Galen was bred to be a royal bodyguard and protect his prince. With his planet now destroyed, he’s grown powerful and forged his wealthy gladiatorial House on the desert planet of Carthago. All Galen knows is honor, service, and sacrifice. Now his life depends on working with one battle-hardened woman of Earth as they fight together to survive. But Sam Santos is not what he expected. Tough, yes. A brilliant fighter, for sure. But there is a softer side to the woman as well. And Galen finds himself irrevocably drawn to all of Sam’s captivating facets.
Then they uncover a devious plot by the Thraxians that could bring down the foundations of the Kor Magna Arena and all they hold dear. Galen and Sam will stop at nothing to defeat the evil alien slavers, even if it means war. In amongst the fighting, Sam may finally show a man who lives for everyone else, that he deserves more than just honor and freedom, but love as well…if they survive the coming battle.
Note to readers: This sci fi romance contains a lot of action (think wild fights and daring escapes), tough gladiators (the warriors of the House of Galen and the House of Rone) and a steamy romance (between a sexy, mysterious imperator and a tough fighter from Earth). So if you like it fast, and gritty, and sexy, this is for you!

Q & A with the Author
Q – How would you describe the Galactic Gladiators series?
A – Gladiators in space! The desert planet of Carthago is home to the Kor Magna Arena: it’s a mix of low and high tech. Think the Colosseum of Ancient Rome with a touch of professional sports and a side of Las Vegas glitz and temptation. You’ll see a lot of action-packed romance as women abducted from Earth clash with tough, gritty gladiators fighting for love, honor, and freedom.
Q – Why did you want to write the series?
A – It’s no secret that I love action, adventure and romance. And I love science fiction romance and all the endless possibilities. Raiden, the gladiator hero of Gladiator, stormed into my head and wanted his story told. I saw this big, tough man covered in tattoos facing off with an equally tough female space marine from Earth. That’s where it all began, and since then the planet of Carthago, the intrigues of the Kor Magna Arena, and an amazing band of gladiators came to life.
Q – What order should I read the books in?
A – All the Galactic Gladiator books will be stand-alone romances centered on the Kor Magna Arena, rescuing abducted humans, and making a life far from home. Here’s the order I suggest:
– Gladiator
– Warrior
– Hero
– Protector
– Champion
– Barbarian
– Beast
– Rogue
– Guardian
– Cyborg
– Imperator

Space station security specialist Sam Santos has been fighting to survive since she was abducted by alien slavers. Everything changes when the Imperator of the House of Galen sacrifices his freedom to help her in the arena. Galen has vowed to keep her safe and take down Zaabah but it will take more than just the House of Galen to bring it down.
After ten books we finally have Galen’s story! Galen has been the cool and controlled Imperator of the House of Galen for years. He never lets anyone close until he meets the fierce champion of Zaabah. Sam was the perfect woman for Galen because she is a strong and deadly warrior but she also has a kind side. She is a partner and asset to the House of Galen. I just really loved Sam and Galen.
“I’ll be your shield, your protector, your champion. Wherever you need me, I’ll stand beside you, behind you, or kneel at your feet. Whatever you need.”
Sam was a fascinating woman. She could survive in the area but also loved the finer things in life, like good food. I loved the different sides of her and that she was unpredictable. She was just the perfect woman for Galen because she would keep him on his toes.
As with all of the books in this series, this one was an action packed adventure with some steamy romance. We finally have the fall of Zaabah and the end of the House of Thrax. I loved that we finally got to see all the houses working together to destroy this evil enterprise. I can’t get enough of this gladiator filled world and I am so glad we are getting a side series featuring the cyborgs.
If you are looking for action packed romance filled with hunky alien gladiators, check this series out.
I love this series so hard. Meeting all of the different gladiators and the Earth woman they rescue. In this book, Imperator Galen meets his match in Sam, another Earth woman. They are so great together. I wish the series would never end. LOL

Game Over: Earth Women Win
Galen, the Imperator of the House of Galen, has been a royal bodyguard, a refugee, a gladiator, and a secret champion of those victims of Thraxian slavers who are unsuited to fight in the Arena at Kor Magna. He’s a real hero, a genuine good guy, and he always keeps his promises. He promised to free the Earth women from the illegal slave arena at Zaabha, and his book starts with him battling next to Samantha of Earth, the reigning Champion of Zaabha, to free her and himself from the Thraxians. No woman has ever had the fighting skills, the courage, and the indomitable spirit to match Galen – but Samantha does. Though he tries to fight it, theirs is a love written in the stars. IF they can live to enjoy it! The Thraxians are devious and powerful enemies, with a long-time grudge against Galen and his House. It’s a war to the death between the House of Galen and the House of Thrax. Only one will survive, and Galen’s allies are few… The eleventh and last in line of the Galactic Gladiators series is a typical Anna Hackett action romance, with pulse-pounding action, thrilling escapes, brutal battles and moments of dire peril. The heroes are strong and mighty alpha males, their human mates are tough and gutsy equals in the fight for the right, and the only thing Galen does better than fighting for justice is loving his woman. The world-building is first-class, and the concluding chapters are the author’s ingenious way of recapping and reconnecting with the heroes of Books 1 – 10 and their human mates. Fine reading and a fitting end to the saga of House Galen.
Galen and Sam are an awesome couple. Love the heat and sexiness between them. They are high up in my list of favorite couples in this and all of Ms. Anna’s series. I totally recommend this book and this author. If you haven’t tried this series you are missing out some great stories.

Thank you, Anna Hackett! I’ve been waiting for Galen’s story ever since I read the first Galactic Gladiator book. I knew it was going to be a good one, and it really was. Galen and Sam’s story was completely awesome, and as much as I may have hated waiting to be able to read it, the build up really helped.
Galen and the House of Galen went to Zaabha to rescue some humans. They were able to get one out, but Sam, as the Champion of Zaabha, and former security chief, was unable to get out. Galen refused to leave her there alone, so he jumped out of the transport and stood by Sam to help fight everyone off so that his gladiators would be able to escape.
Now the Thraxians, who hate Galen with the firey heat of 1000 white hot suns, have their enemy fighting in Zaabha, and they are bound and determined to keep him there and make him miserable, so they have him fighting for hours and hours and hours straight. He can barely keep going, but they keep sending out wave and wave of fighters, many of whom have control disks on their heads, so they aren’t under their own control. Finally, they let Sam come out with him, and after having them fight for a little bit, the Thraxians shock them and knock them out. Sam comes to alone, while Galen is off getting tortured. I mean, if you have your mortal enemy right there, the man who has tried to take you down, what else are you going to do? Eventually, Sam and Galen are able to escape and start toward Carthago so that they can get help from House of Galen and all the other gladiator Houses.
I love Sam. She is so tough. She’s had to be to survive, but at the same time, she’s really vulnerable. She’s had to shut off so much of herself to get through her ordeal. She has always tried not to kill her opponents, but that hasn’t always been possible, so she carries all those deaths in her head, plus the fact that she was taken by the Thraxians and she can never go home. When she confronts Galen, I just wanted to cheer. She’s going to be so good for him and for House of Galen in general.
Now, I can’t wait to see what happens next! I think all the main House of Galen fighters are paired up, so we’ve got the House of Rone to work with. It ought to be interesting to see, and I really don’t want to wait, but I guess I will.
This is a long awaited book for fans of Anna Hackett’s Galactic Gladiator series. Galen has been ever present in the first 10 books of the series but we, the readers, have never had more than a mere glimpses of the man. This is his book and we finally learn just what makes him tick. Filled with action and steam, this book delivers — keeping the pages turning and heating up your reader.
Ok these guys had me hooked from the very first beginning, the first book in the series created an addiction that is ongoing. I mean I was that addicted, the craving for more just grew and grew. I’ve been impatiently waiting for Galen’s story for soooooo long and once it was in my greedy little hands… well I was on it so fast you could see the smoke billowing out in a trail you’d see from space I swear. Galen and Sam’s story has it all, what can I say there’s action, adventure, ugly bad aliens and the there’s Galen… Hot Damn!!! Oops forgot the passion, the sneaky plans for domination by bad dudes, a seriously hot love story thrown into the mix and um did I mention Galen. Oh and that ending. Anna never fails and always hits the spot no matter the story. Her world building is creative and unique, the characters are unforgettable and is a guaranteed one sitting read. As usual in one a one word description… Awesome!
I have been waiting for a long time for this book. Let me tell you it was worth the wait! Galen and Sam’s story was gripping, intense and hot. I fell into the story from page one and wanted it to last forever. Being the Champion of Zaabha was torture for Sam. What a strong and determined lady. This is one of my favorite books from this author in a long list of “keepers”. I received an advanced copy of this book. I freely leave this honest review.
IMPERATOR – GRABS YOUR ATTENTION FROM THE START. Galen’s story exceeded my expectations with superb action, spine-chilling suspense, horrific danger, life-threatening issues, thrilling vivid scene descriptions, humor, camaraderie, unconditional love, an awesome epilogue that had me cheering for joy, toe-curling fiery romance and a phenomenal happily ever after.
Galen’s persona confirms he is a driving force. His past provides reasons for his protective nature and why he built the House of Galen. Samantha Santos a woman from earth was captured by the horned beasts Thraxians. To stay alive she became their Champion fighter. Together they face many dangerous challenges to get to their most wanted happy ending.
MEMORABLE EXHILARATING fabulous read. The full cast of heroes and heroines are definitely powerful and engaging. The chemistry between Sam and Galen is more than genuine; a worthy match. It was fabulous to see the powerful Imperator submit to true love. I relished this story making it one of my top reads. Finding this to be a most gratifying read {of my own volition without any stipulations, I reviewed an advanced copy.} Without any reservations, I recommend this read.
This could be read as a stand-alone, but I recommend reading the series in order for full enjoyment. This is the long awaited HEA for Galen! He finally meets his match in every way in Samantha! This story has action, suspense, humor, aliens, and steamy romance! The best part is the appearances of most of the interesting characters from the previous books! There are a couple of hints as to who will be featured in the upcoming short stories Ms. Hackett has planned, but there isn’t a cliff hanger ending.
I love Anna Hacketts books. She nails it with every one.
The is probably the last book in this series.
At last, the highly anticipated story of Galen. As expected, intense and exciting. Hard, cold and implacable Imperator Galen only knew honor and sacrifice. As a royal guard he was taught there was nothing more for him. Carrying a deep sense of guilt upon him, when Samantha Santos, Champion of Zaabha, was stirring his feelings, he was forced to open his heart and hope for more. Sam understood Galen’s feelings, she was his match and she will fight for him, in every sense. Two true warriors struggling with their past, their emotions and a powerful enemy in a story full of action, adventure, suspense, strong emotions, bloody fights, brutal enemies, romance and passion. Liked how Samantha made Galen lower his defenses and accept what could be his gift for his sacrifices. Enjoyed the last summary and the intriguing hint that there could be something more.
Galen has been the spine of the Gladiators in their fight to save the Earthlings who had been abducted by the Thraxians. But he always holds himself apart, finding satisfaction in a job well done but never having any pleasure for himself. He was Raiden’s bodyguard but he is now more of a friend and no longer needs to be shadowed by Galen. But Galen can’t switch off those protective instincts and when they finally find Sam he refused to leave her behind and sacrifices his freedom to help her!
Zaabha is still hell and Sam has become its queen! The implant may no longer control her but she is still the Thraxians prisoner. But after she and Galen make it to freedom, the danger is just beginning.
We find out more about Galen and Raiden’s homeworld and history. Sam is a complicated character who, like Galen, has continually put others first. Now she sees herself as damaged goods and unworthy of love. But Galen is determined to break through her walls, even if he doesn’t want to admit just how important to him she has become!
There are lovely little vignettes in the epilogue, showing the other Gladiators and their Earth beloveds. I loved getting to see another little slice of their HEA. There were also a few hints that this world is not finished with and might come back!!
