feels you want in a romantic comedy. Willow and Reid have the perfect friendship. Living across the hall from each other they compliment each other in every way like Willow loves to cook and Reid well he knows how to make the reservations at their favorite restaurants. Willow ropes Reid into watching her sappy shows, Reid makes her go with him to his out there boyish events. But mostly they have so much fun together, laugh and are completely supportive and understand what’s most important. So when Willow is put to the task of setting Reid up with finding his perfect match through her mom’s match making business at first she is thrilled but soon realizes she doesn’t like any girl for her Reid. Wait what??? And Reid, no one can be Willow for him so why bother. The journey for these two is so funny and it’s also incredibly sexy hot. The banter is crazy good and Willow’s sister Aspen is omg the funniest. The emotional feels are oh so real. But the HEA is icing on the cake. You’ll love this perfect match!
I absolutely adored this book! I’m pretty sure I wore a smile on my face for the majority of the story. Willow and Reid are best friends and neighbors. They have such a good and easy friendship. I really enjoyed reading about their friendship and I loved when they decided to take it to the next level. I thought everything would be all peachy, but unfortunately they each wanted different things for their future. This caused some turmoil in their new relationship and they had to reevaluate themselves and their relationship. I also enjoyed the side characters and hope some of them, particularly Willows sister, gets their own book. Great read. I highly recommend. Sweet friends to lovers. Very well written.
So many feels…. Reid and Willow are best of friends, but blinded by their friendship to see they would be perfect for each other. They’re so perfect for each other that it shouldn’t make sense for them to be together. They know each other so well they don’t need words, but when they stumble into the next phase of their relationship, they’re scared of losing each other. They do want different things in life, and those differences can tear them apart. How can they want each other, but different things at the same time? I loved this story. It was told so well and the family characters around them were fantastic! The extra epilogue bonus scene was the perfect ending to this story!
