“SUCH A GREAT READ! I could not put this one down. Lots of great steam but a really heartfelt story line. I cannot wait to read more in this series!” – Jackie from Amazon
“The trait I enjoy most in Iris Morland’s work as an author is that she shows her characters as they are, not as they hope to be. That is what makes The Nearness of You so compelling.” – Isha from Amazon

I’ll Be Home for Christmas (The Thorntons #7) was a good read by Iris Morland. The Thorntons are a family that is filled with alpha men, passionate women, and a whole lot of heart. It is Christmas time and the Thornton’s are spending the holiday in a cabin deep in the woods of Washington. There are twelve adults, four kids, and a dog all in one big cabin. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by the author.
~Harrison & Sara
After two years of marriage, Sara and Harrison are still two pillars of love and strength. With little Bennett now 10 months, their family has grown into all they could ask for. Although, now it appears that they have a moody adolescent in James, but growing pains are no match Dr Thornton.
~Caleb & Megan
The joys of being a parent are many and rewarding, but Megan and Caleb have been missing out on that special intimate connection. After Evie’s birth, Megan was recovering and now they are often pass like exhausted ships in the night. But Officer Thornton will not be denied his just rewards.
~Mark & Abby
Leaving their peaceful home on the range to join the boisterous Thornton clan for Christmas is going to be a change for Mark and Abby. They love their quiet life on the ranch with the horses and cats, but being around all their beloved family is a blessing. As everyone gathers Abby can’t help, as she watches her nieces and nephews, but feel overwhelming sadness at her unlikelihood of the joy of motherhood. But Christmas is the time for faith and miracles.
~Lizzie & Trent
After two years of marriage and a beautiful bouncing baby girl, Lizzie and Trent finally seem to have found the happiness they were destined for all along. Lizzie loves her life currently but lately she has been feeling the itch to spread her musical wings. Touring would mean either leaving Bea, Travis, or both behind – none of which is acceptable. But denying her muse is like stifling a piece of herself… this musical mama is having a blue Christmas!
~Seth & Rose
With over a year of happiness and love, both Seth and Rose know that love is best healer there is. Rose never gave much thought to the institution of marriage, but with Seth she is thinking that it’s something she desires greatly. He mentioned it once then never again to her dismay and now old doubts of unworthiness are creeping into her mind. Seth has always been her haven will he make a move to be her husband?
~Jubilee & Heath
Their love was hard fought and well won and Jubilee and Heath are going to make this a Christmas to remember. True to form Mother Thornton has been making the wedding preparations for Jubilee and Heath a veritable nightmare. With this in mind, Heath is going to surprise his bride-to-be with a surprise ceremony on Christmas Day. Cause all he wants for Christmas is her!
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book
This is like a collection of final chapters/epilogues for the series, and leaves the reader with gloriously happy endings for each couple who featured in each book in the series. Very satisfying!
Read the books that precede this one first. Excellent series.
I’ll Be Home For Christmas
By Iris Morland, is a heart warming holiday book, about the Thornton siblings. I really loved reading it!
They all decided to spend Christmas
in the Cascades. In a cabin, with
6 couples, kids, & a dog. You will enjoy catching up with each of the brothers,
& sisters. Hearing about the lives,
being married, & having kids.
The Thorntons is a wonderful series,
& I’ll Be Home For Christmas is a
added bonus.
A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!!
