Nothing compares to the physical chemistry between an immortal and his life mate—or to the spellbinding thrills in a new Argeneau novel by New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands… baby has been tricky enough. But as little Liam grows, so does his appetite. He needs more blood than she can personally supply. And when her attempts to steal from a blood bank go awry, Allie wakes up surrounded by doctors, cops…and the gorgeous, mesmerizing Magnus, who she can neither trust nor resist.
Magnus never expected to find his life mate breaking into a blood bank. Clearly, Allie is already entwined with his world—in deeper, more dangerous ways than she realizes. A band of vicious rogue immortals is in pursuit, and Magnus’ first task is to keep her safe. His second: to awaken her to mind-blowing pleasure, and hope she’ll accept the life, and the passion, that only he can offer.

A popcorn read, It’s a light, entertaining book.
Letting go of the past
The author really does an amazing job with this series. Each couple is new and refreshing and each story of how they became life mates is completely different in all thirty books. You would think, with such a central theme, that there would be overlap, but aside from having met the character(s) in previous books each book is a brand new adventure. I really enjoyed this book. The story is both heart breaking and endearing and the HEA is perfect. I can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of the single immortals.
Immortal Born by Lynsay Sands is book 30 in the Argeneau Series. This is the story of Allie and Magnus. I did feel you could make this a standalone book if you wish to do so. Allie has been left the care of a orphaned vampire baby named Liam. But her attempts to keep the growing baby feed is not working so she thinks to break into a blood bank. The next thing she knows she wakes up with people around her asking questions. Magnus never thought he would find his mate breaking into the blood bank but it does give him the knowledge that she is already in the know of vampires. It doesn’t take Magnus long to claim what he feels is his but of course nothing goes easy.
I am such a fan of Ms. Sands writing! I have loved everything I have read of hers.
Lynsay Sands’ Immortal Born is a delightful book fills with action and humor. It begins with a prologue which lead a reader into the story about why Allie Chambers is on the run with her son, Liam, who is no ordinary boy. She attempts to rob a Blood Bank but fails. This brings Magnus on the scene when he learns that Allie is his life mate. He and the Argeneau gang fights to protect Allie and Liam from an old enemy. Immortal Born reunites the reader with the colorful characters from previous books whom many are now parents. The relationship between Magnus and Allie starts off as heartwarming and turns explosive after she is turned. Lynsay Sands is amazing storyteller of Argeneau series. I received a complimentary ARC by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I always have loved this series. This one didn’t let me down
Huge fan of the Argeneau series but I really like the build up in the story line. Still trying to figure out how Marguerite knew they were a match. When did Marguerite meet the heroine?
love the argeneau series, i’ve read the whole series and own more than half of them. series is lots of fun, with some hysterically funny scenes, all interesting characters and all wildly romantic
Sizzling read!
I always look forward to the next book in the series. Following the lives of this little community. Lynsay’s writing is so much fun and love her character development, I’m pretty sure she’s met these people, they feel so real.
There is always a little twist in the story’s tail, some I can pick with a bit of mental sleuthing, others come out from left field and then there’s the occasional red herring, just to keep you on your mental toes.
For me these are a fun, laid back, relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyable entertaining read. A page turner that’s over too soon.
I truly enjoyed this book! Enjoyed learning about Liam’s true mom and how Allie came to be his mom and the why… seems there’s always a bad guy around and this one was a baddie. Enjoyed “meeting” more of the Argeneau family and their friends. Magnus has been in the last few and glad to see he found his life mate. Would like to see a book that talks about Liam and the immortal children as they grow to adulthood. I was a bit confused about the London bit as I thought they were still in Canada, seeing as I didn’t know where Port Henry was. All in all I love this series it’s one of my get-a-away series i read to escape reality for a few hours.
I just finished Immortal Born & loved it! Lynsay Sands is one of my favorite authors & this is one of my all time favorite series. Immortal Born is about life mates Allie who is mortal & Magnus & her son Liam who is immortal (Allie is raising the son of her immortal friend Stella who died). As usual the characters (including the secondary characters) are so likable, funny, interesting, caring & a pleasure to read about. You won’t be disappointed & I’m already looking forward to her next book!!
Fantastic read and as always she did not disappoint . Sexy characters and story line. I can’t wait for the next book by this author.
Love the whole series. Great stories
Lynsay Sands never disappoints!
Love this complete series.
Love Lynsay Sands book, every one of her books are a must read.
Loved the book
I love this author and collect all her books!!!!
Life has never been simple for Allie Chambers, but it’s just become much more complicated by her need to fulfill her promise to care for her friend’s now orphaned son. Babies are hard enough, but he’s an immortal baby and as he begins to need more blood than Allie can provide him herself, she gets desperate and tries to rob the blood bank where she works. She wakes up surrounded by police and two detectives she recognizes as immortals and instantly fears, though one of them, Magnus, she finds instantly and strangely compelling.
Magnus is thrilled to finally have a potential life mate. He never expected an attempted felon, but it soon becomes apparent that Allie has more dangerous ties to the immortal world than even she knew. Now Magnus must keep her safe from the rogue immortals pursuing her and her son as well as convince her to take a chance on loving and trusting another person and accepting the passion she’ll only find with him.
This book was a light and fun read in parts and equally suspenseful in others. I had a hard time keeping all the characters straight at times, but I loved all the family and friends coming together and the homey family vibe this book had because of it. That said, the homeyness did take away from the steaminess of it and made Magnus and Allie’s relationship take a bit of a backseat at times. This was far from my usual romance jam, but I continue to be charmed by this series and want more of it.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Another great read in the Argeneau saga – keep ’em comong Lynsay.
