When her father is murdered by a Taliban cell in the tribal regions of Pakistan, Khalia Patterson reluctantly steps into his shoes to carry on the legacy of Fair Start Foundation, a non-profit group dedicated to furthering the education of girls. There she meets Hunter Phillips, the ex-SEAL and head of her Titanium security team, and quickly learns that coming to Pakistan might prove to be a … deadly decision.
Battling demons of his own, Hunter grudgingly leads Khalia’s protective detail as a favor to his boss. From their first meeting it’s clear she’s going to be trouble, and that the cell that killed her father is hell bent on taking her out as well. Keeping her alive is one of the toughest assignments he’s ever faced, yet through one harrowing situation after another she continually impresses him with her strength and inner courage. Even though he fights his feelings for her, it’s a losing battle. And when the job is over, he doesn’t know how he’ll let her go.

Ms Cross’ stories are always a thrilling read. There’s a lot of action and some romantic sexy times. This story highlights the difficulty for young ladies to get an education in certain parts of the world.
Enjoyed the reading the book
There were moments of brilliance in this book. Unfortunately there were also moments of mediocrity.
To be fair, this book was exciting and compelling and I had a hard time putting it down. But it was the nonstop action that kept me hooked, not the romance. Kaylea Cross can write an action scene like very few romance writers can. Her research and …
Typical Kaylea Cross writing-style I came to love reading a long time ago. Hunter just lost his best buddy and brother-in-arms when he’s send back to almost the same place as team-leader protecting Khalia. Never in their wildest dreams did they think, they had to run for their lifes – multiple times. Very fascinating and suspensful.
I have read all there books, and reread some of them.
Great stories, love her characters. Can’t wait for the next one.
Awesome reading
Such a fast, heart racing story….it was great!!!!
This story is filled with tragedy of how hard women’s lives can be in under developed countries and those people who try to improve them . Hard to put down!
Like a series
I love all her books
I liked this book because of the story content and the human compasion element. It was exciting, with action and emotion.
It has a slow start but really picked up. Loved both the characters
Loved this book. Author always has action packed romances.
It was very entertaining and easy reading.
Great read
What a thrill ride. Action packed and built around some great characters. Thanks for the great read.
Looking forward to the next book in the series!
One of the things I love about “Ignited” (nook) is that it involves military/ex-military men. Strong, alpha guys of high integrity and a brave woman who is willing to fight along with her man. A well-written and intense story with a HEA.
A well-written story with character depth, heat and adventure. One of the few first books I’ve read that makes me want to continue the series. Hope I feel the same about the rest of the series. You knocked this one out of the ballpark! Congratulations!
like the intensity of the story. The actions that took place are well thought of that some of you might hold your breath while reading. I really love the scenes where the trucks plowed to the building, how Hunter protected Khalia, the scene at the swat valley with the TTP and how they fought their way out of the burning building. Another thing I …
