Imagine watching the woman you love live out her dream love story… without you.Standing on the sidelines, swallowing pain and pride, watching her fall more and more in love. Knowing each second she’s with him is a chance for her to completely forget about us.That’s okay. I’m everything wrong. I would only hurt her. Break her heart. Now imagine a knock at the door and it’s her. She’s crying. He … the door and it’s her. She’s crying. He cheated on her. She needs someone. She says she needs me.
I have to fight this. I can’t let her fall for me the way I’ve fallen for her. I’m going to crush her worse than he did.
Imagine her wanting a kiss. Begging with her eyes. I’m a strong man… but she’s… even stronger.
One kiss.
Two hearts.
Three words…
Darlin’ – this is a full length 90,000 word novel that isn’t a second but rather the one chance they never truly had… until now… complete HEA, no cliffhanger ending, but an ending that you will NEVER forget. Thanks for being here with me with this novel.

This was my first Jaxson Kidman book to read, and definitely will not be the last.!!!!
What a beautifully told second chance Romance, my heart ached for Adam, for the boy he was and the Man he grew to be. He loved Elena with all of his heart and only wanted what was best for her, even if that meant stepping aside to watch someone else love her. I loved Elena too, but only wished she saw through Chad sooner and was strong enough to do what her heart always wanted, and that was to be with Adam. I could not put this story down, and was feeling anxious at times, just wanting Adam and Elena to finally have there time. This was an absolutely beautiful Story, 5 stars all the way from me
My heart is still recovering from the kaleidoscope of emotions that is Imagine Us. Jaxson Kidman has done it again and then some with his latest novel.
Imagine Us is a melting pot of love, heartache, tragedy, friendship, hopes and dreams. Adam comes home to find his one that never really was, Elena, on his doorstep crying and what follows is their story from past to present with the in between years that they were apart. This book is an absolute dream to read as the characters’ souls are laid bare for us warts and all. There are also some wonderful supporting characters in the book and a few that I really hope we meet again. Jaxson goes in deep with this one and it shines through in his straight talking, real life, style of writing that never fails to reel you in and make you feel alive. I truly recommend that you read Imagine Us and find out for yourself.
His name was Bryan and he lived two houses down from me in Washington Crossing, PA. I met Bryan when I was in 5th Grade. We became good friends for the next four years. I wanted him to be my FIRST kiss. I wanted him to just be my first everything. I joined the local church so I could see him more. To this day, I don’t know if he ever thought of me as more than a friend. I haven’t thought about Bryan in a long time until recently. This book brought back so many memories. I should have told him so many things. While reading this book, I felt everything Elena was feeling. I felt all the hurt from past relationships. Adam was my “Bryan”. I can only say this book hit home so hard and I would definitely read it again.
An amazing book with all the feels. You feel like you are on a roller coaster with all the emotions that are embedded into this story. This story has certainly lived up to its hype. Jaxson Kidman is a one-click author to me!!
Have I read Jaxson Kidman before, yes, have I reviewed them before, I don’t think so and I now know why. After you’ve finished reading you have to process it all and read it all again. Maybe he’s really Willy Wonka, because he makes you like Mike TV and puts you right in the story with them, so you feel everything they go through. Then he puts you on the boat to travel the chocolate river which way it’s going you just don’t know till the end. So yes, I am saying Jaxson is Willy Wonka. Another amazing story.
This wonderful book by Jaxson Kidman is closer to 4.5/5 for me. This one takes us on a journey that spans several years – following unrequited love, unrecognized love, and misplaced love until timing and courage coincide.
Well edited.
Adam and Elena have been friends since high school. Adam has long carried a torch for Elena, while she focused on loving (the completely undeserving!) Chad. Life happens and years pass. All the while, Adam loves Elena and Elena continues life with Chad. Until one night when Elena finally sees life with Chad is not all she believes. Leaving one life behind, she returns to the only place she’s ever been really happy – with Adam. Adam takes Elena in, vowing to give her the space she needs to pick up the pieces of her life. However, Adam has pieces of his own life to fix. Will they be able to work through their own issues? Will Adam embrace the opportunity to finally tell Elena how he has always felt? Will Elena face the truth of her own heart?
As in so many of his books, there are pieces of Jaxson’s own history falling across the landscape of the pages. Which pieces are real Jaxson and which are fiction? We may never know. What we do know is that he pours his heart into his stories – giving us pieces of real emotion, real life, real joy, real hurt, and real love. Enjoy!
A stunning, beautiful story! Jaxson Kidman has again, written an amazing story of which it is difficult to find the words to do justice. Jaxson delves so deeply into his characters; their lives, emotions and thoughts….so much so, I felt I knew them all and was living every scene with each of them, touching my heart and soul, and more so because of the fact that some of the past he writes about, is part of his own past life. I felt so much understanding and empathy with the characters even though I haven’t experience what they went through, but that’s down to Jaxson’s skilful writing talent. I felt each of the many characters had an amazing story to tell. None of them had an easy life, but they lived it the best they could and each one could have a book written about them. I loved them all so much! Adam and Elena’s love for each other is just so beautiful, emotional and deep; true soul mates……but Jaxson keeps us hanging on to find out if they have their HEA.
I absolutely loved reading about the blocks and releases in Elena’s writing process and it made me wonder how much of this was Jaxson’s own experiences too. A beautiful story, which I highly recommend you read!
IMAGINE US By Jaxson Kidman
Oh my gosh! This is the 1st novel I have read by Jaxson Kidman and I am wondering why it took me so long to find this talented author??? This is one excellent read! I loved this story of Adam and Elena. They are both broken, flawed and real. This story is emotional, it is a second chance romance, it has angst, disappointments, passion, chemistry and is a very complicated love story. I wish it was possible to give this more than 5 stars as it is certainly deserving of more! Congratulations Jaxson on a very well done story!
“Imagine Us” is a beautiful and poignant story about friendship, love and second chances. I was captivated by the creative and artistic phrases the author used to describe the memories of Elena and Adam, and the beautiful scenery surrounding Adam’s lake house. I could feel the peace and comfort they received from that tranquil setting. It was a safe haven for both of them so they could reflect on their lives and make decisions for the future. The friendship they had as teenagers may have been dormant for a few years, but when Elena needed someone to comfort her, she hoped that Adam would welcome her with open arms. Adam had his own demons to deal with and his life had been anything but easy. He was still caught up in the memories of his youth and in order to plan for the future, he had to let them go. He needed to be in the present so he could be the man that Elena deserved.
I didn’t know what to expect when I began reading this book, but I can honestly say that it is one of the best books I have ever read. As I turned each page I felt their story building, then taking a step back, as they attempted to reconcile their feelings for each other. Elena and Adam’s powerful story left me hoping that we all have someone we can depend on unconditionally. It doesn’t matter what mistakes we may have made, what is important is what we have learned on the way. Jaxson Kidman is a remarkable writer and I will forever be grateful that he gifted us with this wonderful book.
This is an up and down, back and forth ride from start to finish. I absolutely love Adam. His love, his heart, his entire being… caring, always doing for others… I felt attached to him. I struggled a little getting closer to Elena. I liked her, it just took time to get deeper into her struggle. There is pain, there is love… it all flows into a great read.
4.5 Stars “From the soul of worldwide bestselling author Jaxson Kidman”
The opening line (above) of the Foreward says it all. These ”written words” are from the voice of life experience, not from someone who fakes it. While you may think his characters are flawed, they’re not…they are simply real people living in a real world because life isn’t perfect in fact it can be ugly. If you like to feel all the emotions when you read I implore you to pick up one of his books.
If I’m 100% honest I was a little frustrated with this book. In in fairness it was always going to be a tough task after the perfection of Every Other Weekend. I wanted to grab Adam and Elena and shake some sense into them at times.
Best friends they call themselves, he’s always there for her but she’s going out with Chad. A division, two groups the stoners and the jocks, Chad’s in one group and Adam the other. One night everything changed because of a kiss under an old apple tree. Adam ran because of guilty feelings which started his spiral down the rabbit hole. After work one night he finds Elena crying on his doorstep because Chad has put the final nail in their relationship. Well maybe not but Adam hopes he did.
This was such a well written story with so much emotion. Adam and Elena’s story will grip you from the beginning and bring you on a journey of two people that fell in love very early in life but remained friends for years. Such a heartfelt story that leaves you wanting more.
Wow! Very heart-wrenching read.
A very well told story of fighting life to try to be with the one you love. They both have their own demons to over come, and they could be anyone’s problems.
This book was very emotional, this was another amazing read by Jaxson he doesn’t disappoint. I have fallen in love with his books and his writing and cant wait for the next book! Check him out he is an awesome writer!!! This book is a must read and it will have you on the edge of your seat!!
Imagine Us does not disappoint. This second chance story is not like any other you may have read before. Adam and Elena knew each other as teens and now they meet again as adults.
Your heart will break, fall to your stomach and ache for them. Their situation will upset you. You’ll be angry at Elena. You’ll want to scream at Adam. Eventually you’ll come to understand how and why, but until then you need to buckle up for the rollercoaster ride of emotions. Hang on, it’s going to be a wild ride.
While reading, I recommend a box of tissues, lot’s of chocolate and something soft to throw. Keeping a pillow nearby has saved my ereader multiple times.
As usual, Jaxson has left a piece of his life and a bit of himself within the pages of his book.
The realistic, messy emotions of life add up to another 5 star, must read book.
What a great read. Beautifully written. Once you start this book you can’t put it down. The heartstrings were being pulled. I loved everything that this book contained~characters feelings challenges, the past and present. The characters were wonderfully written with an undeniable connection. This is a definite must read, you won’t want to miss.
Life was changing and no one likes change.
Tonight would be life changing for Adam.
Adam grew up in a small town and never left. That happens all too often. You talk about leaving, can’t wait to, but you never do. Adam owns The Butter Kiss Diner and wakes up everyday to do it all over again.
Elena is a struggling, published author who dabbles in real estate. She’s happy with her high school boyfriend Chad, but before Chad…there was Adam, her best friend in the entire world.
Life got in the way, as it often does, and sometimes people fall by the wayside. Apparently, so did Adam. That connection was lost until, years later, Adam finds Elena sitting on his porch. There comes a time in life when you have to decide to go with the safe option or take a chance and just go for it. Plain and simple, but it’s not really. That’s when reality and real life take over. Years ago their world’s collided and it’s about to happen again.
There’s pretty much nothing Adam wouldn’t do for Elena, but having his heart ripped from his chest twice? Yeah, that was not happening. And Losing her after just getting her back, was definitely not an option.
WOW, THIS IS DEFINITELY ANOTHER 5 STAR READ FROM JAXSON ! INTENSE, EMOTIONAL AND REAL ! SECRET GLANCES AND HIDDEN FEELINGS THAT COULD NO LONGER BE DENIED !
A coming of age story with complications from childhood that ultimately follow them into adulthood.
Jaxson puts so much of himself into every book he writes, it’s hard to tell the difference between real life and fiction. His stories are raw, honest and heartbreakingly beautiful. His characters are flawed, yet redeemable. He truly is a masterful storyteller !
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AMAZING BOOK ! ! !
