Sean is a man with needs—needs that a lot of women were ready and willing to fulfill. Yet, the only woman that he wants to fulfill them dumped him for another man. A man who’s a member of his MC and is someone he has to see every single day and twice on Sundays. He’s bitter and angry. He’s definitely not in the right frame of mind when it comes to dealing with women. Which is unfortunate for his … unfortunate for his new partner, Naomi, a fresh-out-of-school and totally green paramedic.

Naomi’s got enough problems on her plate. A brother who’s self-destructive and doesn’t care who he takes down with him. A man who she’s in love with but who doesn’t love her. A job that she hates because it is a constant reminder of what she can’t have.
Desperate to distance herself from her problems, she runs, taking the first job in her field that she finds willing to take on someone with so little experience.
The last thing she needs is a perpetually pissed off partner, especially when he sets her blood on fire.
But life doesn’t ask how much you can handle when it dishes out challenges. It just keeps piling them on until you’ve bested them or you’ve buckled under them.

Sean really doesn’t want to like his new partner, Naomi. He just wants to be left alone to live his life however he damn well pleases and without complications.
Naomi doesn’t care what he wants, she can’t be anything but herself. It isn’t long before she’s breaking down his walls and making him feel again. She’s trying to pull him closer and he’s pushing her away.
It’s not long before Sean sees the error of his ways.
It’s too bad, though, that by the time he realizes she’s the one, Naomi’s already gone.

Sean and Naomi are ones that i feel need a real chance at finding love. each of them have made the choice in the past to offer their hearts to people that didn’t want them, and in turn has made them feel as if love just might not be out there for them. they both have had to be looked at as being second best when it comes to those that they loved. Sean has to see his competition regularly since it is a MC brother that has the heart to the one that he thought that he loved. while Naomi tried to give her heart to a man that just didn’t see her in the same light, hence making her decide that it was a time for a change in life. this change including a new location. Sean and Naomi’s insecurities when it comes to love and relationships almost brings their love to an end before it really has a chance. but, once they are able to see that they need each other, they are able to be the couple that i knew they could be. must mostly what they thought they felt for those that they said they loved in the past really wasn’t love at all.
it was nice to see some of the older characters again. and i can’t wait to get more of these characters in future books as well.
Ever since being introduced to Naomi back in the Kilgore Fire series I just could not wait for this quiet but a spit fire woman to get her happy ending. And she finally got that win Sean. Who deserved his own happy ending after his bad hand in relationships as well. There is a little suspense with a stalker but you’ll never guess who. So go read the book, it’s great. I definitely recommend reading it and the series, well all the series their great too.
Another Winner! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Sean and Naomi’s story is full of so much love. These two coworkers find their love while working along side each other. The love and life they intend to build together and the friendships they make can lead them to a little bit of danger. Some of this danger is ultimately fatal to some of those friendships and the life they are hoping to build. Sometimes you don’t value what you have till its gone. Still they find their Happy!
5 Glorious Stars!
Sean and Naomi are so perfect together, it was like they were made for one another. I am a big fan of Lani Lynn Vale, I think I own all her books so far and have preordered the ones to come. There is nothing to be disappointed about in any of the books in this series. The humor Ms Vale includes in each story is just fabulous.
Loved this book, but I love any book written by Lani Lynn Vale
Hot damn I think I am in love with Sean. As a huge fan of Lani Lynn Vale’s and having my favourite biker of all her series being Torren from Charge to My Line I never thought she could ever move me from this, well I was wrong Seanshine is the man and believe me it isn’t just his beard that I will be there for. This book will have you laughing until you cry, it will have you falling in love with both Naomi and Sean and at times it will make you cry as your heart breaks. Don’t even get me started on how sizzling these two are in the bedroom. Then to top it off the jokes that surround bowel movements are never ending and will have you in hysterics. I would have to say that I’m Only Here For The Beard would have to be my favourite book from Lani Lynn Vale (and I have read every one of them) so awarding it five stars just doesn’t seem enough so my rating is Ten HOT Sexy Bikers.
Sean and Naomi’s story is about learning to trust in someone enough to fall in love. Their story is amazing. Absolutely loved it.
Love this series. Wonderful characters and amazing story line. Couldn’t put it down. Highly recommend all things Lani Lynn Vale
I know I say this all the time, but you really DO need to read the previous books, from like all her series. LOL there are a lot of returning characters in this book, and it was so good to see them, so to speak.
We first met Sean in Downy & Memphis’ book, and then we could see a glimpse of his women issues, well his luck, sadly, hasn’t changed. The last book already let us know of an issue between him and Ellen, mainly someone else coming into Ellen’s life. Now, Sean is heartbroken and a little betrayed, but like Dory he just keeps swimming, until one day his new partner, Naomi, makes him take notice.
Naomi we have met before in Aspen and Drew’s book, although she has been in other books, just their story we got to see more of her. Naomi has what has to be the worst luck going, so she decides its time for a fresh start, and moves. Her new partner is Sean and she will do her best to stay out of his radar; in fact she does her best to just do her job and stay out of everyone’s way. Sean finally decides to make a move on her, but as is the way with things, he proceeds to push her to the breaking point and she decides she will give him his space and leave. Now Sean has to figure out how to get her back and hope its not too late.
This movie that I get in my head every time I read a LLV book, just keeps getting better and better. She makes me cry, laugh, pissed and flushed and this can all be in the same freaking chapter! This was once again an amazing read and I loved everything about it. I am wondering about a timeline issue, but I’ll figure that out when I reread. 5 stars all the way.
